My profile: Name: Cody Kendrick Age: 17 (Junior) Appearence: 5'9, light and feathery dirty blond hair ending above his ears. An average build with some muscular physique, ice blue eyes and is always wearing his beige leather jacket over a white t-shirt. Power: Cody has the ability to dematerialize solid matter with many common mineral and metallic make ups. Through touch, Cody can break down objects such as desks, walls, cars, etc and the effect of which makes it appear as if it turns into sand. After the item's break down, Cody can recompose the remnants into another object using only the same make up of the former item. Which means if he breaks down a sheet of metal, he can recompose them into tiny spears made from the same metal. The size and type of item is limited by the size and type of item that has been dematerialized. Personality: An admired student on campus for his athletic skill and cool demeanor, he can be boastful at times but ultimatley keeps a level head on himself, even in sticky situations. He isn't perfect in the academic department, getting mostly high Cs and Bs with the occaisional A here and there, though most of the time it's due to a pre-occupation of some sort. Since it's a high school drama type deal, we gotta make sure we play the parts well enough. Some ideas for our character relationships and types (taking into consideration White won't be showing up anytime soon, and Mary may post later into the theme rather then from the start, so it'll be ideas for Beth, Zeke, and myself.) -You guys could be sisters with totally opposite personalities, one of whom could be Cody's girlfriend while the other sees nothing special in him. -You could be "rivals in love" kind of like a Sakura/Ino deal from Naruto, with Cody being the object of your affections. -You could be opposite personalities (quiet outsider girl, popular cheerleader, tomboy athlete, etc) and the 3 of us could be in some kind of club together or group of some sort and be meeting each other or know each other for a while. One of the first two I think would be better for the drama aspect, but they all fit the high school aspect pretty well. If you have any other ideas then mention em, but we should def try to get an initial post up soon. Edit: Amazing my timing is >.>, lol. Since Zeke has hers up already I guess we can edit one of the ideas or think of something new.
You know, not to nitpick, but I think Sandy is going to be looking at far more than post quality. And though it's obvious that some of the players have more experience when it comes to RPG's I'm fairly certain other factors such as teamwork and whether or not the players are having fun is going to matter as well.
That definitly goes without saying, as i personally believe the reason The Mercenaries are doing so well is because of the effort they are putting in and how well they have been managing to work together since the script challenge.
Sorry if it makes me seem like I'm disagreeing, but I don't agree with that assessment at all. Based on what I already said in response to Ezekiel's statement. Lets not make the mistake of underestimating our opponents like we've been doing so far. *waits for her teammates to smack her*
Well, by no means am I underestimating the other teams. For one they have a lot more motivation to be kicking up their game then we do because we have been in a winning position for so long. Plus we have been struck with a lot of misfortune with inactivity, clear weak points that can easily be taken advantage of. I say what I said not in overestimation, but in genuine confidence in each of our talents. Quality, creativity, and teamwork are certainly not weak points we should have to worry about, and it has not been what has been holding us down either. I do believe that if we were in full form that we would be doing excellently. And nobody is gonna smack you >.>.....yet. (I keed I keed) :)

Sai took the night in completely, enjoying every part of Luyii's body within his control with his tongue and his hands. He gave her a lustful look as she practically pulled his shirt apart and slid it off with his help. His pants quickly came off as Sai knelt by her feet to get into a comfortable position to do so. While there he proceeded to roll her dress down her body, lifting her legs up slightly so her calves and his face were level, though the sight was quite generous in other places from his point of view as well. He slide the dress up her legs and tossed it aside, hurrying himself between her legs and laying himself onto her. He kissed her cheek and worked his way to her lips, breaking for a moment to appreciate the indulgent look on her face. He caressed her body down to her inner thighs and hooked her left leg with his other hand, bringing it up slightly so her leg lay bent over his shoulder. He brought his hips forward until they touched and he inserted himself into her, causing a mix between a yelp and a sigh kind of sound to force itself from Luyii's mouth. The night passed by with much of the same action, both falling asleep several hours later not really concerned with how much they were going to get. * * * * * The sun breached through the window and shades as Sai sat up in the bed, pants on but no shirt yet. He had been up for a while, he took a look at the clock seeing it was nine o'clock AM. A later start then normal, but rightfully so. Sai stood up and walked over to the nightstand and looked at his cell phone, one voicemail. He took the time out to listen to it, it was Kwan...Sai's assistant and right hand man down in the ring. Luyii began to stir and looked up at Sai as he just hung up. "Business so early, guess it comes with the trade." she spoke in a quiet tone, but loud enough to be heard. "Yeah...I've got quite a few things to handle today. Especially with the meeting next week and your father being back already." Sai explained, as he went to grab his shirt. A knock at the door stilled his hand however, as they both turned to the source of the noise. They both her Lai's voice from the other side of the door, Sai walked over and unlocked it allowing her to come in. "It's so late! How long have you two been sleeping. It's time to..." Lai stood silent in the middle of her sentence after seeing Luyii covered by her sheets and Sai holding on to the door knob still giving Lai a bit of a double eyebrow raise. Lai shot back a look to Sai, not one of surprise but one as if to say "well that figures". Lai walked in and began to clean up while Luyii stood and went to put her silk robe on. Sai proceeded to get fully dressed and skipped taking a shower for until he got back. "You'll have to excuse me ladies, but there's much to be done. I'll call you later." Sai said, aiming at Luyii. She walked over and gave Sai a kiss before he walked out, Lai watching on and giving Luyii a similar look to the one she gave Sai earlier, only in a bit of a less serious manner. Sai picked up his cell phone and began dialing a number. After a few rings an answer from the other end came. "Kwan, come get me. We'll discuss it when we get back. You can show me the listings while we're at it...alright, good...i'll see you in 5 minutes then." Sai hung up and took his sunglasses from his shirt collar and placed it on his face. * * * * * OOC: I'll get the second part of this post up tomorrow, i've quite a few things that need tending to at the moment.

