I don't know. . a lot of you actually put down quite a few games that came to mind when I was thinking about reading this thread. . oh well. I am going to use a scale from 1 - 5 to say how dissapointed I was: Star Fox Adventures - Way too easy. . I wanted a challenge!! Been discussed enough by others. --Dissapointment rating: 5 Fable - Once again, this was a way too easy game! I expected some challenges, and the only time I got it, was when I was totally surrounded by enemies, and even then, it wasn't THAT difficult to get away. If anything, when I was trying to get points in magic, it was just difficult to keep potions to keep me going. I wasn't all that impressed with the whole 'choose your path thing' and actually started to get away from being good, so that I could get a lot of money to buy houses and stuff that were for sale. The end boss of the game -- easier then anything I could have thought of. The arena was pretty fun, but I missed picking up some stuff while I was in there, and couldn't get back in to the place. It would have been nice if I could have revisited that area, but oh well. The game was way too hyped, way too short, way too easy, and WAY not worth the trade-in credit I used for it! ^_^ --Dissapointment raiting: 5 Halo 2 - I echo Zeta with his concerns. I wasn't hugely impressed with the first Halo though. If anything, it was the first multiplayer game that not only my friends, but my family got into. We would have Halo nights, where we would all just head to my brother's appt. and hang out the whole night. It was a game that would lead to shout matches, but what game doesn't? Anyways. . after playing the first game, I was left wanting more. So, I read the books! Ok, now I was hyped about the second game. . .and have been left wanting more, and finding that NONE of my questions were clearly answered. . *sighs* Plus, the single-player game was short, they didn't have any, but two, of the original maps (Tombstone, with Shotguns anyone?). . oh well. . Now, I have to wait three years for Halo 3. --Dissapointment rating: 3 (because of multiplayer, ONLY) Goldeneye 2 - Once again, someone has already mentioned this game, but I feel like it deserves special recognition again. I was horribly alarmed at the similarities this game and Goldeneye DIDN'T share! This game's controlls were so horrible, and the story, wihle I'm sure some may have liked it, really got on my nerves fast. The Goldeneye was more of a nussance to have to use, instead of being one of those gadgets that you go back to for the fun of it. Level design really didn't do anything for me, and the weapons weren't all that impressive either. This game could have really been something, but it's that anti-Midas touch that I suppose EA is inflicting on yet another game (ok, maybe they really didn't have that much to do with it). . Ughhh. . I couldn't even finish this game, and no matter how bad a game is, I usually finish it. I just couldn't with this. --Dissapointemt rating: 6 (yes, a six!) Well, those are four of my bigger dissapointing games. I mention Star Fox, only because I see the game every day at work, and just shudder with how much of a waste of money that game turned out to be.

Well, my buddy got the game and the 'nice' gamepad. I enjoyed playing it, though, I think my feet were a little big for the mat. Anyways, I know that we played it a lot when we first got it. I really enjoyed it when he let me borrow it, and my brother and I would just play it for hours. I really got into the tempo of the game, standing up and tapping along while my brother would play. I really started off quite - newbie'ish - when I first gave the game a go. I barely moved, and just tapped the keys as they instructed me to. But as I moved up to faster songs, I knew that it just wasn't possible. I would love to get the game from him again, but since my PS2 broke down on me - and since I am dead broke all the time now - I will just have to wait. It was definitely a game that got me sweating pretty hardcore though -- in a good, excercising way! ^_^

Well. . out of all the Final Fantasy games. . I think that I only really prefer Tactics and Tactics Advance. . I'm not a big fan of their mainstream RPG line. I don't remember if I have ever been, but I probably liked the original few that came out. . There isn't really any reason behind me not liking the others. Maybe, it's just that it felt too much story, and not enough good gameplay? Just my thoughts on the matter. I know I liked watching my brother play FF 7 back in the day. . couldn't keep up with the story, because every time I left, he played hours without me watching, so I never really caught most of the story.
Hey, Noryko, would you recommend Mercenaries? It looked good, but I'm a bit iffy on it. I like the "blow crap up" military genre, and I was wondering if it was good enough to spend the fifty bucks on it.
Ya Chaos, I would recommend Mercenaries. Honestly, it's a pretty fun game, and many of the vehicles have a nice feel. The map is big enough where you don't want to run, but small enough to where it doesn't feel like you've been driving for hours to get from city to city. The cities are spaced out enough, and empty enough to where you don't feel like you've been driving aroundt he same part of the city for hours. The HUD is pretty nice, and the ability to only carry two weapons makes you have to balance your selection (for example, I carry the Carbine and the RPG, so I can take out infantry and tanks when necessary). The tricky part comes in to the 'faction' element to the game. The first 'chapter' is pretty easy to deal with, but I got into the second part, and wow, it's tough not to take faction hits. I started the game over, and I'm going to try to pick up the majority of the 'secret items' in the game. Hopefully, when I get to the second part of the game, I will be a little better off for faction and such. I don't really think there are any spoilers in there, so I won't bother with the spoiler tags. If I said anything that someone didn't want to know, then I appologize!

