Zodiac signs are disturbingly interesting. I mean, how could your date of birth really truly depict your personality is beyond me, but for some strange reason, my zodiac sign fits me perfectly.
*nodnod* agreed. 1) What day is your birthday? -July 25, 1985 2) What is your zodiac sign? -Leo 3) How does your zodiac sign describe your personality?
Generous and warmhearted Creative and enthusiastic Broad-minded and expansive Faithful and loving On the dark side.... Pompous and patronizing Bossy and interfering Dogmatic and intolerant
4) Does the description of your zodiac actually describe you? Why? -Oh, much of it tis true indeed. It is as Sandy said, it's weird just how accurate these things can be despite having any true connection to a person's personality being improbable. I am over generous sometimes I feel when it comes to certain things, it's something I'm trying to balance out. Warmhearted toward those I love or even just like. Creative is probably the best word to decribe me if one had to be chosen (aside from intellegent of course =P), my creativity spews from me through words and writing whenever possible. Enthusiastic...probably the least out of all of them but I can get pretty hyped depending on the situation. Broad-minded and expansive are two things I am proud of being as they give me immunity to ever being called ignorant, and if I am it would have no validity because I make a point out of being able to see passed the obvious and see every POV involved in something. I am very faithful, in more then one way and loving probably goes without saying if you saw the way I acted infront of my female friends, lol. Even the dark side is somewhat true, I can be honest with myself and I know it. Yes I can be pompous, though i prefer to use the word arrogant. When you are as intellegent and creative and expansive as I am, it almost seems inevitable that I would become arrogant (see, just like that) lol. I have been told I can be patronizing, sometimes it just comes out in terms of tone of voice but i always make an effort to make sure I don't intentionally hurt anyone's feelings if I don't truly mean to. I'm actually not all that bossy or interfering...I'm only bossy when it comes to teaching somebody something I'm proficient at. Dogmatic probably goes along with arrogance, this is true in certain ways as well, but on the flipside I am very open to the opinions of others in many cases. Uhh...intolerant I'm actually going to have to say a big no to. With the exception if pure idiocy and the inability to think for yourself, i'm quite tolerant of many things. This is just simply what's true about me as far as how my sign is typically described. There's a whole world about myself that doesn't fit into these descriptions as well. 5) How does your zodiac sign PWN over the rest? -Well...for one I rule all of you. Leo is the king after all. :D . mwahaha. But in any case Leo's are natural born leaders I suppose, were passionate about what we do and eventhough we have a couple of profound negatives, our hearts are gold and suprisingly fragile...especially when it comes to the ones we love. If you really take the time out to get to know us, we would make your heart melt =). Edit -
EDIT: Oh and before BKstyles posts, Sagittarius > Leo's 365-24-7 Dumb Lions... =D
Son of a.... >

"A girl so young has somehow found herself a Death Note...I suppose that doesn't seem odd to you, right?" Matt asked as he walked down the street toward the subway station on Atlantic Avenue. Forseti shadowed Matt while he walked, keeping his focus straight ahead as he usually did. "It is not odd. Why do you ask?" "Ehhh...forget it. For being charged with the duty of watching over the human world you death gods sure know less about us then you probably should, you know that?" Matt responded with a sigh. They made their way down the stairs and turned onto the stairs leading up to the 4 & 5 line. "You saw Esdras, correct?" "Esdras? Oh, you mean her death god. Yeah...but I think Beth was a bit more effected by your appearence then I was of Esdras. So...what, you guys buddies or something?" "Buddies? I know him, that is all. I was merely unaware that he had let his Death Note slip into the hands of a human as well." "Heh, I have to say it was my first time meeting someone else with one of these. But the fact that there are quite a few of us must mean you guys are pretty irresponsible." The train pulled up, it was very crowded. But that was to be expected on Nea Years Eve. More people got on than off, Matt stood crunched between two people as Forseti casually glided and made himself parallel to the ceiling. "Must we go through this again, did I not explain to you before that it was because another Death God and I were in the same area on business and she carelessly bumped into me." Forseti reminded Matt. "Yeah yeah, you told me don't worry. What was the other Death God's name anyway? Song? Heh, that sure is a weird name. But anyway, you could try to look forward to the New Year with everyone else. Maybe i'll even bump into somebody who will piss me off enough to make my pen finger itch." Matt said aloud, not realizing he had drew the attention of a small group of people who had glanced over expecting to see him on a cell phone. Matt's eyes widened and he slowly glanced back and forth, trying to think of what to say. "Heh, I uh...sorry everyone I was just rehearsing for a play i'm in! Pretty nervous you know, so I say my lines out loud sometimes." Matt received mixed glances as while it didn't seem like anybody really believed him, nobody also really cared. They wanted to go about their business and be off the train to avoid anymore run ins with some crazy person. "Hm, you humans are indeed entertaining at times." "Shut up and try to enjoy the ride." Matt said in a low muffled voice. He had already heard the names of exactly 3 death gods, and knows of another Death Note holder. Logic told him that there was at the very least 3 of them out there. More interestingly, Matt couldn't help but feel that there was something else convincing him to want to be at the Old Maxwell Theater. He felt almost anxious, though he couldn't explain it. * * * * * ooc: Don't mind at all =). Sorry I didn't post earlier, but in any case it seems as if most of us are already near the designated spot.
