1. Your style is really unique. I think if you were to add a little more contrast to your work, it'll add a little more flare to it. :]
2. Since no one has claimed in quite a while, I will claim!!!!!!!!! XD Your gnomes are so adorable, Sara. EDIT-----------------
3. I think if you add more midtones to his face, the transition from the highlight and shadow will become smoother and look more realistic. :]
4.
Then how come I wasn't allowed to use it for a graphic design project?
The fact that the class is "graphic design" is the reason why they don't allow you to use it. Technically you CAN use it but most graphic design classes don't want to deal with the whole copyright thing. They prefer you use stock images that you pay for. I've taken a few graphic design classes and almost all of my professors are picky about images that you don't have permission to use. I think the wallpaper's contrast is so high that its hard to distinguish the foreground from the background. The focal point isn't there. I also don't get why there is a HUGE white section at the top.....
5. I can see why your class was working with that technique since it IS a rendering class. And because of that, I don't think that's cheating. If it was more of a sketching class, to me, that would be kind of cheating. A lot of tattoo artists use that technique to tattoo portraits on people to make sure the proportions are right. I personally don't like working like that though. I prefer to freehand self portraits. It allows you to play around with it a little more. You can exaggerate a little more on features. [shrug]
6. I'll try my best to make it SEXY ;D
