3. Now: Do It Again Artist: The Chemical Brothers Album: We Are The Night the song does the exact same thing to me like what happened to the people in the Video it's very infectious, and very upbeat, when the song is done I'm stuck repeating "do it again" and signing all the lyrics [no that is not a typo, I'm an interpreter for the deaf now]... I'm just glad the video isnt as weird as The Salmon Dance Video.
4. Now: The Black Cat Artist: Ladytron Album: Velocifero the album doesnt come out til this summer, but this teaser track has me dancing, and the pounding drums combined with the Hungarian lyrics and gothic synths, reminds me why I turned to electro, it also kinda brings back nostalgic feelings of The Matrix for some reason. I'm hoping that the fourth album will be as high in energy, in a moody way, like Witching Hour, before it.
5. Now: She's Hearing Voices Artist: Erol Alkan Album: Silent Alarm: The Remixes I dont know why, but the super extended version [08mins24secs] of this song which is vocally sparse, just gives me this urge to break out the glowsticks and rave, I think Erol's rework of this song, did the remix album some justice, by taking a frantically paced track and turning it into a chilled out dance track. dont get me wrong, but some of the mixes were kinda spotty, Whitey's retake on Helicopter for example. the only thing I miss is russel's wickedly awesome guitar solo, but the drum solo at the end makes up for it. EDIT: WHERE THE HELL DID MY SIGNATURE GO?! >=[ Edit: Hehe, April Fools! It's still there - check your profile. You can thank Desbreko for the current display of everyones' avatars and signatures in the threads though. - Petie
6. Now: Tulips [Club Version] Artist: Minotaur Shock Album: Silent Alarm: The Remixes it's the track that plays after the freakishly long silence from Nick Zinner's cover of Compliments and I think it's better than the orignal, which I heard live when they played Vegas last summer and I think the electronic version has alot more emotion than the orignal, that said... this a good song to have a breakdown to. [srsly] Ashleigh, my girlfriend, just passed away, and this song is practically all I should have said before she went home with God.
7. Now: Afterlife Artist: Avenged Sevenfold I like the song... everything but the vocals, it sounds like the lead singer is trying too hard, reminds me of a dying cat. great instrumentation though.
8. As Felix looked at the other members of the impromptu search and rescue team, his mind clicked and he gave the owner of library the card from his pocket. She looked puzzled at the card and told him, "Felix, I'm sorry, but I didn’t send this... I'll cross check my references though." Freeman sighed, got up and followed them around as Juliet (the lady Felix knew as The Big Boss), filled Felix in on their names, and lead them out of the library, Nam looked annoyed by the fact that they had found someone with a useful power. While they walked out of the library, his cell phone rang, and the electronic version of Survivalism filled the tense silence of the group for at least a minute, this seemed to agitate the other three, as he ruefully smiled and turned away to answer the call. When he picked up he heard the voice of the Video Relay Service operator, Victor was calling. "Don’t worry Vic... I'm alright...Is dad home? Oh, he's not...and he's pulling another exercise shift, huh? Tell ya this, brother..." He looked over his shoulder, and said, with a slightly uneasy tone, "...We'll be having some guests over for the night, hope ya don’t mind... Oh they're hearing." He wrapped up his call, hung up and turned back to the group. "That was my little brother...Nothing to worry about.” Felix reassured them, the thought of the card popped into his mind again, while Juliet was leading them out of the complex, Felix uprooted a bookshelf, and chucked across the room with ease. When the bookcase came in contact with the wall with a horrendous crash, Felix asked, "Do you guys have powers like me?” Juliet growled and scolded Felix, "Yes we do, but we don’t go around, flaunting them and destroying property in the process!" Once again, he ruefully smiled and apologised, he glanced at his watch then he remembered there was going to be a parade tomorrow, with that he said, “You guys know there's a parade tomorrow, and... I know y'all would wanna go, if you want we could chill at my place, it's pretty close to the starting point of the parade..." They had agreed, left the library and pilled into their cars, the three were following close behind Felix's mustang for a good thirty minutes, when they finally pulled into the driveway, the first thing they noticed was the absence of evidence that people lived here, it was a big house, that was empty with only a few things to be seen. As the door closed, the first thing Felix whispered was, "Hi guys... I'm home and I've brought a couple of guests."
9. This is what happened when Morgan Freeman recived the In Rainbows discbox from Radiohead enjoy.
10.
After Felix Freeman posts, I'll get my group to the next day, which is the day of the parade, I believe.
about that... I've been meaning to post, all week, but I've been having more and more writer's block, also the fact of my girlfriend's passing isnt really helping either, but I promise I'll try to get something in this weekend.
