I saw it last night, and I thought it was pretty good. I didnt have a problem with the whole camcorder gig, but there were some parts that made me sick to my stomach, like when
Marlena exploded after she got bitten.
and I dont understand why that happened... kinda made me mad that there's no explaination as to why any of this happened, with the exception of the prequel manga [which proally wont be translated for a couple of months] what I dont understand is, why some people are freaking out about a post 9/11 sci fi film. even though it was sparse, the humour was pretty good. I really liked the film [some of the girls were pretty hot.], but my dad critized some of the planes that they used to kill the monster: " Son, in real life, I don't think we'd use the F-18s, we'd go with the A-10s.", but
after withstanding the motar shells, bombs, AND the nuke. that thing is pretty tough.
also did anyone catch
the last segment that cut back to 22May and something fell out of the sky?
I didnt, but I did catch
the ending audio log
.

Now: D.A.N.C.E. Artist: Justice Album: ? For some reason, the structure of the song makes it feel more like something from a disco, and not from a pair of dance punk djs. It also invokes a sense of nostalgia, back to a time when music was actually GOOD before the repetitive rap songs and emo pop music classified as "rock" music, only downside to the tune is it's got alot of MJ references.

when I happen to have those crazy hunger pains at unscheduled moments, my system craves for hot cheetos to be washed down with java monster coffee energy drinks or mt. dew. but when it's late night, I usually raid my freezer for the Häagen-Dazs ice cream, especially the Cinnamon Dulce de Leche, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Mocha Chip flavours.

As the two drove home, many thoughts entered Felix's head, most of them concerning what would happen if his parents, and his friends found out about his "power", as Victor put it. What worried him more was how he'd be treated at school; he'd most likely be placed into an alternative education program... Even the sound of it made him cringe, especially since it's his senior year, plus he couldn't leave his deaf brother, out there susceptible to harassment and attack. He pulled into the driveway of their house, nothing too out of the ordinary, six rooms, office space, balcony, spacious, the typical upscale suburban home. No one would care to give it a second glance; it was painted in the same tannish vein as everyone else's home. A step into the house would flip most people out though, the walls have no paintings or obscurities hanging from them. The television, was small, but had no sort of cabinets to hold it up, the rest of the living area was two couches and a bar, lot of empty space, the motif of stark and empty, followed the rest of the home. To the average outsider, it would have been called minimalism, or "they just moved in...", but for Felix he had found peace, from the sheer ocean of noise from the rest of the world. The only words spoken here were either signed or written down, and the television was always muted, the only kind of noise made from the home was from his music database on his hard drive, and that within itself was rare. As Felix and Victor settled down, their sister, Tigan, came up to them with two notes, she can speak liker her older brother, but likes the sheer silence kept in their home. The first one read: someone left this for me to show to you when you came home, he flipped the page over, and he read to himself what was left presumably on the door this morning: Hello, Felix Freeman. We know of your problem... We know you are troubled. We can help you. After the small introduction there was an address typed in abnormally small print, from there he walked upstairs into the office, and his two siblings followed him. He fished for the magnifying glass their father kept, but he couldn’t find it till Victor held it up for him. He pried a sticky note off the pad, pulled out the pen from his pocket and wrote down the address. A good five minutes passed after he wrote down the address, the chirping of his watch notified him that he was late for some sort of school function, and for the first time in a very long time, he rushed out of the house and spoke. "Tigan, I'll be late for dinner, if poppa asks where I'm at... Um, tell him I'm with Steph... ok?” he spoke rapidly as he charged out of the house into his car. She nodded and closed the door behind her, the noise faded as quickly as it came. The car started up, and he threw the car into gear and drove to the location scribbled onto the note which stuck to the dash. While cruising on the freeway, his '67 Ford Mustang was T-boned by drunk driver behind the wheel of an SUV, which caused the Mustang to flip five times, he blacked out on impact. When he roused he found himself, with no signs of abuse, inside of a darkened library. He got up and took stock of his physical state, to make sure he wasn’t tripping out on the morphine the medics gave him. After walking around the lobby a couple of times and wondering why he had ended up here instead of the local hospital, he asked aloud... "Hello? Is anyone home?"

