1. Lady Katana - According to Adam, she referred me to be a news team member at theOtaku, and lo and behold, lookit now. Though I STILL dun' know WHY she suggested ME... *cough* That, and I find her funny, and, uh, cool. 8D *killed* Dagger - Nearly anything anime related, she knows. Heck yes I'd wanna meet her! Plus, she's nice and, uh...don't make me say "cool" again. x_x Adam - Do I really need to explain this? SunfallE - She's really nice, and I admire her wallpapers at theO. XD Plus, we share alot of interests! One of these days, I'd like to combat Zelos and Kratos with her and see who wins. xD Kastom - This guy's hilarious, and freakishly random. He gets hit in the head with more random objects than I do! Plus, he's SOAP's kitty. (Don't ask...) EdwardElricThe2nd//EE2 - This kid's a total sweetheart. He makes neat-o lil' e-cards, and we both love Fullmetal Alchemist to death! n__n Charles - FUNEEEEEEEEEEH. Need I say more? (I like seeing funny posts. So sue me. >> ) I can't think of any others right now. RAH. =P EDIT: Oh, and some other firends, but they don't have OB accounts (save for one) so they dun' count.
2. Well, this is a quote that many live by, and so do I...in a sense. You've heard the quote "A friend will bail you out of jail, but a best friend will be right next to you, saying 'Man, we really &$@! up!' or summat? Well, I find that completely false. A friend would bail you out of jail, but a best friend would stop you from committing the crime to begin with! So, it's a modded quote that I live by. XD
3.
Well, you're going to have to explain to me why you want a homocidal killer who not once but twice tried to destroy an entire city of innocent people, and was actually successful in singlehandedly destroying a village - children and all. Jesus, people get all caught up about Sephiroth being so kawaii or whatever, but consistently forget that he has no compassion for human life, in any circumstance, ever and that his ultimate goals actually involve becoming a God so the human race can grovel like dogs at his feet. I mean, come on, look past the long hair.
:animesigh Which is why I said the fangirl in me was speaking, which, in turn would mean I desire something silly or unreasonable. *sighs* The last part was a joke. Besides, he's
dead
. In fact...they all are, at some point or another. Oo
4. What does he DO? Hmm, he uses like...six lances. His element is wind. As for what he looks like, I can't find a good picture of him. He has black sideburns and dreadlocks, which look suspiciously like Izumi's (from FMA). Oo
5. What do I want right now? Hmm, one of three things. One is a Wii. Tha thing is freaking amazing. I just don't wanna wait. TT__TT The second is to beat KHII. I begged and pleaded for that game for my birthday, and nearly EVERYONE I know that has it has beaten it by now. D: Including my best friend. I must catch up... The third is my inner fangirl speaking - I want either Hohenheim from FMA, Zelos from ToS, Sora from KH, or Sephiroth from FFVII to be real. xD Do I really need to explain that in furhter detail?
6. Well, let's have a go at this. P= If you use me Your language becomes a lot less colorful And a lot harder to read. I'm gonna saaaay....chatspeak?
7. Yeah, KH1 Sephiroth isn't nearly that hard. The guides I read all suggested you be at level 80...I beat him at level 49. :animesmil But, enough of KH1...back to topic. Xaldin now makes me angry. I can't beat him. Now I shall boycott him, as with Demyx. :animesigh XD
8. As others have said before me, OB and other affiliated sites differ from that of MySpace. And, I do not blame MySpace for any possible crimes thay may occur on ther, either. That can happen on ANY site that allows communication. Now my friends I have known since what I call "the days of Neopets". We've since migrated to other forum sites, and now YIM. I highly doubt any of them are pedophiles, as I've seen their pictures, been to their voice chats, heck, I've even talk to a few dear ones on the phone. They also have not tried to set up meetings with me or summat. Not to mention, for a majority of these pradators to target youth, it's their OWN fault. Nowadays, like on Dateline's To Catch a Predator , they perform those stings online to catch pedophiles. But what do the sting operators always pose as? Teens looking for sex. (They also have some BAAAAAAAD typing skills, but that's not important right now XD). Or could it be? It seems to me that people who type clearly like this don't seem to face the brunt of many pedophilic advances. (or I could be wrong). Not to mention, teens aren't nearly as stupid as the media seems to put us off. We're not all scraping around the internet, giving out our town names, street addresses, blah blah blah. Contrary to pupular belife, we DO have limitations. Heck, those afformentioned friends I mentioned? Not a one of them even knows my hometown name, nor what region of the state I live in. Anyway, there's my two cents on the matter...or fifty cents. o.o
9.
BTW did anyone beat Sephiroth yet?? I couldnt he was to hard for me :( i need to leval up more. i think he has like 11 health bars.
Sadly, no, I haven't. D: (SADLY?! WTF MATE?! I don't want him to
go boom!
