Request The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya banner request
Sangome replied to Sangome's topic in Creative Works
XD I'm impatient enough as it is, plus, it looks fine to me, so I'll take it. ^__^ Thanks much! -
Hey kids! Dear old CB is back to ask ye olde Photoshoppers to be so kind to make her a banner. Nope, no avatar this time, I'm rather content with it, just a banner. So, what is it? The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which I have fallen in love with recently. The banner can be whatever size you chose. The colors and effects can be whatever you think goes along well with it, my only request is that it has "Melancholy" and "Convoy Butterfly" somewhere on it. Oh yes, here's the image to be used - here Thanks in advance! ^__^ ~Sangome

Yay for necrophilia! *shot* First off, I must say that the whole "Episode-00-is-really-episode-01-and-episode-01-is-really-02" shtick confused the heck outta me. I chickened out and watched episode one first, which was really episode two, so I skipped the REAL episode one, which is really episode zero! GAH! Anyway, I might be jumping the gun when I say that Melancholy, as I call it, may be the greatest anime ever made after seeing just a single episode, but HOLY COW. I heard so much about it, but it just totally surpassed my expectations. The animation is purdy-ful, the ending theme is ZOMGADDITCINGLOLZ, and it's so bizzare that it might even surpass Excel Saga AND Furi Kuri. I'll just have to wait and see, but this is definately one I'll be keeping tabs on.

O.o Where will you hide, when the zombies attack?

Easy, steal Link's Light Arrows and shoot them all down. Wait, Link doesn't exist, neither do Light Arrows? Crap. Then I'll just hire Leon from RE4. Wait, he doesn't exist, either? And my parents are nuts and won't let me play that game? ...Then I guess I'm screwed. -
NINTENDO WII FTW. ...As well as Zelda: Twilight Princess to occupy it. I'll take the GCN version if need be. =P I'd also want Super Smash Brothers: Brawl as well as PokeMon Diamond/Pearl (Yes, I'm a loser), but neither of those come out until early next year, so I'll go with Okami. Dear GOD that game looks so beautiful, and fun too. There's actually alot I want, and being an only child, it's rather feasible for me to get alot of it. =P But, I'm thankful for what I get.
Hey bud, it's hard as hell to tell a sarcastic comment from a serious one on a message board. It's all text, baby. And the only way people can know are with the hints you give 'em. Also if somebody knows you from being sarcastic in previous posts. A little "jk" at the end of a sarcastic comment does wonders, though it's not the most graceful. This is all from experience, too often have people not caught my sarcasm. :animeswea Anyways, just be careful. ^L^
A more "graceful" method outside the "j/k" bit is also the sarcasm tag, which goes something like this - zOMG!! HIZ TEH BEST EVAR YA?![/sarcasm] Y'know, for future reference. =) Just incase "j/k" doesn't work for you. I've needed both alot though, believe you me, especially on messages. Now let's veer back on topic, shall we? >o

I agree with Keyblade Wielder in the FOOD aspect. Yum. ...Okay, actually, while many people gorge themselves to death on Thanksgiving, I don't eat any more than I would for a regular dinner. I'll eat some turkey, cranberry sauce, and deviled eggs, but that's about it. ...Oh, and the pumpkin pie. God bless the pumpkin pie. But anyway, Thanksgiving to me is all about getting together with family, and all that fancy jazz, but the problem is is that the only people that come over are the members on my father's side of the family. Now, not that I don't love them, I do, but they're all really...loud. I mean, REALLY loud. It's impossible to get some quiet around here when they're all over, or I'm at one of their houses, and if they're at my house, then my terror of a little cousin will come in my room and try to destroy and/or take anything he sees. I know that's little children for ya, but oi vhey. I also have a tradition of renting a video game every Thanksgiving. Don't ask me why...it's been that way since I was, like, five, hah. This year will probably Final Fantasy XII, if I manage to get ahold of a copy at the video store. Oh, and of course, there's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. All the other parades suck -- Macy's is where it's at, kids!