I've heard from Mary in reponse to one of my PMs, she has at the very least alerted me in reference to her difficulty getting a post up. White on the other hand i've heard nothing from, and he has been on OB quite a lot the last few days. Kind of the deal with Mike back when he went MIA. I've done all I can concerning them, but there isn't much we can do about inactive members. We certainly cannot write up posts for them, and it isn't within our control if they don't even so much as let the rest of the team know about what's going on with them. I doubt very much that even if the three of us were active enough for every theme we would win since White and Mary are part of the team as well, but we could atleast put on a good effort and do it for the fun of it as well. I agree with Zeke that it seems rather rediculous that we would be doing poorly in this challenge, with all do respect to our opposition as well. But if we were all active then winning this challenge would be a simple task. In any case, I'll have a profile up for the new theme soon, i'm currently juggling a few things at once.
And I'd argue, based on firsthand experience, that that is not always the case. I've got a close friend who claimed to like anime to impress her then-boyfriend, although it was clear that she had no interest whatsoever. I would also argue that it is possible that someone may claim to be a fan, but not know what anime actually is; I've heard Justice League referred to as anime. I would propose a definition that covers the entire spectrum; "Someone who enjoys anime."
Pretty much my view on it, the latter part as stated above in my other post and the former relies too much on what the person says and not so much about whether it's actually true or not. You can call yourself a mexican gangster, but be a white anglo saxon kid in south carolina. Don't make ya one because you say so. You need to have some kind of legitamate positive and likeable connection with what your calling yourself a fan of.
I think that's a really good point, Lunox (as posted above me & earlier in the thread). However, I think that people who only like a specific show or two for a specific reason are probably inclined to recognize that they're not "anime fans" and may go out of their way to make sure others don't call them that. (e.g. a Go fan might watch Hikaru no Go for that reason--or Hajime no Ippo or Ashita no Joe for boxing, or a historical series because of his interest in that Japanese time period, or a culturally specific comedy because of his interest in Japanese culture in general.) Is that the sort of thing you were thinking of? Then again, it's harder to come up with that kind of scenario for Naruto... ~Dagger~
Like if someone only watches shows like Samurai Champloo, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Ruruoni Kenshin, etc. Perhaps they just like Samurai shows and not neccesarily anime. This would be furthered bolstered if they watched movies as well, such as The Last Samurai or Zatoichi, etc. If it's just the anime then i think it might be a bit of a mix of both, though only if the person refuses to watch anything else samurai based.

Needless to say, Sai will probably have the most direct run-in with seeing first hand effects of the drug. Especially if there's a bunch of ring fighters who are going much further then they should be.

Not a huge sweets and dessert fan myself. There are more cakes that i like than pie (cheesecake, pineapple upsidedown cake, carrot cake, chocolate mousse cake) but for pies...I guess i'm a fan of blueberry pie. The only real dessert/snack type dish I really go out of my way forthough is chocolate pudding.

Gotta be honest here, I haven't read every post in this thread because I think the answer is really quite simple. If your a fan of something, why are you a fan? Because you like it, it's that simple. Being an anime fan doesn't mean you have to draw anime, or go to conventions, or watch only subs, or watch only dubs, or whatever dumbass standards people try to create to protect their own anime fandom. If your an anime fan, then you've seen some anime, and you've liked it. There may be other categories like Anime Obsessed, and Anime Crazed Fanatics or something like that, for people who incorporate anime in their everyday life or people who believe you need to see 50 animes in japanese and pwn noobs or something obtuse like that. The only real condition for being an anime fan i believe is that you've seen more than one, and liked more then you have not liked. That's it. I am a Jamed Bond fan because i've seen the movies and liked them all except for maybe Moonraker. I am a Final Fantasy fan because i've played them all and liked them all except 11 and 12, still like the majority. I would not call myself a James Bond fan had i only seen one movie, and liked it since there is still a possibility that if I saw others, I would not like it. So being a fan of something as a general category such as anime does involve having seen more then just one example, which in any case could always be considered an "exception". I have a friend who is not an anime fan what so ever, but he does like pokémon. I wouldn't call him an anime fan, i'd call him a pokémon fan. If someone has only seen the adult swim animes and liked then, then he/she is an anime fan if he/she believes so. What's wrong with that? Maybe the person doesn't have access to other types of shows or is fully content with watching what's directly available to them on TV, or doesn't have the money to be buying DVDs and boxsets. It doesn't make them "fake" fans or "dissapointing" fans. I have seen plenty of subtitled anime and have bought plenty of boxsets of animes not shown on adult swim, i don't believe this makes me an anime fan and someone who only watches adult swim NOT an anime fan. I might be more of an anime fan because i go out of my way to watch things that interest me, but it doesn't deplete the other person's right to being an anime fan.

