I think sex on a video game should be allowed as long as it fits into the story. There nothing wrong with showing sex as long as the rating shows that the content is for mature audiences only. Some people however may have a problem with this, and its perfectly natural, considering that sex is always an uncomfortable subject among people, people feel weird talking about it in a serious matter...people feel much better joking about sex or saying innuendos rather than to actually discuss it.Sex is an enigma to some because there parents were too timid to tell them what sex is...majorly because the parents are afraid to tell them not for the child but for them having to explain it.So when people see sex on games or what not they feel like it shouldnt belong there...but sex is a part of us, its around us all..in TV,music, movies, billboard ads...everywhere. So why shouldnt it belong in our games as well? As long as it doesnt feel like it was thrown in there just to have it there and feels like it could happen or part of the story its fine. What I mean is they shouldnt give it a porn theme...meaning someones at the office and a the guy is off to get something and a girl walks by and drops her files and all of a sudden their having sex...no it should be like that, it should be something that goes with the story or fits the timing. If not then people will start to bash games even more and then the developers will come down on games and limit a lot of the things we like to see in games. ;)

Anime Samurai Champloo [from the creator of Cowboy Bebop]
Slade replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
Jin would win. Mugen's style is flashier, but I believe that Jin is the stronger of the two, if only by a little. I'm not just saying this as a Jin fan, because I really like both characters. However,
based on the scanty evidence which is provided by the series, I'm willing to argue that Jin would eventually come out on top. Jin is the one chosen by the scriptwriters to defeat Kariya, who is without a doubt the strongest opponent in the series. Does this prove anything? Not necessarily; maybe Mugen could have done it too. Nevertheless, I think it's significant that Jin ended up being the one to take him down. I could swear Mugen said something in the final episode that's about as close to an acknowledgment or [strike]confession[/strike] concession as a character after his mold would ever get,
but unfortunately I don't remember whether the line was actually all that conclusive. EDIT: Whoops, please excuse the Freudian slip. :animeswea ~Dagger~
I have too agree and disagree with you on that one. Yes Jin is the more Disaplined of the two, but Jin fights with a style that has a form and for that he maybe restricted by that form, for example if I get into a fight and I know the person has studied Tae Kwon Do then I know waht to expect of him and I can predict his moves, although I would leave some distance in case a surprise may arrise. The same could be said about Jin, since he fights with a peticular style it may be easier to predict his moves giving Mugen an advantage. Mugen on the other hand has more of a expect the unexpected. Mugen is not bound by honor like Jin is nor by rules.I think a match like that could go either way though. ;) A lot can make a difference in a fight, not just strengh and skill alone. Emotions can determine the outcome of a duel. Jin tends to keep his emotions out of is battles most of the time...so advantage for him. Mugen on the other hand tends to get angery and tends to be rash about things leaving him to get angry and possible get blinded by his angery...Disadvantage him.,but those emotions can push a person to do incredable things and get your adrenaline running. ;) what do you think? -
I spent over 200 hours on Disgaea in less than two months...trying to max out my stats on all my great characters :wigout: ...400+ hours on Pokemon(gold)and 200+on Ruby..stat maxing too....errr dont ask...it was a long time ago...I was young...and valnurable :o ...200+ on Monster Hunter..I havent even gone online yet :grumble: ....most of the RPG's I have spent about 100+ hours.....what can I say I like to push my characters to their limits...I wouldnt expect no less from my self ;) :o

Anime Avatar: The Last Airbende Official threadr- An Anime?
Slade replied to Nomura's topic in Otaku Central
As far as I knew or read, anime is considered any animation that comes from Japan or originates from Japan. The genres of the anime doesnt matter whether its German,English,Chinese or anyting else, anime is created to be aimed at all audiences.Anime I believe started out in 1963 with Astro Boy(US version of the name)although Mangas(japanese comicbook) have been out before anime, considering that most animes were inspired by manga. ;) As far as Avatar goes, I dont think its an anime because it was made here in America. -
NO!!! it actually ended already :animecry: I missed the last episode because I had alot of things to do and I could watch it....and now I accidentally :animesmil :animeangr peaked at the spoiler...darn :animeangr.....I recently checked out the Manga for it...and I realized its almost a whole entirely different story...I only looked through it quickly like a glance I was wondering if I was right :help:

Oh my god!!!! :animecry: I found the teknoman thread....alright. Well I saw teknoman when I was a kid on sunday mornings on UPN..it was the best. They only showed half of the series, which was a sad, although it was the best part of the series until much, much later in the series when Slade(d-boy) getshis power up and finally is able to transform into tekkaman Blaster blade or Teknoman plus, this suit kicks butt.It took me 13 years or so to find out that they had the rest of the series, although subtitled, it was worth every penny buying it and finally watching the end of it. I heard blade 2 came out but I never really saw it, I heard it wasnt the same as the orignal Teknoman.I love Teknoman! :animeblus :o :D

