2. o hai gais Haha, so I have a boatload of fail to provide you all, fresh from my forays over into 4chan. Enjoy. Classic. Clearly, that's a vampric baby. wat And people wonder why I hate yaoi. 3. My parents - As much as it pains me to admit. Though my mother can sometimes be a bit...er...unbearable at times, I really do love her. Plus, she's gotten better, now that she has a job she seems to like. And my dad...hoo boy. Ever since I was born, I've always been a daddy's girl. He spoils me to death, even at 18...it's gotten to the point where I feel bad asking him for things, seeing as how I'm in college and should really have a job. But, always have been a daddy's girl, always will be. :animesmil My friends - I wouldn't be half the person I am today without them. From my best friend that I've known since she was in diapers [literally] to friends I've met maybe...this summer, I treasure them all very dearly. I cannot emphasize it enough. God - I know I don't mention this a lot, but I am actually of faith. I love God and am very thankful for all that He has done for me, my friends, my family...I feel sad now, 'cause I don't really show it enough. But I am thankful that God has allowed me to befriend so many people, as well, given how hard it was to come out of homeschooling and into public school after so long. [Four years consecutive now, and counting!] I can't emphasize this one enough, either. A certain someone - FGSFDSDSFARGEG let's not get into that. >////>;;; [though I wouldn't call it love. Just a crush/infatuation/liking that's gone on for WAY TOO LONG NOW, ahaha...*sigh*] tl;dr - I LOVE NO ONE I HATE THE WORLD AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
4. Barbie > Bratz. That is all. ...Okay, so I don't get harassed by our mods [...WHO ARE AWESOME :D], I'll add more. It's really no contest...Barbie promotes the thought of girls being able to grow up to be whatever they want! Doctor, pop star, teacher, vet...it's endless. Bratz...they're only concerned with their looks, looking like tramps. And finding boyfriends. One thing that Barbie also has over Bratz as well are the collectible dolls that can be purchased. They're some of the most beautiful dolls I've seen, and I'd love to have one. I'd proudly display it in my room. Although the last time I saw one, I was a youngin', so I'm unsure if they even exist any more.
5. It varies with my mood [then again, numerous people are like that, heh]. Some days I feel like gussying myself up with a skirt and a somewhat babydoll shirt, other days I feel like being a lazy slouch and wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Also depends on what I have clean, etc etc. As soon as it gets warm out, though, I'm in sandals. I have tennis shoes I can just slip on, but I like the freedom of sandals. On very special occasions [read - rarely], I'll shovel my feet into my black Converse...which, due to my obscure feet size, are a pain to get on and off.
6.
The first week of college is so not awesome. lol
I concur. Anyways, wha'd we tell ya? Not so bad now, is it? And congrats on finding a guy. Now don't make the same mistake as me and hide in the shadows! Though maybe, if you're lucky like me, you'll have him move across the street from you, haha.
7.
lucky americans...and here in Aus we've only just had season 1 licensed. Read the article to discover why I say this. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-08-13/code-geass-r2-anime-sequel-to-run-on-adult-swim-in-u.s
I think you mean rights to air. Bandai has both seasons licensed, meaning both will be dubbed and out on DVD at some time, but Adult Swim has the right to air it on TV. :3
8. I just don't see why the anime gets so much flack. When it came out on Adult Swim initially, everyone praised it...then the fans got ahold of the manga and pretty much slammed the anime. If no one read the original source material, no one would know the difference [well, duh, derp derp]. I still love it, though...it's just very endearing. Plus, it made my junior year a lot more livable, at least for the first semester [second semester is where my obsession for it waned, before dissipating altogether for the longest time]. I will admit that some of the characters in the manga, I am very excited to see animated, especially R/Lanfan and Mei-chan [screw the haters, I think she's freakin' adorable]. ...AND FATHER. HOLY CRAP I JUST REALIZED FATHER WILL BE ANIMATED. DHJDHSGJFHSGFHJSGHJGSDJSFHFD
9. Haha, I just started college last week, so I totally know how you feel. I didn't go to my public high school until my sophomore year...up until that point, my last experience in a public school setting was freakin' kindergarten! In between that, I was in and out of private schools before eventually just being home schooled. Going from that to public high school? Now THAT was an adjustment. And I also know how it feels to have classes with only one friend. Right now, in college, I only have one class with a friend...and back second semester of my junior year, I had absolutely no classes with friends, not even lunch! And that's when I absolutely needed them the most, with ACTs and whatnot. But, have no fear. I'm certain you'll get used to it in no time. You'll grow accustomed to the place, make new friends. Give it a week, maybe two, and you'll become totally used to it. Trust me, high school isn't as bad as people make it out to be. As long as you stay out of the drama, you shouldn't have too many problems. Trust me on this. And in four years, you'll be a senior, and you'll carry around a huge sense of pride knowing your hard work is about to pay off, and that you are of the highest class rank in the school. =D
10.