Sai hung his suit jacket on the back of one of one of the chairs. He observed Luyii as she walked slowly to her bed where she took a seat, she glanced at the meal sitting on the table that Lai had left for them. Quite a set up of assorted foods, including Sai's personal favorite abalone soup.Sai took notice of it as well as he followed in her tracks, arriving at her bedside and taking a seat beside her. "Amazing how well Lai knows me." Sai mentioned. "She is rather astute in many areas." Luyii responded. She took a moment to lay her self down across the bed and occupy herself with some thinking, both of recent events and what was to come for the future. Sai inched himself closer and touched his left hand gently to her shoulder, caressing it with each finger one after another. "Does it hurt?" Sai inquired, figuring that no matter what the answer would be it her shoulder probably was in even a little bit of pain. "Well, not as bad as your nose I'm sure." she answered, making it obvious that she was just fine. Sai answered with an expression of concurrence, as his hand began to wander down her arm slowly. Sai noticed her eyes close as his fingers slipped down off her arm and onto her side. Sai enjoyed the way Luyii's choice of dress looked on her slim and desirable body. His hand now reached the bare skin of her smooth legs, as he subtly gave the dress a little push upwards to reveal a little more of them. She let out a muffled moan, not so much one out of pleasure as one of endorsement. "I wasn't aware he had returned already. I've been looking after the ring quite a lot lately." he mentioned, recalling some business he had taken care of earlier in the day before Luyii had come to see him. "My father?" she asked quietly. "Mhm. Kwan had told me he was due back soon, I wanted to make sure I had my preparations ready. I'm afraid i've yet to finish however." Luyii gently smiled, still enjoying his touch as it lingered on her thigh area, massaging it between softly and moderately hard. "I'm sure you'll have little to worry about. My father has always trusted you, and now i'm sure he does even more." she said assuringly. He moved his land lower now and rubbed his palms over her strong yet tempting calves. She kept her eyes closed and pressed her hand to her body. "You'll be at the meeting next week, right?" he asked, realizing that the brotherhood would be in full effect with a great number of their important members at this particular meeting. "Yes. Much will be discussed concerning the ties between us and the Jade Forest." she answered, her voice more melodic from her comfort. "I've still little trust of many of them, but if everything works out as planned...it will benefit us greatly." Sai admitted. He ran his fingers down her ankle and began to unstrap her shoe. He pulled them off slowly and began caressing very delicately the sides of her feet. Luyii squirmed very slightly from the tickling sensation, but enjoyed it much more. "Enough talk of business for now, and we really shouldn't let the meal Lai prepared go to waste..." Luyii said, thought not honestly wanting to stop. Sai repositioned his body now so he was over hers. He brushed his hands up her back and to her shoulders and began massaging them as he leaned into her ear. "It won't...but right now I'm two kinds of hungry." Sai said. Luyii turned herself around underneath him and ran her own hands down his shoulders. "Besides, I love abalone soup." Sai said with a grin, as it was met by the rolling eyes of Luyii and a smile of her own.