) I actually haven't gotten to him yet in my game, but I tried fighting him on a friends game...didn't go over so well. Ah, she didn't beat him either, so I'm good. XD If this were KH1, however... *grins*
10. My name is Stacey, but most call me Sangome. I hail from the MidWest US, and am sixteen. I have no siblings. I have an intense love for anime/manga and video games. Currently I'm enjoying the reruns of Fullmetal Alchemist on Adult Swim and am playing Kingdom Hearts II. One quirk about me is that I always seem to love anime and game characters that many or all people seem to hate. Some of these characters include Sakura and Sasuke from Naruto, Winry and Rose from FMA, and, perhaps my ultimate favorite, Hohenheim from FMA. A friend said I look like Trisha
/Sloth
from FMA, which I find ironic. :animesmil And...that's about it for now. x3
11. I have many anime dreams, mostly of FMA, my most memorable dream being that I was the sister of Ed and Al Elric, from FMA, which became the basis of a fanfic of mine. Oddly enough, the night I saw that episode was the night that "The Other Brothers Elric" debuted. Oo After that, for the next six weeks, I had FMA related dreams, which included Ed shooting someone
(prelude to episodes 46-48, perchance?)
, Ed and Al being chased by a giant leaf (I swear, I don't know what goes on in my mind...), AND Ed rejecting Winry. I've also had two seperate dreams involving Ed and Hohenheim...which...I'd rather not get into... >///>
12. Hnnn...time for a new recommendation or two. :animesmil Chobits - You've probably heard this. Hideki Motesuwa is down on his luck. He's applied for a cram school in Japan, but the biggest thing sweeping the nation is out of his reach - and budget! Persocoms, standing for PERSOnal COMputers, are the latest and greatest thing to happen to Japan. They can be anywhere from the size of a bunny-like keychain, or as large as to look as a real human, until you take a look at their trademark ears. But one fateful night, Hideki discovers a persocom in the trash (thinking at first, it's a murdered girl!). He activates it, but all it can say is "Chii". So, this is what he names her! Hideki is then taken through a whirlwind of evetns - can you love a computer? Is Chii really a Chobit, a persocom possible of emotions? Where did she come from, and why was she dumped? With a beautiful story, as was originally done in the manga by the talatnted ladies at CLAMP, adorable characters, and catchy music, it's easy to see why Chobits is so beloved. Excel Saga - Super-secret (and super-hyper) agent Excel Excel works under Lord Il Pilazzo in the super-secret organization ACROSS to take over the world...starting with the Prefecture of F. Working with Excel are martian girl Hyatt, who has a severe tendency to die and reveive constantly, and Meiinchi (Mince in the manga), the dog who serves as Excels emergency food supply! Excel Saga is the craziness of FLCL, multiplied by a thousand. With parodies of any anime genre you can think of, constant Japanese cultural references, zany characters, and renough randomness to put even forum n00bs to shame, Excel Saga is an anime that's weird, for the weird. It's also not for the faint of heart, too...but not in the violent sense, mind you. Episode 26 should NOT be viewed by young eyes. ((i have n ot yet seen it, but I have a good grasp of what happens...))
13. Mmm mmm...ToS. The only rival I have to FFVII, in my opinion. ToS is a wonderful game - I found it refereshing to have a good RPG on the GameCube after so long. I love the characters (especially Zelos! *shot*), the music is good, as are the graphics. My only complaint is that there aren't more anime cutscenes. I heard that the PS2 version fixes this ( Oooooof course. All the good stuff gets on the PS2. :animesigh ), though it's likely that the port won't make it here, unless there's something I haven't been informed of. >< Minus the OVA, of course.
14. My most memorable gaming moment was rather recent. In KHII, when you're in Hollow Bastion
with King Mickey and company, Mickey informs you that the Ansem you fought and defeated in the first KH was actually his Heartless or summat, and was really his impostor. Needless to say, I started yelling. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! YOU MEAN I SPENT 40 FREAKING HOURS ON THAT GAME JUST TO DEFEAT A FAKE!? I'VE BEEN SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMED!"
...Or words to that affect. XD Another was a few years back, when I was at my best friend's house. She's a fangirl of FFX, I am a fangirl of FFVII. She tells me I can't play FFVII until I can watch a certain scene in FFX. ...I knew what was coming. I sat through what felt like an hour-long cutscene of
Tidus and Yuna making out in...what was it? I forget the name of the place.
I was sitting there screaming "AAAAGH! AAAGH! MY EYES! MAKE IT STOP!" and she was just sitting there, fantasizing. >_>;
15. Holy sweet freaking-- As if the PS3 itself wasn't expensive enough, now the games can and may be 100 bucks a pop?! Uh-uh. No way. Unless it's for a possible KHIII, Xenosaga III, or the next FF games, I am not getting a PS3. That's just too much for one system...! Just all the more reason for me to go back to my Nintendo fangirl roots. If I were at the age where my parents could simply BUY the games for me, it'd be no problem, but alas...