Hahaha, North American Code Geass fans are my new heroes. Bandai's character popularity poll results Well, I can somewhat understand. I like Clovis, too. But Rivalz!? Now that's epic. ~Dagger~
Actually, you can thank the fine folks at 4chan's /a/ for that. They saw the poll up and decided to vote until Clovis and Rivalz were top, and Lelouche, like, fourth/fifth place. 'tis amusing, to say the least.
11. If we were to judge on just the information you gave us, all signs point to just letting her go. I mean, ask yourself...is it all really worth it headache and heartache? That's something you gotta ask yourself. Korey's right -- every situation is unique, and unless we knee you two personally and watched you all the time, this is all we can really go by. ...I actually had a situation similar. I myself actually did have a boyfriend...for, probably...a week? Five days? Why did it not go on? Well, for starters, he treated me NO differently than from when we were just friends. Never bothered to ask for my number, never did any of the things I thought people in relationships could do. I gave him awhile, and after a few days, the idea of being in a relationship with him was honestly eating me alive. So then, because of this, I let him go. I mean, what good is it to have a relationship in which they don't even consider you more than just a friend, you just happened to have the name of your gender attached to the name "friend"? Also, because of that, I do not even consider him my first boyfriend at all. I can't, really, when jack didn't even happen. Plus, I don't like to think about it...it was just a dumb decision. ...Ugh, this post is all over the place. Sorry if it's incoherent at all.
12. I'd be remembered as that one strange kid that stared into space alot and had the maturity of a toddler at times. My friends would probably be wailing their heads off, screaming stuff such as "WHO WILL MAKE BENDER WAFFLES NOW!?" while blowing their noses into fancy handkerchiefs. Online...more or less the same. I dare to be proved different. :P
13. You're not alone. I preferred the anime over the manga [which is apparently a cardinal sin nowadays in the FMA fandom...]. I dunno, it just held my interest more. I read the manga for a good long while until it got so incredibly boring, so I stopped around the chapter 60-67 zone. Anyways, to be back on topic for the anime...heck, actually, if this does indeed turn out to be based on the manga [all signs point to yes, unless I missed something], maybe it'll grab my attention more. ...I was almost gonna go on hoping that this will come to the U.S., but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will. [FUNi would be downight insane if they didn't license it.] Though the thing I worry about that is the fact that if they indeed brought back the original voice cast [again, not doing so would be insane, or not even attempting to, at least], Aaron Dismuke is all grown up, and sounds nothing like Alphonse now...
14. Holy necromancy, Batman! Why did I revive this thread? Well. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-08-20/new-fullmetal-alchemist-tv-anime-series-confirmed Or for those too lazy to click:
The wraparound jacket band on the 20th volume of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist manga will confirm on Friday that a new television anime series is in the works. A new anime series was a topic of much fan discussion for several months, but it was thrust into a more public spotlight last month when a management document was purportedly leaked from the BONES anime studio. The document listed Fullmetal Alchemist animator Yasuhiro Irie as "Hagane 2 kantoku" (Iron/Fullmetal 2 director).
*insert many OMGs here* The article goes on elaborating about the leak. I know rumors have been circulating for forever, but this is pretty much the real deal. [I mean, the TotA anime was leaked just a few days before being formally announced, too, so.] DISCUSS!!!1 [Addendum: ...I just looked back in this thread and read some of my old posts from a good two years ago. Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew killitwithfire. D:]
15. Like Ace, I am also watching Gurren Lagann...however, I'm behind more than others, as I'm following it on SciFi's Ani-Monday. [Though at two episodes per week, we'll catch up soon enough]. Kaminaaaa.
16.
AHAA!! I knew there was something . . . a bit like something I sensed . . . when I . . . . Oh bugger it. It feels like it makes sense. As long as you don't use it as an excuse. I knew a girl once who blew off everything with the "I have Asperger's" card. Very not cool.