Sai looked back at Luyii, not exactly surprised to see her...it wasn't her first trip down to the fight ring. He was rather delighted to hear that she would be visiting today when he received the call from Lai. They bantered for a short period of time over the phone until Sai assured her that Luyii would be welcomed properly. Now there she was, standing there with her fists taped up. Even now though, it was difficult for Sai to put "fighter" on the top of the adjective list he often used to describe her. He smirked as he walked slowly over to her with his hands behind his back. He circled her position as she stood still, taking in his gaze while he examined her from all sides. The crowd still seemed to be hot, it was a safe bet that a big fight had just ended...there was blood splattered in various places of the ring and people were still exchanging monetary winnings amongst themselves. Sai stopped in his tracks positioned behind Luyii. He walked closer to her and placed his hand on her shoulder, leaned in and whispered rather loudly into her right ear. "I'm quite pleased you'd choose to come down tonight. It's rather unfortunate though, I'm afraid I don't have anybody for you." Sai spoke, in what seemed to be a facetiously sounding dissapointed voice. Luyii crossed her arms and looked around at the crowd who were know fully aware of the beauty standing in the ring, some of them getting rather rowdy with their calls and body language. "Is that so? I do recall you told Lai you had something set up for me. Did something...happen?" Luyii asked, playing along. Sai circled around to her front now, wearing the same smirk. "Your opponent got scared, he told me to hold his place for a fight next week. Such a shame. It would have been quite a show." Sai explained. It was easy to acknowledge that despite Luyii having impressive fighting skill under her belt, a 5'1 pulchritudinous girl of her body frame wouldn't exactly instill fear in the egos of the majority of the fighters who lived in the fighting ring. Normally, the fear would have to be beaten into them. "That's too bad. Since we're both here though, we shouldn't dissapoint the crowd." Luyii said in a teasing tone, letting her eyes lead his around the room. "No, I suppose not." Sai responded, dropping his button down shirt off of his body shortly after. The crowd began to cheer wildly, chants of Sai's name filled the air. He had developed quite the fanbase for both his booking expertise and fighting skill in the time he has been in charge of the fight ring. She let out a half sarcastic half satisfied grin at the chorus of chants, as Sai clasped his hands together and nodded slightly to her. "Well then, I hear it's been a while since your last fight. I hope you haven't slacked off too much." Luyii said, stretching her arms and placing them in synch with her stance. Sai just smiled and thrusted his left hand forward and motioned for Luyii to come at him. She obliged gladly, coming forward with sharp slashes with her arms at his head and body. Sai dodged them in retreat, letting her come into his zone of reach. The crowd exchanged slips and bets once again, while the screams became stronger now that the action has started. Sai evaded left from one of her straight punches and grabbed her wrist from the side and swung her by her arm around fully before pulling her into his grasp. "Maybe I'm not the one you need to worry about getting slower." Sai teased, grasping her by the shoulder with his other hand. Luyii just answered with a glance and twisted her body underneathe Sai's wrist clutching arm, loosening his grip. She switched hands quickly, grabbing Sai's wrist now with her opposite hand and used the free one to spin an elbow shot into his face. Sai didn't stumble, but tilted his head down and caught a slight drop of blood with his hand as it ran down from his nose. Luyii has retreated back already shooting a satisfied grin his way. Sai wiped his nose as a now wider smile adorned his face. He came at her with a high right swing and followed up with a back left roundhouse kick. Luyii menuvered herself out of the way but Sai persisted with short thrust kicks and attempted body shots to keep her at bay. Luyii found time to begin a wave of her own kicks, avoiding a giant high kick from Sai by means of bridging her body back and handstanding her way back to a vertical base. She was flexible enough to put a rubber band to shame, and to instill the strongest feelings of wanting to wrap her in as many positions as possible within any hot blooded male. Sai persisted forward with a more aggresive display of his kickboxing background. Luyii calculated his kick pattern and took the opportunity to run herself inside of a high left roundhouse and go for a tackle. To her surprise though, Sai caught her arm as she came in and leaped his body over her's horizontally using the momentum his kick gave him. She spun around quickly and threw a stiff punch with her left catching his shoulder. Sai retaliated with a leg kick fake causing her to block with her own leg, Sai took advantage of her lack of vertical stability to come forward with a left body punch taking her off balance and down to the ground. The crowd cheered wildly as Sai walked around to Luyii's side. She looked up at him a bit winded, but no signs of actually being hurt. She was breathing hard, her chest showed that in addition to her arousal. Sai offered his hand down to her, waiting quite a few seconds before she took it. He helped her up slowly at first but then quickly whipped her into his body and grabbed her by the back of her neck with his free hand. "That really hurt you know." he said to her, before closing in on her lips with an aggresive yet deep kiss. Her body felt weightless as she was pulled into Sai's control, allowing him to partake in her lips as she in turn enjoyed his as well. Nothing ran threw her head except for the sensation of the adrenaline mixed with the arousal she felt. The crowd continued to cheer as they broke away, and Sai's arm was raised in victory. She crossed her arms while glancing at him, letting him soak in with another win, though their eyes never parted from one another. The two walked off the ring, Sai picking his shirt up on the way. "Well then, the night is young yet. What should we do now?" Sai asked, flipping the shirt over his shoulder rather then put it back on.