As I am on a site filled with anime and action/kung-fu movie fans, I find it extremely difficult to understand why there aren't any fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championships or Mixed Martial Arts period. It's my favorite sport, and if ever there were to be one I'd hope to participate in professionally, wishful thinking would lead me to that one. Anybody else a fan? Any favorite fighters and what not?
I do enjoy UFC and other MMA industries, though I am still a fairly new fan to UFC specifically. The concept of MMA is something I've always been a fan of, but watching it hasn't been an activity of mine until the middle of last year. I'm still not sure if i'm up to date on any fueds or storys that may be going on within (except that Ortiz/Shamrock had bad beef) but i can honestly say that my top 3 favorites are Forrest Griffin, Tito Ortiz, and Rich Franklin. Griffin because he is exhilirating to watch, it's like he lives in the octagon. He can beat his opponents almost any way, and the matches no matter who he fights are always exciting. Ortiz because he is absolutely brutal. The guy pound for pound has to be the strongest fighter in the UFC at least, and with that his strikes are absolutely devestating. Franklin somewhat because of the same reason as Griffin, but not as much. I have seen less fights from him then i have of Griffin and Ortiz but he's pretty bad *** from what i've seen.
Many classic horror icons share common characteristics. Pale skin, dark, sunken eyes, elongated faces, sharp teeth, razor claws and the like. These images inspire horror and revulsion in many, and with good reason. The characteristics shared by these faces are imprinted in the human mind. Many things frighten humans instinctively. The fear is natural, and does not need to be reinforced in order to terrify. The fears are species-wide, stemming from dark times in the past when lightning could mean the burning of your tree home, thunder could be the approaching gallops of a stampede, predators could hide in darkness, and heights could make poor footing lethal. The question you have to ask yourself is this: What happened, deep in the hidden eras before history began, that could effect the entire human race so evenly as to give the entire species a deep, instinctual, and lasting fear of pale beings with dark, sunken eyes, razor sharp teeth, and elongated faces?
The fact that this particular appearence is deviant from the kind of appearence we as humans have come to accept as normal or ideal. It's often said people fear what they do not know, this fits in with that concept as well. They see something that strikes them as odd because it doesn't satisfy their innate need for comfort. It's exactly the history of getting used to a shallow amount of certain kinds of looks that has caused frightful feelings toward anything that defies that idea (at least in most people. Others may find it simply interesting or not be effected at all). So it isn't necessarily a specific event that might have happened, but just over time we have grown accustomed to what chiefly can be described as "human". With little or no interest in getting to know the details behind something that threatens their picture of perfection, humans turn to fear and apprehensiveness.

