11:20 AM: Party of two, but is three a crowd? On the way to the assembly. - - - - - - - - Kyosuke and Sakura walked out of the infirmary together waving to the others. Kyo looked over at Sakura, she still looked a little pissed off and she was clearly being silent toward him despite having told him to go with her. He knew that she had a reason to be upset, he wasn't about to deny it. He remembered that he had decided to apologize to her when he had the chance, he intended on doing so. Kyosuke walked a bit ahead of Sakura so he could stop infront of her, but before he could Sakura broke the silence. "Hows your shoulder?" she said softly, without turning her glance. Kyosuke slowed down a bit to keep with Sakura's pace, he was taken by surprise since he figured she was upset. "It's...it's better. Nurse Mallon said it would take 2 weeks to fully heal. Hopefully that will be enough time before the trials." Sakura nodded and let out an "uh huh". Kyosuke looked over at her again...he couldn't stand seeing Sakura sad, she had such a vibrant smile...one that had always been able to cheer him up. Kyosuke tried again to get an apology out, but Sakura seemed to be able to pinpoint when he was. "We better hurry, the infirmary is quite far from the auditorium...it's probably half full by now" she said in the same tone, again not changing her glance. Kyo narrowed his eyes and decided if he didn't act he wasn't going to get the chance to later. He reached over and grabbed Sakura's arm, stopping her. "Sakura, stop..." "Kyosuke! It's ok...just forget it..." Sakura said, cutting him off. "No! I have to say this." Kyosuke said, suddenly pulling Sakura into him wrapping his arms around her in a hug. Sakura was taken by surprise, as she was pressed up against Kyosuke's larger frame. "I know how I can get, and so do you...but that isn't an excuse. I'm sorry, i shouldn't have shoved you away like I did. Your one of the few people here that actually understand me...which is why I know eventually you would have forgiven me after some time...but i needed you to know that i was sorry" Kyosuke voice had the most sincere tone to it, Sakura recognized it...she had heard it before and was relieved because it meant that he meant it. She was a bit suprised because Kyosuke had never come straight out and apologized like that before. But she was also happy. It was the equivalent to people saying "I love you" in a long relationship...each of them knows that they are loved, but saying it straight out is the ultimate elation. Sakura felt that concerning her and Kyosuke's friendship, neither one of them wanted to lose the other, especially for stupid reasons. Sakura closed her eyes and rested her head against his chest for a few moments. "I would have forgiven you either way your right...but i guess you just earned yourself a free way out of a good beating...that's all" Sakura said, beaming a smile at Kyosuke. Kyosuke returned it, feeling relieved that he didn't have to see her upset anymore. "Now, i think we should get to the assembly...the Headmaster said it was very important, it would look pretty bad if two of the academy's top students were late" Sakura said, slowly parting himself from Kyosuke. "You go on ahead...i'll be right there. I want to go make sure Ayame heard the announcement," Kyosuke said. "Oh...Ayame...well, hurry up ok?" Sakura said, placing her hand up to her chin. Kyosuke nodded and assured Sakura that he would make it. Kyosuke ran down the hall toward the dorms, Sakura watched him and let her eyes wander around a bit before continuing on. 11:30 - - - - - - - - Kyosuke made the last left turn and found himself infront of Ayame's dorm room. He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Kyo waited a bit, then knocked on it again...but no answer again. 'Is she in there? Maybe she already went...' he thought to himself. Kyosuke went to turn the knob expecting it to be locked...but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. The knob turned and to Kyosuke's suprise it eased right open. 'Huh!?' he thought to himself. The door swung open and Kyosuke took a look around. He didn't see anything except a few articles of clothing layed out across the floor. He walked in slightly, reluctant at first not liking the idea of barging in without permission. He looked over at one of the beds and noticed Ayame's school uniform layed out. Kyosuke then realized that she was probably showering and decided to quickly sneak out before she noticed. Before he could take a step though, the bathroom door opened and Ayame walked out with nothing but a towel wrapped around her. Kyo stopped short in his tracks, as Ayame looked up and noticed him there. "Um! I uh...i was...I wanted to...come, i mean...come make sure you knew about the assembly!" Kyosuke tripped a bit over his words, not really being able to keep his eyes from wandering but closed them before she noticed too much. Ayame grew red and pink in so many shades it looked like a color by number book. She froze up in place and didn't really know what to do. Kyosuke spun around as quick as he could to keep him from looking. A long silence filled the room since Kyosuke's opening line, Ayame stood there frozen thinking to herself 'Oh my god, Oh my god, did he see me? Of course he saw me! Oh boy...how embarrasing....but...did he like what he saw? Ack! Why am i thinking about that!? I can't believe this...what do i say, what do i say?' "I uh...i came to make sure you knew able the announcement. Headmaster Enteri has called a mandatory meeting in the auditorium." Kyosuke managed to say. He opened his eyes and noticed a calendar straight ahead of him on the wall. At this point he was looking for anything to distract his attention. He noticed something written about a birthday 2 months off, it was too small to read the name though. "Oh...wow, i wouldn't have even known if you didn't come. Um...i'll get dressed!" Ayame said, realizing how important it was to be at that meeting. She slowly dropped her towel, figuring Kyosuke probably wasn't going to be turning around anytime soon. She eased into her scool uniform still a few shades of red from being naked only feet away from Kyosuke, even if he did have his back turned. Kyosuke meanwhile tried to get a better look at the calendar. "Oh...um, whos birthday is marked down over there" Kyosuke said, pointing to the calendar. "Oh! It's mine...I turn 18 in two months." Ayame said a little relieved that something that was easy to talk about was brought up. "Really!? It looks like i'll have to get two gifts pretty soon. Sakura's birthday is next week." Kyosuke said, as the tension started to ease off. Upon a closer look, Kyosuke noticed Ayame's signiture smiley face above the writing and figured he probably could have found out himself that it was her birthday marked on the calendar. Ayame walked up to Kyosuke a bit, now fully dressed but stopped short. "We can go now...it wouldn't be good if we were late." Ayame said, leaning over a bit toward him. Kyosuke turned around and saw her standing there dressed in her uniform, her hair still wet from the shower. Kyosuke looked at his watch and noticed that almost 25 minutes had passed since the announcement. "We better hurry...come on." Kyosuke said. The two students rushed out the door and headed for the auditorium. ooc: Was gonna wait and make a post taking place after the announcement, but figured i could throw this in there too. Didn't really have a lot of time to explain kyo and sakura's friendship in detail so i thought it would be better to showcase it through what happened. ooc2: Thought i'd get those pretty close up birthdays mentioned :P, even if we don't RP during that time period.

11:20 AM: The students are summoned, the Headmaster's address. - - - - - - - - Kyosuke, Sakura, Carrot, Aaron, Stephen, Alex, and Lazarus all waited in the Infirmary, as Havok helped Rinoa back in. "Rinoa, you did great!" Stephen greeted her. Rinoa just smiled at everyone, while Havok served as her shoulder to lean on. Nurse Mallon took Rinoa from Havok and added some styptic to the wound. She assured everyone that she would do just fine. "Not really sure what I missed, but I guess the rumors i've been hearing about that incident last night turned out to be true" Stephen said as he noticed the bandages on Kyosuke's shoulder, as well as Alex and Lazarus's injures. "They have the basement guarded pretty tight. A lot of instructors and security are roaming around the halls too...I wonder if this is the first time something like this has ever happened in the academy?" Havok said, referring to the years before he was enrolled. "Not in the 11 years i've been here. It's understandable that they would be taking this quite seriously." Kyosuke added. The students continued to talk about things while waiting for Rinoa to be treated, when suddenly the academy PA system went active. The voice coming over, none other than Headmaster Enteri himself. "Attention students and faculty, this is Headmaster Enteri speaking. May I have your attention please. There will be a mandatory campus wide meeting for all students and faculty to be attended immdietley in the auditorium. There will be several major announcements, which everyone in attendance will be required to hear. Next period's classes are cancelled as well as the others proceeding the meeting. Please be dressed in academy uniforms, and do not be tardy. Thank you, and see everyone there" Everyone looked at each other, then at the time. It read 11:25 AM. "A big meeting. Guess we better get going." Sakura said, motioning for Kyosuke to go with her. "See everyone there I guess" Aaron said, as the students began to go about their business.

