Time for me to do my first official "silly picture" post. Tis true. Give puppies life. Anyway, Ikillion pretty much has the right idea. Sex is great. Nuttin wrong with masturbation either. Unless of course your a follower of strict religious delirium.

After some time, Vallon proceeded to his quarters to retrieve Pheonia. She was waiting there for him when he got there, dressed in uniform, her face still showing the effects of the short-lived sparring incident. She saluted him and bowed, Vallon bringing her chin back up from the bow with his hand. He waved her along as she followed him. Vallon took a look at the information on the memory chips Sandra gave to him concerning the three people he was charged with taking alive. Clearly his immediate attention to that matter spoke loudly of his idea of what to prioritize when comparing it to the fact that he had yet to look at the memory chips Jared had given him. He went through all the introductory system starters for the chip and began scrolling through the names. "Garrik Kublai, Ana Crowe, and Joseph Steiner...traitors to the High Council eh? It's nothing but prolonged suicide." Vallon mentioned out loud as he read up on them. Pheonia followed quietly behind, not making any eye contact with anything that wasn't in front of her path. Vallon finished with everything he considered to be significant and placed the chip back into his pocket. Feeling around while he was in there, he took out the slave chip that Jared had given him and observed it for a couple of seconds. "Well...I suppose we've got some time before we depart for Sector 7." Vallon put the chip in and began looking over the large list of names. He noticed the two particular names in red text that Jared had made mention of. He let out a hmph to himself and curiously opened the files, wanting to know exactly what made these slaves so worthy of special interest. Moments after reading the file for one Celestia Henderson, he broke out into laughter accompanied by a poor attempt at stifling it. "Such advanced knowledge of our computer systems? This inconsequential slave? Is Jared playing some sort of prank on me by feeding me such nonsense?" Vallon rhetorically asked in disbelief. Pheonia directed her attention to Vallon for the moment. "Celestia Henderson and Jason Sanders are being held under special care for that very reason. Their expertise is being put to use here on The Creator, don't misunderstand sir. They are simply being used." "I've no doubts of the intentions of keeping them here if this scribble is true. It's simply being convinced of the fact that such lower life forms are capable of these feats is a bit far fetched, or do you not agree?" Pheonia stayed silent and only nodded when Vallon turned his head to face her. As they reached the turbo lift, Vallon set it to take them to the servants quarters. They stepped off the lift once it reached their destination, Vallon promptly inquired as to the whereabouts of the two slaves. The guard pointed him out in the direction of their room, Vallon walked off promptly without a word. Pheonia gave a slight bow of thanks and hurried to catch up. Moments later the door to Celestia and Jason's personal quarters was within point blank view. Vallon smirked and simply punched in a code on the locking mechanism next to the door, causing it to unlock. The sound alerted Jason who looked up, though Celestia was not present in that particular section of the room. The door opened and Vallon stepped into the doorway, Pheonia waited behind him with his hands clasped behind her back. Jason took a few steps back, he had never seen this man before but he was clearly an officer of the ship. He then took notice to his uniform badges and quickly realized who the man standing infront of him truly was. "C...commander Drace?" Jason said to himself, though not nearly low enough not to be heard. Vallon raised an eyebrow and stepped further into the room. It was easy to tell his rank, recognizing the type of badge from the last sub-commander that was stationed on The Creator. "Well, you're already smarter then I would have initially given you credit for, being able to indentify who I am without having met me already. However that's about as much credit as i'm willing to give the likes of you." Vallon explained, as he looked around the room. It was much more then any slave to the empire should be entitled to. He scowled inside his head at the kind of treatment these slaves were receiving, though the room was nothing like his or Commander Jared's. "Jared seems to have some notion that you and your friend would be of some sort of use to us. Hmm...and where exactly is the other one?" Vallon demanded. "Celestia...she's..." Jason began to say, though was quickly interrupted by Celestia herself walking into the room. "Jason, who....ahh! S..sir! I'm sorry, I didn't realize!" Celestia bowed her head, noticing Vallon there as she walked in. "Well then, you're both here now. Just thought I'd see for myself exactly what was so special about you two..." Vallon began to say as he walked over to Celestia. She didn't move anything but her arms, unsure of how to react. He reached out and grabbed hold of Celestia's arm and pulled her toward him forcefully. Jason's eyes widened as he took a step forward but was impeded by Pheonia using her arm as a barricade. "Celestia!" Jason yelled, as he tried to force his way passed Pheonia. With no other choice, she forced him back with her hand, causing him to fall backwards. "If you intend to attack, I will stop you every time. Just sit still." she warned. She kept her eyes on Jason as he clinched his fists. Vallon turned his attention back to Celestia who was trying to shake herself free, he grabbed her chin with his fingers and observed her face. "Well...you certainly don't look very special to me. Even if everything Jared said you have achieved is true. Why don't you explain to me how you've come to gain such knowledge?" Vallon inquired. Celestia didn't answer, she was focused more on the pain in her arm. Vallon tossed her aside, quickly becoming impatient with the idea of confirming the information he received. Celestia landed on the bed as Jason rushed over to her. Pheonia glanced down at her hand-held computer and turned her attention to Vallon. "Sir, we should be on our way. You'll need to gather and prep the troops for deployment.". Vallon silently walked back toward the doorway and stopped only to turn his head toward Jason and Celestia. "You two best hope you remain on Jared's good side, since he's pretty much your only protection around here." Vallon continued out, Pheonia behind him. She turned and glanced over at Celestia who was gripping her arm, she remained there for a couple of seconds and followed Vallon hastily upon hearing his call.