The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty of 2006 (Nominations Thread)
TheResplendent replied to Shy's topic in General Discussion
Hm, and here I was thinking this wouldn't happen this year. Glad it is. So lesse... What is it?: Otaku Idol 2 [Event] Why is it nifty?: It's an event that marks history within the community of OB. It's the very first time a staff position has been openly offered to any member willing to participate in a certain event. Because this was the only requirement, it meant that any member whether they be new, old, or mod could have an equal chance. With their minds, dedication, and creativity as the only tools; Otaku Idol 2 initially saw 3 members attempt to face their events off for the position of new Events Master. It became 2, and the events come close to conclusion soon. What is it?: Citius Altius Fortius 1 [RP] Why is it nifty?: Despite it's being an elaboration on already existing concept, it brought a world of possibility within a widely common field of RPing that involved high school drama, action, and magic. To the members involved, it moved along quickly yet neatly as well. It captivated everyone's attention and we as the members took it to 140+ pages before it's abrupt death. Tis true it's death was as well due to it's popularity, but in either case it is noteworthy (or nifty) both because of it's success and failure. While it's second installment was not as succesful, it too drew largely. But it could not beat the original. I shall add some more once I get them organized... -

Feng looked up from the dirt she gripped within her hands. It was all she felt when she landed at her destination. The atmosphere was dark and cold, drab and dreary. As Feng's head jolted up she came face go face with an all too familiar sight. Her eyes began to tear from terror and hopelessness, as the gray color from the very grave she had started out in stared her back in the face. 'N...no way! Why am I here again!? WHY AM I BACK HERE AGAIN!?' Feng yelled within her own mind, the feeling of defeat overwhelming her. She was back at the beggining...she didn't know what was in wait for her had she tried taking any direction, she figured it was all different...it just seemed hopeless after getting so far to start over again. There was something different about the grave itself however, this time there was something else etched into it other then just her name. It now read "Here lies Feng Li", and right under it it now said "Suffered til her dying day, from a void in conscience". "Wha, what in the world? That wasn't there before, what does THIS mean?" she cried, holding her head between her hands. It was then, another's hand reached out and touched Feng on the shoulder. Feng felt startled at first, but then assumed that what had just transpired was merely a dream, and that the hand was Maya or Janet trying to get her to keep moving. Feng turned around cautiously, despite being sure it was one of them. "Hello, little girl! Have you lost your way!?" the voice of the person said. Feng screamed as loud as she could after seeing who was behind her as she fell backwards, a new feeling coming over her. A feeling of one's impending doom. "A...ayame!? But, you can't be here...can you?" Feng asked in fright from the state Ayame was in. She was tattered, as if half-decayed. Her face fell half way from her face and her body was in the condition worse off then sandpaper. Puss dripped from Ayame's jaw as she grinned maniacally through the exposed portion of her skull. "Oh, it's me you little *****! YOU made it so far...you...a little **** girl, why?" Ayame wailed as she dropped to her knees in a reaching position with her skeletal like arm toward the little girl. Feng froze with terror at first but forced her legs to move in one sudden jolt, as if waking up from a nightmare. She could not get far however... "Yes...why? Why did I deserve to die? I thought... I was doing so well for my students...but instead you go on to live in my stead? Does my life truly deserve to be destroyed so much?" the voice from a broken down Callisto said. Feng backed away from terror, now seeing another undead of the group that were not fortunate enough to make it this far. "No...no! I'm sorry! You didn't deserve to die, none of you did! It's this place's fault!" Feng screamed trying to find her way out of the graveyard through the bushes, but this time they were enclosed tightly with vines leaving no entry. In a panic, Feng flared up her palms and shot balls of fire into random parts of the bushes, but nothing made enough consequential damage. "It is your fault...you are fine with us being dead, as long as you save your own skin. Isn't that right? Can you escape this place and dream peacefully at the same time? Or will you see the horrid faces of those you witnessed die for no good reason...tell me Feng Li?" spoke a tattered body that Feng made out to be Vanna. Her wrecked body's eyes were missing completely, as dried up blood adorned her sockets while she drew closer to the little chinese girl. "Don't...don't say that!? No, I never wanted any of this! I don't know why I'm still alive!" Feng continued the futile attempt of escape before tripping and falling off of the very stone that read "Nexus" they had all gathered around after their awakening. She rolled and fell directly into the very ditch she had crawled out of. Feng stood still, looking up toward the sky from the six feet she was now