Actually introductory boards are not allowed on here, so you can count on this being closed soon. But I'll step aside and stop playing mod. But it WOULD be a good idea to let us know more about you first, like 2006DigitalBoy said. Posting around in the different subforums and boards within is a great way. Go give it a try. =P -
1. What religion are you CURRENTLY following? If you don't have one, then why? I'm currently a Christian, in an Assemblies of God church, which my parents basically call a Pentecostal church. Yet, unlike most of them, they don't require women to wear skirts, have long hair in ponytails, they allow jewlery and make-up...eh, I'll just say Christian and that's that, haha. 2. Why do you follow that religion? Parents, personal reasons, etc? Parents have alot to do with it (i.e. forcing), but then again if I didn't really want to be in my faith, I would have nodded out of it a long time ago, yes? 3. Do you ever feel that people often critisize you because of these beliefs? Actually, no, not really. I have a few atheist friends who often poke fun at it (they usually just forget and don't intend to hurt my feelings, I don't preach it anyway, haha), and it hasn't stopped other people from befriending me, so...yeah. 4. This one may spark a little bit of arguing: Do you believe that your religion is the one true religion? If so provide evidence. That's the thing, I have no evidence. As others have stated, religon is about faith, not whether you have proof of it or not. I mean, it goes that way for any belief. Do I have proof that God exists? No. Do atheists (not trying to single anyone out) have proof that He DOESN'T exist? No. But what DO we all have? Faith. We have faith what we believe in is true, whether it really IS true or not. I suppose the only way we can find out is when we die, to put it morbidly, haha.
//snip// So my question to you is what do you like about the Full Metal Alchemist series?
The characters. The characters all each have their own flaws (something people fail to realize...), some are funny, some are serious. Some are hot, some are not. Some are pretty, some are ugly. Many of them have made mistakes, which can really make or break that character in terms of acceptance and popularity. What can I say? I've never seen more well-developed characters. Of course, there's other aspects I like...but that just stands out the most.

My word, there's far too many for me to list...but I'll try the best I can. - Tiny Toons: Oh my word, I loved this show to death. Actually, any Steven Spielburg cartoon I enjoy, Animaniacs, Pinky & the Brain (That was one, wasn't it?), but TT I always loved the most. The theme is also as catchy as can be. - The OLD Rugrats: I liked it before it got freakishly popular and added on nearly every character shown in the movies. All Grown Up was an interesting and fun little movie, but turning it into its own series just KILLED the series in general, IMO. - Rocket Power: This isn't really that long ago, but it was my favorite back when it was around. It inspired me to get my own skateboard (which never, NEVER went in a straight direction...), and made me wanna move to California. And Reggie was my hero. XD - Wild Thornberrys: My LORD I loved this show. Eliza was awesome in her ability to talk to animals, and it makes me try to talk to animals myself...yes I was a stupid child. >> - Kablam!: I would sit down and watch this every Friday night. Something about presenting cartoons in a comic-book format was just flippin' awesome back then. - Gundam Wing: Way back then I hadn't the slightest clue what went on, but it still rocked. It also amused me that people swore on a cartoon, I think. And finally, Sailor Moon: It's Sailor Moon. What more do I need to say? Oh yeah, PPG too...thoughI hate to admit it... >_>

Over there! Okay, seriously, in St. Louis. In's not too far from here, and I've been going there at least once a year since was...five. That, or New York City. Anywhere but Hickville here. I'm tired of the boonies and need the city life! Hehe.

My dreams consist of stuff so horrendous and so shocking that I cannot give details about them, for they shall scare the children, and basically anyone else who might come across the site. I'll just sum it all up in one word - fangirlism.

Our school's homecoming is tonight, but I'm not going. The whole affair sounds boring to me, geh. Call me crazy, but I can dance at home and have more fun. *sneezes* Though we had a homecoming parade yesterday, as well as a homecoming pep rally, and those are always fun, heh.

