What exactly do you mean by art? Can you be a little more specific, like graphic design kind of stuff or like drawing/coloring digitally?

I think the current system is fine. It works well. It's just slowed down a little. Hopefully it'll get more active. We still have the rest of the year to finish this up. It's on a good path right now. Compared to last year's, This is working quite well. We'll see how it goes.

[size=1]I made an avi that is 154 by 154 but it's almost impossible for me to make the file size as small as 16k. The smallest I was able to make it was 45k and it looked like crap. If you still want the 154x154 version, let me know but its going to be at around 64k ish. I might be able to get it at 16k if you want the avi to be 100 by 100 though... edit---------- Oh I didn't realize there was a file size limit for the banner =.= so sorry. If you want me to fix the file size, I can do that. :][/size]

[size=1]Yeah around this time, people are busy with school stuff. I personally think before the claim system we were doing a bit better than when we started to use the claim system. People know they have no time so they don't sign up at all. Before yeah they wouldn't have time but they would still make their piece because they know that we're waiting for them to finish their piece. So they feel a little obligated to finish their piece. I would rather have them do that than them not sign up at all. It seems a little greedy but hey. I liked it. :D [maybe because I have way too much free time]. But I really do hope it starts to get active again once tsting and finals are over. But when people go on month long vacations, that might cause a problem too....[/size]

HAHAHA the apathy. I kind of liked it more when we didn't have the choice [well we KIND of had a choice]. It made me less lazy...that's for sure. :D

[SIZE="1"]Wow. I love the variety of mediums you use. Its nice to see artwork that isn't only done with pencil or just photoshop work. I love it. I really like your vector piece. For the reaper deisgn, to me, it is the weakest piece of the bunch. It's not quite up to the level as the rest of your work. It is a little flat, so maybe add some extra shadows in the coloring alongside the crosshatching. I think the oil painting is probably my favorite piece, since painting requires a completely different kind of skill than just sketching or coloring with markers. The inking piece is also very impressive. I like the clean lines. I REALLY like the still life of the tootsie pops. I love how you added color to it. It grabs my attention almost immediately. Great use of color. For the color pencil portrait of the girl from an angle, I think you should add more shading to her face so that it doesn't look as flat and 2 dimensional. I really like the perspective though, its so hard. For the two goth guys, amazing work. For the color pencil one, try to keep your colors more solid so that the whites of the paper don't show through as much. For the charcoal one, there's something strange with the lips, but I'm sure you've gotten that before, it looks VERY familiar. Snow White - The shading on the clothing is fabulous. Incorporate that kind of shading to her face and neck area. For the last two, those would make REALLY good portfolio pieces if you plan to go to an art school. As I said earlier, I like the diverse pieces.[/SIZE]

You can still make super crazy stuff on PS7 too. It's barely different from PSCS3. It's jsut the little things that are different. But I agree. You don't need a bajillion different programs to make something great.