underground by. "This is...your punishment. Your punishment for not only reveling in the life you keep at the expense of others...but for failing to help those you would have considered close. May you rest in a state of bliss...child." the broken down body of Maya spoke as she reached downward with her palm. "M...Maya, not you too..." Feng began to say, weeping from the overwhelming feeling of sadness she had from the extreme amount of survivor's guilt that was induced on her. "I...never meant to hurt anybody...or wrong anybody...I wanted us all to make it out! But...that's impossible now. So fine I guess, if you all really want to punish me...then go ahead." Feng exclaimed with tears pouring down her cheeks as her heart plummeted through her body. There was nothing left to feel that could be associated with hope or life. She was taken by the cruel tides of fate to what seemed to be a test of her fortitude and mental stability. But the tombstone had depicted her fate accuratley it would seem. Mounds of earth crumbled down atop her caused from the power emitting from Maya's hand. Feng's last thoughts orbited around the feeling of fear as she initially thought she could accept this. But the earth falling atop her, sealing her away alive created feelings of agony that would have torn her apart...if she could draw one last breath from her body. 'Can I rest peacefully now, I wonder?' was Feng's dying thought as the dust from the bones of the undead members of the labyrinth blew away with the gust of wind. Discuss SSMB: Reunion Underground [PG - V, possible L]
TheResplendent replied to TheResplendent's topic in Theater
It is a shame, and I thought for sure that it would have atleast gone a little further then this. It seems I overestimated the popularity and interest in the game from the beggining. I don't intend on nagging people to post or whatnot, as i've already sent out some PMs noting that the RP had begun. People seem to not want to participate for whatever reason, it is their perogative. Though if anyone is still interested I suppose I can put together a round with the active members sparring against one another (eventhough there are currently 2 people who have already posted once who are due to make a second post and have not yet). -
I'll have a post for Labyrinth up by tomorrow night the latest. Now that I finally have time to do something other than work/empty my wallet =(. In reference to the questions, I like that there is a variety of questions that range from prominent ones pertaining to the impending Event Master role for one of these two individuals, to questions that simply tell us a little more about themselves so we can get to know them better in some sense, however small it is. The one question specifically aimed at White concerning labyinth however is not only unfair but childish as well. What is being implied through this questions is far from the truth because as I've already said once in this thread, Labyrinth depends on it's members to keep it going and any instances of a slow down has been due to myself, Sakura, SunfallE, any of us just simply posting slowly. For whatever reason we may have, but it all comes back to taking care of real life first and foremost. Expecting all of us to simply sit infront of a monitor all day ready for our turn to post in Labyrinth and keep it going for pages upon pages was not something likely to happen. I think that would have even scared Sandy. None of this should be blamed on White in any way either. There been a couple of debates already concerning the role of Sandy and White in Labyrinth, but whether it boils down to them being very active or hardly active, it only means so much if the members themselves do not participate up to par with the standards that keep the event going. From what I see however, there has been no such apathy toward Labyrinth from any of the members (alive or dead) that would put it's progress in danger of not finishing. The closest may have been Eclipse, but the fact that she quit and alerted either White or Sandy (whoever was the leader for labyrinth at the time of eclipse quitting) shows that she did the right thing. White handled removing Lita from the event and we are still going, albeit slower then usual. But again, with the holidays being hectic for almost everybody it was to be expected. None of us are at fault nor are any of us responsible for a fictitious scenario involving "Labyrinth being killed". Labyrinth is neither dead or dying regardless of how it seems, I'm sure White feels the same. Once i make my post, we're pretty much at the homestretch. On another note, I feel the "Which staff member do you think is weakest in their position" was a very good question to be asked. It should demonstrate professionalism amongst the staff members as it pertains to the observation of one another, which must ultimatley lead to constructive criticism and methods of filling in any gaps that may put the cohesive overseeing of the community into a weakened state. The fact that debates are happening because of it, in terms of calling respect between members into question in my eyes is showing a failure to grasp the real intent of what the question was meant to prompt. Also, no the question is not mine and it is not why I am bringing attention to it. Also IMO since other's have brought it up, in no way shape or form do I think Charles of all mods is weakest in their position. But that's just my opinion.

