I say we boy haters start a rebellion. ...Although that's been done enough already, so maybe not. Plus I don't hate boys...they just annoy me sometimes :p But so do females. It's evened out, really.
Sounds like a story to me! SPILL. NOW.
Short version of the story: I have a friend that is extremely pessimistic and negative about pretty much everything. I show concern for her, and she doesn't take my [or our mutual friend's] concern seriously at all. It's not healthy, and she knows it, but she has the "It hasn't killed me yet" mentality. Her parents are also concerned for her, but that too doesn't seem to faze her. She also basically undermined my intelligence by insinuating all I ever read is manga and I don't read anything without pictures in it, which is downright absurd since I've been a writer for about two years now. I think I can handle text without pictures just fine. So I'm just going to not talk to her for a couple of days while I cool down. And, believe it or not, this is the least of my friend issues right now. Though that's a story for another day. On a totally unrelated note: Good grief it's as hot as blazes. I need new shorts.

The Princess and the Frog (Dec. '09)
Sangome replied to The Spectacular Professor's topic in Noosphere
omgomgomgomgomgomg I've been keeping tabs on this movie for a couple of years now, and I am so freakin' stoked to see it so close to fruition. Not that I don't enjoy Disney's outings with Pixar, but it's so nice to see something in 2D, like the good ol' days. Man. The Princess and the Frog this year, Toy Story 3 next year...it's gonna be awesome. -
...okay, Nintendo, I love you. I really, really do. You've been one of my best friends since I was a wee lass. ...But WHAT the CRAP is THIS????

According to the dates, the game takes place one month after the finale of Trials and Tribulations. So that places it right between
State vs. Iris and State vs. Enigmar, the latter obviously being the case in which Phoenix is disbarred.

Why have I not posted in here yet? Anyway, I've been spoiling myself a tad for the game now that it's out in Japan...and oh my GOSH, I can tell you right now, just from what I've been reading up on, it's going to be freaking amazing, and I am super psyched for it. What I've gathered: - The game is 14/15 hours, with five cases. The last one I've heard is arguably the longest case in the series. - The cases all connect to each other in some way. - Slight spoiler, maybe, I'm putting it under tags just in case:
Case four is another flashback case akin to 3-1 and 3-4 of Trials and Tribulations fame. Which means we get punk!Edgeworth...as well as young!Franziska. Daww.
- Returning characters include [spoil'd incase you want to be surprised]:
Franziska and Gumshoe, obviously, Meekins, Oldbag, Larry, von Karma [in the aforementioned flashback case], and Ema. I also know that Payne, Sal Manella [from 1-3], Lotta, and even Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl appear in the backgrounds as background sprites.
There's other stuff, but if I went on, there'd be wayyy too much black all over the post >_> But I am so friggin excited for this game. Ughhh.

Anything about Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Portal 2 will get me giddy. I'm curious about Ace Attorney Investigations. There's an English trailer out, and apparently the game'll be at E3 after all [after it was said it wouldn't be], although there won't be a playable demo of that until ComicCon. Atlus also has Trauma Team, the newest installment in the Trauma Center series, and the trailer is to be shown at E3. I'm rather excited for that as well. And lastly, I'd love to hear SOMETHING about the new Tales games, but that's rather unlikely. lol

Technically I have a car, but it's currently out of commission. And as for what's in it...well, actually, nothing much. The ashtray is filled with cigarettes. Not from me, though. I wish my dad wouldn't smoke when he has my car. :/

I'm partial to Geisha cause I rather like the color purple, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that ever uses that. I used Caramelldansen for awhile before the pink started to incinerate my eyes. And I love pink.

I've been playing Eternal Sonata a bit lately. I really rather like it, it's gorgeous to look at. It's also got a pretty good battle system. Tales of Vesperia is also beautiful for the eyes -- it makes you feel like you're right inside an anime. The Tales series has always been good, so I'd check it out. I also heartily suggest The Orange Box, which contains Half-Life 2 and its two current sequels, Portal, a gaiden game to Half-Life, and Team Fortress 2. I'll break the games down: Half-Life 2: You do not have to play the first Half-Life to enjoy HL2, and I even suggest it if you're not into first-person shooters [because I definitely am not, and I've become rather fond of the game]. Warning for violence -- even though it was released in 2004 and there's worse violence out now, it still makes me queasy [then again, realistic gore always does]. I've not played HL2 eps 1 or 2 since I've not beaten the original yet. Not played Team Fortress 2 since I do not have a hard drive/X-box Live, but I've heard lots of praise for it. And...Portal, which is probably the best game ever. No, seriously. It's a first-person puzzle game, which sounds strange, but it's really fun and addicting. The story isn't IN YOUR FACE, but oh goodness, it's there if you're tuned into it, and you'll spend a loooooooooot of time speculating/theorizing it. The game is, in the words of Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, sublime. The only complaint I've ever seen is that it's too short [which, it is. If you sit down and play it non stop, you could easily beat it in an afternoon]. And GLaDOS is probably the best character
/antagonist
in a video game ever, so that's a plus.

The only person I've seen come close enough to look like an anime character is Christina Ricci, since she has big eyes. Which made her absolutely perfect to be Trixie in the Speed Racer movie, haha.

Class of 08 here, and I spent my first year of college in general studies. I had flip-flopped through majors before finally deciding on general studies just before I started college. So, it's common to not know what you want to do, especially when you're fresh out of high school. Though I think I've finally made up my mind for a major -- Radio & Television, with a minor in Creative Writing. I'll need to do some research to see if I really want to do it, but it's what I'm leaning towards.

Oh gosh. This law could get abused SO easily, it's not even funny. But, the article Indi posted sums up my thoughts quite nicely. But it would also be really easy to abuse such a law, since someone could easily take something and blow it WAY out of proportion. [Oh, if I had a nickel for everytime I heard a kid go OMFG UR SO MEEN at a person that's trying to get their point across in a nice manner...] That's not to say cyberbullying is bad, it can be, as with the case with the MySpace incident. But that girl also, as said, had suicidal tendencies prior to the incident. Also I too would rather be bullied online than off. I sound more intelligent online and can rebut them in a heartbeat. =D *bricked*
