My message is gonna be rather short, but what the hey. I'm religious, and I don't really care. I don't agree with the message, obviously, but if we've advertised all the time, it's kinda only fair. Plus, if you don't like it [and this goes for either side], simply ignore it. It's not that hard. But upon closer inspection and reading the other posts, yeah, the ad itself seems kinda like a shot towards people with faith...

There's only really two series I'm interested in, and those are Hetalia and the Higurashi OVA, Higurashi Rei. The premise of Hetalia seems quirky enough, but I've seen a lot of wank for and from the fandom, so I'm a tad bit worried. And Higurashi Rei has been wanted from me for a long time, but I just hope it's not a giant moeblob fest like Kai was. I'm also rather disappointed the first ep doesn't ship out 'til February, so I hope it's worth the wait. Otherwise, outside of the shows that are carrying over from fall that I'm still watching [Toradora, Tales of the Abyss], there's not much interesting to me, either.

Username: Sangome Age: 18 Location: Illinois, the [strike]land no one cares about[/strike] [strike]land of corrupt politicians that would make Lincoln turn over in his grave[/strike] Land of Lincoln!!! How long I've been on OB: 2 years, three years at the end of February. Like, taperson, I don't have much to say about OB, either. I post rather erratically, and have been known to drop off the face of OB for months on end. Not very many people here know me anyway, aside from a few miscellaneous people, and some of the mods. [Not because I'm a miscreant, mind you. Geez]. I'm really more well known on OB's sister site, theOtaku, although I don't think that's really anything to brag about... I prefer to post in the Lounge, mainly because there's more to talk about there. Anime Central is okay in certain doses, and I rarely post in Arcade...which is odd considering how I'm a rather avid gamer. And I've posted in many formats, but mainly size 1, black font. Why? Because I can. Speaking of games, I am a huge fan of RPGs, especially JRPGs. I love the Xenosaga series and Tales series, and have been playing Vesperia. Gorgeous game. Also, my love for the Abyss entry in the series was revived this year due to the release of the anime in October. I've also been making my little TotA army because of it. We hope to conquer the world by 2013, provided the world doesn't end the year before. As for personal things...well, I started college this year, and the first semester screwed me over, I hate it. Hopefully, next semester will be better...but I do miss my high school, dearly. One last thing. I'm probably the only person that has sworn death onto Des for his putrid pranks. Whether or not this comes into fruition two years from now...we'll just have to see.
BWAHAHAHAHA
See ya in '10, folks. [Wow, that's weird to type]

Sit at home and play video games until my PS2 explodes or my 360 RRoD's on me. Or just sit on the computer. Or a combination of both. Probably that last one thar.

So... what did you get for Christmas?
Sangome replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
No, no it will not, most unfortunately. It may make it take longer, but it won't save it. Mine was about as well-ventilated as it could be, and still managed to get it. ((Thank goodness for extended warranties.))
...snap, really? ...Yeah, Thank God for the three-year warranty on the RRoD. Got one more thing yesterday: bottle of body wash and a 30 dollar gift card to Wal-Mart from my aunt and uncle. Will be using the gift card along with some money I have for ToS2 sometime this weekend. -
Make sure you get a fan- my boyfriend says something in there over heats.
The cause of the red ring of death? Yeah, caused by poor ventilation and having the system on for a certain consecutive period of time. I'll see about a fan, but I think just having it well-ventilated will work fine. And yes, Colossus, I'm very sorry to hear about that. :( I wish you the best and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. -

Miscellaneous things. You know, clothes, random stocking stuffers...an Xbox 360... >_> -
We have NOTHING and it ticks me off like you wouldn't believe. :| I want a white Christmas, but instead, like every other year, we're getting a below zero, dead grass Christmas, with special guest: winds blowing at a million miles per hour! FUN!!! The last bit of hope I have is a wintry mix that's supposed to happen tonight. But just watch, it'll all be ice and rain... Edit: WHADDYA KNOW. IT STARTED RAINING. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/odd_hitler_cake EASTON, Pa. – The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child's full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance. Heath Campbell and his wife, Deborah, are upset not only with the decision made by the Greenwich ShopRite, but with an outpouring of angry Internet postings in response to a local newspaper article over the weekend on their flare-up over frosting. I...I'm not sure what to make of this. I mean, yes, I understand the whole tolerance thing quite a bit... But... What kind of batcrap insane parent names their kid Adolf Hitler?! And in the article...they're honestly surprised that the name was met with controversy. *face/palm* Also, I must lol at the fact that Wal-Mart was the store that actually finally took their order. What the heck. I feel so sorry for that kid.