I'm fairly certain I mentioned it before...ah well. And no, don't worry about that. I don't use it as an excuse for everything. People like that just irk me. :/
17. I kinda have the same problem as Alla, I have extreme trouble looking people in the eyes, just in general...but that's just 'cause I am an Aspie. :P But seriously, it's super hard for me to. Though yesterday, I DID manage to hold a good conversation with someone while looking them in the eye...I was kinda startled I was able to do so, honestly. Also, if I'm wearing a headset and listening to music, I HAVE to be up and moving around. If I don't move to the music, I go berserk. I don't even DANCE, I just...move. I was like that with music on my old home comp, too...but, strangely enough, since I've gotten a laptop, that urge to move to music has dropped entirely [though it's still the same way with a portable mp3 player].
18. Godot's post sums up my thoughts to a T. I keep thinking this is Gaia, and that versus threads are banned...but, I'd think it'd be the same here, anyway.
19. Megaman Legends/64. My God. I've played through that blasted game so many times, I practically can recite every scene from memory. Every sound effect, every detail... ...Heck, I should play through it some day and see how much I can say, and see how well it matches up with the actual dialogue.
20. About two years ago, I'd be calling myself asexual [not attracted to either gender for you unbeknownst kiddies]. Though due to some circumstances, I can say I'm heterosexual. ...Though, I will be honest with you...the conversations I have with my friends sometimes makes me question my orientation. Honestly, though, I think that's pretty commonplace for females nowadays. That, and I'm unusually clingy to my female friends. Though also a couple years ago, I was accused of being bisexual, or even lesbian. Now I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I have nothing against them. But it was because I never had a boyfriend, had no interest in boys, and the fact that all my true friends are female didn't help, either. [When I say true, I mean ones that I visit, can talk about personal stuff with, etc. I do have a couple male aquaintences, but that's about it.]
21. Super Nintendo Nintendo 64 Nintendo Gamecube [sensing a trend?] Nintendo DS [The original; Lite is for wussies] Nintendo Wii [AHAHAHAHA] Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance Game Boy Advance SP Playstation [SOMETHING NOT NINTENDO OMGZ] Playstation 2 [Who DOESN'T have one of these?] PSP [Yeah, I know. I only use it for music, though I do have a couple games for it] The ones still hooked up are my PS2 and Wii -- I'm probably gonna give my Gamecube away as a birthday present. I need to figure out how to re-hook-up my old N64...as that's probably my favorite system ever. As for which consoles I want next, I'm flip-flopping between a DS Lite and an Xbox 360. Now I might sound hypocritial with my comments about Lite being for wussies, but...the only reason I want one is because one of the clasps on the flip-top screen broke. It still plays, but it's rather pesky with having half of it wanting to fall off. And for the 360, I want it for one game and one game only...Eternal Sonata. The game looks amazing. And beautiful. Though incidentally, I want it for the Katamari game on there...Beautiful [strike]Damacy[/strike] Katamari.
22. Well, my school agenda has some pretty nifty things...mainly weird laws. Some of which are the following: "In 2002, the Greek government passed a flawed law that accidentally banned all electronic games." "In Acworth, Georgia, all citizens must own a rake." There's also junk like... "Peanuts can be used as one of the ingredients in dynamite." And "Thomas Edison, inventor of the light bulb, was afraid of the dark."
23.
But the prospect of life on Europe is slim at very best.
*snicker* Sorry, that just tickled me. Anyways, oh man oh man oh man. As someone researching the prospect and idea of Earth-like planets, this has me excited. But what will come of it? Who knows. I just know geeks like me are giddy.
24. I love Thanksgiving to death. I love family getting together and eating like there's no tomorrow. It's always miniscule in comparison to Christmas. Though sadly for me, my dad has to work on Thanksgiving, so we're going to the restaurant he works at for it. Which sucks because I don't know who else will be there... But one thing I always love is Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I've been enamored with it since I was a child. [Pikachu balloon, ftw!] Definately my highlight of the holiday. ...Though, I could do without the dancing and blatant lip syncing of the Broadway musicals that fill up the first half hour or so of the show. XP
25. Spend it with my friends. We'd all be goin' down together, foo'! [As well as everyone else on Earth] If that wasn't possible, then...heck, I ain't about to die a virgin. >_> So I'd get a five minute marriage and ten minute honeymoon. =D 'Cause honestly, doing any sort of wrongdoing would be moot, as you'd be encountering God Himself soon. And even if you don't believe in any sort of god, floating around in the vast vaccum of space would get boring after awhile, I'd reckon.
