1 ~ What is your NATURAL hair color/colors? My hair is a dirty blonde colour and turns quite light in the summer when the sun bleaches it. 2 ~ Have you ever dyed your hair? If so, what color[s]? Nope 3A ~ If you have, do you regret it? Has it damaged your hair? N/A 3B ~ If you haven't, do you want to? I'm not really sure. I like my hair colour the way it is now so I probably won't dye it any time soon. 4 ~ Are you satisfied with your current hair color? I guess I'll answer again but yes I'm happy with my current hair colour. 5 ~ What is your favorite style for your hair? [[long, short, bangs, etc]] I prefer to have longer hair(past my shoulders) because you can do some much with longer hair(put it in a bun, braid it, ponytail etc.). I however hate bangs. I've tried to have bangs but I found them too annoying. 6 ~ What kind of hair do you like in the opposite sex? Whatever suits them.

Do you chose to fight or not fight and whats the after math of it.
Lady Knight replied to a topic in General Discussion
I'd just like to say boys that your physical fights are not as bad as us girls at times. If you ever get the chance in your halls at school listen to how girls fight. The mental abuse girls put on each other is horrible. Since I'm a girl I've unfortunately had to be put through one of these mental fights and its a pain in the a*s and sometimes even a bit of a blow to your self esteem especially if the person hits on a sensitive spot. Girls in a sense are a bit smarter in how they fight because they play with you mentally and mental abuse lasts way longer than physical abuse. But I will admit this smartness is not an advantage in us. I personally try to stay away from fighting. If someone usually insulates me I just shrug it off. If they keep going and try to avraggate me I usualy just walk away but if they keep following me and keep going I eventually snap and turn back and say something nasty. I've got a quite a quick mind which can come to my advantage at times and I'm usually able to surprise them by what I said and get out of there before they try to fight back. As for physical fighting. If a guy ever tries to fight with me physically I am able to fight back. It takes a lot of effort because my arms arn't all that strong(they're getting stronger though cause I'm working at my barn :animesmil) but in gym class this year my school got a guy to come in to teach us girls self defence againest guys in case they attack us etc. So I do know a few moves. All in all I try to stay away from fighting either physically or mentally. In the end it usually turns messy in my experinces so I just try to avoid. If I have to face it...then its going to be a very long week... -
Every time there is a thunderstorm I hear "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel(sp?) playing through my head. One night as my dad and I were driving back from the cottage there was this amazing thunderstorm with lightning that would just light up the sky. One of the lightning bolts split into three sections and when we saw that the song was playing in the car(my dad loves Simon and Garfunkel). If I smell anything that smells like hospital I have bad memories of being in the hospital when I busted my elbow and when my grandpa was going through a rough stage in his health...horrid memories. The song "I could be your hero"( I think thats what its called) every time I hear it I see this guy at a drama festival that I went to sliding across the stage and signing that song to his girlfriend in the play who he cheated on. I have a lot more but I can't remember them all...it has to happen to me recently for me to remember it.
And global warming probobly won't cause mass hysteria in this generation. If it does happen it will probobly happen when most of us die. HEaring a news advertisenment it mentioned and I quite, Getting warmed up to the new weather patterns? Well get used to it. Studies show of permanent weather changes in the climate. It might not be global warming. It could just be NATURE not human resources.
Studies also show that it is not just NATURE but also US who are causing global warming. Science has proven through studies over the past 350k years( I think its that many...they had a chart in the video that went back over 300k years) that its our generation and our parents generation who have contributed most to global warming. Also in 50 years the predicted time when the Artic and Greenland will melt drastically causing the water level to rise up to 20 feet I will be 65 years old. A lot of the people posting right now on the Otakuboards will still be alive. So guess what its not just nature its also us so like many North Americans your choosing the we'll be dead when it happens so lets just leave our children to clean up the mess we made of our world it'll be their problem solution. For heavens sake if you could do something about it try to! I'm not saying become superman and save the world from global warming because its true...many people will turn a blind eye being the stubborn human race that we are. But if some people try to make a little bit of an effort then maybe...maybe our world has a chance. Sorry to lash out at you like that but it fustrats me when people turn a blind eye because its an inconevient truth(I love the title of the movie!) to acknowledge.

I'm going to bring up the issue of global warming. Now before all of you go pointing fingers at me and start calling me an environmental freak, tree hugger etc. I want you to watch this preview for this flim An Inconvenient Truth click below http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2078944470709189270&q=an+inconvenient+truth&pl=true I don't mean to advertise this movie but the preview has a lot of valuable facts in there. Imagine in about 50 years was the time predicted in the movie(I saw it) there could be more then 100 millon refugees because part of Greenland melted causing the sea level to rise. So I agree that there are many problems in this world at the current moment but one problem many people in North America are turning away from is global warming. People global warming is here and it isn't going to go away unless we start to do something about it. So some helpful little solutions to help prevent global warming from occuring is try to walk instead of drive or take the subway if your city has one. Don't waste electricity when your not using your computer shut it dow don't leave it running. Just small things like that could help prevent global warming from getting worse. If everyone in North America was a bit more concious(sp?) of the environment then we could help prevent global warming from doing more damage to our world. I also recommend going to see the movie because it will make you even more aware of the problem. I could say more but I think I'll end it here.