11. It says I've been here for two years, but it really doesnt seem like it, because I'm more of an on-and-off-type-of-guy, so I guess a proper introduction's needed. My name's Felix Freeman, I come from London, in the UK and the only reason I ended up here was because I was referred here by Keyblade Wielder and I liked it, made some strong friendships here, then they disapated. =/ the first thing I posted was a really bad ramble about the mulitplayer aspect of Halo II... why I remember this, I seriously dont know. I used to litter the video game, music [tv, flim], casual talk forums quite a bit. Then I went on a hiatus, for reasons unknown. [And to this day I dont remember why I did.] Now I'm back, still chilling out in the same forums, but you can add the arena to my forte, I got sucked into the whole RP'ing gig after my first shot at it was a compelete and total failure. and I'm becoming more and more of a spectator, with my personal life conflicting with my relaxation time, as I prepare for university, and coming to grips with the fact that my girlfriend just recently passed on. [STRIKE] Some[/STRIKE] Most parts of my life outside of the OB usually revolve around music, I'm into dance-punk and electronica, like Bloc Party and Justice. I'm also in a band, who at the moment are doing alot of cover work. Aside from music, I also play video games, ride skateboards, and go surfing [back home in Hawai'i, if the weather permits] I also read because I'm usually bored and sometimes video games cant replace a good science fiction novel.
12. This is me, as I was waking up from my nap at Miami International, my parents snapped the photo: Click.
13. Been taking another Rock Band hiatus, and right now I'm juggling Condemned II: Bloodshot which isnt as terrifying as I thought it'd be, and Mass Effect which is kinda a landmark game for me, because I have never played a RPG before. I'm actually spending more time with the space opera than the psychologic horror because, the storyline of Effect is very intriguing. but soon enough the Rock Band addiction will kick back in, seeing that I rented both games, but turns out that Mass Effect will be a definite must buy for me.
14. Kudos to you, Raiha, for writing out executions, that are really creative and very violent. =] After reading a couple of the entries, I've wondered how I'd die... I thought about it, and since hasnt happened, I want to go out with a really bad surf trip in my homestate of hawai'i. keep up the good work.
15. Now: Ready For The Floor [The
*************
Rave Is Over Remix] Artist: Hot Chip Vs. The Outfit Album: The Download EP This track is about eight minutes long, and draws alot of comparision to the new LCD Soundsytem song, Us V. Them, it's got that I'm-spending-a-day-at-the-D1GP-feeling, but it's not as lighthearted as Us V. Them, which is more suited towards, more formal racing events. It's got that optimistic/alternative rave feeling to it, the drums and screaming synths are the driving force behind the track when it picks up at the 1min37sec mark, the parts before and after remind me of, the warmup sessions and the victory lap, respectively. The middle of the track is just like when the drivers just tear the course up, with those massive drift chains, and the cheering that ensues.
16. hey, I had today off, but I dont think I have enough strength to post, came down with this nasty head cold, so I've been confined to my bed all day. but not to worry, I have friday off though, due to medical leave, so I'll try to catch up by then. it's time to play a good ol' round of Q & A: Q1.
Wait, did Felix delete the last one?
yes because: A1:
Alright, so Felix DID post but he wasn't the person that Ikillion and I found in the Harlem Academy library. It was Malkav
Q2:
Why didn't Felix notice that Eiyaga's covered in horrific masses of scars and has massive stress and fracture lines all over her body? She looks like a mirror after you kick it. That and her missing eye is kinda obvious.
A2: oops. I must of missed the whole "throw Eiyaga out the window" gig. I hate skimming! >_< as for my post, I'm just going to have Marcus drive home, leave a bussiness card at the door of the library and come across a disgruntled Eiyaga... Since it doesnt look like Malkav has been active for awhile.
17. been playing the game for roughly a month now, with very few and short hiatuses inbetween. I finished out the guitar campaign on medium, and working on hard; as for the drum campaign I'm having a hard time with that on medium, the only songs I can play without too many flaws is Maps and Say It Ain't So. I love playing the game, but I'm kinda frustrated that I have to play local matches, with my friends because I dont have live, and even local multiplayer isnt that great because the friends I play with arent that reliable. And I'm also mad that I dont have live because the nine inch nails pack is suppost to come out next week, plus there a bunch of tunes I'd like to download too, but I'll be getting live within the next couple of months, so my bordom will finally come to an end. Current Playing Stats 1. Guitar - Hard 2. Drums - Medium 3. Vocals - Medium 4. Bass - Expert
18.
Wait, that reminds me. I keep seeing Felix starting to post, but then he never does. ¿Por qué?