The gargoyles forces The Titans to part from one another as they flew in pursuit of each of the members. Adrian easily out ran them into a nearby forested cluster and tried to use the trees to his advantage to shake them off his trail. As he can he noticed both Sunny and Halbereth partake in futile attempts to harm the stone creatures by conventional means. Adrian, not one to give up on something he hasn't tried himself pulled two daggers out from the back of his belt and leaped up to a large tree trunk infront of him and shot himself off of it toward one of the gargoyles chasing him. He slashed the sides of it, causing just 2 minor sratches in it's surface as the living statue crashed through the tree trunk and merely u-turned itself back toward Adrian. "Oh Shite, you gotta be kidding me. The scratches, ok...but the tree?" Adrian said aloud as he continued running, this time west of his location. Two more gargoyles flew toward him, Adrian managed to duck and evade them the first time around but was soon surrounded by the one that had crashed through the tree and another one from the south. Adrian slashed wildly while trying to out-menuver the creatures when suddenly one of his dagger slices clear through the connection of the beast's wing and it's body. The gargoyle lost control of it's flight and crashed into the ground immedietly crumbling into a cloud of dust as if it were brittle like dry clay. "Well I'll be...you bums seem to be rather fragile afterall without your precious wings." Adrian exclaimed to himself as he ran toward the closest exit of the forest so he can alert the others. A crashing sound and a flare up of smoke led him into what was sure to be Dayne's direction. One of the gargoyles caught up with Adrian slightly but was quickly dispatched as Adrian spun around long enough to hurl two daggers at his pursuer slicing both of it's wings off causing it to crash down just behind his heels, the dust nearly missing his back as it erupted from the ground. Adrain leaped out of the forest and called out to Sunny and Dayne who were fending off a few gargoyles themselves. "Heyyy! Go for the wings! Even one of them, they seem to be their vital points if they are severed!" he yelled out. Sunny fiddled around with getting a comfortable swing at one of the gargoyles with her sword. As one came swooping in from her left she measured it up and took it's right wing off causing it to ram wildly into another one turning to dust as the other one just fell to the ground from the impact. "Dayne, go tell Halbereth. Adrian and I will take care of things and try to clear a path to the bridge." Sunny suggested, as Dayne nodded in agreement. "All this...you don't think we're the only ones after the Phoenix Heart, do ya Sunny?" Adrian asked almost rhetorically, figuring such defensive measures wouldn't have been prepped for just a single group of adventurers. "Even if we aren't...I doubt they are having an easier time getting in!" Sunny answered, both Titans hacking away as the onslaught of gargoyles finally seemed to diminish. Sunny and Adrian managed to clear a path and progressed to the large stone bridge over the most to what seemed to be only one of many entrances to the castle. Adrian looked back to see Halbereth easily dispatching the last of the gargoyles with ease once he found out the key to defeating them. "That guy sleeps with his sword, doesn't he?" Adrian asked, this time fully rhetorically. Sunny let out a slight chuckle as the group met up infront of the castle and proceeded in. The inside of the castle included winding hallways. At each turn, Adrian and Dayne both swore they heard voices from other parts of the castle, as if travelling on the wind. Halbereth took up the rear as usual, his hand readied on the hilt of his sword. A final turn took The Titans to a large staircase, wide enough to fit all four in a horizontal line plus more. They ascended up the staircase passing by pyramidal shaped windows, black birds and baby drakes flying in circles around that portion of the castle as if there was some kind of nesting grounds outside. 'I'm sure glad those things aren't fully grown...though I suppose they can't fit through these windows anyway' Adrian thought to himself as they reached the top of the stairs. At the first fight turn, Adrian and Sunny stopped short, brandishing their weapons hastily after coming into close quarters suddenly with two other people, humans they both seemed to be, one male one female. The two were startled by Adrian and Sunny, and vice-versa. "What is it? Morgwyn's followers?" Halbereth asked cautiously, unsheathing his sword. "Followers? No, not us...but you did scare the living crap out of us! Thanks for that." the woman said, leaning on the wall infront of a giant door. "No, you indeed don't seem to be followers. Who are you?" Sunny asked, still a little careful in her stance. One of the other travellers looked over to the other. "Of course, my name is Tiana...this here is my companion Shy." Tiana spoke, nodding his head to Sunny. "Yeah? Never heard of you guys, now out of the way. We have some business to tend to." Adrian said, hardly interested in the other adventurers. "Don't suppose you mean the Phoenix Heart? Because that's precisely what we are here for!" Shy said from behind his partner. "Yeah well isn't that a shame. Now like I said, kindly move aside." Adrian repeated. Sunny placed her hand on Adrian's shoulder, trying to convince him not to start any unncessary fights. "These people are not our enemies, Adrian. Don't worry...we'll accomplish what we came for." Sunny assured him. Before anyone could speak again, a bright pinkish red light emitted from the room they were infront of, along with a subtle yet lasting rumbling sound. Both bands of heroes rushed to the door. Shy, Halbereth, and Adrian struggled to pull the doors open but they were indeed heavier then its apperance suggested. It was then two more figures came from the other end of the hallway, this time a man and a woman. "I thought I heard voices as we came up those stairs." the woman said, standing there opposite the other seven. "Tell Alexandra and Bethany that it is safe. They don't look like Morgwyn's minions."

Well lesse, in addition to vying to make Luyii his for his own personal reasons and anything that will happen in that chain of events, Sai will scouting out fighters for the underground ring and selecting who he thinks is worthy to compete in a high stakes tournament that will serve as the entertainment for an important meeting between higher ups of the Brotherhood of Eternal Repose and Brotherhood of the Jade Forest during their quest for diplomatic relations. Out of this Sai hopes to also gain even more authority and power within the ranks of the higher ups.