I'm going through a very Daft Punk-y time, right now, and the best picture I can dig up is: This which is also my current myspace picture. I'm just not photogenic. I'll post a better picture. Eventually. -
Now: Meet Your Master Artist: The Faint Album: Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D It was a little hard to ingest the first couple of listens, the first thing I said to myself was: "This is NOTHING like Glass Danse, I Disappear or Agenda Suicide", and I got this sick to my stomach feeling, wondering what happened to one of my favourite dance-punk bands, it felt like Reznor did this himself and threw their name on the bill. [They were also one of the three acts I recogised from the tracklisting] A few revolutions later, I find myself moshing to it, and it's beginning to feel less like a remix and more of an original song, featuring Reznor on vocals. by the way; is that how they spell year zero in Year Zero?

hey guys, I want to let y'all know that I'm suffering from writer's block and my midterms are coming up, so I've been trying my best to keep up, but finding a balance between, reading the posts, coming up with a good post, and studying is becoming quite cumbersome. I'll try my best to get him into the academy this weekend, but if not my post'll have to wait til the week after next week. my apologies in advance, - Leon.

Now: Merge On The Freeway [Dissapear Here] Artist: Bloc Party Album: A Weekend In The City it's kinda weird how this song paints a picture of Los Angeles, albeit it's a very strange picture painted with the colours of excessive drug use, partying, and sex. All of which is things you'd find in a perfect version of LA, obviously everyone knows [or should] know that the city is nothing like that, but here's the weird part: everyone is beginning to model themselves after that distorted picture of LA, and not only do the lyrics convey that well, the instruments also help bring this picture to life with the vast use of distortion effects, and the repetion of the verse and chorus riff to symbolise people slowly adapting themselves into the picture.

I've heard bits and pieces of Y34RZ3R0R3M1XED and it's becoming very very addicting. [but no, it doesn't mean my fandom for Bloc Party hasn't died out] I was wondering if I could get a Year Zero avitar and a Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D banner no specs on the avi, for the banner I just want the part I outlined used for my banner. I finished The Orange Box a little about a week ago, the single player portions anyway, and I must say: Portal is the funniest game I have ever played, plus the concept of jumping through holes and ending up in different places and [sometimes comprimising] positions is totally awesome. but it sucks that the song Still Alive is playing in the back of my head, while DragonForce's Through The Fire And Flames takes place of the cheesy chiptune music [damnit Guitar Hero!] As for the Half Life II aspect, I thought it was wonderful, and even though I havent played Half Life II in two years, I still remember bits and pieces of the story, which I think is one of the best video games stories, I've seen. Sure Episode I was relatively slow, but I could stomach it to get the rest of the story, but the end to Episode II was a " Holy
****
!" moment.
To be honest with y'all, I almost cried while the advisors killed Eli.
and now I'm stuck in a rut, cos I dont know if I should get a wireless router for my 360 [to play Team Fortress II and all those other mutiplayer games] or buy either Mass Effect or Need For Speed: ProStreet

Now: This Is Not A Competition Artist: Bloc Party This is some of their hella old stuff, as in pre-Silent Alarm stuff, and in my opinion I think it's better than the the stuff from A Weekend In The City. This track has alot of energy in it and, I'm just hoping that their third album won't be as slow and boring as Weekend. on the other hand, their lastest single Flux is doing some justice by showing that they still have that dance punk sound, while trying a different route. [that microKorg is awesome.]

Felix sat in the back of the classroom, with his mp3 player playing at full volume, he watched mindlessly as Ms. Robertson, the teacher he was the student aide for, lectured about the third crusade. "So kids, all you need to know is that during the third crusade, the Muslims won against the---", she was cut off from the excess noise coming from Felix's mp3 player, this agitated her. He continued to watch as if he was in a trance, then his attention averted to the teacher, she was saying something, but he couldn?t understand. "MARCUS, TURN THAT CRAP DOWN OR I WILL SEND YOU TO THE DEAN'S OFFICE.", she yelled, while The Fall Of Troy was playing in his ears, he snapped out of his trance, while all the kids laughed at him. "Y'all are just laughing cos you're just jealous that you can't listen to your stuff during notes.? the students had quieted down. Felix was wearing his normal stuff, a Quiksilver t-shirt, Adidas track pants, and DC shoes, he was well built for his age, and weight, and his hair still wasn?t black it was that abnormal golden blonde, basically, he looks like Ichigo from Bleach, but without the giant sword and kimono, but with a psp and athletic clothing. "Now where was I? Ah, yes, all you need to know is that Saladin won against the Christians during the Third Crusade.? the professor said during the lecture, upon hearing this, Felix had interjected. "Wait a second, isn?t it supposed to be the other way around?", he commented, from there he walked over to one of the computer workstations and logged in. "Something's not right here..." he muttered under his breath as he furiously typed away at the keypad, trying his best to prove the teacher wrong, but the more and more he looked, he came up with the same result over and over again. The Muslims did manage to shut out the Christians from Jerusalem. Frustrated, Felix shut down the computer, and packed his things while the bell had rung, he left the classroom to go out to his car where he would naturally see his little brother, Victor waiting, there was something also amiss here, his brother was not waiting at his car, he was being beaten up again, by some of the players of the school's football team. Felix ran to go get his brother out of the fight, he found out that his DCs weren?t made for running, but he pushed on anyway. He finally caught up to the crowd, he tapped one of the players on the shoulder, and he was ignored, so Felix punched him in the back of the head. Instead of getting a cry of agitation, and a pissed off linebacker's attention, the skull of his victim smashed into pieces on impact with his fist, and the linebacker fell to the ground, dead. This did manage to get the other players' attention, some tried to get some hits on Felix, but he did not flinch, when he hit back, the other players heard bones breaking and screams of pain, this cycle continued until there was only one of them left. "Would you like to join your friends?? Felix asked, the quarterback shook his head and ran off, from there Felix passed out. About five minutes passed, and he roused to see his younger brother, with a couple of bruises and cuts on his arms. Felix got up slowly and took stock of his physical being, he felt that everything was fine, he signed to his brother if he was alright, but he was stopped in midsentence. "How did this happen?? he thought while surveying the broken bodies of the football players, "Shit. It happened, again...? he said loudly, and then he surveyed his surroundings once more, and gasped. He had begun to panic, he ran to his car, dragging his brother along, and drove away from the school as fast as he could.

