1. Gotta be honest here. I hated the series for the longest time. I first played 2, and beat it but was left with a less than stellar after feeling. I didn't want to play any of the others, but when my friend got RE4 for GC, it looked like a completely different game. My other friend wanted it so i got it for him as a christmas gift, and since he leaves his GC at my house most of the time since he only really plays when hes over here, i decided to pick it up one day and see what it was like. I really liked RE4, the free-aim system was a great addition, the graphics were awesome and the gameplay itself was pretty fun. Definitly a step up from the boring redundancy the previous games exhibited. Not to mention the actual fight with
Krauser (not the sequenced knife fight)
was one of the funnest bosses to fight.
 2.
How can they not know who the characters are if they watched the movie. Yet I think that just sealed the deal. I am defintly getting a Wii first before many of the other systems. Well..I am not to sure yet. However when I first realised that I missed the trailer at E3. However this greatly makes up for it.I mean I am still in awe at what those wierd power up things really did. I just want to explode at the anticipation. Yet like many other people in this thread will probaly say in the future. how would one play out snake in such a battle? I am pretty sure he is going to have a pistol of some kind with him. maybe his combat knife for close combat, yet what else? Him and Metaknight though I look foward to owning people with them. I wonder if they are going to carry over the secret characters from Meele to this though.
...this is assuming everyone has seen the movie, the very same people who do not wish to know for whatever reason would be those who did not wish to or simply have not yet seen the movie o_O. As for sealing the deal...I need a bit more personally but SSBB is a good start. But i guess this is also considering that i'm already planning on getting a PS3 (one way or another...everytime i look at the release price it makes me hug my bank card tightly). I also imagine snake will have some kind of grenade move, probably something to do with the cardboard box (block perhaps) and his throws will probably be CQC moves.
 3. I still can't quite get a grip on how much time it will take to get used to the Wii controller style, but the game looks awesome. Especially with
Snake
as a new playable character. Amongst other new characters we have
Metaknight, Pit, Zero suit samus, and Wario
. Put up spoiler tags just in case there are people who don't want to know who the new characters are.
 4. My goals, however unrealistic or realistic they may be (in no particular order): 1 - Write a giantly succesful storyline and bring it to life in some form (anime series, tv series, movie, etc) 2 - Visit Japan for a long term (weeks/months) and study/immerse in the culture 3 - Human psychological transcendence 4 - Find a girl with intellegence, the more important common interests, and not have to worry about getting screwed over. 5 - Have a threesome (2 girls obviously) - (hey i'm a comfortably straight guy and i'd be lying my *** off if i said i didn't want one) 6 - Learn how to draw well. 7 - Become financially succesful with a satisfying and enjoyable career (this kind of correlates with goal #1) 8 - Learn how to cook well. 9 - Get a dog 10 - One day repay my mother back for everything shes done for me.
 5. I would love to see another continuation of Tenchi Muyo, it never seems like they can go wrong with the great characters. Each series was halarious and deep in story at the same time. Wouldn't mind seeing another Trigun actually, about the way Vash is living his life post-first incident and possible new threats or the types of things he does in
memory of Wolfwood.
. Also wouldn't mind seeing another Outlaw Star series.
 6. Mister Softy! (good humor is better) gretsaat nailtast Hint: Sci-fi television
 7. I get a lot of my box sets from amazon or ebay, though you have to be very careful when going around and paying attention to the descriptions and region codes. The most expensive box set i have payed for was $50 though, and I have around 10 anime box sets. Most of them are like $25-$45, sometimes cheaper and they are legit with good quality and if they are japanese audio the eng subtitles are usually pretty decent. But yeah, i don't believe in buying just volumes at a time. If your gonna buy animes your better off getting the whole set so you can watch the entire series.
 8.
in my opinion Cloud should like Aeris Ill take Tifa >_> she looks like a Les to me. [/COLOR'] :animeshy:
I think it would be tragic if she was, but if shes bi then that's cool with me, heh. And tatsubei, i've gotten dates with all 3 members. Theres 2 events for each person and if you trigger them in their favor thats what leads up to the date. I know off the top of my head a few of them, 1 is
If you give the flower to marlene in stead of tifa, thats a point for barret, and if u give it to tifa its a point for her. Another is if you don't take the pheonix down treasure from the next in the coral mountains thats a point for tifa and if you do it's a point for barret, another is if you buy the flower at all from aeris thats automatically a point for her, and so on.