10:57 AM: The students watch the fight quietly, as Rinoa proves her resolve. - - - - - - - - Kyosuke and the others looked on through window as the girls began to surround Rinoa. Concern was evident on Havok's face, but he also couldn't bring himself to hit a female so he was unsure on how he could even be able to help Rinoa is he could. Kyosuke noticed a few of the girls and his face lost color and he looked over at Havok with a blank look. "Um...Havok...you said earlier that Rinoa got smacked because of me...would those by chance be the girls?" Kyosuke asked, his glasses slightly low on his nose. "Yeah...that's them...i didn't know they would take it so serious though." Havok answered, still looking on. Kyosuke smacked his forehead. 'Ugh...I hate those girls...last year they even tried to break into my dormroom to steal my boxers!' Kyosuke thought to himself. Sakura looked down and wondered if Rinoa was going to be ok if they all decided to jump her rather then for it to be a fair fight. "My goodness! Aren't any of you going to go down there to help Miss Ryazuki?" Nurse Mallon asked, pleading to the other students. "No," Kyosuke said right away. "Even during the impending trials and final exam where teamwork is emphasized. We will not always be able to help one another out. Self-reliance through fighting is essential for Risk Breakers as well. It's best if we let her take care of herself" Havok looked over at Kyosuke after his explanation, at first as if to say "but it's your fault this is happening anyway!" but eventually came around and realized that Kyosuke couldn't have helped it. He also knew from the past that eventhough Kyosuke can be a prick to people, he was a very good judge of character. His words allowed him to believe in Rinoa even more. "Hey! Rinoa! You can do it!..." The other students ran and tackled Havok and covered his mouth before he could finish what he had to say. "Hey! Love sick puppy! Shut your trap or else you'll distract her!" Carrot yelled, as the students let him back up and continued to watch. Rinoa clutched the sheath of her blade close and tried to think of a way out of it. As she became surrounded though she was beggining to believe that fighting was the only way she was going to get out of it. She slowly went to draw her blade out but Ayumi ran forward at her and slashed at her, causing her to roll on the floor toward one of the other girls that were encircling her. She looked up at the girl she rolled, who sneered down at her, as the others laughed. Rinoa tried to get up but she was kicked square in the chest by the other girl. "Hey! That was dirty!" Sakura yelled, obviously protesting the lack of honor. Rinoa clutched her chest and rested on her knees, trying to keep the pain in but moans and huffing sounds escaped her mouth, much to the delight of Ayumi. "Come on little girl, pick your sword up and face me!" Ayumi yelled at her, kicking Rinoa's sword closer to her encouraging her to pick it up. Rinoa looked up at her, still holding herself in pain...but she knew she had to fight back...she knew she had to defend herself and show that she can be strong too. She would be the laughing stock of the risk breaker class if she was the only one that couldn't pass the trial. Biting her bottom lip, Rinoa reached out and grasped the hilt of her sword. "Oooh! Look! She's going to fight back it lookd like!" one of the other girls in the group said. Sakura turned her attention from the window and glared at Kyosuke. "Kyo i certainly hope your not actually attracted to those kinds of girls!" she yelled, somewhat speaking out of emotion. "Wha...what!? Are you crazy? They're more rabid than a wolverine!" Kyo shot back, clearly voicing his discontent for his supposed fangirl club. Back in the garden, Rinoa was standing fully now staring Ayumi down encircled by the other girls. She narrowed her eyes and tried to draw strength from her friends. She thought about all the times she saw Havok training with his twin blades, how focused he could be in battle. She remembered the collective elemental seminars with all the elemental students...she recalled Sakura's great whirlwinds, Kyosuke's amazing particle control with his ice. She may not have known everyone too well but she payed attention enough to know that she had to become stronger than she was. "You ready now?" Ayumi said in a taunting manner. "Yeah! So come on then!" Rinoa yelled, throwing caution into the wind. The two girls charged at each other, swords clashing and footsteps adorned the area as the atmosphere grew tense with every passing clash. Rinoa blocked a horizontal slash from Ayumi but was slightly pushed back. 'No! I can't lose....i can't be weak!' Rinoa repeated to herself again and again. Rinoa thruster her sword, but Ayumi sidestepped and kicked her hand up, leading Rinoa open for a shot. Ayumi shoulderblocked Rinoa back and just laughed, feeling superior enough not to even use her sword. Rinoa held her shoulder, but stayed focused. 'I can't lose...I can't lose...!!' she continued to repeat to herself. 11:00 AM: Enter Argo Arx Arcanum's #1 supporter and playboy - - - - - - - - - The other students watched on intently, as Stephen walked into the infirmary only to see everyone (including Nurse Mallon) watching something outside the window. "Uhh...hiya..." "SHHHHHH!" came the cohesive voice of everyone in the room. "Yikes!...what's going on anyhow?" Stephen asked, as he walked up to the window as well. "Hmmm...chick fight eh? Not bad, anything good happen?" he asked in a light tone. Havok turned to him with a concentrated stare. "Hey playboy, watch what you say around me, ok?" Stephen backed up a bit from Havok feeling too much tension then he cared to deal with. He just started to quietly watch with the rest of the group. Rinoa had been taking quite a beating, but she refused to give up. She charged again and slashed at Ayumi, but Ayumi dodged and slashes Rinoa's left arm causing the first drop of blood to spill. Rinoa lifted her arms to attack again, which is when she noticed the cut...she was focused on atleast gettin a hit in atleast at this point so much that she ignored the pain it caused. Rinoa looked intently at Ayumi, and seemed to be gathering more stamina. She didn't exactly know what was happening but she could feel her adrenaline kicking in. She had plenty of energy left and she was definitly going to show Ayumi that she isn't one to be messed with! Rinoa charged again, with a grin Ayumi just moved...but Rinoa stopped herself short and spun to the right and slashed down at Ayumi's leg. Ayumi caught herself in time and jumped but was met by Rinoa who jammed the hilt of her sword into Ayumi's side. The other girls acted suprised, but Ayumi just turned and slashed at Rinoa again. Rinoa ducked and parried her blade away leaving a large enough opening to kick Ayumi down to the ground. "Man...where did she get that burst of energy?" Havok wondered out loud. "It seems she had a strong enough resolve that won't allow her to lose. She may have to work on her skills a bit, but from the way this is looking...it may not be that hard of a task for her." Kyosuke deduced, pushing his glasses up. "I knew you were strong, Rinoa...just don't give up!" Havok thought to himself, with a smile on his face.

9:58 AM, Party of two: Kyo and Aya search for something precious. - - - - - - - - Kyosuke and Ayame landed in the basement where the Mox incident had taken place almost 7 hours ago. Daiya jumped up and rested on Ayame's shoulder while Kyosuke tried to regain his balance from the teleportation. Ayame giggled silently to herself but stayed quiet as she began to look around for the cross. Kyosuke searched with a frantic sense evident in his eyes. Clearly it's purpose was very important to him. Kyosuke took one step and almost collapsed on the floor. Kyo fell to his knees and tried to hold himself up with his hands. Ayame saw and rushed to his side with a gasp. "Kyo! Maybe you should let me..." "No...i'm fine. I couldn't ask you to do this for me, it's my responsibility" Kyosuke said, cutting Ayame off. Kyo clutched his shoulder and tried to stand himself back up. Ayame wore a concerned look on her face but didn't outwardly express it. She thought about how she would be acting if she were in his place, she considered herself to be a much weaker person than that. She then began to remember how bad she felt when she realized all she had done against Mox was get tossed away when Kyosuke, Alex, and even Lazarus put their lives on the line. Daiya noticed Ayame's saddened face and cuddled up to her neck trying to cheer her up. Ayame hugged him, appreciative but found it not very helpful. Kyosuke walked up to a wall and leaned himself on it, starting to regret making the decision to get out of bed so quickly. He turned to Ayame and noticed her sad look as well. He assumed it was due to being back in the basement, he knew she hated it. "Ayame, theres no need for you to stay here if you don't want to...i will be fine searching on my own," Kyo told her, catching her by suprise. Ayame jolted up from her "in thought" trance and looked at him. "Oh!...um...I don't mind," she managed to mutter. Diaya noticed how unusually quiet Ayame had gotten, and from being with her for so long recognized the situation she normally acts that way in. Daiya laughed to himself a bit and kept silent. "Are you sure?" Kyosuke asked, unconvinced the first time. Ayame just nodded her head, and threw on a smile. She was smiling, but her mind couldn't stop with so many thoughts going through it. Kyo continued to look around for the cross but couldn't find it anywhere. Ayame looked over at Kyo and watched silently, forgetting that she should probably help to look for the cross. She recognized the chipped area on the wall near where Kyo was standing, the scene it occured from flashed through her mind. She remembered the extreme drop in temperature she felt. She saw in her mind Kyosuke standing tall, manipulating the atmosphere to his will. She had sat in on a few ice elemental classes before when she had free time and never once saw what Kyosuke had done. Curiosity began to get the best of her, and she was beggining to wonder if she should start making conversation or not. For some reason she felt it was harder then it was before to speak up around him. Daiya leaped off her shoulder sometime during her train of thought, though she hadn't noticed. Ayame stood up and tried to look around a bit to kill some more time before she said something to Kyosuke. Finally she just decided to bring up the first thing that came to her head. "Um!...Kyo? Can I ask you something?" she mustered out in a low tone voice. "What is it?" Kyosuke answered, still looking around through the debris. "Oh...well...that magic you used against Mox. It was...pretty incredible. Did you really learn that at the academy? " she asked, still pretending to look around so Kyosuke didn't think she was nervous in any way. Meanwhile Daiya pawed through some debris and took the chain connected to Kyosuke's lost cross into his mouth. ''Boy, what would everybody do without Daiya around to be the observant one?' the small cat like creature thought to himself, as he scurried over to Ayame to show her the cross. "Well, the academy has mainly taught me how to control and contain my magic. I was first able to form icicles as well as other solid ice forms when i was 6 years old. Since coming to the academy over a decade ago, i've matured my magic abilities and made them battle worthy...or...so I thought..." Kyosuke said, decreasing the tone of his voice as he neared the end of his sentence, remembering again his failure to stop Mox. Ayame noticed that she had brought up a subject that made Kyosuke feel bad and started hitting herself mentally. 