16. In many forums I go to, they either love FFVII and hate FFVIII, or love FFVIII and hate FFVII. I seem to be one of the very few that loves both games. Granted, though, it's been awhile since I've played it. I can't even remember what disc I'm on! I think I'm at the end of the second disc...not sure... But, regardless, I find it really, really easy. You can go through the whole game at level one and kill all enemies just using your summons. Not that I'm really complaining, though. This is also a game where I don't hate any characters!...Wait, I take that back. I can't stand Seifer (No offense to fans). When I saw him in KHII, I about died. In a bad way.
17. Spongebob Squarepants reminds me of my father. He's a mad fanatic of that show. It's even on the TV here right now! (But he's talking incessantly...again...) Napoleon Dynamite reminds me of my best friend, and my father, again. My friend LOVES that movie, and now, due to me not shutting up about how her not shutting up about the movie, he likes it. x__x Roy Mustang from FMA reminds me of one of my friends. She used to be head over heels infatuated with him. Now she's changed bishounen - again. Now Axel from KHII reminds me of her.
18. Put simply - no. I wouldn't want to take the risk for brining someone back. Not to mention, in the cases of some of the people who tried to bring loved ones, all they get is a fugly lump of flesh and bones making obscure noises at them. ((I love that line)) So, no. I wouldn't want to do it, since odds are it would be for naught.
19.
Did you ever feel like crying after the series ended?
Not really. I'm the same as bellpickle, I wander around like some emotionless zombie, and if anyone talks to me, I'm likely to lash out. xP Yes, I'm that sad. I got that way with FMA, even though I saw the movie.
20. *shneaks in* ...Aw crap. D: Everyone else beat me to what I was going to say... But anyway, I don't find anime pricing THAT unreasonable. As others have said, there's the deal with getting the series, dubbing it, advertising, of COURSE it's going to be expensive. Then again, I got like...two anime DVD's, new, for five bucks each. =D And no, I know they're not bootlegs. >< I got them at GameStop.
21. Many of the "emo" people I know use their label purely for exploitation. I'm not saying all emo's do so, but many I know do. They threaten to kill themsleves to get noticed, and never come through with it. One of my good friends is "emo". She always threatens to kill herself, and when we get concerned over her, she whines and tells us to lay off. But when we don't do a thing, she starts to whine and say how none of us care. I swear, I love her to death, but sometimes... :bash: So, essentially, the whole emo thing turns me off. I'm sorry to anyone who professes to be "emo", but that's how I feel. Heck, I consider labeling to be dumb to begin with. But, that's another story.
22. I've felt that way before, mainly with Elfen Lied and FMA, my two very favorite anime. However, I also look at it from a reasonable standpoint. If a series were to drabble on endlessly *coughInuyashacough*, it would grow horribly repetitive. So, while I would be saddened for awhile, I learn that all the best things come to an end, and if it were to keep going, it would get boring.
23.
I have no idea if it's true. Whenever I look around in the FMA manga communities they say stuff like "whenever Arakawa sees a yaoi story she writes more het" and stuff, and people throw it out there, so I'm not sure. It's very possible, though. The FMA manga makes me like Ed/Winry more, since the anime never really had a chance to flesh it out. RoyEd, to me, is a pairing enjoyed for fangirl purposes only. Anything I see about them usually has to be funny or light-hearted, because I don't take them seriously.
I agree. I know I'm not the first to say that I feel the relationship between Ed and Roy is more of a leader-subordinate type thing. I could even go as far as to say that Roy is more like a father-figure to Ed, since Ed's father was never around. ((WAH! I'm sorry Hohenheim. T___T)) Which makes me wonder what it would be like if the two discussed the subject of Ed... This may suffice, though. XD But anyway, the concept of Arakawa writing more het due to the fangirls doesn't surprise me, if it were true. Though part of me feels she wouldn't care...she's rolling in the money, anyway. XD I don't take it seriously either, however, I've seen alot of RoyEd fanart that's...borderline pornographic. Like Ikillion, my mind has been raped on numerous occasions, no thanks to that. D:
24.
Also, RoyEd seems to be more prominent, lol. I heard Arakawa hates RoyEd, though. XD
O RLY? *grins* I should bring that up to my RoyEd loving friend...and the RoyEd pairers on FMA.com. >_>; *cough* Then again, that stems from the fact that I am a RoyAi fan, and RoyAi fans hate RoyEd fans, RoyEd fans hate RoyAi fans...yeah. x_x;
25. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about Hohenheim's height when cosplaying. If worse comes to worse, you could always get some elevator shoes. XD All joking aside, others have beat me to what I said. Just as long as your face and outfit are that of Hoho-papa's, you'll be recognizable. :3 Plus, if you were to make yourself as tall as him, it might scare some people, since he's freaking mammoth. Not that I'm complaining. xD