"Hmph, so this is the five star treatment around here eh? Suppose I should settle in then, before I begin to make my presence known." Vallon spoke as he simply set aside his hand held computer and pocketed the data chips. He intended to look over the data Jared required that he read, but at a later time. He took a look at the cpu only to find out where his quarters were located on the ship layout and proceeded followed by Pheonia. She followed behind, yet seemed a bit hesitant since she had not expected to be put in the absolute control of the man she was meant to guard. It made her a bit uneasy, she had no idea what kind of a man Vallon was passed what she has heard or seen in the time they had transported to The Creator. She tried to shove any thoughts out of her mind and tried to stick to doing her job. Their respective yet neighboring quarters were located only a couple of minutes away from Jared's own quarters. Halfway through however, Vallon stopped and turned to Pheonia who in turn stopped as well. He wore a curious look on his face and took a few steps toward her slowly. "Well, Miss Roth. I have to admit i'm a bit curious as to why someone like you is suited for a job like being my personal guard. I'm going to assume i'm not being insulted here and that you must be somewhat talented at what you do." Vallon said, exuding a lack of being impressed. "Sir, I have been with the SF Security squad for eight years now. I am skilled in the art of the disruptor bo staff and have studied..." "Haha, don't be so uptight. You seem nervous all of a sudden." Vallon cut Pheonia off. He walked over to her even closer, causing her to step back slightly. He drew his fingers down the curls in her hair beside her face and smiled a twisted smile. "You say you're skilled with a disruptor staff. Well let's see, shall we?" Vallon asked, backing away and motioning for her to draw her weapon. "Sir...?" "Well, If i'm to have a pitiful thing like you serve under me, I want to know what you can do. Draw your weapon...or else you'll be killed before you get to fulfill your duties." Vallon said, rushing forward moments later with his fist outstretched. Pheonia gasped and reached as fast as she could to her waist but felt the sting of Vallon's fist against her face knocking her to the ground. Phenonia moaned in pain, her face throbbing from the strike. She got to all fours and reached for her staff. She activated it and held it out infront of her in a protective way, still a bit wavy on her legs. 'Is this really okay? Should I take up arms against my superior officer?' she thought to herself. Before she could think any further, Vallon took another swing which she dodged just a second before impact. She swung wildly with her staff still not coordinated enough to fight her superior officer, Vallon easily dodged the swing and closed the gap enough to grab the back of her head and ram it down into his knee. Her head and body flailed back, her nose busted open, and landed with a thud on her back. She lay there sprawled out, her staff laying next to her open hand. Vallon sighed with dissapointment, adjusted his hair over his shoulder and knelt down beside Pheonia's body. "I suppose your more valuable talents aren't in physical combat...but I assure you, i'll find out exactly what you're good at." Vallon said, grabbing her hair and forcing her up to her feet. Pheonia moaned and grabbed onto his arm to try and make it less painful. "s...sir, i'm sorry...I wasn't prepared to fight someone of your status." she said, trying to justify her defeat. Vallon let go of her and gave her a shove ahead toward the doors. "I have no use for you right now, do whatever the hell you want until I call you." Vallon snapped as he went his own way toward the door to his quarters. He entered into his room and admired the large surroundings, it was differently set up than Jared's but still a lavish atmosphere with everything that he needed plus luxuries. He tossed the computer onto the closest desk and pulled his jacket off of himself. He placed it down on the bed and took a look at the time. "Hmph, they really think their efforts matter. They took over one ship, with a commander and crew with shit for brains. As long as I am here, The Creator, my ship will never be lost." Vallon said to himself as he grabbed the computer and switched his attention to visiting the training barracks on the ship, intending to read those files sometime in between. He left the room and took a few steps before looking over to Pheonia's quarters. It seemed she had already entered. 'She might provide some fun for me every now and then.' he thought to himself, as he continued on. He crossed the first intersection and kept going straight, not making the right turn toward the infirmary. Though Vallon knew well that he was scheduled for a check up a couple of hours after he arrived at The Creator. He was told the doctor's name was Crystal Matheson. 'As if some weakling female doctor is going to do something if I don't show up.' he thought to himself as he continued on his way.