Well, let's see. . Still playing: Halo 2 (online, it's one of the only ways to keep in contact with my friends back across state) Currently Playing: Mercenaries (it's what GTA should have been I think. . but that's my opinion. Also, may have to start over, because I've ruined some faction standings (really!), my last save point was so far ago, and I don't remember all the boxes I've found/listening devices I've destroyed/etc. . ) Started Playing: Resident Evil 4 (Going to have to play this when my senses are a little sharper. 5:00am in the morning isn't the best time to play a Survival-Horror game ^_^) Waiting to play: Legend of Zelda-The Minish Cap and Super Mario 64-DS (Don't have my GBA SP anymore, and still waiting to get a DS. . *cries*)

Ok, I feel a little better, reading this thread, informing me that it is not a re-make, but it's still going to feel like that when I watch it a little. I tend to look at remakes in a different light anyways, so it's not like it will ruin it. I did originally think that this was going to be a follow up to the original movie, but was upset when I heard it was the same storyline. Hopefully Tim Burton won't dissapoint on this one. Not saying that he is known for ruining things, quite the opposite! I suppose I will just have to wait and see. This movie was definitely on the list of movies that I have been waiting for. . the trailer, with the odd music and color choices, both frightened, and excited me.

Well, one of my personal favorite commercials would be a Toyota Tacoma commercial. A group of campers drive back to their campsite, only to find it being ravaged by a bunch of bears. The guys kind of like up, and one of the guys basically looses it, and yells, "Let's get 'em!" The group charges the bears. . It always makes me laugh thinking about it, even though it's been out about 3 or more years, and I don't see it anymore. Two Visa commercials really tickle me: 1) Payton Manning - He is sitting outside a convention center, cheering on tax attorneys or inssurance or bankers. . well, whatever! Shot of Payton at a Deli, cheering on the meat guy, "Cut that meat! Cut that meat!" Shot of Payton standing above some stairs, as some 'suited workers' leave their office, cheering them on, saying some guy is on his fantasy team. Finally, one of them slaps his hand, and he's like, "Yessss! Oh, I'm never washing this hand!" 2) Brett Favre - The one where he is walking around town with his girlfriend/wife, and he walks past a barber/hair-stylist and says something like, 'I would have used a number two blade' or something. Then it switches to him in a grocery store where some ladies bag breaks on her, he looks at the bagger and says, "I would have double-bagged that." Then you see him on the street, and some construction workers break a water line, and he looks at them and says, "I would have watched out for the water line." -- Both commercials just capture how pro atheletes are treated, but still are really amusing to see. Not saying being a fan is a bad thing, but taking things too seriously makes me laugh in it's own respect. . . ya! That's three commercials with a football theme. . Let's change it! Geico commercial! The one where they have the couple who live in the 'House that was too small!' . . that one is the best in my opinion. Why? Because I thought it was really a reality tv show. And it looked hillarious! Then I find it's for Gieco, and started rolling. =) The first few Miller Lite commercials, where the refs come out of nowhere and start calling penalties on people drinking Bud Lite made me laugh. But I thought it was even better when Bud Lite came back with their own ref commercials, where they go to a party and steal it, then the cops track them down, and they take off running. . good stuff! The newer Snickers commercials are pretty good -- Eat a Snickers, become the President -- That one is the favorite of the two I have seen so far. I think that there are too many good commercials out there, sadly, too many of them are forgotten by me because of all the horrible ones! I can only think of one more that is making me laugh right now: The Verizon 'In-Calling' plan or whatever. The dad is sitting in the house, and his kids are outside shovelling the snow. His wife comes up to him and asks why they are doing it. He says something like, "I told them if they shovelled the driveway, they could call all their friends from their cell phones for free" The wife looks at him and says something like, "They can already do that with (blah blah, Vorizon's plan)" He smiles and says, "Ya. . They don't know that." Then after the product plug, he's sitting there with his coffee, and burns his lip. He pulls the cup away and was like, "Owww! . . . Burned myself." . . (I don't know why that's so funny, perhaps it was his attitude while saying it?)
[IMG]http://img109.exs.cx/img109/6250/pspwned7xs.jpg[/IMG']
Just had a joke I read on a website that I thought would be fun to post in reply to this picture. I laughed, but then again, I've always been more of a Nintendo fan then a Sony fan. . so, whatever ^_^ "So, Paris Hilton, a rabbi and a PSP are walking to the store...and the PSP runs out of battery half way there." I would love to take the time to elaborate on some of my own thoughts, but I have no money, and don't feel like throwing my opinion into an already crowded discussion!