I don't think people are getting their Chinese Zodiac correctly. I calculated that if my character was born in 2076, he would be Monkey, and the year this takes place, 2099, would be the year of Sheep. The order of the signs by year is:
Rabbit (2083 - the character born in this year would be 28 in the game) Dragon (2072) Snake (2073) Horse (2074) Sheep (2075) Monkey (2076) Rooster (2077) Dog (2078) Pig (2079) Rat (2080) Ox (2081) Tiger (2082 - the character would be the minimum age of 17)
So, I don't know how important the Zodiac signs are for you, Raiha, but shouldn't everybody have the right one?
I asked the same when I did the calculations, but i think choosing based on personality would be ideal. Don't think too many people will be all that particular about people not being accurate in their zodiac sign birthyear wise.

Well known for his superior martial arts skills, and often enters the rings himself to meet special challenges and have fun with other fighters. Satisfied with his position, though always looking for more ways to satisfy his greed and indulgence. Appearance: [1] - Before a Fight - [2] - At a Brotherhood Meeting Weapon of Choice: His martial arts - skilled in kickboxing, kung-fu, sanshou, and street fighting. If the situation calls for it, he will use his pair of Beretta 93R machine pistols. Biography: Before joining the Brotherhood of Eternal Repose, Sai stumbled onto the underground fight scene run by the brotherhood at age 25 and was coaxed into a fight as an underdog to put over one of the regulars. Sai shocked the crowd and the brotherhood officials when he defeated and killed the man everyone thought he would lose to. After the fight, Sai was approached by Lu Sheng; the ring's organizer at the time and attacked out of a fit of rage since he had lost a hefty sum of money on a bet due to result of the fight. Sai fought back and almost killed Sheng until he was shot in the arm by one of the ring's assistants. What would have been Sai's last moments was stopped by one of the lower bosses of the brotherhood who killed Sheng and took Sai to one of the brotherhood's doctors and offered him a position as the new ring boss. Sai has pledged himself to the brotherhood and loves his new life. Since joining the brotherhood, Sai has had an infatuation with Luyii, the organization boss's daughter. He has stayed loyal to the brotherhood for the preservation of his position and wealth, but also more specifically loyal to the brotherhood's leader in hopes that he may be favored well enough make Luyii his. On the other hand, he also expects that she would help his ranks within the brotherhood as well in the eyes of the leader and therefore the others. This of course in addition to the personal pleasures he desires to receive from her company. Personality: Sai is a stern individual who enjoys fighting and beating people up. Since given the position of authority he has, he tends to abuse it gladly and answers to very few people other than the other higher ups of the brotherhood, and of course the leader. He is a sharp tongued and clever person who doesn't neccesarily have to resort to violence all of the time, he just prefers to. Sai has been known to go too far when roughing people up and takes great pleasure in beating people badly to the point of broken bones, massive bleeding, and sometimes death. Sai, skilled in debate and business aside from his physical inclination, attends all of the important brotherhood meetings and is sometimes used for jobs that require his persuasion. Whether that means putting someone on the wrong end of his fist, or a bullet. When tending to matters of the fight club, Sai acts like a big shot and accepts all challenges made to him. He also detests it when things do not go his way and has been known to take aggresions out on others for it.

Also for atleast the first post for each theme for us we could post the basics of our character profiles at the top of our posts. So people and Sandy won't have to refer far to keep track of who our characters are. It would help considering there are five of us.

