Originally posted by Imsirion Oh, and does anyone know if the characters from the first SC have new moves, or are they the same?
Some characters have many new moves, some not so many Cervantes hardly has anything new :(

Voldo is part of the Soul Edge/Calibur series, he is not new at all Yoshimitsu is from the Tekken series, but has been in the previous Soul Calibur Link was added to the GC version of SC2, Heihachi from Tekken has been added to PS2, and Spawn has been added to Xbox SC2. Necrid is added to all versions

What is your favorite part of celebrating birthdays?
Sephiroth replied to Cora Jane 2's topic in General Discussion
It used to be getting presents and that when I was a kid, but nowadays I just get a few birthday cards and maybe go out with my friends at night I'll be going to the US early July, and I'll be making my way back to the UK just a while before my birthday, heh -
Ok I've had some more time playing SC2 There is no conquest mode as there was in the arcade unfortunately, but there is edge master mode which is similar, you gain experience and gold as you progress through it, characters and other secrets are unlocked this way At the moment I've practically got everything, Nightmare is currently a lvl 74 gold edge master :) Thankfully Sophitia and Seung Mina are good, though I think Sophitia may be a little too good, lol Lizardman and Rock aren't selectable :( You fight Lizardman many times in edge master mode but thats about it, you fight a Rock type character called berserker who you also fight many times The art gallery is pretty rubbish compared to SC, too bad, that was one of my favourite features on SC Necrid is way overpowered, I can see him getting banned in tournaments, he's getting banned in my future tournament anyway, lol, noone else has a problem with that fortunately

I just got this last night, after waiting god knows how long for its release, lol First of all, yes I have the Japanese copy of the game, so certain things are in Japanese Now the new characters, Heihachi from the Tekken series, and Necrid from Todd McFarlene (the Spawn guy), Heihachi is very similar to Tekken Tag, he retains all of his old moves and has some new one's to boot, he fares pretty well against most of the characters but because of his small reach, has certain problems against the big characters like Astaroth. Necrid just pretty much have borrowed moves from other characters, he is pretty cheap, but I've only been playing for a day so I doubt he is top tier level. Some characters make a return who didn't make it to the arcade version, like Sophitia and Seung Mine for example, Namco probably included them from the amount of complaints they received from SC player's demanding them back for the console release, also Lizardman makes a surprise return, he is one of the final secret characters to unlock. Other secret characters are Yoshimitsu (also from the Tekken series) and Cervantes, I havn't had a chance to use Yoshi but Cervantes has certainly been toned down since SC1. Gameplay is as sweet as it gets, the fighting system is pretty in depth and can compare to others such as Tekken, picking the game up is easy enough, getting good though will take a while, especially with certain characters like Ivy and Maxi. Wall's have been included to the game, pretty much the same style as Tekken 4, opening up new strategies for when you have an opponent close to the wall, but alas, no wallpush has been included as it had been with Tekken 4. I can't say much about the storymode as I don't understand it, lol. There is a conquest mode and a edge master mode for getting new weapons and unlocking certain stuff. Overall a very nice addition to the fighting game genre, I will probably start playing the game seriously though as I did with Tekken 4 O_O

I've been playing the japanese version of GGXX for a few months now, the game is great, I love the gameplay, but I havn't been playing it much recently since Metroid Prime just recently came out in the UK, heh By the way, Testemant owns you all, lol

To name 2.... 1. Having a family 2. Being a Tekken celebrity! :D

I forgot to mention, at last week's namco european finals, the namco tekken creator attended, and announced that Tekken 5 was to be the next in the tekken series, meaning all rumours of tekken tag 2 have become false Release date most likely to be summer 2004
-
I'm going to Holland in a month to attend Euro 5, the biggest Tekken tournament in Europe, I am a favourite for T4 Wish me luck

I say keep the name unless you want to change it to WeLoveSephiroth.com At least then I could understand :D

There's a review of the game at gamespot http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/reviews/0,10867,2910529,00.html They pretty much said its an average rpg with some nice things added to it, though they said the game is pretty short I'll probably still get it though, since I like the anime

Woah, they're showing .hack//sign in the US now on Toonami? I was expecting this to happen a lot later, lol What are the dubs like, any good?
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine Whoa, Seph. We're up to Joey vs Espa part 1 here. The Battle City arc's on Sky One every weekend. So the US is only one episode ahead, by my counting. Cartoon Network UK hasn't shown anything past Dungeon Dice Monsters Pt 3 yet.
Yeah, both Sky One and Nickelodeon ended on dungeon dice monsters part 3 as well :( Looks like a long wait until the series is continued, ah well
-
Hmm, 1st for Best oldie and 2nd for Sony award, not bad :) People here still remember me! lol

I live in the UK and seems the last episode ends at the whole dungeon dice monsters thing, episode 3 just as Yugi's strike ninja is defeated How much further than us UK'ers are you guys in the US?

Gaming The Addiction That is Phantasy Star Online...
Sephiroth replied to Subversive's topic in Noosphere
I used to spend many hours online on the DC version, but not anymore When it is released in the UK I may get into it again -
Am I the only person on OB with a tattoo or something? lol I have 2, a black tribal tattoo on my left arm, and a dragon on my right shoulder blade The dragon one hurt like hell, heh, but I don't regret getting it Basically getting a tattoo depends on your feelings towards them
