Thanks guys for commenting and critiquing--I'll use the suggestions, definitely. I'll post what I've done when I'm done. Thanks much! ~OpS {·^_^·}
OpS, You seriously overstepped your bounds editing out my comment and reposting the image. Never again should you do that -- it's blantantly disobeying a moderator, which is clearly against the rules. There's a reason I changed the image to a link, and under no circumstance should you ever again disobey me or another moderator. We don't tell you things just because we think it's fun to boss you around. We do it because it's a rule, and you must obey them. If you post another image that stretches OB's layout, I will close the thread. You have been warned. As for everyone else (Hisato, BloodRainShadow, I'm looking at you), please read the Official OtakuBoards Rules as well as the Art Studio Rules to understand what is expected as far as post quality and critiquing goes. Thanks for your cooperation. Complaints, comments, and questions should be voiced to me via PM.
Sorry, but it was a misunderstanding, 'cause when I modified my post I didn't check if anyone had posted anythin' regardin' it. I'm sorry, I guess I should have checked, but I modified my post just seconds (literally) after posting 'cause I forgot to attach the drawing. You really are watchin' every nanosecond that passes. I'm sorry--I know better, now, to check if ya posted what I may have done wrong. I truly apologize and mean no disrespect to you, the staff here, or the forum in general. ~OpS Oh, and I also pmed and private message apologizing and explaining what has happened. Sorry.

For a fast sketch, pretty good, but to decipher the clothes it's too scribbly--can't make out too many things--it's all a jumble. Nothing imparticular is focused on. I like the idea ya have goin' with the fashions--just clean up the lines.
-
I like the action on that one about to kick. Pretty good shadin' but the shoulder seems kinda big. The Iron Man is good, too--nice detailin'. Have ya ever thought of colourin' 'em?
-
Okay, here goes . . . I'm kinda stuck on this drawin' and need suggestions 'bout the sword, especially. I hate it! I'm not too good with weaponry. Help me out, please so I can finsih this drawin'. Oh, and 'bout the pic--it's a character I created "Jaki", japanese for imp! I'm workin' on different styles of her--this is just one of 'em--the others are still in my head. *lol* I'd like to do my own manga one day--workin' on it, slowly. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y299/IgnisFerus/Jaki.jpg

Are these drawin's straight from your head or are ya gettin' the idea from another pic? Nonetheless, they are all good--but as I've said to other budding artists shading is important to give depth--even if you chose to keep your drawing black and white--ya still need to shade a li'l--shading is crucial in art. Your proportions are pretty good, but ya need a li'l more practice with the hands, arms and feet, and face. You're very good at drawing clothes! With practice you'll go far! {·^_^·} ~OpS
Well, lee123, what about it makes it good? Why do you enjoy it? Compliments like yours don't really help out the artist -- they don't know what they did right or wrong. Please read the Art Studio Rules, as well as the Official OtakuBoards Rules so that you understand what amount of quality is expected per-post. I hope you enjoy your stay!
Retribution, you must get tired repeating yourself. I apologize for not readin' the forum rules when I came in the first time. So sorry--hope you can forgive me. {·t_t·} As for the picture, Jigglyness; I like how you coloured and shaded the drawing, but in my opinion, I think a tad more detail in the arms of the wings would bring it out and perhaps darker tones to make the dude bolder--bring out the definition of the creases in the clothes and depth in the body. I love the hair, and the expression is intense. Not sure what you're tryin' to say to me--a different stance might convey the expression clearer. Oh, and I agree 'bout the shoulders with Reiku--too low. Other than that, it's damn good! ;) You are far better than me in digital colourin'--I seriously suck! I'm in the midst of teachin' myself--without a manual--to use Corel Painter. It's a complicated program. ~OpS
Here is a sketch I've done. Opinions . . .
In my opinion, it needs some more detail--it all looks kinda flat to me. It's a good drawing but just lacking in detail--shading, depth--that kinda thing.
-
You've got the right idea of conveying what ya want the viewer to see but you need to practice drawing the human body and face--your porportions are off--even for anime. Get someone to pose for you and practice drawin' 'em, or draw from a magazine of real people not anime characters. You'll learn quick--you've got what it takes.
-
The arms, hand and face look too 2D--they need more defining. If you're gonna use a background as busy as a chainlink fence ya need to bring out the main character by lining him out darker. Also, if usin' a link fence ya need some faint background in it--if ya know what I mean. Chain fences are see through. Tone down the background it takes away from your character. In my opinion, I'd have the person looking away from the viewer givin' a gloomy feel to the moment--as he looks to be killin' himself. Oh, it also looks like he's kinda sittin' on the fence, too. Suggestions for the gun: Have his arm a li'l higher or the gun pointing to his mouth and him kinda lookin' away--as it is gonna hurt.
Welcome to OtakuBoards, OpS! While I'm sure xliquidousx appreciates your enjoying the picture, your post does nothing to help improve their work. You mentioned the angle, which is a good start -- try to elaborate on that, though. What about the angle? What else do you like? What don't you like? Those are the questions you should be asking yourself as you look at the portrait. Please read the Art Studio Rules, as well as the Official OtakuBoards Rules so that you understand how things work around here. I hope you enjoy your stay!
Uuh, I like the drawin'--I have nothin' negative to say. The angle makes the picture work, despite the choice of colours and such. It looks professionally done. I rather enjoy seein' slight imperfections in a drawin' because it gives the pic character--like some anime for instance--the art can be off kelter but that's okay--that's the character, else style of the artist drawin' it. That's merely my opinion. :animesigh