'No no no, Ayame you idiot! Oh boy, i just shouldn't have said anything...' she thought to herself. She tried to rebound herself in hopes that she could cheer Kyo up. "Hey! Don't feel bad! Think about it...Mox was a professor of the academy...his black magic was really strong! Plus all you really gotta do is keep at it and you'll be able to kick major ass with your magic!" she said in a burst of excitement, hoping it helped a little. Kyosuke glanced downward, he knew Ayame would never be able to understand how he felt. He needed to be the best not only for himself, but for his family name. The Orias name was well known throughout both continents because of his father's power, both magical and diplomatic. He wanted badly to create his own name, one that would lead up to creating his own legacy. Kyosuke's high expectations of himself were near impossible to duplicate. He looked over at Ayame, and just smiled at her. In turn it made Ayame smile, whether or not she really had cheered him up seeing his smile was enough for her. She just told herself that next time she would cheer him up for sure, giving up wasn't in Ayame's vocabulary. She figured her last chance to try and cheer him up for sure would be to find his cross. It was then Daiya leaped up to her shoulder again and dropped it into her hands. "Here dummy! Now give it to him....the cross I mean!" Daiya said with a grin on his face. Ayame looked over at him and couldn't help herself... "Daiya! You and your naughty mind!" she said suprised, but then turned to Kyosuke who just kind of stared blankly at her. Ayame grew red like a tomato and sunk her head down in embarrasment. Daiya smacked the back of her head with his tail, causing her to remember the cross. "Oh! By the way Kyosuke, is this the cross?" she asked, holding it out in her hands. "You found it!" Kyosuke said in an excited tone, as he struggled to drag himself over to her. Ayame rushed herself over to him to try to keep him from doing as much moving as possible. She handed it over, Kyosuke reached out and their hands met. Her smaller hand, smooth in texture cupped inside of his as she dropped the cross into it. She looked up at him and into his eyes, she started to get red again and quickly turned her focus downwards. With the cross still in Kyosuke's hand, she noticed the inscriptions and became curious again. "Hey Kyo, whats with the inscriptions on the cross? Luna...Wisdom...Ice...and Water? Hmmmm...i can't seem to read the rest.. "My father gave it to me...I'm not sure what the importance of the inscriptions are but i can only read....Wait! Did you say water!?" Kyosuke said, in sudden shock that she had read one of the inscriptions he could not. "Huh? Oh yeah! That one right there *points to the second one from the bottom*, it's the ancient symbol for the water element...the one that corresponds to the alchemic planetary system." she said again, with a smile on her face. She felt smart telling Kyosuke something that he didn't know. "But...i've studied almost my whole time here to find what these symbols mean...are you sure that's what it is?" "Uh huh! But you won't find it in any books...these symbols haven't been used for centuries. The only reason I know of it is because of what i've seen in my mind...and my dreams. I see the symbol all the time when i use my water magic as well." "Dreams...? You...see the symbol?" Kyosuke asked in a perplexed manner. "I don't really know why myself, but Instructor Iraki told me that it's normal...he even described what it looks like to me and it matched up, so it must be it!" Ayame said with an assuring look on her face. Kyosuke stared at the cross for a few moments, wondering how something like that had eluded him all these years. He finally knew another inscription on the cross that his father gave him...he needed to find out the other 4 now. He ran over in his mind how he came to realize the others, he had seen Wisdom and Luna in the books that his father used to read. He remembered Ice because...wait...he remembered what Ayame said about seeing it in his mind. Kyosuke retraced time and went back to when he had his stand off with Mox...it was there! He saw the symbol for ice that was etched into his cross. He must have seen it from the past times he had used his ice magic as well which is why it came to him. It made sense since he couldn't remember a single book he had ever seen the symbol in...could it really be the ancient alchemic planetary symbols for the elements? "I'm glad you have your cross again, Kyo!" Ayame said, clasping her hands behind her back and swinging her right leg around. "Yeah...thanks to you, Ayame. Thank you...very much." Kyosuke said, this time beaming a sincere smile toward her. Ayame began to feel all warm inside for doing something helpful. "We should get going now...i think it was this way," Kyosuke said, leading Ayame toward the exit. Up a few stairs they noticed some academy security and instructors infront of the doorway. Kyosuke extended his arm and stopped Ayame, she looked up and saw them too. "Well...I guess it's to be expected. Considering what happened and all..." Kyosuke said quietly to himself. "It's no problem, Daiya can just teleport us out!" Ayame said, aimed toward Daiya. Daiya nodded and spread his paws out between Ayame and Kyosuke and had transported them back to the infirmary. The students suddenly appearing startled Alex and Lazarus a bit, coming out of thin air and all. Kyosuke and Ayame's appearence cut Alex and Lazarus's conversation short. "What the...well, you guys are back then!?" Alex said, leaning a bit back in his chair. "Yes...i just needed to retrieve my cross...where are the others?" Kyosuke asked, looking around the room. "To look for you two, we've been sitting her talking since then" Lazarus said. Kyosuke sighed, hoping that they could have done it without alerting anyone else. Suddenly pain began to set in again as Kyosuke grabbed his shoulder and fell to his knees again. The other students went to check on him, but again kyosuke tried to stand himself back up on his own. "SO, there you are! young man you have some explaining to do! You too Miss Ayame!" the voice of Nurse Mallon said, coming from the doorway.

Discuss Citius Altius Forttis [The Underground][M-VLS]
TheResplendent replied to Doublehex's topic in Theater
I guess heres Kyosuke's. No particular time, just figured they are all at the same times. Class 1: Summoning class with Instructor Uzume Class 2: Weapons training class with Instructor Cavalier Class 3: Elemental Magi Mastery class (figure i'd throw in an advanced class to go with Kyo's personality) with Instructor Reyes Class 4: Ice Elemental class with Instructor Marax Assuming by the looks of it, Support magic classes are rather early in the morning, followed up by the summoning classes, so for the summoners i guess those classes are in the same time slot as the support magic classes. Followed up by weapons training class. I tossed in the advanced elemental class for Kyo (and i guess Sakura would also be in it as well) which i guess would be in the same time slot as the blue magic class. Then The ice elemental class in the late afternoon. Then i guess lunch at the same time as everyone else. Also since ice elemental and the advanced elemental instructors have yet to be revealed i just tossed in some names. -
