Wouldn't be much of a final fantasy fan if i didn't atleast post my appreciation here. My thoughts of one of the best (if not the best) RPG series would go far beyond the allowed space here, so i won't delve deep into it but i've played 1-X2, tactics and a few others and i am and will remain a faithful for as long as they keep making them. I'm more of a fan of the earlier ones, with the exception of 7 being my top favorite (unless you wanna consider that one an "earlier" one as well then so be it) but the series has established itself far too well in every aspect of RPGs for me to be convinced that any of them are less then excellent. Uhhh...random FF thoughts: Favorite male chars: Squall, Vincent, Locke, Setzer,Sephiroth, Kuja. Favorite female chars: Tifa, Aerith, Celes, Quistis, Beatrix, Rikku. Favorite summons: Bahamut, Odin, Tritoch, Doomtrain, Anima. Favorite soundtracks: Eh...way too many to even summarize (don't know why i put this here, lol) Favorite airship: Blackjack and Ragnarock. Misc favorites: Moogles, Midgar, Locke's antics, Tifa's attire, FF9 ending, um...most everything. And there you have my lazy summary...

Defintly a Naruto fan, it's somewhere on my top 5 (that isn't 1). I admit it started off a bit slow for me, but i really started getting into it during the later squad training from season 1. My favorite part was the second part of the chounin tests through the end of the tournament. In this part the unique abilities, growth in power and maturity, and reasons for motivation of the genin are explained and shown. I really started to solidfy a lot of my favorite characters here. That is what i believe to be Naruto's biggest strength, it's characters. They is a large variety and many of them with detailed backstories and progression. It is a great source of action as well, with a decent storyline. I've only seen up to episode 70 something, but looking forward to seeing the rest whenever i can get my hands on em. ------------------------- I suppose this thread could breed possible spoilers for those who have not yet seen the chounin test and tournament episodes, i'll try to keep my mine vague enough so not to give anything away. But im assuming the majority of the naruto fans here have seen these episodes. Simple to answer for me: Neji Hyuga: Thinks highly of himself, a genious, and one of the most powerful and useful abilities in the Byakugen which also allows for the most powerful taijitsu style. I indentify with him the most out of any of the others in terms of his intellegence and psychological aptitude. and Rock Lee: Rock lee is second to none in dedication and hard work, eventhough he has been labled as a dropout, it hardly piereces his iron will to become one of the best ninjas possible. And despite his lack of ninjutsu skills, his taijitsu skills (especially if you've seen his tournament fight) are incredibly badass to say the very least. To do what he can with only his body, legs, and fists is probably the most impressive achievements of any of the genin. I admit i knew very little about this series before i read a few plot summaries. I'm still deciding whether or not i should get into this one. I like taking each anime series from beggining to end 1 after another most of the time, once i get the boxset for fullmetal panic that will be my 10th series i believe once i finish it (which im sure i will because i've seen the first few episodes, and they got me interested). I realize that i could probably easily piece this together from multiple posts in this thread, but in an attempt to save myself the time and possibly rely on the good natured will to help from the members here (as well as avoiding any possible spoilers) i want to ask what this anime offers in terms of methods of captivating my attention. It seems like an "action-packed" anime but to what calibur i wonder, and what of the storyline and characters themselves? Any input is appreciated.

Seems this topic has been here for quite a while, but i need to post my thoughts since it is my top favorite anime. The storyline is excellent, i've never seen a more progressive and deep storyline in an anime then the one FMA presents. The brother's initial intent to
raise the dead for their personal gain after tragically losing their mother,
their seemingly selfish journey to reclaim what they lost as if they feel that the world owes them something just for maintaining it's eternal balance and role (life and death), to their realization that life is more complicated then they had first imagined and the reliance on other's for both emotional and supportive interjections as well as experiencing and enduring the real life through their own eyes and will is to blame for their maturation as individuals and as brothers to one another. The characters are colorful and respectively loveable and hateable. Ed is a roller coaster of emotions whether he shows it or not with extraordinary devotion to his brother, a true to nature good heart and a short stature...i mean temper! Well...both. Mustang is the unwavering idol of leadership and stability in the eyes of those who serve and meet him, though inside his past festers at him so that it fuels his primary goal in life almost solely. I could go on and on about each one, but i won't. The music is wonderful, i'm always a fan of orchestrated music in games or animes, or even in general. I can only really see minor flaws in the anime itself and it only really shows between ep 51 and the movie (no spoiler for those who haven;t seen it, don't worry). There is a great lapse of time which i suppose could be elaborated on a little more, but in no way does it make events hard to understand. Hardly detrimental to the masterpiece of a series. This is one topic i have a lot of favorites in, because of the wide variety. But for me Epyon reigns supreme. The design is awesome, and the giant beam sword fits his design perfectly. The heat rod is a nice addition as well, but the frame and detail is it's best features.

Anime Which series grabbed you from the start?
TheResplendent replied to Nekova's topic in Otaku Central
Fullmetal Alchemist: At first because the concept was different from the majority of animes i had already seen (FMA was the 7th or 8th series i began watching from beggining to end). By episode 3 i was very into with the intensity of the story between the brother's determined goal to defy equilibrium in order to bring their mother back, well explained in the alotted time, and from there it easily became my current number one favorite anime. Samurai Champloo: This is one series where the first and last episodes were the best of the series. The first fight between Mugen and Jin got me into it and i expected great things from it when i read that it was from the same ranks as cowboy bebop. I always liked Jin better for some reason. Trigun: I loved the mix between action and comedy portrayed in every episode, ep 1 being no different so therefore it was easy to captivate my attention from the get go. Vash and Wolfwood are two of my favorite anime characters alltogether. Most others i was interested in, but didn't really get into it until the later episodes, so i won't list them.