That is troublesome... It's good that we have a replacement for DB, but too bad that BKstyles needed to drop out as well. Though if he's in school like the rest of us, I suppose it can't be helped. Pity though... I was hoping that my first kill would be one of his characters. :p
Sorry, it's a bit of a mix between school, work, and trying to salvage a friendship. Ideally, i'd rather just go on a nice long vacation than anything right now. Suppose it's always possible to try and find someone to take my spot too though.

Unfortunately this post is to announce my withdrawal from the RP as well. The way things are going in my life right now it's pretty much a foolish move to try and stay constant in three RPs. I have to take one off my load and i've chosen The Ragnarok. Nothing personal and no hard feelings, Sandy. Sorry to everyone else as well but I have more than enough on my plate right now.
I wouldn't worry about it DB, at this rate, what with some of us managing to lose points due to the cancel effect, I'm wondering if anyone is ever going to get a death or life type card. lol
Least you didn't gain a point and lose that point in the same post :animesigh. Lol But i guess Sandy is counting on the fact that we'll start hitting up the actions that would reward us more than a single point at a time.
I'm sure I have a penny somewhere... Though I'd be willing to be generous and give you two. lol Anyway, oh how people are missing out on a bit of silly fun here. Mock bids on items and not to be taken seriously or such. So, in the spirit that this thread is intended, I propose that the next item to consider would be the custom title: The Irishman from Gavin's profile. ;) I mean what woman doesn't want an Irishman? Or what guy doesn't what the chance to be one so he can get the ladies? And since Gavin suggested that starting from a penny would be a good way to go since the other price for the E seemed so expensive to Gavin, the starting bid for his custom Title is $0.01 Though if you wish it back, it will cost you more than that Gavin. lol :p
I bid a dime to get my BK back, damn extortionists.
And here I thought this was a topic about out eBay buying habits. :animesigh At the risk of a castigation from Beth, I just don't think her "E" is worth 39.99, maybe start at 1 cent and work your way up with bids. It'd be more fun that way.
Would be quite redundant and spammy if part of the game was to place bids for something fictitious. The actual point of interest would be the creativity and humor put into the item description, but hey knock yourself out. If you wanna talk about eBay buying habits, then knock yourself out as well. Doesn't matter to me, jus wanted to give the idea a shot.

An interesting concept for a sort of game I had gotten. What this idea entails is pretty much taking anything from OB, whether it be a thread or something having to do with a member, something virtually well known enough for most people to appreciate the post, and putting it/him/her on sale on eBay. This should include what the item is, the price, and a description of the item, pretty much anything in classic eBay format. I shall start it off with an example: * * * * * Item:SunfallE's "E" Seller: BKStyles (2129) Price: 39.99 S&H: 4.98 Condition:Used Item Description: You are bidding on the very "E" in Otaku Lounge moderator SunfallE's name! As a personal collector of all sorts of things rare and common, I have personally taken the E off of her name and you can be the lucky owner of a used, but a very good condition "E"! Without her "E", SunfallE is just Sunfall. Be the owner of this historical event in which one of OB's moderators will have to be forced to be known by only part of her name! Own her "E" now! Put it on your name: Put it on your wall! Or wear it around your neck! You can do pretty much anything with SunfallE's "E"! Don't delay on this extraordinary deal! Next day shipping is available, paypal preferred. All sales are final, there will be NO REFUNDS. Bid with confidence, and enjoy SunfallE's "E" now! It was massive. Its frame was intimidating to say the least, it almost shone like a star in space. It was at the point where the transport ship was close enough that there was nothing within the screen's peripheral vision but the ship itself. Even further away, it was easy to tell how the giant flagship dwarved the common Versilan battleship by far. It's elongated and transformed quadratic design gave the ship a strong foundation and a fort like atmosphere, and plenty of places to station armaments and storage containers. The pictures of the ship in reports, briefings, or books did it little to no justice. "This is The Creator...how magnificent. Much more fitting for an officer of my calibur. Commander Scorer must be very proud indeed." Vallon said, admiring the ship and imagining himself taking his rightful place. The dark haired woman dressed in the Space Forces security uniform glanced over at him momentarily and then turned her head back as if staring into the sun. The pilot of the transport patched a connection through to The Creator and promptly announced their ETA of fifteen minutes. Time passed as the crew of The Creator went about any business they had to attend to, meanwhile the transport ship docked safely in the bay of the ship. Workers and other crew members alike began gathering around the area after hearing about the impending arrival of the ship's new