Anime Which anime do you think has stood the test of time?
Sephiroth replied to Ben Holiday's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by ProudClod Well....Sephiroth....my oldest, most hairiest cousin.....:) Lift up your GameCube and then tell me what you see....hmmmm...a slot for the modem adaptor, what did you think its there for!? If they are not...affiliating (big word :toothy: )with the online business, then how are we going to play PSO on the Gamecube? (oh and by the way, thats a rhetorical question)
I'm not saying anything about the adaptor, I don't know why you even said that.... what I said was that nintendo are not affiliated with pso going online, it will be completely third party, with sega's own servers, and their own third party adaptor for the gamecube....
-
whats really stupid is the fact that you are stuck on the same server unless you pay extra, what if people wanted to play with family and friends, they would not be able to unless they pay extra, and if your giving money to be online in the game anyway, why should we pay extra? square is going around this the wrong way....
Originally posted by ProudClod Im going to guess that there wont be a fee for us UKers for PSO on the GC. If Gamecube wants to keep up with their rivals, they will have to be able to stay on their levels to compete, if they dont then theyll obviously be having have a hard time, since samles of the Gamecube may go down, or less than PS2 and xbox, so this is something that they really need to think about at Nintendo.
what are you talking about, nintendo are in no way affiliated with pso going online, nintendo haven't even given any hints when they will be properly going into the online industry....

got some news for stone cold fans.... Wrestler Steve Austin accused of beating wife SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - The wife of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has accused the wrestling star of beating her after a weekend argument at their home in an upscale neighbourhood of San Antonio, police have said. Debra Williams, also a professional wrestler, called police to the couple's home on Saturday night and told officers that Austin had beaten her on the head, back and legs then stormed out of the house before police arrived. Austin called the house while officers were there and was told he was in trouble, according to a police report. Austin told them he understood, but declined a request to return to the house or report to the police station, the report said. Williams has not filed a formal charge, so Austin is not considered a fugitive, according to Sgt. Gabe Trevino. Williams was not hospitalised after the alleged assault. Austin, a native Texan and former North Texas State University football player began wrestling professionally in 1992 and is one of the leading stars of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation. World Wrestling Entertainment spokesman Gary Davis said Austin recently failed to appear at two scheduled performances, one in Montreal and one in Austin, Texas, describing the no-shows as an "unacceptable violation of his contract." Davis said Austin was apparently dissatisfied with the way his character was being developed for WWE shows. Williams, a former beauty queen, is also affiliated with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Gaming Need a plan to destroy Sephiroth in FFVII
Sephiroth replied to G/S/B Master's topic in Noosphere
Originally posted by James Well, I used the Double Cut thing...and double, for four attacks. You can also use the double attack thing for summons (summons are activated twice in succession)...and that never fails. Sephiroth becomes incredibly easy to kill. Using that technique, I can kill Sephiroth within a few minutes. So all it really takes is some experimentation with items/materia.
ah, you must be talking about the double cut materia, 2x cut and later on when you increase a level, 4x cut, this is indeed very effective against sephiroth providing that sephiroth does not have wall cast on himself, if he has, then a simple dispel on him will rid him of it.... the bad thing about the double cut materia is if you equip it to cloud and have him equipped with ultima weapon, if he is on low health then he won't even make a scratch on sephiroth since the damage the weapon deals depends on hp.... and the other double summon thing you speak of is w-summon, which is able to use summons twice in succession.... however, there is a materia that allows you do use a summon 4 times in succession, but does not work with knights of the round, this materia is quad materia, the damage it deals however, is greatly reduced each turn.... I'm talking too much today, lol.... -
Originally posted by SephirothNIN the only point of the 1/35 of a soldier is in the Japanese vers., that gives Cait Sith another limit break, I forgot what it did tho, wasn't terribly useful.
no, this is not true.... square originally intended to do a little side quest thingy with the soldiers, but dropped the idea at the last second....

well, the beginning of the game is awesome, it really capture's what d-day was like.... a lot of people say it was a blatent rip off of a similar scene in saving private ryan.... anywhooo, I bough Moh: allied assault yesterday and all I can say is it's awesome, better than frontline.... I think what frontline is really lacking though is a multiplayer option, thats what made previous games so great, especially allied assault....

I think capcom should improve the orb system in such a way that you don't just use them to buy stuff, but to "upgrade" dante himself, so to speak.... imagine to use a set amount of orbs to improve dante's legs, this would make him faster and will allow him to jump higher.... upgrade his legs even more, and he will be able to do multiple wall jumps, like in super metroid.... using orbs on dante's arms would make him faster and stronger in hand to hand combat, and perhaps allow him to punch through weaker walls within the game.... what does everyone think of this idea?
Originally posted by Amphion I was wondering the same. But I am not finished with series yet. But this info is helpfull. I was wondering how the angels are numbered. Like, the first one you see is Angel 3 and the first one you hear about attack was Angel 1.more attack and but they are not in order. So how are they numbered?Confusing? I hope you know what I am talking about. Like I said, I am not finished with the series yet.
the first angel in the show that we see is Sachiel, though he is the first angel that we see, he is not the first angel, he is the third angel, and appeared 15 years after the first two angels.... all of the angels attacks are in perfect order, as was depicted in the dead sea scrolls....

yeah, basically what desbreko just said.... a lot of people ask why when aeris died, the characters didn't just use a phoenix down on her, well the simple reason is because a phoenix down revives a character knocked out in a battle, it cannot bring back the dead, same said with the life spells....
