conventional weapons are no match against the EVA's, their AT fields protect them from such weapons like nuclear bombs, missiles etc. the only way is in a fist fight, and since no gundam can perform such feats then the EVA's win this easy....

well, there is 2x cut materia, when levelled high enough it becomes 4x cut, and there is added effect materia, which adds the effect of the magic materia it is paired to....