Just watched episode 10, and wow. A crapton of things have suddenly come to light. First, we have
the revelation that Takumi is a delusion...created by the actual Takumi? Which would also mean that his family is also a delusion...though the preview for the next ep has Nanami hugging Shogun, which just seems to further prove the fact that the real Takumi is indeed him.
But we already knew that. Right? :animesmil Second is that, apparently,
Yua is actually masquerading around as her sister, and she's the one that killed her to begin with?
I actually found that bit amusing, since it reminded me of
a Phoenix Wright case...
Thirdly,
Nanami is a Giaglomaniac! And her hand seems to have gone missing: the one she wears her bangle on. Though I think it's noteworthy that I've seen some shots from the game in which Nanami's hand was actually chopped off, so either it was a TV edit [which seems moot, given the naked!Rimi shown just a few minutes later] or a deviation from the actual game.
We also have
the identity of Grim, Takumi's internet friend, revealed. It's the nurse from the hospital! And given her previous actions...hm.
Lastly, we have
the detectives colleague [whose name escapes me at the moment] turn on him and shoot him, as well as muttering something about The Church of Divine Light. Another NOZOMI pawn?
It's getting down to the wire here...we only have two episodes left. Next episode seems to promise more explanations as well. Addendum: Something I noticed.
The head of NOZOMI [whose name also escapes me...] mentions that, the last time he and Rimi met, it was a year and a half prior. This also matches with Takumi's actual age, which was mentioned in the episode. Makes one wonder...

To be quite honest with you, I don't remember the last time I've had a full, good week. Good days, maybe, but something always happens to make my weeks miserable. If it doesn't, then it's just boring with nothing exciting happening at all. I'll probably have some better weeks once my winter break starts, though. Fricken tired of the stress. Edit: Oh wow I just saw your other post...my condolences. :(

Subliminal douchebaggery > blatant douchebaggery. *totally not biased* Edit: I found out yesterday that Tieria's Japanese VA is also Nozomu Itoshiki's VA. MIND = BLOWN ...Seriously. I need to pay more attention to Japanese VAs from now on...

This pic is of Nanami hugging her Di-sword but her right hand seems to have been cut off. I'm so hoping this doesn't happen in the series but with the way things are progressing I can see that it might actually happen.

I saw that too...however, I coulda swore it was Yua. Though I might be wrong.

My reaction to that article: Seriously, trampling over some innocent man just to save a few bucks? As if that wasn't bad enough, shoppers were asked to leave when they were told someone might have been seriously hurt because of their own idiocy, and they either A: continued to shop, or B: whined and cried like little children. I hate us sometimes.

Heh, I'm watching several things now, most of which are fall anime. This my first season being a real fansub downloader and keeping track with a series as it airs in Japan. Go me! Chaos;Head - Dagger's fanspazzing about the game prompted me [and a few others] to check out the anime adaptation, and I've not been let down yet. We're about halfway through, and I'm starting to develop some theories about what's going on [but I will keep them mum for now at the risk of being proven wrong and being humiliated]. Unsure on a favorite character yet, although I can safely say I despise Takumi. Ick. I hope the girls gang up on him and slaughter him. Toradora! - Wasn't sure about this series at all at first, especially after watching episode 1, I was severely let down, and was about to drop it. But I kept on with it, and now I rather like it. Taiga's interactions with her crush are awesome, Minorin is awesome as well [although she's the kind of person I'd want a break from every once in awhile]. And I currently want to punch Ami in the face. Tales of the Abyss - Uh, duh? Being a huge fan of the original game, I had to check this out. It's been a very faithful adaptation of the game so far, with only two differences to note.
The new one being that there wasn't the scene with the little boy dying in the miasma in Akzeriuth. While that wasn't all that important to the plot, it was definitely a WTF OMG WAH moment that kinda made the player realize the gravity of the situation.
One thing I do miss, though, is Kousuke Fujishima's artstyle. That's not to say the anime's style is bad, it's just I find the characters a thousand times more attractive in the original style. [But then again, I have fangirl bias...] Michiko to Hatchin - This, without a doubt, is my favorite series I have been watching this season. [Also my newest av/sig set at the time of writing]. While not directed by the infamous Shinichiro Watanabe [he is merely...music director, I think?], it's definitely got his influence, to the point of where I'm convinced he's some SUPA SEKRIT director, or that the director is just a pen name for Watanabe. >_> But that's a good thing, obviously. In any case, episode four just provided the series' first cliffhanger, making me absolutely beg for more. Outside of fall anime, well, Gurren Lagann ended last week on SciFi, so now I am greatly anticipating the Gundam 00 dub. I watched the first six or so episodes subbed, enjoyed them, but am holding off on that and watching the rest of it dubbed. And another non-fall anime is the infamous[?] Code Geass R2. And yes, I'm watching it for the plot. If there is one, from what I've gathered. And finally, at theO's weekly Anime Club, we will begin viewing Library War and Spice and Wolf this weekend, the latter of which I am very excited to see.

This year will be my first venture [hopefully] into a game company I've not touched before -- Microsoft, with their Xbox 360. They've just been releasing too many good games lately... So, here's my list for Christmas 08: Xbox 360 Tales of Vesperia [even if I don't get the other games, I'd be happy with just a 360 and this] Eternal Sonata Lost Odyssey Soul Calibur IV Mirror's Edge Tales of Symphonia 2 WALL-E on DVD ...Dang, I had some others, but I've forgotten. I might trim this down a bit too, since all of the games sans ToS2 are 360 games, and those aren't too cheap...
