I personally can see both sides of the argument. Yes, illegal immigrants are in fact?well, illegal, and therefore should not be demanding things that they are not entitled to, because they have not gone through the proper process of immigration. Demanding citizenship or language change (which I think is blown way out of proportion by the media FYI) is very brazen, and rude if you want my opinion. HOWEVER, on the other side, look at the US immigration process. It?s not that easy, and it can take years upon years. An older friend of mine was telling me a story about a friend of his who went through the citizenship application process, but decided not to stay in the US, and TEN years later, got information in the mail that she had been accepted. That?s ridiculous, on both sides. Many solutions to this have been suggested, including a free travel policy like in Europe, but that would most likely lead to mass immigration to the US. Also, people have suggested improving Mexico, but Clinton gave them massive support during his term(s) as it was, and that helped very little. Heres what SHOULD be done, but wont be done: Step1: Change the Immigration process. Make it easier, but not TOO easy. Make it faster, and snappy. I?m not a beaurocratic(sp!!) expert, so I wont go into specifics here, but you get the general idea. Step2: Screen the current illegal immigrants, and give the honest, taxpaying, well deserving ones citizenship, and let the rest be guinea pigs for the new immigration system. Or if screening them is hopeless (which it might be, since being illegal, there are most likely no documents or records on 95% of these people) just have all of them be first in line for this new process. Hell, maybe its even hopeless to change the immigration process, I?m not saying that I know for sure it can be done. But that seems right to me.

I was in my middle school's spelling bee, back in the day O.o;;. That was back when i actually cared about school, but i didnt fare too well anyway, i was the third person out if i remember correct...But i think its amazing that you're so great at this! And, hey, why not write a book about it? As of the past two years or so, the Spelling Bee has gotten much more recognition, seen on ESPN (no not "the ocho", if you get my corny joke) and it would probably be a good idea to capatalize on this growing competition. That aside, i'd like to say, congratulations again ~

Everyone has a certain thing that defines their life, that makes them different and unique from most people. Of course, other people might just share this same life definition, but, all the same, what activity/person/thing defines your life as a whole? what inspires you to be...you? Personally, Art inspires me. In my entire being, i am an artist, and i love every second of being an artist. Specifically, yes, i am an anime artist. Why anime? Im not too sure. I think it has something to do with the way i was brought up; very distant from my family. I got into watching Trigun during my early teen years, and I pulled morals and values from it, and anime really became like the family that i didnt have. Howabout you guys/girls?

I think its horrible that people actually define others by what clothing they wear. The very thought that your clothing has to represent yourself, your entire being and personality is rediculous. If i was to go out and wear all black and have a peircing, i'd be labled as goth. If i went out in A&F i'd be labled preppy. This is generalizing and stereotyping, and we all do it, hell i do it too. But before i get too far ahead of myself, you have to look around the world to other cultures and past societies. They all judge eachother by their clothing as well. Its a part of our human nature to judge eachother, and its highly unlikely that we will ever get past it. I personally shop at Pac Sun (which is quasi-preppy) just because i like the look. No, im not representing myself in some form through clothing, i just think i look good in the stuff and to hell with what everyone else thinks. Maybe we could just try tolerating other people's style. Especially in America, we've got a hodgepodge of everything over here, so we might as well get used to conflicting clothing styles, rather than verbally attacking eachother. but thats just my 2 cents :3

What things do you look for in a opposite/same sex
Fallenangel02 replied to a topic in General Discussion
Personally, im a male, and im bisexual. In guys i look for someone who is just...fun to be around and at least have some sex appeal (sorry, im shallow-ish), and i cant stand guys that are fruity. in girls, i look for strong-willed dominant type, and again, some visual appeal(sorry again, im a lame-o), and yeah, im more submissive than dominant ;o lol probably more than you wanted to know. -
