TARGET, HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *stampedes in their direction while waiting for something about how they're infinitely worse or whatever* On another note, I now know that playing FFVII late at night while drinking Mountain Dew Voltage does strange things to my mind while I sleep. And it's AWESOME![/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT="Microsoft Sans Serif"][SIZE="1"]Completely agreed about Lucky Star; I had the strongest, strangest urge around this time last year to marathon the series [after previously watching the first two episodes and hating it], and I wound up loving it to pieces. It's just one of those feel-good anime that makes you laugh sometimes! I needed something happy after playing the last stretch of TotA, which is notoriously depressing, and it did the trick. The OVA was pretty good too. Also, the Ghost in the Shell TV series. I dunno what it is, but it seems good to wind down with, and it makes you think. That, and the music is [I]spectacular[/I] [though, with the amazing Yoko Kanno at the helm, that's not too surprising], and adds to it, especially "Psychedelic Soul" and [I]Living Inside the Shell[/I].[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT="Microsoft Sans Serif"][SIZE="1"]I too try to maintain the appearance of a somewhat normal person. That said, I can flip flop between nerd and normal fairly easily. As for geekish glee, the other day, I was sitting in my college's cafeteria, when someone at a table across from mine suddenly shouted [B]OBJECTION![/B], and I think pointed at them, too. I smiled and giggled on the inside. Though the friend went "OVERRULED" in retort, instead of TAKE THAT, HOLD IT, or GOTCHA. I was sad at that. :([/SIZE][/FONT]

The more I think about it, the more I would [I]not[/I] want it to be remade, though. I dunno, I...kinda like it the way it is. [Well...okay, I guess maybe a better translation would be nice. I'm not saying to never ground kids, but a spank on the bum isn't going to kill them, either. [I do think it should be saved as a last resort, though, and anything above the butt is leery. I [I]especially[/I] disapprove of smacking a kid in the face.] I'm not gonna be arrogant, though, and say that physical discipline can't ever be abused -- it can, it has, and always will be, unfortunately. But so can grounding/taking things away [Grounding them from food or other essentialls for an extended period of time, for example]. I'm sure good members of society exist who have never been physically punished in their lives, but same goes for the other side. It all really depends on who is enforcing it.