I'm content with being amongst the judging portion of OB. Not that I prefer not to post pics of myself (I already have anyways), it's simply that I do not have a camera to use in such consistency. Otherwise i'd probably join as well. Though if i could figure out how to work with sending pics from my cell phone to my computer, i'd probably deal with that. I've been wrestling with the damn feature for a while now > -

Writing Tekkaman: 23rd Century Supermechs (M - V,L)
TheResplendent replied to Tekkaman's topic in Creative Works
Gave it a read like I said I would, and I'm sure I'd appreciate it much more if I actually had watched the show before but it dosn't seem to be necessary. It's a good introducing post that focuses mainly on the structure and brief history of the tekkamen (tekkaman zero looks badass btw). I look forward to meeting the characters to be introduced, assuming the officers looking over this info don't necessarily play a large role in the events to come (or if they do, they will take a back seat to the pilots). It's like I said though, if I followed the series this stemmed from I probably would be able to appreciate it more, but nonetheless I like it so far. Also, I'm going to assume Nick Carter is a coincidence and you didn't mean to use the backstreet boy as a character in your story, lol. -
I disagree with a lot of the received but I will just nominate from the systems i've played and the games i've played, so my choices may also be disagreeable. I have played quite a large variety of 06 releases though, so lets see: Best Gamecube game - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: This pretty much goes without saying, it was one of nintendo's most anticipated releases in years and delivered big time. Not to mention it is perfect on the gamecube, I wouldn't trade it for the Wii copy at all. I havn't played through all of it yet, but i'm looking forward to doing so. Best Playstation 2 game - So long as Metal Gear Solid 3 has been released in 06 in some shape or form, it will win GoTY for PS2 from me. Just as i proclaimed MGS to be the best non-RPG game to be made for the PS, MGS3 takes that title for the PS2. It's my favorite one in the series and it truly deserves to be here in the form of MGS3: Subsistence. Much more so than that dissapointment of the year, Final Fantasy XII. This is coming from a huge FF fanboy now mind you, but you'd have to be pretty damn blind not to see the overwhelming faults in FFXII that absolutely destroy it's legacy's credability. After beating it a few days ago, I can't remember being that angry at a game I payed money for. I won't go into it here, perhaps if I feel up to it i'll post my feelings in the FFXII thread. Best Xbox 360 game - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I've only played a little bit of it at a friend's house, and already I believe it should be GoTY for Xbox360. I've been dying to get it ever since then, but my PC won't support it, I don't have a 360 (and don't want one), and don't have a PS3 (hopefully will by my birthday)...so the anticipation for the time I get to own it finally is killing me. Best Nintendo Wii game - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for pretty much the same reason as GC. Granted I havn't played any other releases for Wii other then Red Steel and Wii Sports (which obviously don't hold a candle to LoZ), but i'm fairly certain none of the other releases could come close either. Best PC game - Most PC games i've been playing this year have not been 06 releases, but i'd nominate The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion having played it for 360. I can't imagine there being much of a difference between the two versions. Game of the Year - I just want to say thank god GS didn't name FFXII GoTY here. I'd probably go with my my choice for PS2 just because i have more love for MGS3 then any of the others I've played. This is also taking into consideration that I have beaten it multiple times, where as I have not gotten far in LoZ:TP yet and have only played about an hour or two of Oblivion. So it's only fair that I vote MGS3: Subsistence in for my GoTY. So yeah, that pretty much narrows it down to 3 games spanning 6 categories. I loved Gears of War, but just not enough to be better then any of the games on my list here.
Oops, sorry I forgot to officially announce it, but I've removed myself from CAF. Sorry all, but if anyone still wants to use Clyne then feel free. Happy Holidays, all.
Feh, ending the post with "Happy Holidays" makes it sound like you're leaving the board or sumthin. But yes, Happy Holidays to everyone :D As for my status in CAF, I too have been steadily losing interest but I will continue to post I suppose since I still have people to interact with. -
Is the character development really that bad? I was pretty excited for an epic, involving storyline.
Involving...eh, maybe. Epic, nosir. It's a good game, but not on the scale it's hype and anticipation tried to dictate. It's still worth a play I suppose.