sub-commander. A commotion started outside as those who have heard of Vallon spoke of him and those who havn't, wondered aloud what kind of person he was. The envoy were the first to leave the ship and make way through the crowd. Vallon stood up in place and cracked a satisfied grin on his face, his left eye twitching slightly from the pent up excitement. He looked over at the woman, who only just stood up as he did. Vallon raised his eyebrow slightly and turned to her. "Perhaps you'd like to explain to me why you've been keeping such an interested eye on me since we've left the base, hm? I don't need any security if that's your role here." he commented. He moved a bit closer to her, keeping the grin on his face. She just stared at him and stood still. "I do my job, just like you will do yours, sir. Please do not be angry with me." she responded. Vallon couldn't help but laugh to himself as he put himself within arm's reach. He extended his right arm and placed it on the woman's shoulder, as if assuring her of something. He closed his eyes and dipped his head in enough to take in her scent, rather blatantly at that. "Angry...what a silly thing to say. Surely i'm not so monstrous?" Vallon facetiously inquired. He turned away and began walking toward the platform, followed by the woman. The tall dark-haired figure emerged into sight of the crew of the Creator, warranting a mixture of reactions. He smiled mischieviously as he walked down the path his envoy cleared for him, taking in the atmosphere of what he perceived as a warm welcome. They stepped onto the bay turbo lift and headed up to the top level of the ship where Jared's personal quarters was located. Vallon observed each level as they passed it through the transparent walls of the lift, taking in the basic designs of each level and noting any noteworthy places of more detailed visits from just sight alone. One of the lieutenants of the envoy cleared his throat to gain Vallon's attention, and handed him a folder. Vallon eyed the man oddly and slowly took it. He had thought it was weird that he had yet to receive any sort of paperwork concerning his appointment, but then he also figured that probably would have been handled by Jared himself. "Hm, what's this?" Vallon wondered as he opened it up only to find the lift and detailed profiles of slaves on board the ship. He raised his eyebrow and flipped through them before turning to the Lieutenant. "Commander Scorer will speak to you personally about all of your major duties of course, but you will be needing these files once you've left his quarters." he told Vallon. 'Why in the world...' Vallon just squinted and closed the folder hastily with one hand. "Why would a bunch of worthless slaves concern me? If they aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing then have the security team dicipline them." Vallon spoke harshly, putting a directional emphasis on the last part of his comment toward the female security member across from him. The Lieutenant went to speak again but was silenced by a wave of Vallon's hand. "Don't misunderstand, I'm quite aware of the general duties I will have aboard this ship. But if I am to be bothered by every little detail concerning such matters, well what good are those I am to command? Surely, the soldiers aboard this ship aren't as needy. I'm here to win this war for the Empire afterall, not babysit." Vallon explained as he tucked the folder into his side pocket and adjusted his collar. The lift came to a halt and the six members stepped off. They led the way for Vallon and received contact from Jared to allow him entry. The security team member was allowed entry along with him, while the retrieval envoy returned to their posts. While inside, Vallon observed Jared's quarters and considered himself somewhat impressed by the kind of atmosphere he surrounded himself in. Jared was nowhere to be found though. Vallon walked in a little more and took it upon himself to be seated in the center of the room. "Do you like it? Your room will be very much to your liking as well then." came a voice toward the right side of the room. Vallon jerked his head around and noticed Jared standing in a doorway.
Feh! Then Paraxis should not have said this: "They will wake up separated from each other, finding themselves in a room from their memories. What lies beyond that room, no-one can foretell." Everyone has them in a room from their memories, you didn't say nothing else would be going on. I got the impression that the moment they left that room of 'memories' was when they would be entering The Ragnarok, like how Rach did it with the guy who worked at the bar. He was confronted by Celesta as he went from the last memory he had into the Ragnarok. *pokes Sandy* That's how I've been writing my posts as well. Naomi was reliving her last memory before she was taken and that room she was in was at work where she was confronted by her ex boyfriend. The moment she ran out the doors, she ran into the Ragnarok. :p At least that is how my reasoning is going. I can't say with Matt since he did not end his post in that manner. *pokes Matt as well*
It is implied that Ian would be transported once thrown into a jail cell *sticks tongue out at Crystia and pokes her*. I figured we were writing about how they got to the ragnarok, so I figured it wasn't necessary to spell out where they were once the post ended since it's rather obvious.