The clock read 9:40 as the two young medics attempted to help the injured. - - - - - - - - - After explaining what she had heard from Nuse Mallon, Carrot made her way slowly over to Kyosuke's bed. She glared down at him, he was awake but stiff as a statue. He hadn't payed a single bit of attention to what had been going on in the room for the last half hour. Carrot shook her head and though to herself 'Hmph, maybe a good ass kicking was what he needed to finally bring him down off his high horse' Carrot reluctantly placed her hand on Kyosuke's shoulder to try and ease the pain further with her support magic, but her hand was fluently slapped away by Kyosuke, who turnes his head to her with a deeply annoyed look on his face. "Hey! What the hell! I'm trying to help you, you know? It's not like I want to either, i'm doing it because I'm a support magic student! You could at least let me help then we don't have to see each other again for the whole damn day, ok!?" Carrot screamed, trying her way of reasoning. "Leave me alone, just get out of here." Kyosuke answered, narrowing his eyes at her. Carrot groaned and shoved the curtain out of her way as she stormed through it. "FINE! I don't care, lay there in pain!" she yelled as she turned around in time to bump into another female student. Carrot looked her up and down and let out a frustrated sigh. "Hmph, your infallible hero is in there!" Carrot said to Sakura, pointing to where Kyosuke was laying. She shoved Sakura's shoulder back while passing by her and went over to Aaron who was trying to treat Lazarus with some pain killing medicine. Sakura turned behind her and motioned that she would be right back to Rinoa and Havok. "Wait! I want to see him..." Rinoa said with her hands clasped together. "I won't be too long...I just want to see him alone for a couple of minutes," Sakura answered back. Havok put his hands on Rinoa's shoulders and convinced her to let Sakura go ahead. Sakura pushed through the curtains and saw Kyosuke laying there with a wrapped up shoulder and a bitter look on his face. She knew what was going through his mind now, but after hearing what she had heard about what happened she was more upset then ever. "Look at you...what were you guys thinking!?" Sakura started to say as she walked up to his bedside. Kyosuke just shifted his eyes toward her for a few seconds, then back to his normal focus. "Don't you have anything to say to me, Kyosuke!?" she said in an insistent tone. "Ayame...is she alright?" Kyosuke asked. "What? Yes...she's alright, Carrot tended to her before...she seems to be a bit dizzy but she's awake and fine," Sakura said, a bit confused. "...and Alex?" Kyosuke continued. "He's in worse shape than she is...but he should also be fine. Nurse Mallon said that all of you are going to be alright," Sakura assured him. "Good...now leave me alone." Sakura's eyes almost teared up at those words, as she thrusted her face at his. "Don't talk to me like that! How do you want me to feel after hearing you put yourself in a situation where you could have gotten killed!? I know what your going through now it isn't anything new, Kyosuke! You feel sorry for yourself, your angry because you screwed up, well people screw up! Even you! It dosen't make you any less of a person, and it dosen't mean that your useless! If i have to slap you across the face a hundred times to get that through to you I'll do it!" she said in a half angry half upset tone. Kyosuke just glanced up at her, and then back down without saying a word. At that, Sakura stormed out and forgetting Rinoa and Havok was there, accidently bumped into Rinoa. Rinoa looked at her face and saw her trying to hide away her upsetness. She knew Sakura well enough to know she was a very level-headed person, and she was nothing short of impressed of how quickly Sakura is able to calm herself down after certain emotional situations. Still, she felt obligated to do whatever she could...Rinoa just wrapped her arms around Sakura and hugged her. Havok watched them both, and began to grow annoyed. Havok walked through Kyosuke's curtains and looked down at him. "Listen to me man, i'm sure it isn't my place to say anything...but you need to get your head on straight. Sakura really cares about you, and i know how much you care about her. It's not just her either though, we care about you man...me, Rinoa...she only just met you but she considers you a friend. In fact she got smacked today because of you! *sigh* look...I know you probably need time...but you just need to know that when you get out of here...you better apologize to Sakura." Havok finished up and walked back outside. Kyosuke was left with himself thinking about everything that was said to him. He began to think about Rinoa, who had only just met him but he could hear her outside sounding concerned for him...like it was someone in her family that had been injured. He thought about Ayame, and her limp body as it was in his arms at the doorway of the infirmary. He thought about the burst of power Alex had gotten during his battle with Mox, though it ended in defeat for him as well...if it weren't for agamemmnon they could all very well be dead now. Kyosuke wished he could set aside his current feelings, but he's worked so hard for the past decade to be who he is, it was more than painful for him to fail...but what was most painful about this wasn't that he failed in attacking Mox...it was that he failed in protecting his friends. He thought about everyone who had put up with him enough to form an actual friendship. He felt bad about not speaking to Sakura, but Havok was right...he just needed time to think. After that he would definitly apologize to her, he would see Ayame and hope that she would forgive him for not being able to protect them, his views on Lazarus even changed a little, but complete trust was still more than an arm's reach away. Alex...he saw his will to survive against Mox, he knew that what Alex needed to prepare himself for the trials was there...he no longer felt the need to go through with what he had planned. Outside he could hear Aaron and Carrot arguing with one another, as well as supplies dropping and things breaking. He tried to contain himself, but a slight smile came across his face and he let out a sigh. Kyosuke knew what he had to do, he would become better, stronger, and more effecient...for himself and for his friends. Kyosuke reached over to his chest...but felt around a bit before noticing something was missing. A look of concern began to show on his face. "Oh no....my cross! Where did it go!?" he said to himself, as he tried to sit up but was shot back down from the pain. First @ KW - You is one of da cool people now ;P. Second, i guess it's safe to assume that most of us are taking the same type of classes aside from our respective majors and minors, so if i make any other posts involving the classes i'll prolly stick one or two of yas in there with me, heh. Also, DH. You have a certain criteria on how the groups are being chosen yet? Or are we not meant to know yet  Edit: BTW, nice evangelion style post DH ;P. -

I may do a flashback/dream kind of post myself, involving Kyosuke and his father unless the next post already takes place the next day. Also about the element class i just assumed there were classes specific to element as well as a cohesive elemental class. So all together i figured everyone pretty much goes through: 1) Specific element class 2) Collective element class 3) Summoning class 4) Support magic class 5) Blue Magic class 6) Black Magic seminars 7) Weapon training class 8) Magic combining class (referred to once i believe involving blue/support magic) I know Kyosuke's schedule looks like: Class 1: Weapons training class Class 2: Elements class Class 3: Summoning class Class 4: Ice Elemental class -
ooc: Would be difficult for Kyosuke do carry Alex with an injured shoulder but i can probably work it in. - - - - - - - - - - - Blood dripped onto the floor of the hallways from all three male students. It was so late at night, nobody else was awake except the select few night owls who just hung out in their dorm rooms, unaware of what had just happened. The magnitude of the situation had yet to really set in with either of the 4 students that were present for the demise of Mox. They were all too concerned with getting to the infirmary to get their wounds treated. It was unthinkable how powerful Mox really was, Kyosuke and Alex nearly getting killed in exchange for their attack advances if it weren't for Agamemmnon. Though none of them expected it to be easy since he was a certified instructor of the academy. Kyosuke struggled to drag himself along, supporting Alex with his good shoulder and keeping him up. Ayame being carried by Kyosuke's Fenghuang. Kyosuke ignored the pain well enough, giving him enough energy to think back to how he was defeated. His thoughts focused only on how pathetic he felt, though they were slightly decreasing only due to overwhelming fatigue. He could hear Sakura's voice now, yelling at him for getting hurt, then trying to uphold her collected state by not crying after she got her hits in. He would have preferred her not to find out about his injuries. Kyosuke had been injured in the past from sparring, but that was years ago. He has considered himself above needless injuries, but was now forced to second guess himself. Lazarus could barely stand but he managed to stay conscious until reaching the infirmary. A loud thud could be heard in the doorway, as Nurse Mallon walked out of her office to see all 4 students either unconscious or struggling to stay on their feet. "My goodness! What in the world happened to you all!? Your all a mess!" she said while rushing to get them all onto stretchers. Kyosuke helped Mallon get Alex onto one before falling to his knees. He gripped his shoulder and tried his best to convince himself that it didn't hurt. He recalled Fenghuang and eased Ayame into his arms. He placed her onto a stretcher gently and fell again. Something was weird about his wound, that black thread that was shot through him...it was like he was more fatigued then he was before following Daiya. His vision began to blur and he grew weak. "Kyosuke! What in the world have you all been doing? Tell mee..." Nurse Mallon tried to ask, but it all just sounded like incoherent echoes to Kyosuke, who soon collapsed himself. Nurse Mallon's aides rushed and brought all four of the students into the emergency room. Daiya stayed on Ayame's bed and tried to revive her but she had collapsed probably from a mix of the impact she received from Mox and fatigue. Nighttime began to pass as the students received their involountary rest inside the academy's infirmary, under the watchful eye of Nurse Mallon. What would await them upon their awakening? Good thinking on Sandy's part. 2 to add to the list though are Instructor Gillium (female) as head of the summoning department and Instructor Gantz (male) as another summoning instructor (inspired by Argent Eagle's character having a different summoning class then others)...just thought of the names up on the spot. -