-
Well, it's good to see I'm not the only person that notices the lack of depth and background in the majority of characters. I mean it dosn't even seem to make sense for some of them to be on this "adventure" if you can even call it that. I've decided that if this weren't a Square game I probably would have stopped playing it a while ago. Aside from the faulty aspects of the characters themselves the game also lacks in consistent and convincing story progression. It's extremely easy to lose yourself in what's been going on or what is supposed to be going on during the long hours you spend in the field spanning a few maps where it essentially becomes more about farming and EXPing then trying to get more involved in the story. It's no help that the story itself dosn't even seem to unfold in a satisfactory way when it does progress, and this is considering I'm 80 hours into the game. The absolute best features of the game are it's incredible voice acting and script. It is some of the best I've ever heard for a game. Aside from that, of course the graphics. I also enjoy the initial seemingly simple battle system that later actually incorporates much complexity in mastering what to do in particular situations. This is something that turns a lot of people off to the game, but I can enjoy the added element of making some of the battles more exhilirating then a normal RPG battle would be. Mind you this does not mean I prefer this over traditional battle systems. I'm merely pointing out one of the changes that worked out well, unlike many others in the game. There is just too many gaps in what should be a proper cohesion of Final Fantasy elements. Much seems to have been sacraficed for the evolution of other aspects, to me it came out overall not worth it.

Charging in toward each other, Falco pulled out his laser blaster and took a few shots. Link blocked them with his shield but left him open for a jumping attack by Falco. Link tried to move his shield in time but was forced back, rolling toward the edge of the main platform. As the lava slowly yet steadily rose, Link looked down and brushed his brow of some minor sweat caused by the intense heat of the stage. "Come on "Hero of Hyrule" if we're being forced to duke it out you should atleast try and make it interesting!" Falco taunted, spinning his blaster around his finger. Link stood on his feet and readied his hand by the small of his back. "Alright then, have some of this!" Link yelled as he tossed his boomerang toward Falco, only to have it reflected back. Link, taking advnatage of the large gap between he and Falco, ran forward and jumped over the returning boomerang and extended his sword downward as he fell upon his opponent. "Gah! Hey, get your own tricks!" Falco said, jumping up to the middle left platform off a recovery. "They work just as well for me!" Link retorted, pulling out his bow. Link took a shot at Falco, as the swift bird jumped out of the way. A hail of arrows followed Falco as he made his way across the entire length of the board, avoiding each one. The lava rose even closer to the main platform now. Falco took notice and dashed forward from the right. Link readied his sword, but between them fell a pokéball; catching both competitor's eye. Link dashed forward as well, it was not a race to get the pokéball. As they closed in, Falco fired a shot at Link's arm, forcing him to block the beam with his shield. Falco swooped in and grabbed the ball, takin advantage of the distraction he had created. "Ha! Now here comes the hurt, punk." Falco said confidently as he threw the ball down to the floor! *** "Goldeen Goldeen!" *** Falco stood in amazement and slapped his forehead. "You gotta be kidding me! Stupid fish!" Falco yelled, attempting to shoot the innocent Goldeen with his laser blaster. Link took a moment to look behind him and noticed a wooden box. He grabbed it while Falco occupied himself with the futile annihilation of the water pokemon. "Head's up bird brain!" Link yelled, tossing the wooden box. Falco turned and looked up in time to get knocked in the head with the box. Out from the box spilled a beam sword, a motion sensor, and a fireflower. He rolled back and caught himself before reaching the edge. His tail feathers began to singe however from the level of the lava. 'Yikes!' Falco thought as he leaped up to the top platform. Link noticing as well leapt up after him, but not before grabbing hold of the beam sword. The lava engulfed the entire bottom platform seconds later as Falco stood opposite a dual wielding Link. "Well, that was close. But now you don't have many options for running!" Link said, crossing the two swords into an X shape in front of him. Falco just stood there and smirked. "Yeah, well neither do you. Your sword won't save you from this!" yelled the pompous arwing pilot, as he began to engulf himself in a protective fire. Link's eyes widened as he realized Falco was going for the Fire Bird move. Link, thinking quickly tossed the beam sword forward into Falco; only for it to bounce off and hit the floor as the flames took full form. "Too late!" Falco yelled as he charged forward ramming roughly into Link, sending him flying backward and up in the air. Link freefalled onto the middle left platform, feeling the intense heat from the lava only a couple of feet below him. Falco smiled confidently as another pokéball fell from the sky, landing before Falco's feet. Link stood and looked up at his opponent, now tossing the ball up and down in his own hand. "Ha, THIS time I promise you it won't be a stinken Goldeen!" Falco exclaimed, as he tossed it down to the ground. *** "SCIZOOOOR!" *** Link adjusted his stance, he knew he needed to somehow get out of the Scizor's line of motion while keeping away from the lava beneathe him. Falco just looked on with a smug look. -
As with many games, I find myself underleveld and stuck I'll be back later once I can remember exactly where I'm stuck XD
I felt under leveled a bit as well, before getting up to the Cathedral Ship. I spent quite some time in there (much to my dismay, since i hate that place) leveling up and exping like hell. There are some other great moments to get good and quick exp as well. Like the
Gnosis invasion of the Kukai Foundation, just walk in and out of someplace and all the enemies respawn. Of course this means take your time finding all the people you need to get out of there.

