So I decided to turn on HG and attempt to beat Lance, since I lost [read: gave up] the first time]...and I did it. 8D Took some tag-team reviving between Typhlosion and Ho-oh, but I did it. I'm on the boat to Kanto now~ Chibi: If it makes you feel any better, most of my team has been lagging behind Typhlosion and Ho-oh for awhile now. I plan to level up my Ampharos and my Larvitar while on the way to Kanto, especially since my Larvitar is only a few levels away from evolving.[/SIZE][/FONT]

Granted, it's been years since my first playthrough, but I feel like it was a lot harder...although I've always [i]loathed[/i] the Victory Roads in the games. I think the only one I ever liked was the original in R/B/Y, and that was 'cause it had Moltres. Although you [i]do[/i] get the added advantage of the running shoes this time around [provided you didn't just use the bike in the original, but that was before they had speeds], so that might have something to do with it. [FONT="Microsoft Sans Serif"][SIZE="1"]HG/SS was made with fans of the original G/S/C in mind, given the rather lavish fanservice [no, not [I]that[/I] kind of fanservice, unless Morty suddenly going from hippie to hot counts for anything]. That said, it does not once assume that the player has played the originals [or any of the other games in the series], outside of being able to trade Pokemon or migrate them from R/S/E via Pal Park. It's very accommodating for newbies and vets alike. So yeah, you're all set if you want this one to be your gateway. Right now, I'm at Olivine...kind of BSing around so I don't stampede through Johto too quickly. That, and I hate the lighthouse. :/ Always hated going through it. I'm somewhere in the middle of case three right now [I play really slow >_>], and...it's just awesome excellence all around. Definitely worth the wait. Outside of that, nothing really. As I said, I plan to tackle the rest of my games this week, with the top priorities being [B]Super Paper Mario[/B], [B]Crisis Core[/B], and [B]New Super Mario Bros Wii[/B]. And maybe [B]Zelda: Spirit Tracks[/B], since it was bought for me, and I've barely touched it yet. Oh, I almost forgot. I'm borrowing [B]Fallout 3[/B] from a friend, after observing them play and liking what I saw. I'll throw that into the list, too.[/SIZE][/FONT]