'Mortals are strange, the majority of them are dishonest with one another even when there is no reason to hide the truth. It seems no matter where they are, people have become far too adjusted to the idea of hiding behind false images of what they deem as ideal. Yet no energy is put into making that image a reality. Is something that will last the duration of their life really not worth pursueing to them?' Raone thought to himself as he watched as each soul chosen to participate in this "game" of Paraxis's was brought to light. "Raone, i'm interested to know whom of these pathetic mortals you would bestow your light on. None of them appear to be worth it." Illiriya commented, clearly unimpressed. Raone just straightened his posture and tapped his fingers against the shaft of his maul. "You never were the patient one. I'm afraid you'll find out the same time everyone else does." Raone responded, as he continued to watch on as the next mortal was made visible to the gods and goddesses. "Ian! It's Joshua! He's arm is injured, he was trampled by the guard's horses on the road!" a hysterical man screamed as he ran toward the tents of a small forest settlement. Ian Hughes stood up with a concerned look on his face and placed his quiver he was sewing on the grass. "Harris, calm down. What has happened? Where is Joshua?" Ian asked. The old man he called Harries fell to his knees as he reached Ian's tent and began frantically pointing behind him. "The King's guards, they found out about our village. They are headed this way, I took Joshua with me to bring back more firewood when we were accosted! My deepest apologies for not being able to bring Joshua back. He did manage to get away though, he ran into the forest!" Ian stood up suddenly with a concerned look on his face. The settlement's defenses were out, only a handful of them were still present. Ian had made bows, arrows, and quivers in bulk for many years for people but was not actually a fighter himself. He knew his way around the art of archery of course, but never actually killed anyone before. He looked down at his box with his eyes fixed on it for a good five seconds before going to grab it. His hand began to shake as the reality of the situation began to sink in as he reached for the quiver. 'I have to tell Francis...but just five or six men won't be enough. I...I have to do my part too.' Ian thought to himself as he made his way for the head of the settlement's defenses, Francis's tent. After a few steps he stopped at the sound of the horses galloping, they were close now. Ian heard one of them scream to fire, as arrows flew through the air with little accuracy, obviously meant as intimidation shots. "Francis! The guards! They've come!" Ian screamed out as he ran up the hill toward his tent. He ran as fast as he could and reached the tent, he pulled the opening aside, only to be met with a blunt shot by a sword hilt to the face. Ian fell backwards hard clutching his chin with both hands, fighting not to make a moan of pain. He stumbled over to all fours and crawled away instinctively leaving his bow behind. He struggled to stand again but he soon felt the stinging sensation of having the back of his leg cut by a sword. "Argh! Damn..." Ian muttered, clinching his teeth from the pain. He looked up at his attacker, he wore chainmail with the emblem of the King. 'They've pincered the village? How could they have known...is...is there a spy?' Ian thought to himself as he tried to back up but a tree blocked his way. 'Dammit...I've got to do something so I can help the villagers get to safety...' Ian ducked the swing of the guard's sword and scrambled as best he could with his injured leg through the leaves and dirt and lunged at his bow. His hands were still shaking, he picked it up but it was as if he wasn't even sure what to do with it. The guard advanced again and tried to stab downward but Ian rolled out of the way and spilled downhill. Ian huffed and puffed as he reached behind his back and pulled a single arrow out from the quiver. He pressed it up against the bow and struggled to get it in place right. His nerves were getting to him, but he wasn't sure if it was fear or anxiety. He held the bow ready to fire and observed the top of the hill he fell down to see the guard. Seconds passed and nobody showed their face. 'Where...where did he go...where did he go!?' Ian only heard the sound of footsteps and horses but nothing near him. He backed up slowly, moments later hearing the snapping of a branch within his vicinity. He turned his body quickly to look but saw nothing. Ian put himself at a temporary ease as he turned around intent on finding some of the people he can lead away from the forest. He turned slowly but bumped into another person with his arm before seeing him. "Get away!" Ian yelled as he drew back his bowstring again out of self-preservation and let it go before he could even get a firm grip on the furthest pull back point. The arrow soared three feet infront of him and pierced the person infront of him. He dropped to his knees as blood covered his body, the arrow sticking out from his abdomen. Ian's eyes grew large though as he realized only seconds later that it was not a guard he shot. "...god....oh god...J...Joshua! JOSHUA HOLD ON." Ian screamed as he lifted the head of his youngest son up. Joshua tried to speak, but the wound had taken him quickly. He lay dead in his father's arms, his eyes wide open and lifeless, his shoulder length brown hair trailing in the dirt. Ian shook and cried with blood on his fingers. He had finally done it, he had killed someone with the very arrows he made...and his first victim...was his own son. He stayed there until he was discovered by the king's guards, but at that point he didn't care. "Alright rebel scum, you'll enjoy the confines of the dungeon before your execution!" one of them said, tieing Ian's hands together and forcing him away.