White, I just love you for using me as an example... you just stole my heart yet again. :D Anyways, BK, I'm starting to wonder if me fighting against your character was just pure coincidence or you want to actually spar against me. ;D Just to let you know, I'm not going to back down from this; I'll show you that I'm worth fighting as Link. Let's bring it on, my friend. Okay, my speech is over. :P
Feh *flicks hand at*, bring it oooon. I'ma smash you gewd. =P. I shall be making my post later in the day (as I have much to do in the near coming hours concerning the holidays). In addition I also wanted to add this: clicky clicky. It's some info on the main antagonist I am using for the RP, for those who are not familiar with Super Mario RPG or might have just forgotten. -

TheResplendent replied to TheResplendent's topic in Theater
Yes, they all go on at once. As for number of posts, since I was unclear about it in the thread, for this chapter I'll allow a pre-fight post per person. The actual 3 posts allowed won't start until the actual fighting begins (at the discretion of whoever starts the fight, once it starts then it's on). So for example if White's first post is initiating the fight with Mewtwo, Deathsye's first post will be his first of the 3 spar posts. For the following chapters the particular number of posts required to end a spar will begin directly after the matches are announced (they will be different depending on the type of match). -

Well the fact that I was able to get one more sign up (I'm trusting Ikillion to get it up) fixed the problem really. Rather then things being elimination style though since we don't have a lot of participants, it will just work on a point system through 3 chapters. Whoever wins gets a point for their team, and they will be placed in different matches each chapter and whichever team has more points will face off in a battle royale. I feel bad you had to be left out Allamorph but I wanted to give Ikillion some time so he could participate with the rest of us. There should be a couple of team battles in chapter 2, then chapter 3 will be a bit different from the rest. Hopefully we get that far =). -
Matt turned into the usual pizzeria before hitting his apartment, ordering 2 slices with extra garlic powder. It was a small shop, normally for take out but there were 8 stools set up at the counter for people who wanted to eat there. As he ate, Forseti was nowhere to be found. Two more people walked in, looking to be males in their late teens or early twenties. One of them brushed into Matt's shoulder rather roughly, albeit by accident. "Hey, you could say excuse me you know." Matt said, taking another bite. The two stopped and looked at him in a puzzled way. "What was that? Alright buddy, what are you going to do about it?" the shorter one said, walking up to get in Matt's face. "Now now, I'm not trying to pick a fight. Just saying that it was rude of you not to..." The rest of Matt's pizza was slapped out of his hands before he could finish speaking, as the shorter man's friend starting laughing hysterically. 'Hm, these guys are definitly doped up.' Matt thought to himself as he stood up. "Oh!? What are you gonna do? You gonna beat us up? Or maybe, your gonna kill us? HAHAHAHAHA!" Matt narrowed his eyes a bit. "Well now, I wouldn't push that if I were you." Matt said, laughing a bit to himself. The others laughed with him, as if they were all high off of that goofy gas you get at the dentist. The other two left leaving Matt standing beside his pizza on the floor. "Hey, Matt! Don't worry about it, i'll get you another slice on the house alright...they aren't usually like that..." Joe, the shop owner said. Matt started out the door, following them as closely as possible with his eyes, comitting to memory their facial features. Finally he turned around to Joe. "Joe, are they regulars here? I hardly ever see them." Matt asked, taking the slice he had put out for him. "Huh? Oh yeah, they usually come in earlier then you. Guess they were a little high or something. Those guys are into all kinds of that nasty shit." "Do you know their names?" Matt asked calmly. "Yeah, the short one is Tony Ciracco and his friend is Marcus Soto. Tony is the son of David Ciracco you know." Joe answered, whipping up some more dough for the next pie. "David Ciracco? The owner of the Chrystler Building?" Matt asked, slightly curious. "Yeah, the same. Don't ask me how he turned out like that, but I guess it's tough when your