1.
Originally posted by Darkness Well alot of rap is how you described it, but I know of a lot of rap that is totally different. If you take some time out to explore, you might like some of the other stuff. (Rakim, Lauren Hill, etc)
You're absolutely correct ;) I said this before in another music thread, but I think I shall state my opinion again: I like both rock and rap, they're both totally different styles, and they both rock in their own ways. For you (ie. most of you) to say that all rap is a bunch of guys saying they're pimps, is like me saying all rock is about hating the world and wanting to kill yourself. Honestly, stop the stereotypes about music. I know you don't like to be stereotyped as being a nerd if you like anime or whatever, so don't stereotype music that you know hardly anything about. I gave rock a chance, and ended up liking it! (imagine that) So, I've said a lot of this before, but I said it again :p...along with "don't let this turn into a music-bashing thread...if you do...is shall be closed" ;)
 2. :therock: You forgot oldschool GameBoy...that's what gets my vote! :excited:
 3.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn --Watership Down, yes!
I forgot about that one! People think it's strange to be reading a book about rabbits, but I even got one of my friends who doesn't like to read...to read it...and she loved it :D. I think I've started that book 3 different times, and only finished it once :blulaugh:
 4.
Originally posted by woody To be honest, I don't like your type of guy. Sorry if I hurt your feeling, but I'm just telling how I feel.
You're new and already telling people you don't know that you don't like their "type"? Careful my friend ;) I, on the other hand, love guys like you Noryko! Yousa great person  Oh, and my greatest accomplishment would be...probably all of the work I have gotten published, online and in publications. My photos and my writing...it's a great feeling :)
 5. My favorite football team would be...the Michigan State University Spartans...they're a college team, but you didn't say they have to be pro teams ;) (Oh, and that goes for basketball as well  ) I simply couldn't say I like the Detroit Lions...that would just be too painful...
 6.
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud uhm I chew on everything, especially ice
:therock: Odd you should mention that...I just got finished eating my 5 peices of ice, and I was about to go get some more before I read this...you are like me...only I don't chew on the TV remote, I chew on velcro...the hard side
 7. While this is a lovely topic, there is already one in existence. Continue your Christmas thoughts in the present one...thankee :)
 8.
Originally posted by NorykoAngelcry I not only had to concentrate to do it, but I also had to exert a lot of energy to maintain my flight.
My dreams used to be the same way! I only had them when I was younger, and the one I remember most clearly is where I had two Crayola markers, one in each hand, and I had to use those to help push me up into the air, and fly over my garage. Sometimes while dreaming, I would want to fly but my body in the dream wouldn't do it. I don't have flying dreams any more :(
 9.
Originally posted by Deus_Ex_Machina no matter what i do the post meter wont go above 60. No doubt when i submit this itll go up, but hey, its the only way. edit- DAMN I told you, it just went up to 61 has anyone had this problem before?
Please do not post topics like this. The test, suggestion, and intro forums don't count in your total post count...so don't complain until you know the facts ;) Next time you have a question, contact one of the mods/gods through PM and ask. Thank you.
 10.
Originally posted by Deus_Ex_Machina what cynicism
If you knew me in person, you would know my cynicism. I tend to be more crazy than anything...but my mood can quickly change to being angry at the cost of making fun of others...I'm often said to be funny when I'm mad, because I make cynical jokes about whatever it is I'm mad about...if that makes sense ;)
 11. I don't think that if the ambulence crashed that the assailant should be charged with murder. That's actually a bit on the ridiculous side...but like you said, if the wounds were fatal...no, I take that back, then they would be charged with murder even if the ambulence hadn't crashed. Otherwise, the assailant had absolutely nothing to do with the crash (as long as it wasn't a set up, but as a hypothetical situation, let's say they had no knowledge of the crash) and they shouldn't be held responsible. Normally I can go both ways on a situation like this...but with this specific one I feel strongly about the convict not being charged with murder unless the person dies of the wounds. That's all
 12.
Originally posted by RicoTranzrig So our children would be really sensitive, quiet...but very loud at times, kind, with a short temper. And a bunch of other personality traits from the mommy. Concerning the health of our kids...Heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, social anxiety and these strange cysts that grow in girls from the mother's side of the family. But, they'll all be really tall...intelligent and, in an aesthetic viewpoint, handsome and beautiful.
You have your kids all planned out! What if they don't turn out the way you think  Hehe...I don't have my kids planned out at all. I'm not even thinking about marriage right now, much less thinking about children...! Mesa no like kids...though I know that I will when they're mine . I dunno...I'm sure they'll aquire my traits because I'm raising them...but I want to marry a light hearted, humorous guy who can counter balance my cynicism...
 13.