What box sets of TV shows do you have, and why did you buy them?
NorykoAngelcry replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
Ahhh. . television series. .Being able to watch your favorite shows, commercial free, with the ability to pause anytime you want! I love these, but sadly, since they run about $30 at the cheap end, it makes it a little more difficult for me to purchase one on my limited budget. . Well. . the only season or anything that I have: Invader Zim - Volume 1: DOOM DOOM DOOM! I need to get the next two volumes (which I found easily at Best Buy, but was busy buying OTHER people their presents instead of looking for some of my own). I will get those soon enough, since they were only like $20 or $15 a piece. Not too terrible considering it is VERY funny. I'm sorry I didn't catch many episodes while they aired on television, but now, I can watch it anytime. Others that I see myself getting once they come out/once I have the money/once I decide that I would rather have this then food: Arrested Development -- This show is highly entertaining, and the eccentric feel of the storyline just works to it's advantage in my opinion. When the show first came out, I didn't give it two minutes of my time. Then I watched an episode! ^_^ One of my favorites right now. Scrubs -- I can't get enough of this show. It's easily my favorite television shows out right now, with a great storyline, well developed characters, pretty good life lessons that are weaved in the show. . John C. McGuinley is just a trip to watch, and I am more and more impressed with Zach Braff's ability as a young actor. Others I want to get, but am patient enough to wait for: Futurama Simpsons Family Guy South Park Chappelle Show The Critic Firefly - This show left me wanting, and I am happy that they are making a movie for it! ^_^ Band of Brothers CSI - Any of the series Monk News Radio - Miss this series (and Phil Hartman) There are of course other shows that I would love to get, but I have some sort of priorities. The ones I just listed aren't really top on my list, I just would like those. I love to laugh, and as you can tell. All the shows that I have listed are comedies (with one or two exeptions). I would also love to get a bunch of anime box sets, but am very hesitant to drop the money that they are asking for. . I don't know. I suppose I could search online for them and find a more competative price, but I guess I just like the excuse NOT to have to waste any money when I could use it for more important things (like Rent or bills!. . lol) -
Gaming How to ruin a perfectly good match (Xbox Live-Halo 2)
NorykoAngelcry replied to Muad'Dib's topic in Noosphere
Well. . I let my gaming do my talking for me. Usually, I end a game (no matter if it's assault, slayer or anything else) with a high kill count, an objective or two met, and about ten more medals then anyone else ^_^. Oh, I am only really talking about Halo 2. I don't play many FPS online, Halo 2 is really the first since my computer has become an antique and I can't run Doom on it anymore (well, it's almost that bad). Ok, so when I play games, most people tend to get me on their team, because I can usually kill the crap out of their team, and can make big plays when it's necessary. I try not to talk trash, because, simply I hate it when people do it to me. If someone kills me and starts the trash-talking - no matter how good they are - it gets me upset! Then, depending on the type of match we are playing, I have to get my revenge. Often times I do. I come back and kill that said person, and usually try to shut them up, saying something like, "Dude, it's a game, chill out!" or "Grow up man, you killed me once! Get over it." . . . now, I understand this probably has the opposite effect that I am working on, but I figure if I don't start cussing at them, and saying how horrible of a gamer that they are, maybe it will shut them up for a bit? Well. . in the world of Halo 2, I consider myself in the better half of all the gamers. That being said, I understand that half of the people talking trash can rip me new ones if they wanted, and often times do. So, at the end of a game, I try to check who was trash-talking me, and to see if I killed them more