Name: Adrian Cobalt Age: 74 (elven years) Species/Job: Wood Elf / Rogue Appearence: Adrian (Male elf) Weapons: Daggers / Crossbow * * * * * The forests of the Aria Kingdom run vast, some of them so dense that hardly any sunlight shone through the leaves and branches. The northeastern continent was home to the most advanced forest based civilization, home to many elf kind. The treetop city of Dalithe was amongst the largest, and served as an ample supplying city for travellers of all kind. Well, all kind but the unwelcomed filth of the marshes and boneyards. Ogres and trolls, that sort of company. They were hardly any kind of threat to the progressive army of the humans and elves. Dalithe lays third closest to the southern tip of the continent of all the cities. It was south eastward the travellers collectively known as The Titans were headed before stopping in for supplies. Their destination was the port city of Gonalden. One member broke away from the group upon their arrival to Dalithe, waving behind him as he walked hastily up one of the ramps leading to the treetop platform where one of the bar/inns of the city was located. This one secluded for the most part from the main inhabited part of the city. Adrian walked in and looked around casually. He adjusted the chainmail under his tunic and blew a few strand of his silvery hair our from out of his face. His eyes hurried to the left side of the room as he began walkig over to a table with 3 other elves sitting around and talking over drink. He took a seat, drawing the attention of the darker haired elf who glanced oddly at him, stilling the mug in his hand. "You've business here?" the dark haired elf asked firmly. Adrian reached into his satchel and pulled out something wrapped in a cloth hankerchief. He slipped it underneathe his hand toward the inquiring elf without casting a single glance in his direction. The dark haired elf took it and grunted. "You'll have to see Syd for your reward. If this is real, of course." "What're you joking? Of course it's real! I almost got killed trying to retrieve this thing, and why do I have to see Syd?" Adrian asked, a little louder then he should have. "Would you lower your voice! You know not to say Syd's name in a public place like this. Now just shut up and follow me." the dark haired elf instructed, getting up and leading Adrian behind the bar and into a secret door behind a wine rack. They descended a bit, clearly they ended up below the treetops once reaching an area lit by candleabras with dim stone hallways. "Dien, what's the problem? The poster said 5,000 gold easy. It's just a stupid gem, why does Syd have to be involved?" Adrian inquired. "We've gotten a bunch of fake submissions already, and i'm especially suspicious of you Adrian. Don't think I forgot the last time you scammed 10,000 gold off of that crest we hunted for! Syd is still angry about that as well, so you'll be lucky if he even gives you a silver piece for this!" Dien answered, opening a door rather forcefully. "Hey come on, you guys are too uptight! I apologized already about that, besides you got that dagger submission didn't you?" "It was worth significantly less!" Dien said, gritting his teeth. "Hey come on, it's the trade afterall. Tell you what, our next hunt i'll let you have the precious piece." Adrian said facetiously, attempting only to quell Dien's anger. "Hmph, and what of your companions? The name of the Titans spreads throughout the land for their feats. Do they know they travel with a good for nothing rogue who swindles his partners, I wonder?" "I guess you've yet to discover the wonders of finding a group of people you can actually rely on for once, Dien my friend." Dien scoffed at Adrian's last remark and opened one last door. The two rogues walked into the room which was fashioned like an underground meeting place. Elves, humans, and dwarves a like walked about and mingled. Over in the corner there was a table, a dark haired human male with an eye-patch stood next to a seat and looked as if he was plotting out a map of some sort. The two elves walked over, as Dien approached the man. "Adrian is here, with what he claims is the gem." Dien spoke. The dark haired man took the hankerchief and examined it. He looked toward Adrian who was doing a few tricks with his dagger, tossing it into the air and catching it and such. "It pains me to say that this is the genuine artifact. I trust you'll be satisfied with a thousand gold." the man said, placing the gem on the table. "A thousand!? The reward was five! Come on Syd, old pal..." Adrian retorted. "Consider it your down payment for what you still owe me for that fake crest! Your lucky your getting anything at all." Syd replied cutting Adrian's sentence short. Adrian didn't bother arguing back, considering he was surrounded by a large group of Syd's right hand men. As the leader of the Thieves Guild, he always had a slew of followers around him in some form or another. "Hm, fine then. So we're square for now. How about another mark?" Adrian asked. "Nothing for ya right now, you can see yourself out and i don't give a crap if the door hits you on the way out." Syd answered back, wanting very much for Adrian to leave his sight. He sighed and headed for the door. Before reaching it, Adrian was stopped by a figure in a hooded cloak. His face was well hidden, it could not be told if he was elf or human, though clearly not dwarf by his stature. "You...are you not Adrian Cobalt of The Titans?" an raspy elderly voice came from the hooded man. Adrian pulled his arm back quickly from the man's grip and wore a weary look on his face. "I am...what of it old man?" "Some information for your band...you will not hear this on the thieve's channel my boy. It is about the famed Pheonix Heart..." Adrian raised his eyebrow and brought himself closer to the old man, now interested in what he had to say. "Come again?" "The Phoenix Heart...the sorceress Morgwyn has taken it for herself. The Titan's willingness to retrieve this precious treasure would serve as quite a service to this land as she seeks to replenish her youth and the true strength of her powers. You being a hunter of precious treasure would surely see the worth in such a journey." the man continued. "Indeed that is grave news, but certainly an opportunity. But tell me old man, how do you know all of thi...?" Adrian stopped himself mid-sectence after noticing the old man has vanished into thin air, leaving only his cloak behind. Adrian shook his head and checked the entire room over. He was nowhere to be found. "Who in the..." Adrian thought to himself, slowly proceeding out the door and back out into the city. On his way out he saw one of his comrades, the swordsman Halbereth. "Hal, where is everyone else?" Adrian asked. "They said they would meet us at the eastern entrance. Sunny and Dayne went for the supplies." Halbereth answered. "I think we should gather everyboy at the central inn. There's something I just heard from the thieves guild that may prove rather interesting." "You mean Morgwyn and the Phoenix Heart?" Halbereth answered, leaving Adrian a bit surprised. "Wait...how do you know about that?" Adrian asked. "The old cloaked man...I thought it was rather strange." "Old cloaked man...I wonder if he appeared to all of us?" Adrian wondered out loud. "It seems it was meant for us to embark on this journey...we must see what happened with the others."