Hiya all. Haven't been around for a while so I don't know how the situation in the Arena is going. So how is the quality of the RPGs being posted? Does it stack up to what you knew of the past RPGs posted in OB? What do RPers want these days? What elements of an RP do you look at before signing up? I'm thinking of coming back summer break for me. Don't know what kind of RP I might make, but we'll see. And this question is out of pure curiosity. When you look at signing up to an RPG, does it matter who posted it? Thanks for reading my rambling. - B
Welcome back dearest ;), glad you have the time to post again. Missed ya on OB quite a bit. I'll start off by saying that the quality has pretty much reached a new standard, the arena regulars change from time to time and with the variety of people who participate comes multiple styles of RPs versatile in nature in terms of genre representation and innovation. I'd say some of the latest successes and "fads" if you will would be good examples of this, such as The Death Card Series as it has come to be called, which incorporates the idea of mutual control over a cast of characters with many elements of the unknown and much freedom to create the very world that serves as the RP's setting. As it's been mentioned already there has been an uprising so to speak of the sci-fi genre in the forms of Project Starship and Silver One: Civil War to name a couple. Both traditional style RP writing with usage of guideline PMs to bring together a story with seperate yet cohesive objectives to accomplish through any means you can imagine. Stricter traditional style of RPs are still going strong, any style with the right combination of people can really bring out the potential of an RP, so i'd say the quality and variety of RPs are doing rather well. While I admit to having attachments to some past RPs as well as some now less-active (or MIA) RPers I considered to "comrades" in the arena, if you will, I have yet to lose interest completely in projects posted up. In terms of elements of an RP, the most important have not really changed. The concept has to be interesting enough to lure the RPer in, then the sign up sheet has to allow a good equilibrium of freedom and restrictions (i.e to avoid god modding and characters that would not fit in with the story's atmosphere), and there has to be enough to the story itself to combine ample opportunities for interaction, progress, conflict, and anticipation. Innovation finds its way into RPs easier these days it seems, as I mentioned with the outside communicatin form and the elements of unknown and mystery that enhance the motivation to keep interest. Ratings seem to be less prominent in choice making then they used to be as well. If it happens to be an RP based off of an already existing concept, such as a spin off of an anime or game, it very much helps if it's an exceptional representation of that particular source. For instance, I would typically stay away from a Naruto or Star Wars RP unless the concept and story have an original and stimulating feel to it. As for if the creator of the RP matters, only in the way that it's safe to expect good ideas from someone based on their track record or initial promise of the sign up thread. Many reliable RPers and oldies have created duds, many newer members have created hits, and of course the vice-versa happens. The most important features for a sucessful RP are the participant's willingness in addition to the ability for the creator to maintain interest long enough for not only the RPers but himself as well. Pertaining to the effect certain characters have outside of OB, it's no secret that I've used characters I have created for RPs in stories of my own, as well as even created an RP based on a story I have been writing. Because writing is so important to me, to receive new ideas everytime I participate in an RP whether it be character ideas or inspiration toward another aspect, needless to say makes an impact on my life by impacting one of my most treasured hobbies. I also wish to instill these kinds of feelings when I take what to create RP wise into consideration, as well as stories I hope to post in the Anthology someday. Anyway, if the RP you're talking about is the one we've talked about before when you kept saying you wanted to wait for a good time to put it up, you know you can cout on my participation already. Something of similar concept has yet to be done really since the last time we've talked about it. Even if it isn't the same one, I trust you'll come up with something interesting :).