or less. Sometimes, I get my revenge and kill them more, sometimes it's just not the case. I tend not to feel so bad when I kill the guy more, but when the much better player just wastes our whole team, I tend to question why he has to open his mouth at all? Some people don't share the 'Let the score do the talking' philosophy that I have ^_^ Well. . now on to a quick touch to some of my friends -- I play with a few college guys who LOVE to talk 'smack' to people. . These guys just don't pull any punches when showing someone their discontent at other's gaming skills or their gaming attitude. It's funny, because I know these people, but at the same time, it's embarassing, because I hate being on the recieving end of it, so I tend to try and discourage the giving end. Oh well. . If someone really throws out a lot of language, or is just a poor sport or something and starts cussing endlessly at me or my team, I just report them. Sure, it's going to be a slow process of dealing with said gamer, but who knows. Maybe a warning from some of the 'bosses' may just calm them down, or they may even be booted from the game all-together. I would hate it to come to that, but if you can't play a fair game, don't play the game! It's really that simple! P.S. - If anyone wants to jump on sometime, drop me a friends request -- Either Noryko or Noryko Angelcry (I know, original, ya?). . Been trying to get back on more, since this holiday break really felt good not to have to get online at all! But, with no cable anymore (only like 10 channels right now), and all my movies being worn out (been watching all of them a LOT). . I have to revert back to Halo 2 for my nightly fun! -
I am 23. . I am happy to know that I am still one of the older members here. I don't post quite as often as I used to (I was never one for just posting a sentence long reply. . I have to put some substance in my posts). I still visit regularly, and try to visit the Lounge, Movies and TV, as well as some of the Gaming pages, but I just don't really post too much right now -_- Too much work, and trying to get used to a new area (moved out to Knoxville, TN to help my brother with rent while he goes to college)
I voted in the highest so far....26-30. I am[/b'] a fan of anime, but generally, on the OB, I tend to stay away from anime topics. It's not that I don't want to talk about anime, it's just .....I don't really want to talk about it ^^ It's not a discussion the interests me. On the OB, I generaly hang around the RPG arena.
I am also a large anime fan, and find myself rarely visiting the anime forums. It's wierd, but I just don't ever go there. Perhaps if I have a question, or am curious about a certain title that I see on the main page, I may swing that way, but pretty much, I'm content watching it, and not really worrying about talking about it. . Just wanted to comment on it, no real point to this part of the thread.
Let's face facts people: gamers were just not meant for the telly. Why do you think we are a bunch of people sitting behind computer terminals and closed doors? We are just not social creatures, and the terrible acting and speech-giving skills displayed in these award shows are all the proof any (somehow) doubtful person needs.[/SIZE']
Well, I would say speak for yourself, but I can tell you are coming from a good place. I have a life outside of gaming, and I know quite a bit of people who game, and carry on normal lives. I used to play all the time, before I had a job. . now, I job, play games, and still carry on a normal life! Anyways, I know what you meant, I think~ Personally, I will never watch a gaming show produced for Spike TV. . I mean, I watched their little 'Halo 2' special, and almost threw my Nintendo Wavebird at the Television (to both cleanse the tv, and to make the pain stop), but then I realized that it would only hurt me in too many ways to even count. Anyways, I love the way that paid spokesman try to 'endorse' the video games. . I think it's about as painful as crashing your car into a tree sideways (not going there). I don't see the point. I'm happy enough just picking up a gaming magazine and seeing what they have to say about certain games. I suppose I could go on, but I won't even bother. .