Apperence: Click Here. _________ 18Dec Today was another boring day at school, hung out with my little brother, Victor, and his friends, basically, same crap different day. Wait. There WAS something different about today... it happened... again. So, Victor and I get off the bus, then out of nowhere these "gangsters" start beating on Vic, I remember them saying: "You asshole, you don't speak with your hands!" "You dickhead, you can't speak AT ALL. So what gives you the right to "sign" shit about us?!" I couldn't do much, they shoved me into a wall then, I passed out on contact. Now, guys, this is the fucked up part. When I came to my senses, I noticed that Victor was hugging me tightly and incoherently saying "thank you, so much, Marcus." over, and over again... I would have said there was no problem, but as I looked around, I noticed all this gore and blood, and dead bodies lying around... I swear they were those gang members beating on Victor like four minutes ago. This is the second time in one month this has happened. I don’t know what's happening to me. Is it puberty? No... That shit would have ended by now. Am I on drugs? No... I would remember that. All I do remember is passing out, and then waking up finding out that whoever was causing trouble for me [or any of my friends] ended up as a street pizza... Seriously, I think there's something wrong with me... Or I could be hallucinating; I could be on drugs... Not only has this shit happened off campus, it's happened multiple times AT school... like for instance I remember yelling at someone for talking shit about someone else, then I remember the first few hits to the face... that's where I passed out, next thing I know, I wind up in the nurse's office, waking up confused, and there is no evidence of bruising on my skin... I'm surprised they haven’t written me up, and called my father yet. When I asked the nurse if I was going to get written up, she had this look of stupidity on her face and replied, "You, Felix.... You are special, you don’t need to get written up.", if I were a normal teen, I would have been all glad about it, but, I have a feeling that something's up. - x.

Emos, Preps and the Whole Clique team
Anakoni Stark replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
here at my school, we've got groups of people who think are unique but are just your run of the mill kids, we've also got the jocks, emos, preps, geeks, band geeks and etc, etc.. there's a twist we have foreign exchange and deaf students at our school I used to associate with one of those "unique" groups last semister til I finally realised that they talked about the same bs every single day, so I left that group and now I associate with the deaf kids, because they have things to say, and it's not the same thing over and over again. [plus I also associate with them due to the fact that I'm going deaf.] -
Now: Flux [Natural's Not In It Remodel] Artist: Bloc Party Vs. The Outfit this track is a really good remix of the master track, The Outfit takes the track and it goes from generic synth rock into spaced out electro that has the power to fill a stadium and get everyone to dance. It's one of those tracks that fall into the boarderline of synth rock / space rock / electro. I highly suggest it for a house party, or just sitting in the underground station just watching people queuing up and people leaving.