So at the point in gold saucer, whoever you have the most points with is cloud's date. You can choose to ignore one of the 1 the whole time in battles or even talking but if you have triggered the events based on choices you must make in their favor, they will still be your date. When you get barret all he does is sleep anyways.
 9. Avenged Sevenfold lcbak ehaty Hint: Dog of the military
 10. I too dislike some liberties that are taken with transfers between mangas and animes sometimes. I've noticed quite a few noticeable differences with naruto specifically but nothing that destroys my want to watch it. Also i just wanted to make a special mention about episode 101 which is probably one of the funniest episodes in the series in which it involves
the genin trying to get kakashi's mask off
. Good for a watch and a few laughes for those who watch via youtube or in no particular order. I came across it a few days ago while i was watching the box set.
 11. Anime is up there in interests with other things such as RPGs, sports, wrestling, etc etc. So i can if i have to, but as long as i keep getting box sets and theres nothing better on TV, i'll be watching animes. Still a lot of anime series i have yet to get into that i want to, so i won't be quitting anytime soon.
 12. I enjoy pretty much any kind of spicy/curry food. Most chinese foods, and turkey. Im not very picky when it comes to food, but i only really won't eat eggs or seafood (in contradiction to my asian side, heh). I've always wanted to eat at an actual ramen house though, see why Naruto likes it so much.
 13. Well since writing has always been one of my strongest points, naturally anime has had (and still has) a giant influence on my dreams and goals involving writing. Though it will never happen due to certain circumstances (for one i don't speak japanese and i don't have the money to chance even trying to break into the business), i would love to write original story ideas for new mangas or animes, which in a way i already do but nothing beyond my own personal folder of stories and whatnot. Another of the biggest things that stops me from being succesful in that category is i'm a terrible artist. I couldn't draw the characters i create for all my stories if i tried (and i have). One of my current goals it to become a writer and director here in the states for whatever (television, movie, etc etc) or if not a director as well, something that has to do with creative writing. The anime industry is a distant dream in that aspect. But i suppose it's worth having all the ideas down on paper in some fashion for my own enjoyment. But revealing them on a large scale and being revered for it into fame and fortune is nice to think about too, lol.
 14. If this little get together were in my area, than absoutely. I'm always willing to meet more otakus like myself (especially cute female otakus, heh). Something like this probably wouldn't happen on a large scale, not to mention i don't even think any of the normal posters here are from my area. Little chance of this becoming a reality due to circumstances aforementoined, but it's an interesting idea to ponder.
 15.
Lord of Spirits has a good song from a hilarious movie quoted in his signature, and Chii from chobits makes a very cute avatar =D[/FONT']
Funny banner in sig, funny thing is i've read around 8 or 9 shakespeare books (mainly for class) but hamlet was never one of them. And i hope is a girl since she(?) said i smelled good a page back, lol.
 16.
Leon Fury is a very deep person :catgirl:
Evil monkey in the closet! (whos not really evil, just misunderstood :animecry: )
 17. Im a writer myself, so i like the custom title of "The writing writer".
 18. Hehe, i remember Tomba. I had a demo of it, and it made me want to rent it. I eventually bought it after that because i thought it was fun as hell. Not one of those games where id take to a deserted island with me over all others but a fun game nonetheless. And stafal-chan - Star Ocean: The second story is the one on PS1 that everyone is talkin about. It is the sequel to the first Star Ocean that came out for the SNES. Not an american release however.
 19. Im all for the idea of anime marathons and what not, with all the box sets i have it's easy for me and my friends to do that, but i dunno if i would go to the extent of skipping over my prom for it. I went to my senior prom, and i went to the senior prom during my junior yearand enjoyed both. I'm an otaku but i definitly have an outside life as well, now something like a family get together....thats a dif story, heh.
 20. Heh, well in one of my earlier posts i mentioned i'm a dog lover, so you can imagine how i felt during the Flame vs Fullmetal episode when
Riza shoots a clip around Hyate when he pees on the wall
. Same usually goes for Akamaru in Naruto whenever he gets hurt.