What could you not live without?
Lady Knight replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I could not as funny as this sounds to most people when I tell them I could not live without my horse. Now if your not a horse person no offence you wouldn't really understand. My horse is my best friend in the world. Thats right. She is. There's a famous horse quote that says "In riding horses we borrow freedom." That quote is true. After trying to help all my friends with their problems in their life then trying to figure out my own, making sure my grades are up and keeping up with all the co-curriculars that I do I need time to relax. I get to do that when I go up to the barn. I can hop on my mare bareback and go for a nice hack or I can throw the saddle on her and do lateral movements with her then go for a good gallop. She'd do anything for me. Yes she can be a little b*tch at times but in the end she'd never do anything to harm me. I guess to sum this up there is nothing that compares with galloping on a horse through the fields after a hard week at school to forget all your problems and everything... I know I sound crazy but take horseback riding lessons for a year or so and maybe just maybe you'll be able to understand me. -
I was reading Ezekiel post and this quote came to my mind which a friend once told me "The moment only lasts a second but the memory lasts a lifetime." The person who said it is unknown but I think it kind of fits in to this post. Every person on this earth desires something, something that is out of reach that they can't grasp. Sometimes people forget the rest of their life and the only road they see in life is for them to accomplish this one need, to finally posess it. Those people ignore the little things in life that make life...life. They are so blind to whats going on around them. Some people(which I think this posts is starting to revolve around) strive for love. They want it, they need it, they crave for it. Since they are so wrapped up in finding 'the one' they let things pass them by that shouldn't be passed by. Some of my fondest memories floating around in my mind are small insignifigant things that other people would wonder why I still remember that moment. But I do because its something that I couldn't forget...it was small but it stuck with me. It wasn't something big like fiding the love of my life but still it I guessed you can say it changed the way I look at things. To sum things up just let life take you where it takes you. I hope this post made sense because my thoughts can get quite jumbled at times.
His Dark Materials is probably the best book series I've ever read. The first book is The Golden Compass (or Northern Lights), the second is The Subtle Knife, and the final book in the series is The Amber Spyglass. If you're a fan of sci-fi and fantasy stuff these are required reading, and even if you aren't typically a fan of those genres you'd probably like them anyway as long as you aren't the ultra-conservative book-burning type. Of course the Harry Potter books are amazing, and if you finish all six of the currently books before the seventh book comes out you won't have to deal with major spoilers for the ending (I unfortunately had to cope with spoilers when reading HDM). Ditto on anything by Dan Brown. I also second the recomendation of Ender's Game and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Recently I read Elsewhere, a young adult book by a writer who lives pretty close by to me, and it's an amazing book that I feel everyone should read.
^ I agree the books by Philip Pullman and J.K. Rowling are some of my favourite reads. I also like the Sabriel series(sorry I forget the author). Another one of my favourites if you like historical-fiction are books by Philippa Gregory such as The Other Boleyn Girl and The Queen's Fool are also extremly good books.

Happy Birthday! I have story why the night shift is called the 'graveyard shift'. Well back in the 1500's I believe people would often get drunk. Well sometimes they would get so drunk they would be out cold for a day or so. Since people at first didn't know that the person was just drunk they'd burry the person thinking they were dead. They found out they were burying people alive when the plague struck and they would dig up coffins take the bones out and reuse the coffins. In some coffins they found scratch marks, showing that they buried the person alive. So they came up with a solution. They would tie a piece of thread around the dead or supposedly dead person's wrist and the string would run up through the coffin all the way up to the ground. At groundlevel the string would be attached to a bell, so if the 'dead person' moved their wrist at all the bell would ring. A person working at night in the graveyard would be on the 'graveyard shift' incase someone suddenly became conciousous and rang the bell, meaning they'd have to go dig the person up. That is the history on the graveyard shift saying. Sorry just thought I'd share that. I heard it from my Englsih teacher.
To become the most famous actor in your community or To become an actor on Broadway who no one really notices
I would rather be an actor on broadway. It would be so cool. I love being on stage. But I also like backstage work too, so if no one really notices me I don't mind, but just Broadway...wow, thats a dream many wish to achieve. Would you rather: have a boiling hot summer? or a freezing cold winter?

My perfect day would be one of those days where the temperature is between summer and fall so late august. I would horseback ride and do one of my all time favourite things, gallop. Through fields, just jumping over any log or obstacle in our way. To end my perfect day I would be then up at my cottage, sitting on the dock with my feet in the water, looking up at the stars and just...thinking...about everything. Then for a midnight swim...you don't have to worry about motorboats or anything, you can just, swim. I would then get out and fall asleep on the dock and of course there would be no bugs out to bite me. If that day could only happen! I wish my horse could go up to my cottage but that will most likely never happen. But my cottage at night is...beautiful. Thats my perfect day.
I wish for a singing cat.
^Viola, you now have a singing cat. Unfortunatly this cat only sings one song, which is the song that never ends, twenty four hours a day, 365 days, day and night. Unfortunatly you can't get rid of it either because it is charmed to be with you for life. How unlucky for you! I wish I could go to Italy again. :animesmil

I love the musical Les Miserables! Its a tad depressing(ok its depressing) but I love the songs and the characters! I love Cosette. When I went to see it the little girl was so good! Another one I like is Lion King. The costumes, the music, the lights just everything was so nicely put together. And of course Mama Mia. I love the story added to the Abba songs.