Raone leaned gently on his golden maul and paid no heed to the others around him. He knew most of them well enough, inside and out...whether they had volounteered the information or not. Their affairs interested him little, he only spoke to them out of a sense of the requirement for idle time killing. Though he appreciated the genuine purity of Celesta, as that very image was silently projected from her gentle eyes. He also placed a more obscure appreciation for Bellana's beauty, something he'd more than often forsake in exchange for more righteous thoughts. He admonished the attitude of his brother Telumas and considered himself above such breeds of disposition. "Those glowing eyes of yours never reveal your thoughts, great God of Light and Truth. Perhaps you'd like to give us some insight into how you feel about this situation?" spoke Paraxis, curious to everyone's reaction to the gathering. Raone stared silently downward as the souls began to become clear. He didn't turn his head but responded in reference to the question. "This game of yours may be unjust, but even I must admit to the temptation of the prize. To create a righteous world, it appears one must partake in shady practice." Raone replied, hinting almost at a slight satisfaction of his participation. "Temptation, what a word to use Raone. I think we'll be seeing much of that during this little event." Bellana spoke in a sultry voice, running a single finger down her long and wavy hair. Those words seemed to put quite the grin on Treisleilai's face, if such a feat was possible physically. The senses betwen the gods and godesses were almost keen enough to detect such inner reactions. At least those that played more obviously and predictable to their own personalities. Each of them represented some definitive form of character known well enough within their little group. "Perhaps we should just watch on, my dear comrades." Raone insisted. * * * * * A shrill yet somewhat muffled scream pierced the wind that blew the flames even further across the temple grounds. Debris fell from roofs of the buildinds and tree branches incinerated within seconds of hitting the ground. More screams could be heard in greater number from outside of the walls of the shrine of worship. The frightened girl looked up from her huddled like stance and hastened toward the wall only to collapse to her knees when she got there. So...hot...I can't move... she said to herself as she began to cry at the thought of those around her burning to death or being crushed underneathe debris. She was too afraid and shaken up to even notice her garment had caught on fire. She scratched at the walls of the wooden built shrine meekly before turning her sweat emblazoned face to her back. Realizing she didn't have the strength to do anything but escape her clothing, she pulled herself out of her robe and crawled as far as she could into a corner that was still untouched. She couldn't stand it anymore, her vision began to blue and every movement she made felt like it made her body heavier and heavier. She was now leaning against the wall against her will as her eyelids shuttered like a camera, and finally closed completely. The young girl's limp body lay there motionless as the heat from the flames claimed her consciousness. The last sounds she heard were that of her mother's hysterical voice calling out her name... Nagi! NAGI! NAAGI! ANSWER ME! HEAVEN PROTECT ME SO I CAN SAVE MY LITTLE GIRL! Darkness...but moments later a shine. Nagi's eyes fluttered open and her body felt as if ready to jolt, but her lack of energy deprived her of such a physical reaction. Her mind was in a haze and her body was nearly drained of strength to the point of imitating starvation. Her hair seemed shortened, and sloppy tossed about...singed was more the appropriate term. What had happened? All she remembered...were the sudden arrival of flames, and horses galloping outside the temple grounds. That was followed up by the screams...and then she remembered her struggle. Was she dead? Where was she? "Have I...been spared?" Nagi spoke weakly, only able to move her eyes.
*poke* Because I want to find out what's going on! lol That and I want to post again but I was waiting to see what some of the other objectives were. Hehe. That and I'd be sad if this died. :p Oh and to be clear... that poke is meant solely for you BKstyles! I already poked Beth in person when I was over at her house earlier. :D
*waves hand in a sleepy fashion* Yes yes, I intend on posting. Don't forget everyone though that there is no posting order and you do not have to wait for everyone to have posted once to throw something in. Edit: Before moving on or going through with any discussed decisions, I'd appreciate it if Disenchanted, Sakura, and The Boss gave some sort of update on their status or intentions concerning the RP. A response within the next day would be great if you are able.
Since this thread is already 5 pages and will probably move very fast, I will answer the first post only. No sex untill marriage. Not only are there social reasons for that, including the influence of the church, and the general disrespect associated with it, but it is also good for people's health. The fact is once you are married you are supposed to stay with that person forever, which means any STDs that person might be carrying will only be shared between you two and not spread to anyone else. If you have sex before marriage, you run the risk of getting or transmitting an STD, and then not ending up with that person, which is almost guaranted to result in that STD getting spread to anyone that you or your ex then go with. There is also the fact that no contraceptive is 100% efficient, even the most well known and highest effectiveness of them is still only 99%, and that 1% that it fails does in fact happen regularly. Normally that would be an acceptable risk, but the consequences of that risk can easily ruin three lives or more in a single incident and is not worth the risk.
I'll try to be as nice as possible, but while you are in fact right about the 99% recorded efficiency (aside from sterilization mind you, that is 100% effective), you are far overestimating the possibility of the 1% in the most effective contraceptives (condoms and diaphrams) happening. Protected sex is an amazingly effective way to have sex, enjoy it, and be safe from STDs. Too often is an overexaggeration, and i don't know where your "facts" are coming from. You may just happen to know one too many people that have failed at using it propery, but there are reasons for heightened chance at contraceptive failure as well. It's most dependant on the compentency of the person though, so if you choose not to have sex because you feel you are too inept to use contraceptives correctly or simply because you just don't want to take a chance that isn't there...then by all means. There are appropriate ways to go about everything though, including sizing and maintaining a diapragm properly or applying condoms correctly and washing if you are afraid of an infection. But saying that you should wait for marriage so you don't run the risk of contracting an STD, you are way out there. We're not even talking about you failing to realize that not everyone is so saintful that theydon't cheat on their spouses. Even assuming you stay faithful, there are other ways of contracting an STD that doesn't involve intercourse. Another BS located in your answer is no sex until marriage being good for your health. Regular sex, especially resulting in ejaculation for men is very good for your health. It keeps you active and burns many calories, it is a preventative measure toward testicular cancer, and can serve as a detection mechanism for possible problems, such as experienced pains that will alert one to an otherwise seemingly dormant condition or the symtpoms of an STD or other disease that would only show signs during a vigorous activity. As long as it's done correctly and safely, there's very little to worry about. I can see you are trying to make a valid point because you've connected several ones together fluidly, but you're under multiple misconceptions I assure you. It sounds more like you're speaking from religious influence yourself and are omitting the aspect of logical thinking in your reply. Don't get me wrong, that's fine if you are really a devout follower, but don't cheat yourself out of the truth if you are going to be that way.