 21. Copied and pasted from my post in the "Good RPGs" thread in this section: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assuming most people felt that the era of really great RPGs ended with the release of the former next gen systems, i won't discuss too many PS1 RPGs...but for most RPG fans it speaks for itself that the PS1 harbored some of the absolute best...such as many installments of the great Final Fantasy series (1-9 can be found on the PS1), my second favorite RPG of all time Xenogears...Square's masterpiece that dosen't begin with Final or end in Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross can be found on the PS1...Trigger speaks for itself amongst the older RPG fans, it obviously revolutionized the 16-bit RPG and offered a timeless and captivating story. Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, Lunar SSSC, Lunar 2, Persona are just a few non-square titles for the PS1 that should make every RPG fan's honors list. Virtually anything with the Squaresoft/Square-enix or Atlus brands are worth playing simply by that criteria alone. Some are better than others, and each may have 1 or 2 duds (IMO Saga frontier could have used some work), but the overwhelming majority leads to a good to great experience. But of course they aren't the only ones who can put out a good RPG. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I made mention of pretty much the bulk of the elite in the PS1 category. Assuming pretty much everyone has played FF7, I would reccomend strongly to anyone that hasen't played many PS1 RPGs and who want to experience the absolute best to play Xenogears, Chrono Cross, and Lunar: SSSC above the others. But they certainly aren't the only ones worth playing. I own 40+ PS1 RPGs, and have played and beaten around 50 (the only ones i've played pretty far into but don't recall beating for whatever reason are Thousand Arms and Legend of Mana) and out of the whole bunch there was probably 2 or 3 i didn't like too much. PS1 RPGs overall score a 9.8 out of 10 from me.
 22. Yeah, that episode (the aforementioned Night of the Chimera's Cry episode) and
Hughes's death episode
are the saddest ones in the series IMO. Enough to bring some tears out. But on a lighter note, the ep where
Basque Grand gets his brains splattered by Scar
is coming up soon.
 23. Hm, for a full list of my favorites and reasons: Roy Mustang - The arrogant and often sarcastic guy who loves to command the loyalty of his people, and he does. He seems to be un-caring but is a more than capable leader and always knows what to do in every situation. He is fearless and is admired and supported by all of his followers. And of course he is a powerful alchemist with a handy and brutal ability. Mustang i think portrays one of the most amounts of character maturation throughout the story. Ed - I don't usually like the main characters too much as my favorites, atleast not in comparison to others in the series (with exceptions of a few, FMA included obviously). But as i mentioned above, Ed follows a tremendous journey within himself and shows the most amount of maturation in his character development and progression. He is a clever and resourceful alchemist as opposed to powerful, and usually has enough knowledge to take care of himself in most situations. Riza Hawkeye - She is the ideal picture of stability and loyalty. She dosen't fight for the state, but for the people she decided on her own whom she must protect and support. She is probably one of the most mature characters initially in the series and handles her weapon quite well. Greed - The coolest of the homunculi IMO. Cool attitude and like Mustang commands the loyalty of many followers. He has one of the cooler powers amongst the homunculi, and despite his name he becomes one of the characters you want to feel sympathetic for. Envy - The homunculi i think fit's his name the best. He offers little or no loyalty to the collective goal of the homunculi and uses every oppurtunity he can to torment the brothers and to ultimatley get to their father. He is portrayed excellently through his hatred for mankind and his implicit desires to relive what was once his life. Oh, and Black Hyate :D. I'm a dog lover.
 24. Ed is definitly a main character with plenty of depth and color. I enjoy how he is portrayed and how his maturation is shown both internally and externally as he progresses on a single journey that branches off into so many that changes him and his brother. He is quick witted most of the time and offers plenty of comic relief, especially when being called a pint-sized shrimp and such. He is one of my favorite main characters in an anime series, alongside Vash. Majority of other times im much more into the supporting characters and the antagonists.
 25. I enjoy watching my box sets at night as well, the atmosphere for whatever reason is more enjoyable and i can be fully focused on them. Just finished watching the last episodes of my full metal panic box set a few hours ago. Got a few more i have to watch , some i've seen already some i haven't. My next target is the whole rurouni kenshin set though. Though sometimes, usually on saturdays i'll watch the animes AS has on, since sat usually has a pretty good lineup.