Whaaaa? No Chrono from Chrono Trigger?! What is this blasphemy?! That is one of my favorite characters from any RPG I have ever played. I was also a fan of the main character (the young kid - excuse me for forgetting his name) from Suikoden III. I am not putting any answer on your poll. . sorry, you hurt my feelings by not putting Chrono! (Ya, I could have put None of the Above, but didn't really care, it didn't look like the 'right' answer to put)

I also missed out on this show during it's normal run. I kept catching small parts of it during the morning while they were running their 'whole series' run. . but, I would stick around for a bit, and then flip it to something else. Well, then I noticed that of everything on at 10:00am in the morning, there were very few good shows on. . So, I started paying attention to this highly raved show (my friends raved it), and got caught up in the series. I was really captured by this show, though some episodes seemed to just ramble on and on. Oh well, take the good with the bad. There were many episodes that I missed, but I was still really caught up with the series as a whole. The mini-series at the end was ok, but I think it could have gone a little better. Overall, for a very long 'movie' as it seemed, it was a really good one!

I must say that I am really dissapointed in the campaign mode. I was REALLY expecting more! I wanted somewhat of a feel to that of the first game. . Some of my complaints:
The game starts off at Earth, and after two levels, you leave Earth never to return >_< I wanted to protect Earth, instead, I ran down some backstreets like a Tom Clancy terrorist game, and then I'm shuttled out of the planet. What was that all about?!

Playing as the Arbiter (sp). . Umm, this was all great, but I picked this game up because I wanted to kick some alien butt with Master Chief!! I don't want to see that the Covenant, the grouping of aliens - supposedly the strongest union ever - is breaking up because the new kid in town (Brutes) is having a little scuffle with the weathered oldies (Elites) . . I mean, the whole soap opera thing with the Covenant was just a tad hard to handle -_- Also, what was up with the way the game ended?! First of all, I don't want to end it playing an Elite!! I want to finish it how I started it, with the man in green, Master Chief.

The overall feel of the game. This felt like a basic platformer. . lots of guns, lots of enemies (if not WAY too many. . ), close quarter levels (all hallways, no wide open spaces). The thing about Halo that got me was that the level design, while overused obviously, it's huge open spaces just felt really cool to play. The whole Halo thing felt new, and was curiously interesting to want to run around. Halo 2 had everything set in hallways, and seemed to have way too many things in the way, for cover to fire from / or / obsticles to get in your way. . Either way, it was just not the same game. .

I really didn't notice much of the story REALLY getting answered from the books. . I wanted to know what this artifact was! The little side book that they gave you even talked about the artifact. . . the game doesn't even touch it. I'm happy to know how Halo finally works, but I would have liked to know about the other Spartans. . read the books people!
I suppose that's enough for now, I could go on complaining, but the simple fact is this: I got caught in the overhyping of the game. . and am paying as a result of that decision. For as much as I was complaining, I love the multiplayer. I was really upset that they took out all but two of the original maps. I don't know why they couldn't just have added them!! I miss my Sidewinder and Longest Hall. . I REALLY miss Hang 'Em High. . If they would have kept Shotguns the same, then it would have owned, but . . can't have it all! ^_^ I give the game a 6 out of 10 I give the multiplayer with X-Box Live an 8 out of 10. .

Well, I know this is coming a bit late. . but I must say that if you really want some background to the game, read the trio of books that came out for this storyline. They are official novels of the game, so I can only assume that the authors worked closesly with Bungie to get a lot of the facts and stuff down. I will not leak any of the info about the stories, but there are some real surprises that are in there. I don't know all that Halo 2 is going to include, but if you find yourself with an extra $20 - $30, pick up the box set of these books. The key ones to read are 'The Fall of Reach' - which sets you up the storyline before the first game, and 'First Strike' - which sets you up on what happened between Halo and Halo 2. The other book, 'The Flood' gives you a lot of sidestory to what happened during Halo, showing you a bit more detail about the Covenant and the Flood. Again, I will not go into any details about any of these books. . but they are good. 'The Fall of Reach' and 'First Strike' are both written by Eric Nylund, who really made the books easy to read. I got through both in under three days - keeping in mind that two of these days I had to work long shifts. Ok. . on that note. . working till 10, then picking up the game at midnight. Will be getting on X-Box live with some friends and brothers, so. . I am going to have a great night!