Mox walked in and surveyed the area. Kyosuke looked back at Ayame to check on her. She sat up and rubbed her shoulder, Daiya tending to her and standing infront of her in a somewhat protective stance. Lazarus stood with an unsure look on his face, wondering how he would explain everything to Mox. Alex knelt down and asked Ayame if she was alright. Kyosuke stared across at Mox and narrowed his eyes. "You...you are a professor of the academy? Who are you, and what right do you have tossing students about like that? Answer me!" Kyosuke demanded, with his hand rested on the side of the jacket he placed his magi stones. "Lazarus...please do tell me, what is the meaning of all this?" Mox asked, ignoring Kyosuke's question. Kyosuke turned to Lazarus, as the focus had now been placed on him. Mox walked further but Kyosuke quickly changed his focus again on Mox and raised his right hand forward. "I won't ask you again! Do not ignore me," Kyosuke warned. "Wait! Kyosuke, stop," Lazarus pleaded. Lazarus then turned his attention to Mox, "Professor forgive me, i had finished up and i was going to invite them to study for the trials together" Lazarus said, hoping he could convince the professor. "My dear boy, do not insult me by lying so blatantly to my face" Mox responded, thrusting his hand out toward Lazarus causing him to fly backwards passed Alex and Ayame. "Lazarus!" Alex screamed as he watched him fly back. Ayame wore a concerned look on her face as well, despite her own injury. Kyosuke couldn't have been more confused, as he was sure Lazarus had something to do with the entire ordeal. But if he had, why did Professor Mox attack him? All he knew was Mox had attacked two students already unprovoked. He glanced quickly over at Ayame and Daiya and he grew enraged, granted he could have cared less about Lazarus but the fact of the matter was Mox was out of line and that angered Kyosuke. "Now, what do I do with all of..." Suddenly Mox was cut off by a chilling change in the atmosphere. A concentrated decrease in temperature was aimed around the area Mox was in, and blue and white specks of frost began to become visible throughout the room. Alex gripped his arms and tried to keep warm. Ayame was hugging her legs close to her body as Daiya tried to wrap himself around her head to help keep her warm. Lazarus stared up at Kyosuke, who with his arm outstretched toward Mox. "Wha...what is he...such an advanced ice elemental technique!" Lazarus managed to say as he too felt the change in atmosphere, but was more tolerant to it because of his ice inclination as well. The clothing Mox wore began to freeze over, and his facial hair adorned solid pieces of ice. Kyosuke controlled himself and made sure he didn't completely freeze over the entire room. He stared angrily toward Mox and wanted nothing more then to impale him with spikes of ice. Ayame peeked our from her knees at Kyosuke. 'Wow...is that Kyosuke doing this?' she thought to herself. Alex glanced upwards as far as he could as well, and began to realize why Kyosuke had been called a prodigy so often. Mox looked at himself and then toward Kyosuke. He wore a suprised look at first, but then dulled it down to a confident look of laughter. "My my! So THIS is the power of the son of Orias. You are indeed a prodigy, quite impressive. If you were to take the trials and the final exam you'd ace them both with flying colors...but it's regrettable you won't have the chance to prove that" Mox said as he slowly raised his left arm, trying to fight off the frost's hold on his movement. Once he reached a 90 degree angle with his arm from his body, he grinned. "What the hell are you smiling about!? I suggest you turn yourself in to the Headmaster or else i'll be forced to..." Before Kyosuke could fininsh, several threads of some kind of black material shot up from the ground underneathe Kyosuke and wrapped themselves around him, inhibiting his movement and forcing his concentration to break. The atmosphere slowly began to return to normal, as Mox walked up to him. "Kyosuke! What did you do to him!?" Ayame screamed at Mox. "Dammit, a immobility curse!" Lazarus said to himself, as he pulled himself to his feet. "What...is this..." Kyosuke struggled to say. Mox just shrugged and placed his hand on Kyosuke's shoulder. Kyosuke struggled to move but to no avail. He tried again but began to feel a sharp pain in his shoulder, before watching it become impaled by another black thread from the professor's hand. Kyosuke gritted his teeth and tried to refrain from screaming, but the pain in his shoulder was great. Mox raised his other hand but was quickly cut off by a manifested bolt of lightning. Mox jumped back, breaking his concentration on the spell as Kyosuke fell to the floor. Mox looked up at Alex who was gripping his magi stone, aiming it toward Mox. "Lazarus...it's now or never it looks like. I'll hold him off while you summon Agamemmnon!" Alex said, concentrating more into his magi. "Summon Agamemmnon? You dare to summon such a beast to devour me!?" Mox yelled. Daiya scurried over to Kyosuke's fallen body and jumped on his back. In a few seconds Daiya had teleported Kyosuke's body over toward Ayame to make sure he didn't get hurt any more. Alex and Lazarus nodded at each other, knowing that they had no choice but to do the deed now.
Last night as I lay in my bed, I started thinking about the two most important people in my life. I wasn't really thinking, mor like reminiscing about the past. Anyway, I was wondering who the most important person in your life was, and why. There are two people in my life I consider as the most important. The first one is my best friend. Her name is Samantha. We have been best friends sence as long as I can remember, we dated, and we know everything about each other. I will always trust her with anything. Like any good friend, she straitens me out when I need it, and is by my side always. The other person in my life I consider important is my beloved sensei, Sensei Pete. He has been the most father like figure in my life. He has always been there to listen to even the minor problems in my life. This man has always been there for me. I owe him so much.
It seems we have something rather large in common Sojiro, i too have a very close friend named Samantha. She is more definitly one of the most important people in my life. We dated a while back as well, after breaking up though i was lucky enough to have such a strong foundation of friendship with her that it didn't hinder our true relationship. I want nothing more than her unwavering friendship now and i'm happy with where we are now. Out of the group of 5 very close friends to me, she probably knows the most about me (also being the only female of the group probably contributed to that as well). I'm hoping very soon to be able to move out to my own place with her as my roommate, we both need better jobs before we can do that though...heh. The other is a real toss up, but i need to give respect to my mother, as she is really the only member of my family who i really care about. I know how horrible that must sound, but i grew up in a very distant atmosphere between most of my family. My parents got divorced when i was 8 and since then my brother tried to pay more attention to being a father like figure to me then an actual brother, and he still does to this day so that causes a lot of serious problems between us. No other members of my family were really ever there for any big parts of my life or anything of that nature...and ive never had a reason to rely on them. Sorry if that last one sounded too much like a sob story, I didn't mean it to but i just wanted to make sure people didn't think i was some heartless ungreatful person, etc etc.

Kyo looked over at James who had his side turned and arms crossed after his last comment. "My knowledge and what i can do isn't for show, this is an academy to train us to be Risk Breakers, not a circus. You would do well to remember that and maybe you could enhance your own studies," Kyosuke responded in a smug tone. "Hey! I know that...look, if your so smart couldn't you atleast watch me try to summon something and tell me what i'm doing wrong?" James asked, considering it to be his last chance. Kyosuke just continued walking though, halfway down he raised his hand and addressed James. "It's as i already said, i'm busy and i have no time to simply stop and watch a clay shell shatter into pieces." Kyo said. He made the next left turn and approached his dorm room. James smacked his forehead in a frustrated motion and let out a groan. "Man...this is getting really troublesome. This guy's head is harder than a rock and bigger than a hot air balloon. If he's so full of himself he should share some of that knowledge with his fellow students!" James said shaking his fist at where Kyosuke used to be. Realizing is was futile, he started to walk back...when he got an idea that may just work in his favor. "Hey...If i get a personal request from Ms. Gillium, she'll understand a fellow summoning student's plight and even tell Mr. Gantz how determined I am to improve my skills! Then i can just get that know-it-all to tell me what i'm doing wrong and i'll be fine for the trials! Haha, well i guess we'll just wait until tomorrow," James said to himself as he strolled down the hallways. Meawhile, Kyosuke unlocked the door to his dorm and walked in. Kyo threw his bag onto his bed and looked around to notice that his roommate was still out. He started to walk toward the mini-refrigerator to get a bottle of water out but was interuppted by a thud that came from the door. Kyo turned around quickly...but saw nothing. Just the door still hadn't closed yet but was open just a crack. Perplexed, Kyosuke walked toward it and just pushed it closed. 'Odd...' he thought to himself. Kyosuke opened the bottle of water and started walking to his bed, but tripped over something and fell face first onto the ground, spilling water all over his head. Kyo sat up as quickly as he could and turned around to see what he tripped over, but again saw nothing. He shook his head and went to pick his glasses up from the floor. 'What the hell is wrong with me tonight...' he thought to himself. He placed his glasses back on his face and looked up, only this time something was there in front of him. The image of a small two tailed cat like creature stood there with his paw up in the air as if to say "Hiya!". "Wha...what the hell!?!?" Kyosuke said, backing up into the wall while still in a seated position. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. The cat like creature before him was Ayame's pet, Daiya...though Kyosuke had never met him. 