Anime What anime do you wish you never saw in the first place?
Slade replied to serenayasha's topic in Otaku Central
I cant really say I regret seeing any anime since each one has its good points even the horrible ones....but I guess are some that I could say I dont like or couldnt get into.Dont get mad but I really couldnt get into Witch Hunter Robin.....it was a bit too slow.....and at the time I was watching Last Exile...which is a great anime to watch ;) .I dont like Dragon ball GT....it really brought down the great dragonball and good dragon ball Z series. There was no real story involved...even for a fighting anime.Which I dont like when people say they hate an anime because it has DBZ theme or too much fighting like DBZ....hello did you guys actually watch DBZ....half of it or more was them just starring at each other....hardly any fighting ever really happened. :animeangr plus if anime wants to have a DBZ kind of thing with powers its probably because they want to make an anime on that type of powers but with a better story....nothing wrong with improving...right? :o I didnt like the Betterman series either.Pokemon? well I liked the begining sagas if you can call it that...but now its just too much One piece I love its hilirious, cant figure out why its not liked :( You Dont like Evangelion? :animestun I dont think you should judge an anime by its looks....just because the graphics are a bit out dated doesnt mean a thing....some of the best RPGs ever have low graphics compared to today. It should be the story that interest you...not how pretty it looks. Yeah I guess Shinji is a bad character but only because he represents our indiscisive side of us that we try to deny or cant except. ;) thats MHO. -
Anime what is the first anime you watch? how does it impact on you?
Slade replied to domyoji's topic in Otaku Central
Beast wars is not an anime because its not from japan. Although its my favorite transformers saga ever.It seems thanks to Toonami and Adult swim a lot of people have come to like anime or have come to known it. I wish I they had that when I was growing up...instead of watching bits and pieces of an anime....because the network stopped showing it due to low ratings :( I think i for got to mention Voltron...I only saw one episode at the time, but I think it might of been also one of my first -
I also love the Inu-Yasha ending themes, namely Fukai Mori which I have the acoustic version of. The greatest opening theme of all time belongs to either Neon Genesis with Cruel Angel Thesis or Soultaker with The Soultaker.
which one is that of(Kukai Mori)...I like the one with the red flowers in the begining the one with Kagoma(sp)and the one with Sesshoumaru...I love those ends of Inuyasha....the rest I dont like ;) I love the soultaker song.....and also Silent Mobius starting theme Still I think the Nadesico starting theme is the best...."you get me Burning" I think its called ;)

I ve seen both anime and movie of Evangelion and I have to say I love it. I really dont like the main character shingi(sp). I hate is inability to make up his mind or to actually put his foot down and voice his own opinion...which the anime actually targeted. I think I dont really like him because he is actually apart of us in some way. Meaning we all have that side of us who dont like making up our own mind and sometimes wish people could decide for us.Its our shy side or lonely side that I guess I dont like to show and thats probably why I sont like him too much because he expresses our weaker side of the human emotion or thoughts. ;) The movie is totally different from the ending of the anime...so I would suggest watching the whole anime first then the movie....although the movie does show parts of the anime its not enough to graps the movies plot.

I dont know song names too well so I hope you'll know what I mean. I like the begining song of Nadesico, last song of Samurai Champloo,Beginning of Evangelion,"folk blues"..the Andy theme from cowboy funk, the song from hard luck women, the song of Balled of fallen angels when spike walks into the church,Venus waltz song...or should I say the music box song....the song from the episode were Jet sees his girlfriend its the song when hes chasing her, and ofcourse the last episodes last song..I think its called "blue"...I like all of these songs of Cowboy Bebop, the ending song of Tenchi, starting theme of Full metal alchemist(both versions),All of Robotechs songs, begining theme ofTeknoman and tekkaman blade(both versions) :animesigh

Anime what is the first anime you watch? how does it impact on you?
Slade replied to domyoji's topic in Otaku Central
First anime would have to be Robotech. And maybe sailormoon when they use to show it on the basic channels...not cartoon network. I saw only the first episode of it and I was intrigued. My uncle had seen them already so the only thing I knew was what the SDF-1 was and the transformable planes...then we found a video of some of the episodes and I loved it. Finally cartoon network brought Toonami out and I got to see the rest of the saga plus the Southern Cross and robotech master parts. Not to mention more Sailor Moon stuff :o ;) -
This is s great series. I freaked out when I saw Kazuma and Ryuhos ultimate alter it was s o awesome :wigout:
I love watching S-cry ed I enjoy it alot. i must say though I didnt quite like there new suits. *sees grave yard coming at me with a pitchfork* I think they could have given them better suits. I dont like that thing that kazuma has hanging of the back of his head and I dont like Ryuhou's suitat all I think I liked the way his second form looked....although I do liek cougars form and his last form...I think they should have done Kazuma's and Ryuhou's suit like in that form. ;)

Cried?.....*whispers*....yes I ve cried :animecry: I cried when spike died in Cowboy Bebop...why!....when WolfWood died....that was so unfair. I cried when I saw the ending of robotech macross....because it ended...then when I saw the second saga Southern cross/Robotech masters I got sad :( .....I didnt really cry on my favorite anime(teknoman/tekkaman blade) but was sad that I finally got to see the rest of the episodes after 13 or so years....thats a long time to wait :animecry: yeah so you never heard me say this :D

Anime why is there so much negativity in the naime forum
Slade replied to animekid17's topic in Otaku Central
Well I think you truely cant like anime unless your willing to critise it for yourself. ;) Everyone has there own opinion...although hearing "this anime sucks' without any hard evidence to back it up is just in my opinion immature. if you really dont like an anime then you should specify why....saying the story sucked or characters were lame...doesnt help..you should be able to say why the story sucked or why the characters where lame...give examples on how they should of been or to what "good" characters they should of been like...well thats my two cents on this subject ;) -
I wouldnt change my opinion on an anime jsut because some disagreed with my opinion or said that the anime really sucked....If I like it, I like it, but jsut because some one doesnt like it doesnt mean Im going to critise them, instead I would want to hear why they like or dislike the anime and then I would explain why I like or dislike the anime. Although we may not change or minds at least we can see why they had that opinion about that anime....well at least thats my honest opinion ;)