Well. . I don't know if I am considered an old school member or not . . but I do remembre posting a lot more back in the day. I have been pretty busy lately with a lot of personal issues, but I still find time to come back here and check up on people here. I see way too many new faces for me to try and learn all of them, but that's the interesting thing about time and growth. . Anyways, I do remember a different tone on the boards back from the day also, especially over now. It seems a lot of people are worried about making enemies, or getting yelled at. . maybe that's just me? *shrug* Who knows! Perhaps that's just me skimming over some topics, instead of really reading in depths or knowing what some people mean by certain posts. Well. . I don't know, but I will continue to keep up with these boards, and put a post here or there, whenever I feel it necessary.
I have been wondering about this for a little while. Almost everyone falls in love at some point and then they get hurt. I always hear people say "I'll never love again" But they always do. If love hurts so much why do people continue to love? I mean are they just addicted to it? ( I just want some of your point of views on this,I am sorry if someone already had a thread like this one, sorry!)
Well. . just to put in my own comments on this. . I don't think that love hurts. . contrary to the popular old song. .I think it's losing that love, or the means that you do, that is what really hurts. . Love is supposed to feal great. . I don't think I have ever been in love. . had many crushes, but don't think I have ever said 'I love you' to anyone, other then someone I really cared about (close female friends, sister, mother. . relatives. . ), but no girlfriend or anything. Perhaps I am afraid to make that big of a step in a relationship. . When I do say it, I want to mean it, not just the next progressive step in a relationship to keep the other's interest, or say what I believe she wants me to say. . I want the true feeling to be there. . But then again, I am still waiting for that feeling. . who knows!
I totally agree with Hatake there. This game is one of the best games for XBOX in my opinion. I rented it and in the 3 1/2 days I had it, beat it. -Lrb
You know. . I just wanted to say that if you beat it in 3 1/2 days, then it being the best game for X-Box really doesn't say much for the rest of their games, lol. Seriously, I enjoyed the game, I thought it just really seemed 'unfinished' . . yes, I know all about the taking out of a dragon encounter, and a weapon called the Singing Sword that wasn't put into the game, but I really felt that this game could have used a lot more. . customization. Sure it was cool that your character could be good or evil, but you couldn't really customize him as much as I was hoping. No eye or hair colors? - I guess it was dependant on how your character was developed (magic, your hair would turn white'ish, physical, you would keep dark hair) . . something like that. Owning a town is pretty cool, and marraige was a cool little touch, but what did it really do for you? Got you some money if you owned houses/shops/towns, and marraige sometimes led to a gift here and there. . I would have loved to see town allignments. . like maybe they would dedicate a shrine to you if you did quests for them or something? . . I could go on for a while, but I haven't really collected all my thoughts on this. I traded in a bunch of games/few systems to get a downpayment on two copies of Halo 2, Pikmin 2, X-Box Live, and Fable and Star Wars: Battlefront . . . I think Fable was a good game, but it just needed more work. I mean, these guys took 4 years to complete, and THIS is their finished product? I had random stoppage in the game, it would freeze some times for no reason, some of the group fights were more difficult then I had with the boss fights. Am I the only one that thinks a BOSS character should be. . tough? I give it 2 out of 5. . definitely rent it, or buy it if you REALLY want it, and have a bunch of in-store credit ^_^ (oh yeah, I heard they are coming out with a download - Fable 1.5 - to put in some more of the missing content. . Whatever though, might have decided to put in X-Box Live by then)

Well, for starters, you may want to be careful about posting spoilers, such as the end of the Cowboy Bebop series. . While I'm sure it's not unlikely HERE, there is always someone that may not have seen the series, and don't want the ending ruined. As for your search for this episode, I have no idea. . KaZaA or whatever. . some download system perhaps? Or search for more info to see if there is an episode that you are talking about. I have not seen the series in a while, and I don't know any of the episode names, so perhaps I am not the best to be giving any advice. Anyways, just look around the net -- google.com or yahoo.com search engines are pretty good.

Well, personally, I like both Eminem and ICP. . I got introduced to ICP forever ago, and just loved their music, and laughed at most of their lyrics. I mean, I don't really listen to music to be moved or anything, but if I did, I would just pop in some classical music or something. I have not really listened to them in a while, excluding Great Milenko. . which I still listen to from time to time. . Anyways, I will have to look into getting this album, either from a burned copy or whatever. . Thanks for the heads up on it by the way Box Hoy~