'Geez...this guy summons spirits as his major but he's scared of a little thing like me?' Daiya thought to himself as he shook his head. He walked up to Kyo and seated himself to speak to him. "This is just great, i'm not going to be able to sleep tonight am I?" Kyosuke said, looking down to the ground with a fatigued look. Daiya hopped on his shoulder out of nowhere, almost freaking him out again. "Your Kyosuke, correct? I belong to Ayame, when you heard her in the library yesterday it was me she was talking to. My name is Daiya. I'm awfully sorry to do this but I came to ask for your help," Daiya said to Kyosuke. Kyo stared blankly at the cat on his shoulder for a few seconds and recalled what he was talking about. Kyosuke sighed, being thankful that he wasn't going crazy. "I see...you must communicate telepathically then, am I right?" Kyosuke asked, putting two and two together. "You are correct...I'm afraid Ayame is in a bit of a tight spot however. She needs your help." "My help? What's wrong? Where is she?" "With Alex and Lazarus, I don't have much more time to explain, follow me and i'll take you to them." Kyosuke narrowed his eyes, wondering what she was doing with Lazarus. Thoughts for the worst went through his head, fueled by his dislike for Lazarus. He also now knew where Alex was too. "Very well, Daiya was it? Lead the way" Kyosuke said pushing his glasses up. Kyosuke grabbed his Ice and Summoning magi and placed them in his inside jacket pocket, and fixed his Chakram to his back. Daiya scurried out of the door, followed by Kyosuke at a fast jogging pace. Sounds good to me. I was thinking about doing a few flashback posts which i would pinpoint by labeling it as such. So as long as people put down when and where they are RPing most of the time there shouldn't be any confusion. Though my flashbacks would be of Kyo and his father, so it wouldn't really impede the current time. -

ooc: I just assumed we've already done 2 days worth, but i think we should start regulating the time of day too. I'll start picking up from slightly passed when the classes for the current day end, so around evening time i guess. Kyosuke was on his way out of his Ice Elemental class, in his mind however he was actually beggining to question whether he should go through with what he had in mind when he saw Alex. More thoughts flooded his head, including before in class when he demonstrated how to shape and contain frost mist strong enough to freeze any form of matter in less than 5 seconds. It was an advanced yet general skill normally taught to students since the majority of creating solid forms of ice started with the frost emitted from the power of the magi. Kyosuke also couldn't help but notice that a certain fellow ice user wasn't present in class today, and not to his suprise either...since it was Lazarus McCloud. Kyo just flowed through the halls on auto-pilot since he knew them so well for being at the academy for almost 11 years now. That ran through his head too, whenever Kyosuke had too much time to think...he often did just that, the only off switch he ever really had was Sakura smacking him in the head with a textbook or pinching him when he wouldn't be listening to her. Or the occaisonal oppurtunities Kyosuke would accidently see up her skirt when she would go to pick something up or if she was also lost in thought while seated with her legs not crossed. Though that part he's never mentioned to her. Kyo once again reached up and grabbed the cross he usually wore around his neck and thought lastly about his father, the well known wizard Vidale Orias. His father was the man who gave him the cross the year he entered the academy. It was similar to the one his father wore, except he could only read 3 of the 7 engraved symbols on it. The symbols for Luna, Ice, and Wisdom, the others he couldn't make out even with all the research he had done thoughout his life. One of Kyosuke's secret goals in seeing the world with the missions given to the academy members was to find a way to decipher the other 4 symbols on his cross. Still deep in thought Kyo made a right turn and stopped short, seeing another student walking towards him at the last second. "Huh? Oh...Sakura, um...what happened to your hair?" He asked, seeing that the student ahead of him was Sakura with her books handing down from her hand, clearly a tired look in her eyes. "Huh?" she grabbed a few strands of her hair and brought it in front of her to look at it. "Oh...hehe, big whirlwind...must have frizzed it" she continued to say with a slight goofy looking grin on her face. Kyo knew she had come from her Air Elemental class, most of the different elemental classes occured around the same time as on another. Kyo slipped his glasses back up with his middle and ring fingers. "Have you seen Alex?" Kyosuke asked her. Sakura shook her head though. "No...but before i got into class i think i overheard another student say that they saw..." "Wait..." Kyo said putting his finger up to Sakura's lips, cutting her off. Kyo narrowed his eyes more and looked out of the corner of his eyes. "Do you feel that?" he asked. Sakura couldn't have been more confused. She looked around too but didn't know what he meant. "What do you mean, Kyosuke?" she asked. Kyo put his hand up to his head and held it like he had suddenly got a slight headache. He shook his head and returned his focus. "Ugh...it's nothing...guess i'm just tired..." he said, not being able to make out the feeling he had just gotten. "Well i'm tired too...classes are over for the day we should both head back to the dorms..." Sakura said after a slight yawn. "But..." Kyo started to say. "It can wait...Kyo, we still have time before the trials. You don't know, maybe Alex will come to his senses before then. Besides, we need our rest...how is it gonna look if either of us do badly on the trial or the final exam. Not to mention with what you had in mind i'm sure you need more energy than what you have now." Sakura explained, convincing Kyosuke. "Very well i guess..." Kyo said, as they both started to walk back toward the dorms. Half way there however another student came into view, walking quickly toward Kyo and Sakura. The two recognized him from around the halls but didn't have many classes with him. He noticed the two and stopped short as if he just found a way out of a desert. He panted a bit and addressed them both. "Hey! You guys haven't seen Blaize Harbinger around anywhere...have you?" he asked. Kyo tried to remember who Blaize was and recalled a few run ins with him but never really spoke with him or knew him. The student asking them was none other than Aaron Corvais, who was currently forced to depend on Blaize's expertise to get him a passing grade in Blue Magic class. "I'm sorry, I don't know where he is," Kyosuke stated. Sakura nodded in agreement offering her apologies as well. "This is just great...i'm gonna fail...I can't believe the instructor expects me to work with this guy...*sigh*...thank you anyway, i have to be going" Aaron said, as he took off again in the same direction he was going. Sakura decided to strike up some small talk on the way back to the dorms about how her day went. She kind of laughed to herself knowing how what she was about to bring up was gonna make Kyosuke react. "Soooo...I ran into a good friend of yours today in the library...Carrot Burnheart." she said looking up at Kyosuke. "Ugh...don't get me started!" he said in a low yet annoyed voice. Sakura giggled a bit and she changed the subject, as they continued to walk back.

Kyosuke began to walk out of the library after voicing his method of getting Alex in the right state of mind for the trial. Sakura chased after him though before he could get to the door. She grabbed his arm and spun him around. "Wait! Kyo, are you sure? I'm sure there's another way" she suggested, obviously protesting his idea. Kyo turned to her and stared down. "I said it before that Alex has the determination, but it's dormant. Unfortunatley he has very little of anything else. The most proficient way of going about this would be to emphasize his strengths and hide the weaknesses, but when it comes to someone like Alex who has many weaknesses...it's often a good idea to take another path," Kyo explained. Ayame ran up beside Sakura put her hands on her hips. "Hey, Kyo! I'm sure Alex has plenty of other strengths..." she tried to add to the debate. Kyo turned his focus to her for a split second, then addressed everyone in the group. "Alex has been injured too many times during sparring sessions because of his lack of focus, he has failed written test after written test because of his lack of knowledge, he has been sucessfully depleted of any remaining pride or drive thanks to lazarus's self-absorbed words, because of his lack of self-esteem. His strength dosen't show because he has no supporting pillars for it, or to put it in different terms it would be like a lion going into a fight with 100 hyenas who have taken over his jungle. The lion has lost his advantage due to numbers, territory loss, and inability to recognize his plight. These aspects are equivalent in nature to what Alex lacks, and the lion's foolhardy courage is equivalent to Alex's dormant determination...both are great to have but when the odds are stacked against them it does little good." Everyone just stared at Kyo, either impressed or bewildered by his explanation. Kyosuke had a talent for breaking things down and explaining them to reflect the most amount of truth possible, regardless of how it was perceived in terms of harshness. Sakura knew that Kyo was usually right in his character judgement, but still wished he had held back a little. Ayame just slumped her head down, willing to listen. Rinoa stepped up however and addressed Kyosuke. "You may be right, i have to admit i've seen plenty of the negatives in Alex in just the few times we've spoken. But we're all in this together aren't we? Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses but there's always a way improve ones self." "That's precisely it. Rather then act in futility we create supporting pillars to allow him to awaken his strength himself. If he can't do it for himself then it won't be worth anything. People need to realize their own potential through any means that open their eyes to it. Any of us can only be helped so much by one another, but in the end the true nature of our resolve and power can only be discovered by us as individuals." Kyosuke explained. Kyo reflected quickly back on the words he just spoke and sensed an all too familiar presence in his words. He closed his eyes and reached his hand to his chest where he clutched a gothic style cross with inscriptions within it. He couldn't help but feel like...his father was trying to tell him the very same. Unable to make any sense out of the strange feeling he had, he merely shook his head and returned his focus to the present. "I suppose you never cease to amaze me with your analysis of things. But i assume you've already thought of how your suggestion is going to help build a supporting pillar?" Sakura asked, open to hearing more of an explanation. "If i get serious, I kill him. I've seen him fight and he has a ways to go, It can't be helped. I'll make sure that he gets something out of it though. That much I can promise" Kyosuke answered in a confident tone. He walked off with a wave, apologizing for being so up front but assuring Ayame, Sakura, and Rinoa that he knew what he was talking about. Ayame looked up at Sakura who watched him leave, with her arms crossed. Ayame tapped Sakura on her shoulder. "Sakura, is Kyosuke really that strong? Do you really think he wants to...well...kill Alex?" she asked with a doubtful tone in her voice. "You don't have to worry Ayame. I have a feeling Kyosuke knows what he's doing. He would never bring himself to kill a fellow student however. It's...well...difficult to understand someone like Kyosuke fully when your just meeting him...every now and then though i give him a kick in the ass to get him off his pedestal" Sakura explained with an assuring smile on her face. Sakura knew that Kyosuke was strong, but the words he spoke was the familiar condecending tone he used with a lot of people. Kyosuke often believed he knew what was best for everyone, and often asserted himself. It was never his wish to offend, just simply to tell the truth. Sakura however was one of the very few people that realized that Kyosuke always has good intentions. It was at the point where Ayame could never think badly about Kyosuke, she had already seen the side of him that she enjoyed being with...and when Ayame saw the good in people that was her deciding factor in how she felt about people. She liked that he was smart and felt like she could learn a lot from him. It's the same way when she saw Alex's smile, she saw the him behind everything else that was like sunlight through the darkness. Ayame was fairly good at bringing the good out of people, though when she did...she often became attached to that side. Ayame gave the other two girls a big smile and ran off on her way.** Rinoa still didn't know Kyosuke well enough to make a final judgement but she didn't perceive Kyosuke's explanation as negative, she was more than willing to help actually. She just knew that Kyo was smart and attractive and she too had seen his courteous side. People like Kyosuke were always hard to understand, being one way then being another at different times. His state of mind always allowed him various points of view when analyzing things, which is probably a big contributing factor as to why his way of thinking was so complicated. On his way out the door he saw a female student standing infront of him, leaning against the wall with a smile on her face. "Hey Orias, going around acting all high and mighty again huh? Daddy's kid sure has a mouth on him," the student said. Kyosuke recognized her red hair, and her demeanor right away. Carrot Burnheart was one of the students in the academy that couldn't stand Kyosuke and usually contributed it to his family. Kyosuke and Carrot had such conflicting personalities it was like an overfilled hot air balloon everytime they were in the same room together. "Asking you to have some class and dicipline is an act in futility isn't it? Step aside, i have no desire to be held up by you" Kyosuke said walking by her. Carrot laughed subtly to herself and shrugged. "Have it your way, you just better stay out of my way when the trials start. I don't need any help from some son whose desperate to get out of his dad's shadow" Carrot said, with intentions to agitate. Kyosuke stopped for a second but composed himself quickly, telling himself inside his head that it wasn't worth his time. OOC: Starting from KW's last one, leading into DH's last one. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ayame threw a big smile on seeing Rinoa and Kyosuke shaking hands. Rinoa was clearly red in the face as Kyosuke just smiled. Ayame giggled a bit and then cut herself in to the mix. "Glad you two got to meet! Wow, Rinoa...your face is awfully red...that dosen't mean your embarrrrrrrased does it?" Ayame said in a teasing tone, while pointing to her own cheeks. Rinoa withdrew her hand faster than the speed of light and placed them on her own cheeks, trying to cover them. "Wha...what!? I don't know what your talking about!" Rinoa responded in a hurry. Kyosuke was a bit confused on what to say and just looked on as Ayame continued to tease Rinoa while Rinoa tried to deny it. Ayame then remembered the reason Kyosuke went to find her. "Oh! Kyo! Didn't you bring me something?" Ayame asked, on her tippy toes trying to look Kyosuke in the eyes. Kyo pulled his head back but Ayame followed her with impressive balance. Kyo finally fell back, looked up and still saw Ayame bent over with her face half an inch from his. Ayame took the oppurtunity to push Kyo's glasses up for him again. "Um, would you please stop that? and yes, i did bring you something...your text book...you left it in the courtyard," Kyo said while getting back to his feet. Ayame took her back back and gave a sigh of relief. "Thanks so much Kyo! I would have been in big trouble if i walked into class today without it. Instructor Uzume woulda yelled at me again..." she said in a pouty voice. "Yes...well, be more careful next time. You were lucky i saw it," Kyosuke said before being knocked into by another student. Kyo fell forward from the impact, taking Rinoa down with him accidently. Rinoa fell to her back with a thud and looked up at Kyosuke, who was on top of her with his face about an inch away from hers. Rinoa's face turned redder than before as she pracitically froze in place. Thoughts ran through her head some telling her to grab him and kiss him and treat herself, others telling her to ask him to move, and others telling her to slide out and run for the hills. Before she could do anything though Kyosuke picked himself back up, and extended his hand to help Rinoa up. "Oh...I...w..w..why, t..thank...i mean..." Rinoa tripped over her words and just gave up and took Kyo's hand as he helped her up. "Sorry about that," Kyosuke said while taking his hand back from Rinoa's. He turned around and saw Havok. ?Hey Kyosuke! Sorry about that man, I was in a hurry---? Havok began to say before noticing Rinoa and Ayame. Havok found himself losing his words once setting his eyes on Rinoa, he had always admired her looks since they first met in the academy. Havok then noticed Rinoa's gaze was fixed on Kyosuke, red in the cheeks and a spaced out look on her face. Havok sighed inside and figured he should have expected it. He just put on a smile and tried to place his thoughts elsewhere. ?Hello Ayame and Rinoa. Almost didn?t notice you guys there. So what?re we all up to?? he managed to ask. "I was returning Ayame's book and she introduced me to Rinoa" Kyosuke answered. Havok looked over at Ayame who had a big smile on her face, he knew she was only trying to be friendly but couldn't help feel but he would have preferred Kyosuke not to have met Rinoa. "That's right! But now that Havok is here, we should really get started, right?" Ayame asked. The others turned to Ayame in confusement. "What do you mean, Ayame?" Rinoa asked. Ayame turned to her and put her hands on her hips. "Well we dont have our next classes until 4, so we might as well study while we're here!" Ayame said while pointing to the shelves. Kyosuke figured since he didn't really have anything else to do it was a good idea. Havok interjected however. "Uh, you guys go ahead. I'm on my way somewhere now, which is why i accidently bumped into you back there Kyosuke. But if i have time before class i'll come meet you guys" Havok said. "Oh...well ok, but make sure you come if you can," Ayame said while dragging Kyo and Rinoa by their arms toward the desks. Kyo thought while being pulled by her that this was the second time today Ayame had grabbed him to go with her somewhere. Havok walked out of the library and continued to run down the right fork. Coming into the library as he was leaving however was Kyosuke's sparring partner, Sakura. She saw the three of them and ran up to them calling out Kyo's name loudly. "Huh? Oh! Sakura...hey you should be more quiet this is a library you know," Kyosuke said trying to quiet her down. "Well i tried calling you down the hallway before but you didn't hear me! But anyway, i finished speaking with Instructor Cavalier and he said that the teams for the final exam were going to be chosen in a few days. Man...i can't believe it's so close..." Sakura said, remembering how exams always made her feel as she clutched her stomach. "I never understand why you always get like this before exams, you always get As just like me," Kyosuke said in a questionable tone. Rinoa looked on and recognized Sakura from classes but never really talked with her. She was a bit intimidated by Sakura's popularity, but being with everyone there in the library made her feel a little more comfortable. Sakura looked over at her cutting her and Kyo's conversation short, and walked up to Rinoa. "Hi, i'm Sakura. You must be Rinoa?" she asked while extending her hand. Rinoa with a suprised look on her face, reached out and shook it. Rinoa was suprised that Sakura, one of the most popular and beautiful girls in the academy, knew who she was. "Y...yes. Pleased to meet you Ms. Clyne" she responded. "Please, Sakura is fine" Sakura responded. The four continued on before Rinoa saw a familiar face of someone she had met before the others in her company. It was Alex Glesen, already seated at a table looking through some books, speaking to himself.