What do you do when you are sick?
Anakoni Stark replied to Aaryanna_Mom's topic in General Discussion
I really dont get too ill anymore, but if it's boaderline between cold and flu, I stay home and sleep for really long hours, and when I do wake, I usually turn my psp on, and play games, surf the web, listen music or watch movies. if I do come down with the flu [which it within itself is rare] I manage to pull off a 23 hour nap, people say I wake up delierious and babble junk about 2012... but during that hour I'm awake I try not to do anything, cos my head would be super pressurized and it would hurt to keep my eyes open, not to mention teh pukeage. -
I recently bought Guitar Hero III and dude, that game is awesome, like the last one.... but, there's room for improvement, like the fact that they should of picked Hunting For Witches or Skeleton instead of Helicopter and I really do hate ending a session, in order to turn on two wireless guitars, and the constant autosave is pretty annoying. yea, I've been playing it since last saturday, but had to hang the axe up because I've been having sharp pain in my left hand.

today the song I picked kinda hit a personal chord with me, seeing that one of my brothers was attacked at school today due to being deaf: Where Is Home? / Bloc Party the second song I pick for two reasons: 1. I did it as part as one of my projects at school 2. it sounded bloody brillant when they played it at this year's electric proms with a full choir. Waiting For The 7.18 / Bloc Party

it's all those dances the kids are doing, [the Souljia Boy, the Spiderman, the Batman, etc] and all these new slang terms they're coming up with, half of them I've never heard of [if I could remember any, I would of posted them here] since when did: awesome, rad, and groovy go out of style? and when did the hair thing [majority of the hair covers one eye] go into style? plus when did music start becoming so simple? singing about "new bathing apes" and broken hearts, seems to be the ticket to success in song writing nowadays. I think that's a sign I'm getting old. another sign: no one's still heard of Bloc Party.

I'm almost done with Skate. [only three more film missions and I'm done!] and I'm working to get the armour premutations in Halo 3 and I have to finish the campaign on my account, cos I had accidentally finished the game on my friend's account. [the disadvantage of having friends who dont have a 360] I'm also working through BioShock it's getting harder now, cos I keep thinking too fast and charge into a firefight without processing my enviroment around me. -____-' - Freeman.

two of the bands that have piqued my interest [other than Bloc Party and Daft Punk] are The Klaxons and Justice they're like the only good stuff being played on the radio nowadays, I'm actually very tired of that soulja boy and those other lame songs about lip gloss and other repetitive subjects. nu-rave, ftw. [damn the NME for coining that term cos I dont know what genre The Klaxons and Justice fall into.] - Freeman
-
it's been awhile since I've said anything but, before I get off track, thise week's tune screaming through my speakers is: D.A.N.C.E. [Remix] / Justice Vs. MSTRKRFT I picked this song cos it's so damn infectious and it goes with almost anything, driving, skateboarding, dancing [lol], chilling out with your friends, and [STRIKE] doing homework.[/STRIKE] .... disregard that last suggestion. - Freeman
-
Now: Hunting For Witches Artist: Bloc Party Album: A Weekend In The City I like this one the most off of Weekend because it manages to sum up what kind of state of mind the people are in at the moment, and it's presented in a disco-y punk rock sound. it's also a good song to skate or dance to.

I've had quite a few pets, where to start.... the first pet that comes to mind is the family dog, Loki: Click Here to see Loki she's an okinowan-mix [Japanese] and she's quite old, almost as old as my little brother, 12 years old, she's quite tame, and very very protective of the family, she usually sleeps or louses around the house, but when she's awake she's very playful and energetic, it turns out that she likes classical music, and knows when fourth of July and New Years' Eve comes around cos she gets all scared and stays in my father's room. She's also very heavy almost forty pounds. I also have my sister's dogs [Pinky and The Brain] and my little dog who reminds my parents of a rat [Luxor] Pinky is actually my brother-in-law's dog, she was a stray, but they took her in and nursed her back to health, there's also another reason that they named her pinky [besides the fact that she looked like the mouse from the cartoon], it turns out she turns pink when you give her a shower. The other dog, Brain, I think her name orignates from the cartoon also, but the downside to this one is, she's very shy, due to getting beer during her puppy years, my brother-in-law's idea. Click Here to see pinky and brain Luxor, my dog, I dont know what kind of breed he is, and is usually mistaken by the vets to be a italian greyhound, among other misconsceptions. I love this dog as much as Loki, cos he's always full of energy, and is always playful, but what my parents dont like about him, is that he pees all over the place.

- I'm proud of my level of intellect and intellegence [even though it's slipping through my fingers very very slowly] - I'm proud that I have people I can count on, I'm also proud that they turned out to be true friends [see: KingEarthEater and Keyblade Wielder] - I'm also proud that I'm helping someone, who I hold close to me, on how to cope with her alcoholism and eating disorder. - I'm proud of my taste in music even though everyone looks down on it. [Go Bloc Party and Daft Punk!] - I'm proud of my heritage [filipino / spainsh / japanese] - I'm proud that I have a creative mind, and have the time and paitence to appereciate art, that said, Project: Silent Alarm will see the light of day - I'm proud that I have an ecentric and quirky personality, I know they dont know it, but I know after hanging out with me, I've changed some people. - I'm also very proud to stand up for what I belive in.