Yo sido significado para fijar algo, pero yo estado sufriendo del bloque del escritor, que se ha accionado por la escuela y la vida personal. basically means: I've been suffering from writer's block, due to school and personal problems. Which brings me to my second point, since the opening page of chapter two has already been written and posted, can I still post about his interactions in the library?
19. Now: Maps Artist: The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Album: Fever To Tell / The Rock Band Soundtrack I know it's one of the easiest songs in the game to play, but I think it's the most addicting song in the game, especially when I play the bridge sections, I feel invincible, the tremolo effect at the beginning of the song reminds me of The Pioneers by Bloc Party. Which makes me wonder, are the YYYs british?
20. "I Got My Survivalism." or "This Is Not A Competition."
21. right now, I'm on a Paradise hiatus and I'm currently playing Rock Band and so far, I'm really liking it. The cool thing is they have alot of songs I've actually heard of before, and the drums is a new concept for me to get a hold of. The only thing I'm scared of is, what happens if my drumkit falls apart? Another one of my gripes with the game is the confusing controller setup [i.e. playing solo campaign, then wants to play mutiplayer campaign, but has to go back to dashboard to plug in other controllers] all negativities aside, I think it's a great game.
22.
And that still doesn't help my problem of being half dead on a street corner.
yea, I read your post, and since there's nothing going on in the library, which is kinda of a disappointment, I'll have Freeman, drive home and come across your semi dead body. But my post'll have to wait til tommorow, or something happens in that library.
23. Song #1: Neon Knights Artist: MSTRKRFT In reality this tune is almost six minutes of rolling and scratch, but if you listen to it with the right mindset and with the right people, it goes from boring to mosh worthy right after the second break down. This tune has alot of energy and potential behind it, every time I listen to the song, I seriously want to start a mosh pit with whoever I'm with or where ever I am, it also keeps my spirits on the high noted end and the energy of the song flows through my body, which keeps me awake and hyper. Song#2: Uniform [Walker Version] Artist: Bloc Party It gives me a great feeling of paranoia, while the song slowly pulls itself along, the song manages to paint a picture of what this generation's youth turning into a bunch of kids who are brainwashed by the music they listen to, and they cling onto whatever they think is cool, and the reconstruction of this song makes it seem more like an opera, like the track was orignally intended to be. Song#3: Atlantis To Interzone [We Are Rockstars Remix] Artist: The Klaxons Vs. The Outfit It's a very dark tune, as opposed to the orignal which is more on the frantically upbeat side. when I listen to this song I get that feeling to break out the glowsticks and rave with my friends when this song plays, it gets a little too slow during the breakdown, but that feeling of dreadfully monotone bs, is washed away with a short ending hopped up on coke. Song#4: D.A.N.C.E. Artist: Justice I get this feeling that I've been washed away back to a very 70s influenced chicago club. The song is so infectous, I just want to get up and dance [c'on it's in the freaking song] and look like an idiot doing it, but it's always better when the song plays when I'm with my friends, we all get together, and try to recreate the video, and we'll sign the lyrics while two of us walk down the street taking off mutiple shirts. Song#5: F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. Artist: The Fall Of Troy This song just makes me want to dance like an idiot, then mosh, then dance like an idiot again, but when the mosh part starts: I WANT TO BREAK SOMETHING AND MOSH [yes it's that good] and during the final part, continue to dance like an idiot. The song also makes me feel like I'm lost, trying to find something. Song#6: Fancy Footwork [An End To Arms Remix] Artist: Chromeo Vs. The Outfit This song makes me want to run, seriously, just makes me want to run and pull off some of that parkour stuff while I listen to it [which I'm ok at]. Also [I know it's physically impossible to do this] it makes me want to run AND dance at the same time. Song#7: Gunshots By Computer Artist: Saul Williams This song makes me feel very paranoid, and causes me to worry about the direction American politics is heading, I think that the HYPERPOWER! remix still manages to paint a good picture of what Year Zero would be like.
24. I got Burnout: Paradise for my x360 three days ago, and right now, I'm at the 70% completion mark. it's such a great game, even though I've finished a good majority of it in three nights, it's open world so it's got massive replay value. I'll come back to it just to crash up cars, which deform and crumple beautifully. the great thing is, I've got it rigged to my surround sound and my HDTV [but the game's being broadcasted in standard def, due to the confusing cable setup] so I get really immersed into the experience with the top notch graphics and sense of sound assulted by my playlist and the screeching of tires and metal. the next two games I'm planning to buy are Call Of Duty IV: Modern Warfare and Mass Effect
25. Now: Neon Knights Artist: MSTRKRFT In reality this tune is almost six minutes of rolling and scratch, but if you listen to it with the right mindset and with the right people, it goes from boring to mosh worthy right after the second break down.