I didn't read the article yet but to comment on Abel's character, i can take responsibility for getting him into the story if it's ok with you. I'm holding off my next post till a little later, but i can toss him in there and then set it up for someone else to continue it with their character. Going from his sign-up sheet i'm sure it will be easy enough. -
Kyosuke and Sakura stood across from each other, both knowing that the gears were constantly turning in the other's heads. Kyosuke was known throughout the academy for being a strong tactician on the field, it was the ability that overshadowed any of his others despite how focused his magic would be, or how accurate his strikes would be. Sakura on the other hand wasn't so much a planner as she was quick to adapt. She always paced herself and had time to think and usually came up with ways to get around in almost any situation. Her quickness on the battlefield was also a great advantage for her in any case. Kyo broke out of his train of thought with a quick dash to the left side, Sakura reacted by circling herself around toward her left. Kyo snapped one half of his chakram toward Sakura's legs, Sakura was able to stop in her tracks with enough time to leap up above it. Sakura turned to see it fly away from her, she put a smile on and turned to taunt Kyosuke. But before she could say anything she saw the other chakram speeding down toward her from above. Sakura got wide eyed and barely deflected it with her gunblade, but the impact knocked her back a little. She looked across at Kyo who had a grin on his face. He raised his hand and swung it back, as both chakrams followed the motion of his hand back to him. Confused, Sakura looked around, and finally noticed what it was that happened. "Ah ha, so when did you get the chance to tie those chakrams together with that steel wire?" she asked noticing the gleam off the wire coming from his hand. Kyo combined the two chakrams back into one. "When we began, remember i chased after my first chakram. When i spun around to throw the other i wrapped it around the center while my back was turned." Kyo answered. Sakura put a grin on her face too now. "Well, that's a nice little trick. Now lets see what you think about this!" Sakura said, as the pulled back on her gunblade and Kyo's chakram flew out of his hands over to her. Kyo looked toward her with a suprised look on his face, and looked down at his empty hands. "How the...you wrapped my chakram with a second wire?" Kyo asked. Sakura giggled. "When i deflected your second throw, i threaded it into the chakram with the tip of the gunblade before i sliced it away." she answered back. Kyo pushed his glasses up with his middle and ring finger, and started to think of what to do next. "Hehe, don't look so serious. I have a confession! I saw you practicing the other day, tying the chakrams together with the wire. I had it ready for the next time we were gonna spar." Sakura told him, as she flung the chakram back at him. Kyo caught it with his pointer finger, spun it around and placed it on his back. "Hm, little cheater," Kyo said in a low tone of voice. Kyo turned to his right but was bumped into by another student who was taking part in the sparring exercise. Kyo caught his balance, as did the other student. They turned to each other, Kyo with a narrow look in his eyes and the other student sneered at him. "Watch yourself, injuries occur on the battlefield because of carelessness," Kyo said, brushing himself off. The other student turned fully around to him now and addressed him. "Maybe it's you who should watch it, pretty boy," the student said. Kyo recognized him, it was Lazarus McCloud. Kyo had a few run ins with him in the past, the two never really got a long. Kyo considered Lazarus to always be undiciplined and careless with himself. "Hmph, i suppose it's difficult for someone like you to understand..." Kyosuke answered back, as Sakura ran up to his side to see what was going on. Lazarus slipped his hand into his pocket subtly and whipped out one of his edged cards but was met swiftly by Kyosuke's chakram. The two stood at a stalemate, staring each other down eye to eye. Sakura shook her head and grabbed both of their arms, pulling them down. "Would you two stop it. Lazarus, you should get back to your spar or else Instructor Cavalier will get upset," she said, playing the peacemaker. Lazarus turned his head without a word and just walked back. Kyo sighed and lowered his chakram. "What is it about him that always brings out the worst in you, Kyo? It's always awkward between you two," Sakura added. Kyo sighed and shook his head. "It's just the way he is...his attitude...he dosen't exactly seem like the trustworthy type either," Kyo explained. "You two should at least try to avoid each other...we don't need any inner hostilities between any of us. We're in the same class so let's just try and get through the final exam. Neither one of you are exactly the most popular people in the academy you know. Besides, even if your grades are the tops of the class you need to be able to work with anybody when it comes to mission time," Sakura explained, once again being the voice of reason. Kyo could always rely on her to try and set him straight when he got out of line. She has seen what it was like when Kyo went into one of his episodes. As smart and laid back as he usually was, he had very little tolerance for people who rubbed him the wrong way. When it came to the contrast in talent and intellegence between him and other students, he became quite outspoken whenever he felt they weren't conducting themselves properly in his eyes. Kyo and Sakura walked over to the warm up section where they had done their stretched and took a few sips of water. Kyo looked down and saw something laying next to his bag. It looked like one of the academy's tutorial texts on summoning. Kyo knew it wasn't his since he had finished reading every summoning text a few years ago. He picked it up and flipped through it until he saw a name on the back cover, it read "Ayame" with a little smiley face above it. "Oh, this is that girl Ayame's book," he said as he started to look around for her. Sakura looked up at him while she was taking a few things out of her bag. "Ayame? I think she took Alex to the infirmary. I think they had another accident while they were sparring," she said, putting an emphasis on the word another. Kyo hadn't even noticed since he was focused on his match with Sakura. He went to place the book down on one of the benches but Sakura stopped him. "Hey, you should go bring that to her! You know how strict the academy instructors are about not losing text books and taking care of them. Besides, she's also in our Summoning Magic class, you know how Instructor Uzume gets," Sakura said, with a certain moment in mind from when Ayame forgot to bring her text to class once. Instructor Uzume yelled at her and told her to be more responsible. "Um, well...you can bring it righ..." "Well! I gotta go talk with Instructor Cavalier about something! Hurry and go bring it to her!" Sakura said, interuppting Kyosuke's sentence. Sakura ran off leaving Kyo with a defeated look, as he pushed his glasses up again. Kyosuke turned back to Sakura with a perplexed look in his eyes, Sakura looked back toward him with a similar look. "What was that all about? You know her?" Sakura asked him, wondering why Ayame had Kyo arm in arm. "No...i mean yes, she's in our class...i mean she just ran into me before, she was putting a book back and then she just grabbed me," Kyosuke answered, tripping over his words a little bit. Sakura would have been unconvinced if she didn't know Kyosuke so well. It wasn't a mystery that he was an attractive young man, but Sakura knew that he wasn't the type to acknowledge that. Plus Sakura payed more attention to who their classmates were and knew what kind of person Ayame was, therefore figuring as well that it might have had nothing to do with Kyo's looks. Kyo seemed to attract the attention of a lot of people of both genders, whether it be for his looks, his intellegence, or his family name. However the latter didn't always bring about positive feelings towards him amongst his peers. The Orias name was a well known and dignified one, but because of it Kyo is often accused of having things easier than everyone else. "Um...so, what are you doing here Sakura?" Kyosuke asked, deciding to change the subject. Sakura replaced her puzzled look and walked up towards Kyosuke. She still looked like she wasn't completely awake yet, eyes still a little heavy and an occaisonal yawn every few minutes. It was only a few minutes to six, but Kyosuke had been up since five. He always believed in a good early start would lead to better focus during the day. "Well, I was looking for you. I knew you would be up by now, since you don't believe in sleep" She replied. "I sleep plenty, I suppose i just don't need as much as everyone else. But anyway, I figured you would have been studying for the final exam?" Kyo said, while he finished up putting some books back on their respective shelves. "Eh, i'd rather not talk about it. You know how I get before exams...i'd rather spend my time doing something else anyway" She said with another big yawn. Kyo looked over at her and put on a relaxed smile. Sakura's company always made Kyo feel comfortable. He also found it to be a breath of fresh air since Sakura was one of the few people that could match him in intellegence, and they could always enjoy many types of conversations with each other. When it came down to the grades and the academy, they would always seem to be head to head at the top of their class. They had quite a few classes together as well because of their common specialties in summoning magic and elemental magic. Before speaking again, Kyo reached over to a bookshelf and pulled out a thick, red, hardcovered book and handed it to her. Sakura looked at it for a bit, then reached out and took it from his hands. She looked at the cover and read Chronicles of Faydark: The Tree of Riakath. She put a bright smile on her face almost instantly and looked back up at Kyosuke who was already smiling at her, knowing how happy it was going to make her. "This is book four! I didn't know it came out already! It's ok if i borrow it?" Sakura asked, hugging the book to her chest. Kyosuke pushed his glasses up into place with his middle and ring fingers. "It's yours. I had the library order an extra copy. I figured it would occupy your time in a more enjoyable manner. Though I have to say i don't see what everyone sees in these books." he said. "Well, maybe you should consider reading for personal enjoyment sometime, instead of only reading all those academy texts. I should let you borrow em sometime! Thanks to you i have them all now, at least until the last two books come out" Sakura replied, already reading the inside cover. She had been reading the Chronicles of Faydark books since the first one. The books were fictitious stories about the times before Magi and Relics, when magic was casted only by those bestowed with special power. They were fantasy books in a manner of speaking, with infectious storylines and colorful characters. Kyosuke on the other hand never got into reading for personal matters other than for learning purposes or studying. Before they could say anything else to each other however, the alarm on Sakura's watch went off. "Oops, we better get going or we'll be late for class!" Sakura said, turning her alarm off. "Wow, that time already? Time always seems to move quicker early in the morning. You go on ahead, i still have a few things to take care of here." Kyosuke responded. "Ok, but don't be late," Sakura said, turning around to head out the door. Kyo watched Sakura leave, her purplish hair swaying back and forth as she walked. Kyo had always thought Sakura was pretty, but never actually had any romantic feelings toward her. It was pretty much the popular thought around the academy of anyone who has seen her or knew her. Kyo snapped himself out of it and went back to finishing up. It wasen't a few seconds before Kyo looked up and thought to himself something that he just remembered. 'Hm...that girl, Ayame...what exactly was she talking to?' Kyo thought to himself, as he remembered hearing her speaking to someone or something before she bumped into him. Kyo again snapped himself out of that train of thought and went back to his business. What skills do you have or what are you best known for?
TheResplendent replied to orbindo's topic in General Discussion
I'm best known for my intellegence. I'm always referred to as "the smart one" and am usually the giver of advice and the problem solver. I'm very in tune with logical deduction and enjoy having debates about anything that peaks my interest. My aptitude and interest in psychology and philosophy help this a lot, and have really helped to form my current mental state. I am not only intellegent in theories of argumentation however, but street smarts as well. Though I don't look like a nerd, i do wear glasses, lol. Nobody ever expects me to be as intellegent as I am from my looks alone... I am also mostly known for my photographic memory. I can remember most anything i try to dating as far back as even before pre-kindergarden. My long term memory is actually better than my short term memory, but both are pretty solid. Even now i had to take some time to think about what i ate for dinner last night, lol. My imagination i suppose ties into the intellegence section, but one isn't required to excell in the other so i gave imagination it's own mention. It is the tool that allows for my writing to be what it is. I am able to create most anything with my active and wild imagination and convert it into some kind of story. On the more negative side i am also known to be a very jealous person...it's something i've tried to kill over the course of the past few years and am still fighting the battle.