I'll put up a post today, i'm hoping for atleast 2 more profiles to be put up aside from mine before the end of today (when i intend to put my post up) so i can include them atleast. My Profile: Name: Adrian Cobalt Age: 74 (elven years) Species/Job: Wood Elf / Rogue Appearence: Adrian (Male elf) Weapons: Daggers / Crossbow Personality: Sneaky, clever, charasmatic. Adrian can come off as annoying at times, but is quite valuble for purposes of stealth and persuasion. He also has a greedy nature about him when it comes to treasure, but has travelled with his companions long enough to develop a peace with sharing with them, even if he doesn't always want to. Notes concerning character relations: To be edited with the addition of profiles. When posting your profiles feel free to include relationships with other characters in any ways, be sure to be interactive in this aspect and make sure your character fits well with the group! Let's really steal the show with this challenge.

OOC: [strike]Wanted to get the basic stuff up, will edit sometime later or tomorrow. Hopefully this time around I'll be able to use Virgil for a long period of time.[/strike] Edit 1 - Completed, unless further edits are required concerning relationships. * * * * * Name: Virgil Kingston Age: Around 400 years of age (cannot recall exact date of birth due to haziness in memory caused by the incident when he was turned) / appearence suggests early-mid 30s. Species and Clan: Vampire / Augustine Clan Appearance: Virgil Personality: Virgil is an indulgent yet diciplined invidual who enjoys intellegent conversating as his preferred type of communication with others, whether it be with human or vampire. He keeps in good shape and enjoys some of the finer things in life, more importantly beautiful women and certain styles of gothic and romanesque architecture. He also enjoys poetic literature and often cites his favorite lines when they relate to the current situation. Virgil is well-spoken and with his mannerisms can often pass for a human when in public. The turbulent times in Britain make it difficult to live out an ideal life to Virgil's liking, but it remains part of his motivation to stand by his clan's common goal. Virgil often finds himself explaining the advantages of the Augistine's way of life in reference to how vampires and humans should live, and despite not completely being devoid of traditional beliefs; he understands the goals in the type of future the Augustine clan is aiming for. As laid back as he is however, he can become easily bothered by what he feels is ignorance on the side of the Nicodemus Clan. Though he reserves judgement for until he knows the invidual well enough. Biography: Virgil's earliest memory was laying on the streets of 17th century Romania, the sky and ground decorated by rain, the dark clouds moving at such a slow pace. Virgil lifted his head to see a man of japanese background, extending his hand to him. His mind and vision were hazy...Virgil had no clue what had just happened, why he was laying on the streets, or why he couldn't remember anything. "If you stay...the thirst will cause you pain...and you will become a monster" he heard the man who had his hand extended toward him say. Virgil looked at himself, he saw his blood mixing with the rain on the streets, but lacked the energy even to simply panic. Virgil felt compelled to take the man's hand, he was taken in by him and came to know him as Aketchi. Over the years Virgil learned dicipline and how to live as he was amongst the world of humans, though it took time to sink in that he was no longer human himself. He was trained in the art of several types of weapons, including the nagamaki, fighting bo, kusari-gama, dagger, and longsword. He was naturally intellegent, but his memory was drastically effected during the attack that turned him. He remember close to nothing before the attack, but has an impeccable memory for events afterwards. Virgil found his way to England close to the 20th century and resided there for the later part of his life and currently. Because of who he was, he inevitably came into contact with other vampires affiliated with both clans, some encounters more civil than others. After a long period of deliberation, and the forming of a close friendship with a member of the Augustine Clan, Virgil joined their ranks after deciding their long term goals were indeed in his best interest. Also as time went on he came to find that he held many disagreements in fact with members of the Nicodemus clan. Though overall, he was pro-vampire life for the purpose of their right to exist regardless of affiliation, even if he was forced to clash in ideals or in person with his fellow kind. Years later, upon the formation of the S.O.L.F, Virgil was appointed as an emissary for the organization. Some years later he was promoted to one of the chiefs, which gave him multiple leadership responsibilities and prominence in the eyes of both clans, whether it was positive or negative was dependant on who's point of view it was from. Virgil's position didn't effect his approachability though, as he was known to be one of the more understanding and reasonable members of the organization. Virgil also has a strong like for Helena Montgomery, having saved her from death and recruiting her into the Augustine's ranks. He enjoys having her around not only because of her looks, but also because she is like a breath of fresh air when he is stacked with work or even when he's just out and about. He'll joke around sometimes by calling her his secretary. Extras : -Virgil has a unique ability that lies within his vocal chords, that when being used makes his voice sound polyphonic to the listener. The effect of which causes a quick and enhanced feeling of fatigue within the person. Making it an effective skill for attack and defense. -As stated above, Virgil has an affinity for multiple types of melee weapons. Virgil dislikes using guns but isn't neccesarily inept if needing to use one. -Virgil drives a fully customized black Lincoln Navigator -Virgil sometimes enjoys messing around with the younger vampires, but overall likes to look after them.