dad is a big shit in the city." Matt put a subtle and unsettling smile on his face as he grabbed his bag and tossed it over his shoulder. He threw his empty plate out in the garbae pal nearby and started walking out. "Thanks, Joe. I'll see ya on Monday." Matt said, waving behind him. Halfway to the subway station, Forseti appeared beside Matt. His usual posture, his usual stoic demeanor. "The Chrystler Building, is it important?" "Oh it's one of New York City's busiest metropolitan centers, along with being the world's tallest building in the early 1930s...it's safe to say if Mr. Ciracco lost his precious son, it might cause quite a commotion." Forseti turned his head slightly toward him, still no change in facial expression...though the only part of his face that was revealed were his eyes. "So you will use it?" "Oh why not...it might even make the news. After all i was feeling a bit left out with all of these stories of people's deaths being shown on the news...and none of them because of me." Matt said with a grin on his face, as he and Forseti descended into the subway to wait for the 4 train back to Brooklyn. "You humans are indeed odd creatures sometimes." "Ha, that's a real insult coming from someone with a wrapped up face, golden eyes, and a pair of gray wings, isn't it?" Matt said laughing to himself, as Forseti just kept silent. The train arrived, as both stepped in. * * * * * OOC: Woot, living in New York gives me the advantage of detail lol. As a disclaimer, David Ciracco is not the real owner of the chrystler building, after all this is a fictitious time :P.

OOC: Ikillion has informed me that he will be signing up as Pikachu following the completion of his finals sometime tomorrow. So I will be able to make an even 2 teams of 5. His match will be a chapter 2 fight so i can include him on a team right now and give him time to participate at the same time. Also I chose the team names based on colors because that's how it's done in the game, by all means use the underground thread to discuss a possible team name change if you want :P. * * * * * The last of the Melee forces arrived at Star Hill, each questioning to themselves and each other why they have been summoned like this. The Great Fox makes it's landing at last as the others turn to view the ship. Falco steps out and affixes his laser blaster to his waist after a twirl. "Mario! What's going on here? What's this grave threat you've been going on about in these letters?" Falco asked, crossing his arms and giving the nintendo front man a glare. "We're about to find out." was his response, as something began to fall from the sky overlooking Star Hill. The shine from a blade was the first thing that came into view for the melee combatants, it was followed by the giant blade itself. It seemed like a sword, spanning the size of a large building. It's hilt had an intimidating demon like face embedded in it. Riding atop it, a barrel chested man with a luxurious looking white beard that covered the entirety of his collar. In his right hand, a giant blacksmith's hammer. "Smithy! You rotten scumbag! I thought we took care of you for good!" Bowser yelled, gritting his teeth. "Haha! Yes, so you thought. It's good to see you Mario...and you too, lizard king. I'm glad to see you've arrived already. Though I was expecting more than this...it seems your allies could care less about what happens to their worlds!" Smithy said with a laugh. "Mario, who the heck is this guy?" Falco asked, with an unimpressed look on his face. "Smithy...the sword is Exor. Me, the princess, and Bowser fought him some tie ago! But he's back!" was Mario's answer. "Man...it's biiiig!" Kirby said, putting his puffy hands up to his eyes to block the glare of the starlight off the blade. "Ha! If you are done, I'll explain to you why you are here. You remember my faithful ship Exor. Well, being the talented blacksmith that I am...I've decided to use up our long time of absence creating an army of them! Hahahaha!" "There's...more than 1 of those things?" the soft voice of the Princess Zelda said. Yes, and there is one for each of your worlds! Your refusal to participate, or in the event that you lose this tournament may result in some unfortunate circumstances befalling your precious homes! Hahaha, now if you would all be so kind as to listen up...I will announce your teams and the first matches to take place!" Smithy said, followed by more evil laughter. "Hmph, it would seem we have no choice." Lord Marth spoke.