Living in the Midwest, we're under the constant threat of tornadoes. What's amusing is that our county comes under tornado warnings, yet, they NEVER hit our town. For example, just three weeks ago, there was a tornado warning out for our county (I was too busy watching a movie I got that day, so I wasn't paying much heed). I started to hear alarms going off, and at first, I thought it was the movie...but then I ran into the living room and saw a warning was out for us. I started screaming at my parents, wanting to know WHY we weren't leaving, and they said the tornado was north of us. So I went back to my room and nervously sat through my movie, with alarms blaring, and my favorite character dying in the movie. Oh, how fitting... Though the region itself has had its fair share of tornadoes...alot of towns around here have had some kind of damage. Yet, my town always manages to come out with just a few scratches...hmm.

I'm younger than you and have no boyfriend, and I don't plan on having one for a long time to come. I'm happy being single, so, I'll stay that way for awhile. However, I hope you two are happy together, as with anyone else. :D

It's over. *sniff* I feel sad. But at least I got four points. Not much, but hey. ...And you called Ikillion a "she" twice. XD

The last game I bought? I can safely say it's been awhile since I've actually bought a game, seeing as how I don't have the budget to buy them alot. Anyway, the last game I bought was Katamari Damacy for the PS2. I cannot begin to tell how how freakin' addicting that game is! I love the gameplay, the concept, the graphics (though VERY dated), and most of all -- the music, though not as much as We Love Katamari (the sequel). I wound up playing and beating it before Kingdom Hearts II, a game I had looked forward to for two years, because KD was too freakin' addicting. I wanna play Me and My Katamari for the PSP, but I heard that it isn't very good as its console brethren. Oh well, I can always hope for a KD3 before the PS3 gets here.

My father is the manager (or one of them, rather) of a Ryan's restaurant in one of the next towns over, But before that, he was a District Manager of Hardees - of which he worked for for 24 years. My mother works at a mailroom of sorts at a physicians services place thing, but unfortunately she got laid off a couple weeks ago. She works there until the 29th. Fortunately, she found a job at a local day-care, and she starts there at the start of October.

If you count the typical "blow out the candles and make a wish" thing as a tradition, then yes, that's my tradition. 'Cept the cake is ice cream cake, seeing as how I hate traditional birthday cake. Anyway, normally for my birthday, my parents try to take me out somewhere, if applicable. This year, I went to St. Louis. My father gave me 100 smackeroos (he DID buy me one thing, Kingdom Hearts II, for the curious), went to a mall in the suburbs, and went crazy. I bought two games (Katamari Damacy and Ys: Ark of Napishtim, again for the curious), three anime DVDs (Nuku Nuku TV, Angelic Layer, and FMA volume 4, again for the curious; the first two DVDs were only five dollars each!), went into a giant arcade and wasted money on Soul Calibur II: Arcade, and had sushi in the food court while my parents ate McDonalds, which is...rather sad, when you think about it. Oh, I also wandered meaninglessly in Borders for a good long while. ...Okay that story was rather boring. For a more humorous one -- on my seventh birthday, it came time to blow out the candles. My mother - bless her soul, she was only trying to make me a good party - bought trick candles instead of real candles, So we had to dunk the candles in water while I sat there wondering "What the heck just happened?". So yeah, that sums it up, heh. ...But MAN, that was some good sushi.

I'm good, but I too don't understand what's goin' on here... Sorry, but I'm afraid you're going to have another locked thread soon.

I window shop alot...maybe too much. Many times it's unintentional -- I'll actually HAVE money and I won't buy anything, but just wind up staring...staring... But, let's narrow it down to my favorite window-shopping places.

GameStop and EB, same reasons as Wal-Mart
Hot Topic, the place is just awesome. 'Nuff said. that and the stuff there is expensive too.
Barnes & Noble, oh my. There is nothing, NOTHING like going in there, buying a good frappuchino from the in-store Starbucks (at least...ours has one), getting a manga that you can't afford, sitting down (if there's a seat available, if not then I just sit against a shelf xP) and read. Ahh. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Best Buy, this place is awesome beyond words. Big screen TVs, DVDs, games...yeah. The place to be wmen Barnes gets too quiet. Or vice-versa.
Yeah, that's it. x3 And malls too, but more on that later.