Sorry, but I disagree. Sex shouldn't just be something that is done because the possibility is there. The fact that there is no particular 'perfect moment' shouldn't dictate your decision to do it any more than the possibility of said moment. Sex, to me, is a little more intimate. I only really want to share it with one person. Having sex with multitudes of people isn't even comprehendable.
By all means, do not misunderstand me. I do not recall saying or even alluding to that you should forsake the "right moment" for any available possibility. I was saying that there are such things as special moments, however YOU have to make them, YOU have to work for them, YOU play a very instrumental part in a moment or time being special. You cannot wait for it, THAT is the wrong way to go about it. It isn't going to one day come in the form of a shadow that blesses you on your 18th birthday on a full moon or whatever else idealistic fantasies people want to believe they are entitled to. I couldn't have explained it better then how I did in my previous post, so again...by no means am I saying everyone should have sex when a moment arises. Unless of course you want to. Everyone is different.
Wow. I never knew "Insert Tab A into Slot B" meant the same as "I love you, and I want to be with you forever". It's amazing! Despite how "essential" sex is made out to be, it's still only sex, and I want more out of a relationship than knowing that I'm going to knock-up a girl in the name of my love for her. I like the metaphysical aspects of love. Oh, and as for sex before marriage - do what you want. I don't care. Of course, this is only my opinion.
Lol, Beth and Crystia you guys are saints for being able to address this with a serious face ;). I think the simple answer here is that it's pretty much a given that a relationship can't last on sex alone, and you're not really breaking any new grounds there buddy. But hey, you found a way to get into the conversation I guess. Eventhough you answered a misconceived understanding on your part with an unintentional (or intentional perhaps, maybe you meant to do it, who knows) tangent off into sex must automatically mean your knocking a girl up. In any case, getting back on track, James is definitely right. You can ask any of my ex girlfriends (or close female friends) they will tell you that i'm a glutton for the hugs and cuddling and what not. Of course I love sex, but it's the little aspects of physical contact that make me feel really comfortable. It's beyond important to have that kind of closeness if you are intending on maintaining a serious and close relationship. Even if you aren't the affectionate type, you aren't going to go a couple of years while maintaining romantic interest on just "Yo, sup" and a nod everytime you see each other.

Gaming I'm looking to find the greatest RPG game out there. Any thoughts?
*smack* How could you mention Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and leave out the sequel Lunar 2: Eternal Blue? :p Both games are fantastic even if it's a ps1 game. So to get it you'd have to find a seller instead of going directly to a shop. The game play is older of course, but the story line with Lunar 2: Eternal Blue having more than an hour's worth of anime cut scenes woven into the storyline, is engaging and funny. It makes the game well worth playing. And both of them have secondary quests that you do after you've beaten the main boss. Both of them are easily my favorite RPG's of all time. In fact... I'm currently playing Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete again at this very moment. :catgirl:
Lol, I can mention one without the other because as great a game Lunar 2 is, it isn't on the level SSSC is. One definitely stands out more than the other, but they are both great games. Plus um, Nall rules :animesmil Also, I didn't think bout mentioning it because I find that most people who are looking for a great or epic RPG do not typically look toward this genre specifically (I don't either, but they are quite fun to play), but if you're into SRPGs I very highly suggest Vanguard Bandits and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance -

That negative comment about Xenogears couldn't have disgusted me more :animeangr. A lot of great games have already been mentioned, but Xenogears certainly tops the list easily for people who enjoy a thorough opportunity to immerse themselves in a more indepth than usual story. Remember that the majority of the best games out there do not have the best graphics, hence why graphics are more a luxury than a requirement for an outstanding experience. To each their own though. In any case, the Final Fantasy series is pretty much a given, 6-8 especially. Since most of the ones that top my list have already been said i'll go ahead and toss a couple that havn't been yet in Legend of Legaia and Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Lunar is heavy on the adventure and smooth-flowing side, with your classic magic and steel themes that plays out to be a fantastic representation of its genre. Legaia offers one of the most innovative takes on the traditional RPG battle system ever and makes it fun from beggining to end, and offers a great series of events and a decent story. Both are PS1 games.