Gaming I can't believe I'm starting this thread, but...
NorykoAngelcry replied to Queen Asuka's topic in Noosphere
I'll post some opinions on games, so this doesn't classify as spam. . Red Dead Revolver is a mediocre game, worth a rental, since it's rare to find decent Western 'shooter' games. It has a whole 'Matrix - Bullet Time/ Slow Down' effect, but it's easy to look past. The graphics aren't the best, but just something about it kept bringing me back in to it. Darn. . that's about it for me I guess, and I don't even really recommend the game, just saying it's worth a rental. I only got the X-Box for Halo and Halo 2 . . . Now, on to why it's such a 'uber awesome super killer game' . . which, I don't think it is. . The Story mode is very boring, easily gets stale in no time, they try to mix things up, but whatever, I found myself having more fun playing it with someone else then by myself. . The only reason I enjoy Co-op is because I get to have someone sit back to respawn me on the Legendary mode when I die. The part that this game really shines is Multi-player. . And no, I am not talking about 4-player! I'm talking about 16 people in one house/appartment all playing the same level. It can be insane sometimes! I didn't have to spend $$600+ on a nice computer, hook it up to a LAN over someone's house to play this huge multiplayer game, I just took my cheap (enough) X-Box to my brothers, and a ton of people got to have a blast for countless hours. . That's the only reason that Halo was worth it in my opinion. I get to play video games with people that generally don't play many video games! And we all have a blast doing it! Something getting a little old? Put it on Capture the Flag or King of the Hill or something, brand new experiences. . Change up teams. . change weapons. . It's interesting enough to keep us coming back for more, because you are always getting better. I would of course like some differences, like better score keeping, perhaps another team or two? (4 teams? That would rule!). . I am really looking forward to a lot of the changes that they have planned, and some that they haven't disclosed yet. . but we'll see. I just can't wait to hook it up with all my friends and just go insane with them. We get into shouting matches, throw insults, brag to everyone . . This is just awesome for me, that's probably the best thing about it. So that's why I think that it's the best game on X-Box. . Oh yeah, you should check out KoTOR. . I had a friend who got sucked into it big time, it was that deep. Most other worthy games on X-Box probably have a better port on the Computer or something. . lol ^_^ Don't kill me~ -
The Bourne Trilogy (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum)
NorykoAngelcry replied to Brasil's topic in Noosphere
I also really enjoyed Bourne Identity. . it was the first spy movie that didn't feel like a James Bond movie. . His amnesia never felt corny, he just couldn't remember who he was or what happened to him that night. . When he grabbed the cops nightstick, it sort of clicked in him that he knew what he was doing, and wasn't something like he automatically could fight. It had to be triggered, like the rope in the boat, he said he just picked it up and did it. . Anyways, it took me till recently to pick up the new DVD with the new opening and end to the movie. It was really refreshing to re-watch the movie, since it had been so long. I also picked up a free ticket to the movie (plus, I got the movie cheaper because Wal-Mart price matched some other store) . . so, I ended up paying like $16 for it. . and got an $8 movie ticket for free (they give you a coupon worth $10.50, but I only needed $8 of it where I live) . . Soooo, I will be looking forward to picking this movie up when it comes out. In closing, I hope they don't do what the Matrix did. . If they try to kill the story-line and add a bunch of needless action scenes, I will seriously be upset (not like anyone would care. . lol), but it would be very dissapointing for the trilogy if they did. Match the Actor or Actress with the three movies
NorykoAngelcry replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
"Spiderman" "Bubba Hotep" "Evil Dead" I had to research that one. Bruce Campbell Okay lemme see. Aha! "Star Wars Episode 1" "Gun Shy" "Gangs of New York" "
Awwwww. . your not supposed to research them. . just guess them if you know them. . lol! It takes away the fun if you go off and search for the answers ^_^ As for your clues. . It's Liam Neeson! I know he was in Star Wars and Gangs, and the only reason I know he was in Gun Shy, was because a friend of mine left it over my house one night. I never got to watch it though. . how is it? (She came and stole it back from me . . *cries*) Here's one . . made me think of it because of "Gun" Shy: Way of the Gun Anti Trust I Know What You Did Last Summer (was going to put in a movie with a bigger role, but figured it would give it away) -
no, dawg, this is the ONLY release date. All those other ones were expected release dates from stores and sh1t. The only way Halo 2 won't come out Nov. 9th is if the world ends. Anyways, I seem to lose weight when I get obsessed w/ a game. Because I don't leave my seat and my appetite widdles away to nothing. Any more Halo questions? btw, the official bungie website is bungie.net, not bungie.com.
Actually, bungie released a few 'estimated' release dates for Halo 2. . that was quite a long time ago. . finally, they kept pushing it back, they decided not to do that anymore. Microsoft and other game sites/stores kept putting out their own to try and get people into their stores or visiting their sites for news and such. . Oh well. Not a huge fan of the story mode in the first one, so hopefully the second one will help that. I hope the addition of the exploding vehicles, the dual wielding and the loss of grenades while dual wielding doesn't take much away from the original. I like playing Halo with a bunch of people, and really hope that this one doesn't go too much against what the first one was. I know Bungie has been working super-hard on the game, and I just hope that it wasn't all for nothing. I will say though, I am REALLY looking forward to the new CTF levels. That is just going to be sweet. .