Originally posted by SaiyanPrincessX I remember that,I had joined thier message boards. I miss the old Otaku alot,I rarely ever come here, because EVERY time I do,it freezes, and I really wish something would be done about it. Thier are to many things here, such as smilies, yes they look cool, but it makes it go so slow. Um I miss when I first came here,January 15th. To tell you the truth,it messing up right now! The smilies aren't all showing theirs this strange fuzz over the screen, and over most of what I'm writing right now! Adam please fix these,I would really like to post here more often. :( :)
Bah...those days are gone my friends. The new boards are great...it's just your computer that's messing them up. I do wish people would stop complaining about it...
 14.
Originally posted by Master O Beans Eh hem...what about Nelly - Number 1...I believe there just might be some non-"electronic beats" in that song :)
:wow: Yousa back! And thank you for defending rap! *hug* Please don't let this turn into a music-bashing thread...
 15.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Lol, you can too dance to todays rock... it's just a different kind of dancing!
This is tru'...perhaps I should specify before I post  I personally cannot dance well to today's rock...I can jump around to it if I have enough energy or if I've had enough sugar...but my real self comes out when I'm listening to the ghetto stuff. That's when I get down and dirty...er...yes :rotflmao:
 16.
Originally posted by kizu When he charges me I use my master sword. just charge up your magic with it and use a spin slash. That will make him start to "spaz" out on the floor. Then slash him as fast as you can.
Actually, I tried to use the spin slash a few times and it didn't work for me :) I can't believe how easily I beat Mr. Bongo after I switched to the Biggoron sword! Finally got that over with :rotflmao:
 17.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka Well, I hate rap of today. All it's about is sex. Can't they come up with something better than that to sing about? Oh wait, they DON'T sing, oh well. Well rock can be so mainstream, too....I just hate RAP. No offense to you, though.
No offense taken ;) The only thing wrong with saying all rap is about sex is: that's like me saying all rock is about wanting to kill yourself and hating the world. Generalizations suck...so do stereotypes. *shrug* Go figure.
 18. Gr8! Thanks guys, I will put these strategies to good use! :excited:
 19.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka Well, 90 percent of my school would resent that. The other 9 percent are rednecks who listen to country AND rap...then the other one percent are the people who like Rock and so forth...and the posers too probably.
Lol, interesting school :therock: But do be careful when you generalize...I like both rock AND rap...but since you can't dance to today's rock...I dance to rap...and I enjoy it. Both are good...though I tend to like rap better :)
 20.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka Yeah, I want my kids to listen to that kind of music, too because I hate to see kids who are all the little preppies who ALL listen to rap like it's a gift from God. That gets on my nerves more than anything.
:therock: I resent that. :p Actually, my entire school would resent that...heh...sorta stereotypical.
 21. The topic I made a while ago about Bongo Bongo seems to have disappeared...so I guess I need to post about it again. I really dislike this boss, I get both of his hands shot with arrows, and as soon as he charges at me, I swing my sword at his red eye thingy, but it never seems to work! Should I use the Biggoron sword instead of the master sword? Bah...it's starting to bother me because I get bored with games so easily...I don't want to spend forever on some stupid boss, I'll quit before I spend a lot of time on it -_-
 22.
Originally posted by ShadowGohan I obey there orders not to do bad things
Just wait until you get older, and...REBEL! That's what I do :naughty: My parents are so controling that I can't stand it...I rebel behind their backs and they have absolutely not idea
 23. Bah! Don't get me started on parents...! :cussing: I uh, we had a discussion tonight about how they still won't let me go on my frickin' senior year spring break with my friends because they fear what my "surroundings" will be like..."booze, sex, and other horrible things" that I cannot be exposed to. I could [bleepin'] cuss them out at the moment...but I am a good child (er...what? no I'm not...) and my parents would lock me away if I spoke out against them in a harsh or disrespectful way. Ugh! Hate the parents, yes :crying:
 24.
Originally posted by Stormbringer Yousa Gungan!
Yousa be correctsa! Hehe, actually I hate Episode I, but that language is just so addictive...consider that another weird habit of mine
 25.
Originally posted by D. Dark However, here's the most valid idea. I know someone who had read a comedy of his, and from what they told me, it is actually a tragedy as well, just in a really funny way. For example, a "Midsummer Nights Dream" has a lot of tragedy, for although funny (To English teachers, and the very well-informed), there is a lot of tragedy, like forbidden love. The characters end up in tragic circumstances, but not as obvious as in his tragedies, and usually the tragedy is very, very great...
Out of everyone, you have come the closest to the correct explanation ;) Do keep thinking...I still don't feel like typing out an explanation because at the present time my brain hurts :drunk: And, Dark is getting warm...perhaps he could finish out the reasoning behind the quote :excited:
