1. Zak was walking alone when he heard someone running behind him. He turned and saw Karen! "K-Karen?!" he asked, exited to see her. "Yah, good to see you buddy." she replied happily. "I'm not..a shade anymore." Zak said, almost ashamed of his humanity. Karen looked him up and down and smiled "I would think not." she said "You look...human." Zak looked down and muttered "Yah..I'm not a human though." "Huh?! what are you then???" Karen asked confused. "I'm like an ex-shade, I still have some abnormal qualities." Zak was speaking without thought, his mind was entirely on Forlorn. "I'm going go to fetch my girl now." he said in his new soft voice. Karen could still tell he was serious. "How? She's way too fast for you." said Karen. "There's a biker coming, I'll use his bike." Zak replied as coldly as possible. Karen looked around and saw nothing in ways of a biker "Uhhh there's no biker bud, I have no idea what you're talking about." Karen said sympathetically. Just then the sounds of a loud chopper engine filled the street and Zak ran onto the road. The biker came speeding around a corner and was heading for Zak at about 100miles per hour. Zak jumped towards the bike in a drop-kick fashion and booted the rider off. He had grabbed the handlebar and spun around 180 degrees into the seat. Karen saw all of it happen in about half a second. In an instant Zak went from running onto the road to riding down it at 90mph. Jaden had just caught up to her when it happened. "What the hell was that?!" he asked Karen. "Uhh he's going to get Forlorn." She answered bluntly as if she saw the same happening's on an hourly basis. Forlorn was still running fairly fast when Zak caught sight of her, but when she heard the engine she stopped to look and see what it was. Zak was standing on the speeding bike, one foot on the seat and one on the handlebars. She gawked at the odd sight for moment. Zak flew down the pavement and leapt into a back flip as he got to Forlorn. The bike kept going and fell into a long skid. Forlorn watched Zak cascade threw the air in a twisting back flip until he landed in front of her with a deft *thud* "You came after me...?" she asked blushing. Zak blushed as well but steadied his eyes with hers. "Yes, of coarse I did...I love you.." He whispered softly.
2. Sadness, one of the new emotions he fully had while 'human'. He ran after Forlorn as fast as he could, she was slowly becoming farther and farther away. Zak got frustrated, he knew as a shade he could surpass Forlorn, and easily pass her in a race. Now she was leaving him, literally, and he could do nothing to stop her. He cried harder and blurred his own vision. Soon he tripped. Forlorn disappeared from sight. For what seemed like a life-time he just laid on the side-walk and cried. After a while he stood and looked around, after wiping his eyes. He was being pushed out of the way by countless humans not caring about him. He would have been feared and avoided by all if he were still a shade, all except Forlorn. But now, she was the only one who did try to stay away from him. Zak got frustrated even more and cried harder. Then some guy got personal with him. "Move it you freakin' wimp!" screamed an overly tall man. He had blonde short hair and he was wearing a loose t-shirt and baggy jeans. "Leave me alone." said Zak, he tried to sound threatening but his new voice didn't help at all. The guy replied "Screw you stupid, you're nothing." And the man drew a 9mm and put it to Zak's head. Zak got a deathly fear in his mind, he thought "Damn, I'm no longer a shade, even if I get shot in the head I'll die instantly." He looked around nervously and drew the rapier that the slayers gave him. They took away his shade sword, since it was forged by evil or something. His new sword was thin but strong. He swung the sword and sliced threw the other mans arm. The man screamed in pain and dropped the gun. Almost instinctively Zak flipped the blade threw the air and rested it against the man's throat. "D-Don't kill me dude!" pleaded the man ." Zak didn?t feel any urge to kill the sobbing man, although as a shade the jerk would already be a corpse. Zak simply sheathed his sword and walked away, in the direction of Forlorn. He hoped he would find Jaden or Karen, Forlorn had rejected him as a human, but they were human too. He prayed they would take him in again. He walked down the street with his hand in the hilt of his rapier, waiting for some good luck. He knew he would get some, since his life had been destroyed within a few days.
3. Now Zak, Forlorn, Jaden, and Karen were at the local ammunitions store. The half-demon shop-keep tried to hold off the flooding forces of slayers but had failed. He was dead almost instantly and Zak with the others were defending themselves desperately. Zak turned to the others and said mournfully "We have to leave once again. This store is not a strong enough compound at all for what we're dealing with." The group nodded in unison and then reached the same question. "Where will we go?" Jaden was the only one to actually ask. "I don't know you should go as far as you can." replied Zak. Jaden and Zak then exchanged a stern stare and Jaden turned to the girls. "He's right." said Jaden sadly. "If we can get out of town relatively unseen then I guess we'll be out of harm's way at least for a little while." He continued. Then a rebuttal by Forlorn "How will we get out unseen if they're seconds behind us all the time??" Jaden looked puzzled then Zak answered the question "I'll hold them off." he spoke hard and cold. "No! you can't!" Forlorn cried for him to stay with her but he would have no part of letting her be captured if he could do something to help. There was a back door and the group drove in the clerks car while Zak stayed to distract the slayers. He tried his hardest, using powerful spells to fend off his attackers. But, in the end, he couldn't stop them. While he was attacking one group of five. A slayer spell-weaver prepared a blinding spell. He drove the group into a wall and killed several others before he noticed the spells-men. "Letta sja." said the slayer after much preparation. Zak instantly recognized the words and shouted. "NO!! RAMR JIERDA!!" the spell caster flew about twenty or so feet before hitting a building and getting almost broken in half. The spell however had been cast. Zak already noticed the effects, first his sense of aim left him, then his colour, and clarity. Soon enough, Zak was completely blinded. Even his shadow spike spell couldn't help him, if he could muster the strength to use it, he needed to control the blades and he had no targets. The next thing Zak heard was "Don't kill it! This will be the first time we capture a live shade." the voice was of a woman. From what Zak could tell she was a few inches shorter than him and much younger, then again, everyone always is. Zak then felt the subtlety of a boot across the back of his neck. He began thinking slower and he knew if he could see everything would be going black now, anyways. He awoke several days later, or so the slayers told him. He had apparently been awake before and he just had some severe amnesia. He could hardly see or think and had almost no idea who he was. "The test was a...success..." said a voice from behind him. "The subject was completely ridden of any spirits and he has little or no side effects or damage from the test." the voice continued. "Excellent!" answered another voice, Zak quickly recognized that one as the girl who had taken him and his memories flooded back. Unfortunately they cut off as he was taken and he doesn't know what who did to him. After a while of coming to terms with reality, Zak stood. "What happened to me?" he asked no one in particular. The girl answered, and for the first time , he actually saw her. he was shorter than he thought maybe 4'4" tops, she had long straight black hair and was dressed in all black leather. "Your name is Zak. You were possessed by evil spirits...we saved you from them and a renegade slayer with some demon..Sadly they got away, at least we managed to save you." Zak was filled with anger and confusion. His voice was much more human like and had a softer tone entirely. He looked different too, the spirits had changed what he looked like a lot more than he knew. His hair was the same but now it was a darker brown colour, and his skin actually had colour to it as well. His eyes shifted from a slicing blue to a bright welcoming green. And he felt like dying, a feeling never shared while he was a shade. "Am--Am I a prisoner here?" he asked the girl. "No, no of coarse not!" she cheerfully replied. "We have cured you, for the most part. You can go whenever you wish." "For the most part?! What am I then?!" Zak asked furiously. The girl replied with the same cheery demeanour but Zak could tell she was upset "Well some of the spirits permanently scarred you, your mind and body." She began "First of all, you still don't age. We do not know why, but you just don't. Secondly you still seem to be stronger and faster than the average or even well trained human. We haven?t gotten you to fight anyone so we don't know how you are with weapons or magic." After hearing all this Zak left. It took him a while to realize exactly how to act , the spirits that previously owned his body and mind made up more than half of his usual actions and moods. He was lost in seconds. The biggest imprint of his memory was that of Forlorn. His human counterpart was always in love with her, and now he was more human than counter part. He only wished that he could see her again, then he feared her and Jaden along with Karen rejecting him for being what he was. ?Would Forlorn love him still, not knowing what he was or what he can do? And would Jaden or Karen befriend him? or hunt him like he was a monster??" These questions and thousands more ran through Zak's shattered mind as he walked aimlessly down the street.
4. Zak looked to a solid wall next to him and said "There's an exit!" Jaden and Karen then looked at Forlorn to see it was a mind trick of hers, but nothing. Then all looked to Zak for an explanation. He simply faded into smoke and vanished. "What where did your guy go!" Screamed Karen, thinking Zak had deserted them. "I-I don't know." Forlorn replied defensively. Then an explosion came from the other side of the wall, and a fresh group of slayers ran in. Zak hadn't reappeared by then so the others fought off the slayers as best they could. Then Zak formed behind the slayers, sword drawn. He slashed a lot of them to pieces and was about to be stabbed from behind when the slayer got shot in the head with a bolt. Zak looked over and saw Jaden had the older man's crossbow. He then grinned and tried to remember what words he could use to help them out. His thoughts were interrupted when Jaden asked "where's that exit you mentioned?!" as he shot another slayer. Zak simply groaned a mild "It didn't pan out." Zak recited the shock-wave incantation and threw another group of slayers after them. Forlorn saw another group of slayers and warned Zak, then asked "Are they ever going to stop?!" And Jaden replied with "Not likely, we hafta get outa here!" Zak turned to yet another heard of slayers and said "Jierda theirra kalfis" while raising his hand towards them. A sickening crack flew threw the halls and bone jutted forth from the men?s legs. They all screamed and fell in pain. Jaden and Zak moved forward and drove off the slayers, while the girls looked for a way out in the back. Neither of the girls wanted to stay behind and be of no help in the battle but they weren't well armed and the guy's were. Soon enough Zak and jaden were at the front door fending slayers off left right and center. Zak was running slightly low on energy and had used a lot of magic throughout the night. And Jaden was just plain tired. Then Karen ran from behind them with news. "There's a fire exit at the other end of the building! we can get out threw there!" The guy's followed her closely to the exit. Zak had used a spell to make a fairly thick wall behind them, to slow the slayers. Luckily it worked. They all got out, but the slayers were right on their tails. Jaden brought up the idea to find an ammunition store to get some weapons. Forlorn liked the idea but insisted on going back to the inn for her scythe. So they split up, Jaden and Karen went to the local fire-arms depot and Forlorn along with Zak went to the inn and they would meet up later. At the gun shop.
5. Zak stood and grinned at Forlorn and the kissed his cheek. Zak looked at the remaining slayers aiming at the group. "I think we have a little bit of a problem here." Said Zak bluntly. "Yah think?!" exclaimed Jaden. Karen tugged slightly on his hand and kissed his neck. He relaxed and apologized before looking to Zak again. "Well you have any ideas?" he asked the shade. "Not this second. but I believe there are some places that will take in a group like ours. "Oh so we're a group now?!" asked Forlorn. "Well, yes. we should stay together to keep us on guard from all directions as much as possible. Jaden looked to Karen and nodded, gesturing she should trust Zak and Forlorn. Forlorn was a little scary, but the things she's seen Zak doing has made her much more afraid of him. And the events moments ago haven't changed her view of him for the better. She held tightly onto Jadens arm and he sensed her fear. Then Zak and Forlorn huddled together, not exactly trusting the slayers either. Zak looked to forlorn and Jaden to Karen, then at each other. No one had any ideas and the hospital was going to be swarming with slayers any second.
6. Zak was brought back by the kiss, being a shade he has evil spirits dwelling within him. Every once in a while, when Zak has too much pressure on him or is overwhelmed with stress or pain, the spirits will take over completely. This is what he calls a 'dark moment'. During dark moments he becomes the most evil kind of being imaginable. He hates and kills all, and can't control any of his actions. The love he felt for Forlorn was real, it was the real Zak fighting to the surface. And as assumed, the girl he killed was a victim of the darker side, covered in pain and wracked by her screams, the spirits took over. Then Forlorn confrontation pushed him away into the depths of his mind even father, allowing the spirits to have more power over him for a longer period. Zak now had come back to normal, making his love for forlorn come threw the darkness. The spikes vanished and he was crying. Yes Zak, was actually crying. "Help me!" he screamed at Jaden. Jaden was hesitant and the slayers behind him began firing on Zak. "No don't!" exclaimed Jaden, but Zak was in no danger. During times of his own emotional power he had complete control of the beasts within him and could use powerful spells as they could when in control. "Letta!" the single word, it meant 'stop' that's all. Every bullet that got within a foot of Zak or Jaden froze suddenly in there flight. Zak stared at Jaden with teary eyes. "I forged my blade with magic, my magic, it's the sword of a shade. And unless you help me I won't be able to save her!" Jaden ran over and knelt beside Zak, as did Karen. Zak laid Forlorn down on the ground and held both hands over her wound. Then he began to speak "Atra eka letta onr freohr un heill onr hjarta!" Zak's words were the sound embodiment of the purest silk. He said 'let me stop your death and heal your heart' Then both Jaden and Karen preformed their healing edge on Forlorn. Zak hoped with all his heart, that it would be enough to save her.
7. Zak thought for a moment then said "You amuse me. You make me feel things I normally don't. And I...like it" The shade seemed distressed and at a lack for words. Forlorn seemed unpleased. "Are you going to kill me too?" she asked coldly. "When I'm no longer 'fun' are you just going to slaughter me?!" Zak was confused for a second then he remembered his actions. "I told her to stop.." Zak said defensively "You killed her!" Forlorn exclaimed. "Please don't." Zak replied. Forlorn stopped speaking. She was afraid he'd kill her too for not stopping. Zak looked around and got depressed. "I must go!" He screamed. "No explain what the hell's wrong with you!" protested Forlorn. Zak reached toward the wall and screamed. "Ramr jierda!" in an instant the wall itself was gone. Forlorn screamed and Zak dashed out the gap. He was fast, much to fast for even forlorn to catch. He ran threw the streets like a field. Dashing as if there weren't buildings or people around him at all. Soon enough though he saw a crowd in front of him. He reached to his long sword and drew it quickly. As he ran he must have killed at least 40 innocents. Forlorn followed him as best she could but wasn't gaining at all. He was screaming in rage as he ran, dozens of vampire slayers now chasing him. Alas none could even keep pace with Forlorn, so Zak was long gone. Zak eventually made it to a hospital, he ran almost vertically up the wall, jumping every now and then. He got to a fairly high window and entered. The first person he saw was a nurse, he cut her in two and traversed the halls with great speed. The next person was a girl. It was Karen of all people. Walking back to Jaden with some food. "You?! what?!" she yelled and dropped the food. Zak's eyes were blood red and he was snarling. After raising his hand he screamed. "Eka ethgri haina frá du sundavar!" Karen dove to the side and Jaden came from his room after hearing her yells. Three large spikes formed solidly from the shadows around Zak. The spikes narrowly missed Karen and Jaden dodged one with just a small cut from another. Zak seemed to wield the spikes by moving his hand, they were hard to predict, as they would dissipate to normal shadows randomly then reform seconds later. Jaden tried but it was nigh impossible to get close to Zak. Jaden barely managed to get to Karen to protect her. He had a rough ordeal fending off the shade's spikes, and he didn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon, this was the reason humans, vampires and demons alike, all feared ever encountering a shade. And these poor slayers got one of the worst. "DO NOT TRY TO DEFEAT ME!" cried Zak. "FOR I AM ZAKASPHIRMED! SHADE OF SHOCK!!" the horrid wail tore threw the hospital and drove almost everyone to evacuation. Only Jaden, Karen, some other slayers, and Forlorn who had just entered, remained in the building.
8. Zak looked at Forlorn, staring at her body yet again. Then he spotted a break in the perfect symmetry of her form. It was in the form of a cut on her arm. Jaden made a pretty nasty gash in there little fight. The cut was worse than it felt, blood had already run down Forlorn's arm and it was dripping from her fingertips. The events made her forget all about it. "Shall I fix that then?" asked Zak "Fix what?!" Forlorn replied looking over herself for dirt or bruises. Only after 4 minutes did she realise her arm had blood all over it. "Oh god!, when did that happen?!" She asked herself. "You got it from Jaden during your little quarrel. Let me take a look.? Zak held his hand out for hers and after little hesitation she took it. He pulled gently at her arm tugging the cut closer to him. Forlorn winced a but and Zak grinned. "Forget it!" Forlorn protested, mocked by Zak's adoration of her pain. "Nonsense." was Zak's simple answer. he held out his opposite arm, hand held just off the cut. "Waíse heill." he whispered. Soon a light shown from his palm and her arm healed. She wasn't even considering her arm. She just blushed a bit because he cared and they were holding hands. Zak was pleased with his work and removed his hand, revealing a fully healed arm. Forlorn was also happy. Zak finished by kissing where the cut had just been and muttering "Good as new." Forlorn and Zak then sat in silence once more, Zak broke it once more with "I'm...going out. I'll be back later. You should relax and get some more rest. I'm sorry your rest was interrupted." He walked out of the room and down to the lobby. Noticing some blood around from Jaden he smirked. As he was walking on the road He saw a vampire running after a human girl. Merely 16 she was. "It won't hurt too much." said the vampire. The girl just screamed. Zak grumbled and drew his sword. Bored out of his mind he decided he may as well help. The girl just got cornered. "you'll be fine, a perfectly healthy vampire like me!" said the vampire to the crying cornered girl. A strange whistle rang threw out the air, soon the girl and the vamp. knew it's source. A long sword, Zak's long sword, twisting threw the air like a Frisbee. A horrid sound echoed threw the street as the sword tore threw the vampire's dead flesh. Ripping it's upper half right off. The human girl screamed again, and Zak moaned in annoyance. Forlorn had disobeyed Zak and followed him. Just as he saved the girl Forlorn smiled and thought "so there is some kindness in there." She was just about to leave as Zak made her sick. The girl was screaming and crying looking at the corpse of the vamp. "Quiet!" said Zak loudly. "I have a head-ache...I was stabbed earlier and that always puts me off." The girl screamed some more and called for help. "Stop right now! Or I'll kill you too."...The girl didn't stop, and Forlorns heart sank. "No...you should stop...please stop..." whispered Forlorn towards the girl. The girl heard it in her head and screamed louder at the mysterious voice. "I did warm you." said Zak pulling his sword from the vamp. He extended his hand to the girl's neck and repeated. "BE QUIET!" this time screaming. The girl screamed more and cried harder. Forlorn sensed power raising in Zak, he was about to use magic. "OH MY GOD!!! WHAT"S GOING ON!?!" screamed the girl. And Forlorn replied silently. "Oh god no..." The next words uttered were "Letta vindr" from Zak. The girl stopped screaming, but cried all the harder. "Now you know not to anger a shade." Zak said angrily. The girl tried to gasp but couldn't, she could make no noise, and couldn't breathe. From a safe distance Forlorn cried herself at Zak's heartlessness and questioned if a cold creature like him could be in love. The girl struggled for a few minutes then fell to the ground, under Zak's hand her eyes closed and she died. Meanwhile Forlorn, tears in her eyes, ran back to the inn as fast as her canine legs could carry her. Zak simply walked long the road casually as if nothing had happened.
9. Zak sensed something and saw that Forlorn was nodding off after all. He whispered "I'll be back." and he walked out of the room. He strolled onto the street looking for the origin of his distress and found it. Jaden, and some human girl was with him now. Zak had no idea of the human girl's armaments or powers so he thought she was easily dismissible. Zak stared angrily at the oncoming slayers and saw fear on both of their faces. Instantly he remembered the scene where Jaden had taken Forlorn hostage, then decided to repay the favour. "What do you want humans?!" he called down the street. Jaden started to explain he was the shade but Karen already knew. "I guess you wanted a little more than last time right?" Zak continued, making Karen and Jaden's blood run cold. Karen was filled with hate at the thought that this man hurt her dear Jaden so much, and had the nerve to mock them. Karen took Jadens handgun from his hand and shot at Zak in fury. "Karen no!!" Jaden exclaimed ,but by then Karen had already fired several shots into Zak's skull. Zak faded into sooty smoke and vanished into nothingness. Then Karen asked "Why?? I thought shades were tough but it looks like I already killed him." Jaden took his gun back and reloaded it. Then the pistol dropped to the ground at the sound of a scream. It was Karen. Zak had reappeared behind her and slashed a large gash across her back from right shoulder to left hip. She then collapsed in pain, and Zak faded again. "We're not ready for this." Jaden said to himself. "No, you certainly are not!" added Zak now walking slowly towards them from about ten feet away. Zak's hand rose slowly and he smirked coldly. "NO!" screamed Jaden knowing what could follow. He picked up Karen who was now bleeding heavily and ran around a corner. "Vindr knífr!" exclaimed Zak as Jaden turned the edge of another building. The corner of the wall nearest him then blew apart as if slashed by an axe the size of Zak himself. Jaden carried Karen for a little longer, until he thought he lost Zak. Then he stopped and knelt next to Karen who was covered in blood and screaming in pain. He began healing her and half way threw, heard sinister laughter from all around. He was scared for his life but more afraid for Karen's. Going head to head with a shade was definitely a bad idea.
10. Zak and Forlorn walked together in silence for a long time before Zak finally spoke again. "So we should probably find some shelter for you." he spoke in an oddly compassionate voice, it almost seemed like he cared. Forlorn simply scoffed and replied "I took care of myself before you and I don't need you now either! So what's all this 'we' stuff?!" Zak grinned at her anger and then they walked by another drunk man and a few of his sober friends. "Hey you stupid whore! What do you think your doin' hangin' 'round human folk?!" screamed the drunkard. His friends tried to settle him down then they saw who, or as they would say 'what', he was yelling at and they joined in. "Yah demon where do you come off buggin' this human lad for sex?!" said one. "Yah another lonely night for a monster huh!?" continued another. Zak ignored them, not knowing or caring enough about what they said to make it matter. But Forlorn almost started crying next to him. Then he knew. They were insulting her. They took him for a human at that, they would soon regret that. The men seemed to hush up a bit, then the drunk threw a bottle at Forlorns head. It smashed over the back of her skull and neck. She fell to the ground but then stood up and continued walking without a word. In some small way she didn't want to scare off Zak, but she kept telling herself it was just because they outnumbered her and she would lose. Zak let her walk away on her own and told her to find an inn or something. He gave her a generous sum of money and directions to a local hotel. Then simply walked away. He went back to the drunk and his friends to speak with them about their actions. "Oh I see you ditched that skank dog chic buddy. Good job!" That was the greeting he got for returning. Zak simply smiled and said "You clearly have no manners." After hearing Zak's cold voice they knew he was no human. "Somethin' ain't right with that guy." said one of the men as they all took out sticks or brass knuckles of varying size. Zak went towards them with unearthly speed. In seconds he travelled 40 feet and sliced two of the 5 men?s heads clean off. "Holy hell!" screamed one of the remaining three before Zak's blade pierced his lungs. The other two tried to flee but Zak would not let them. He dashed in front of them suddenly and lifted his hand. The ghastly words "Hvitr istalri!" rang from his mouth. Moments past and nothing happened. "You just lettin' us go then??" asked a man. Then a searing white flame bursted forth from Zak's hand, incinerating the man who just spoke. The last man screamed both in fear and pain as He too was scorched to nothing but a charred skeleton. As Forlorn sat on a bed recounting the events that had just taken place, Zak walked in. "You! You're back!" She knew he would be but it still surprised her somehow. "Yes, that I am." replied Zak. "I have no desire for sleep, but it is getting late. You should rest some." He continued. They sat in silence for a while. Forlorn didn't want to let down her guard if Zak was within ten miles of her, let alone the same room.
11. Zak sat up and it took a few seconds to focus. Then he looked around as he got his memory in order and saw the slayer by the dog girl, or Forlorn as she called herself. "I don't know either of them." He thought. "But I want to help the girl...I wonder why." As he stood they both turned and looked at him. "Is this good or bad?" asked Jaden to Forlorn. "I have no idea." She replied. Zak slowly walked towards them and then Jaden pointed his pistol between his eyes. "Don't come any closer!" He shouted. "I'll kill you, that's what I do for a living you're no different from the hundreds before you!" Jaden screamed his command but in his head he knew it was untrue. The hundreds were vampires maybe some demons. But a shade! That was all new. "You can get away from her now." Zak said grimly. Then Jaden knew he could use the dog girl against Zak. He changed his aim and pointed the gun at Forlorn. She just stood shocked at the whole situation. "OK, if you come any closer, she will die." Jaden said slyly. And as expected Zak stopped in his tracks. Jaden grinned and thought "This is amazing, I didn't know a shade could be so easily persuaded!" Zak lifted his hand in a worried manner and said "Now, now. There's no reason to be so mean. Just calm down." Jaden smiled and pulled back the hammer on his revolver. "No I think you'll be doing what I say." Forlorn looked at Zak and tried to speak into his mind. "Stop. Please." her voice sounded so sad and scared. But her plea was only followed by cruel laughing ringing through her skull. Then her eyes began to water and the fear of death gripped her. Tears ran down her cheeks but Jaden was fixed on Zak. "Let her go." Zak's voice was cold and strong, it was like listening to the sound of ice forming. Jaden recoiled slightly and pushed the gun against Forlorn's temple. "Or what?!" He screamed. Zak glared at him with hate and began to speak again. The words were not English more like the language embodiment of strength. "Ramr jierda!" The words were chaos. Instantly after speaking them Zak released an immense blast of force at Jaden. The wave cut threw the ground leaving a half cylinder crevasse aiming at Jadan. Jaden tried to dodge but the blast grazed his shoulder. Even that threw him several feet away from Forlorn and into a tree. Zak then walked up next to Forlorn and extended his hand to Jaden again. The words "Malthinae lam." then rang from Zak's mouth and Jaden's hands felt as if they were tied all to tight to the tree behind him. Both Forlorn and Jaden were at a wonder as to how Zak did all this and what he would do next.
12. Zak tilted his head at Forlorn and took in her shocked look for few seconds. Then she went to escape but Zak quickly held her hands behind her neck by the wrists. She struggled but her attempts were futile. "What do you want with me?!" She screamed. Zak simply smirked at her anger, he was always amused by the complexity of emotions. He tightened his grip on her wrists to make her wince in pain. Then he almost laughed at how cute she looked in pain. Zak was a twisted man indeed. He squeezed again and watched her suffer. Finally she asked again "What are you doing!? What do you-" her words were cut off. He had kissed her. She almost couldn't believe it. He let go of her hands to hold her waist again, and she took her chance. She hit him in the stomach as hard as she could and he fell back. She then grabbed her scythe and went to cut his head off. But alas, she did enjoy the kiss herself. he almost revolted at the idea that she liked it but she couldn't fight what she felt. Instead of going for the kill she simply hit him in the temple with the handle and he fell to the ground. Out cold. Just then She turned to see Jaden running into the park, she immediately regretted taking out her only source of aid and prepared to fight the human sure she could win.
13. Zak rolled his eyes, and absently stared at Forlorn's great figure again. She looked around the room then caught his eyes looking at her chest. Astonished she nervously pulled the blanket over her again and Zak looked in her eyes curiously. "You are very well shaped." he finally said bluntly. "What?!" she replied in awe. "Who the heck is this guy?!" She thought to herself. "Why didn't he kill me?? What does he want??" Then she made the connection to his dirty looks. "Oh my god! he wants to rape me!!??" she exclaimed within her head. All while Zak stared into space in the form of a wall next to him. Forlorn's eyes were now darting back between him and the broken door. If it was life or death, she'd rather die than be his sexual play-thing. Suddenly she jumped from the couch and ran out the door. She grabbed her scythe on the way out. Her eyes ignored Jaden around a corner as she ran away. Almost in an instant she had travelled several blocks. Eventually she did get tired an slowed to a speedy walk. She turned another few corners then stopped in her tracks. She saw Zak, he was just standing there, as if he had been waiting for hours. "Going for a walk are we?" he asked, is a cold voice. Forlorn could see getting away from him was going to be complicated.
14. 15. Zak carried The girl for about half an hour before he saw a drunk looking man. The stumbling man was fiddling with a pair of keys, trying to open a small apartment.Zak tilted his head slightly and let loose a cruel grin. The words "Blöthr hjarta." hissed from his lips, and the man fell to the ground gripping his chest. Within seconds the man was dead. Zak walked over the man and extended his wrist towards the locked door. "Jierda" said Zak. The lock smashed through to the other side of the door. And the door itself swung open. No one was around so there wasn't too much commotion, only the two vampire's earlier, and they were long gone by now. He walked in threw the door and laid the girl onto a couch. Zak glanced back at the door, which was still broken, and decided he didn't want to be disturbed. He walked back and held the door shut, then picked up a few pieces of the broken lock and then grumbled. Finally he came to the conclusion that he can hold a door shut better than any lock. He sat down in front of the door and watched the girl sleeping. He couldn't help but stare at curtain parts of her body. Dog demon or not, she was very well formed. He looked her up and down repeatedly stopping every once in a while. Then he stopped his fun and laid a blanket over her before sitting in front of the door and nodding off himself.
16. Zak was even more interested in the girl than before. He now knew the nature of her link between people, it was some kind of telepathic power. He could now defend against it. After she left he suddenly got up and walked after her. The bar man did his usual glance of the room and seeing an empty seat where Zak was, he returned to his normal duties. Zak walked out of the tavern and just barely caught a glimpse of the girls arm and scythe handle as she walked around the corner. He followed after her with a hastened pace and saw her back as she turned yet another corner. He sighed knowing she was going to keep just out of his reach. Then he took a deep breath and vanished into a creepy sooty smoke. He reappeared seconds later of a rooftop, looking down at the dog girl, who he noticed to be looking over her shoulder repeatedly. He tilted his head slightly and smiled, revealing oddly pointed teeth. Then he leapt from one building top to another then another, all with ease. Finally he took a step off the roof he was on and fell straight to the cement sidewalk below. He landed in front of the girl he sought to talk to, and only landed as hard as a human would from falling a foot or two. The girl stopped in her tracks and drew her scythe into a defensive stance. Whether on purpose or by instinct Zak knew not, but either way he found it amusing that she wished to fight before talk. Perhaps she didn't know what he was. He looked mainly like any normal human. And Zak knew she had powers and abilities far beyond a human herself. SO maybe she thought she could defeat him with ease. It would be an interesting fight to be sure.
17. Zak was walking the streets of new York with ghostly silence. Soon though, however, was his sweet lack of noise interrupted. He was forced to over hear a commotion about two streets over. He changed his path to see what it was that had so abruptly tore down his peace and quiet. When he arrived he saw a woman screaming on the street. He knew something was direly wrong with her. Not just an O.D. but something more. He glanced around the area and spotted a dog-like demon girl staring strangely at the woman. She was the only one who bothered keep a straight stare for more than a second or two. He could also sense some sort of connection between the dog girl and the screamer. Which especially made it's mark, as the girl started to walk away and the woman returned to normal. Zak decided to follow the dog girl in secret, but his plans were once again changed when she quickly spotted him and tried to lose him. She made a decent attempt to lose him or make it seem he shouldn't try anything, by going into a bar just around a corner. Zak still followed. He entered the bar shortly after the girl and sat down a few stools away. She and him were now only separated by an empty stool and a half passed-out drunk next to her. Zak briefly sensed the same connection the girl had, had with the woman. But this time it was between her and the bartender. Zak saw no motion of her lips but the barman still responded "right away miss" as if being asked an order. He quickly fetched her a bottle of bud light and walked over to Zak to get his order. Zak glared grimly at the bar man with his inhuman blue eyes. The cold stare struck the mans consciousness like a dagger threw his heart. Instantly the bar man fled to the back room of the bar, and was only later seen when poking his head out of the door to check if Zak was still there. And that was quickly followed by a dart back into the room once he confirmed a split second of eye contact with Zak himself.
18. Name- Zakasphirmed (ZAK-as-sphere-med) [Zak] Age- Human 465 (looks about 30) Personality- Zak is cold and heartless, killing almost everyone he comes accross. He has relitivly no emotion of any kind and the only emotion he shows is raw hatred towards all. Appearance- Zak Weapons- As in the pic he uses a long sword. But he also has a large range of dark magic. Side- Demon Bio/Writing example- He grew up under the rule of his father. His mother had died during labour. His father had been a powerful slayer, and a strong user of magic. On a mission he was sent out of town to hunt with a party of humans. The party stopped and accused him of helping vampires. Giving them food and what not. He of course denied this, but they did not believe him. The group slaughtered Zak's father without mercy of any kind. And in anger Zak tried to conjure spirits to avenge his fathers death. The spirits did as he commanded for a short time but then they turned on him as the slayers on his father. He cursed the irony of the situation, and was soon after possessed by the spirits. Becoming a shade. The new being kept it's old name and decided to both avenge his father and follow his fathers legacy by joining a neutral party. The demons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ O.C.C: My character will roughly follow the magic style of the Eragon book series. Just f.y.i.
19. Marty walked cautiously threw the brush as he heard opposing footsteps that were not of the nomads behind him. He looked around and saw the edge of the town. The small village was filled with people in the streets, as Dras-Leona was a common place for the tournament to be held. Many people of many walks of life came to admire it's combatants or even to be combatants themselves. Marty was one of those combatants to be. He spotted A shadowy character heading his way and rested his hand on the hilt of Darastrix. As the man got closer Marty saw he had many blades, and other concealed items. Marty opened with "What do you want of me stranger?" And the stranger simply replied "Nothing, I wish to talk to you, no more." "Very well." said Marty, still grasping Darastrix. "Are you entering the tournament tomorrow?" asked the stranger. "Yes, are you?" answered Marty. The stranger answered win a pleased tone, revealing he probably wanted to see Marty's skills "Yes I am. My name is Vaan, and yours...?" he asked slyly, and Marty quickly answered "Marty." "I look forward to meeting you again during the tournament, perhaps we'll joust, or even duel sometime in the near future." Vaan sounded confident that he could beat the old Marty with ease, and meant his comment as an insult more than anything. Meaning he wishes to fight Marty so he could have an easy victory. Marty simply smiles and said "That's strange, I wouldn't want to fight me if I ere you...oh well to-each-his-own." And Marty left Vaan standing alone. Vaan considered what Marty had just said and figured it to be some obscure means of trying to scare him into not participating. ? He must have been afraid of me, yes of coarse that's it." Vaan concluded in his thoughts with a smirk of confidence. The next morning the tournament sign ups had begun. To see if they were accepted the combatants to be had to partake in a simple few tasks. The first of which was to score a 6 in an archery contest, using no more that 10 arrows. The outer most rim of their targets were worth one the next ring 2 and so on till the center bull?s-eye was 5. But it was no more wide than the width of a hilt. Depending on the target. Marty was happy to hit two third rings getting 3 each for total of 6 with only two arrows. The best score possible. But it was a shallow victory as it was an east goal. A few more than 20 people showed up so Marty just decided to wait for the next bunch to get threw the archery so he could move on to the next qualifying event.
20. Just then 47 walked into the room with a cruel smirk "Who would be?" he asked menacingly. Ian just glared at his as Hiro also cracked a smile. This was the first time Ian really noticed 47, he knew 47 was here but he had never really paid him any attention. 47 was carrying a few large bags. Each almost over flowing with cans of non-perishable foods. Beans, corn, tuna, and tomato sauce were the majority. He also had a number of bags just filled with dry noodles. "We can survive on these for a while." he muttered to Hiro. Hiro and Aaron had noticed that 47 seemed somehow more human than when Aaron first met him. He showed more emotion and was almost developing a sense of humour. Ian was still locked into a harsh leer when 47 turned back to him and said "Please calm down. I have no idea what your history with Aaron is but it was a harmless comment meant for smiles and laughter." 47 walked closer and Ian, who is used to being intimidating himself because of his height, was at about eye level with 47. But due to 47's cutting eyes and strong, steely voice. Ian backed down. He turned and walked out of the room saying "Whatever." along with a steady flow of curses. 47 then looked at Hiro who was still smiling, he told him "I don't know how to cook much, so I may need your help" Hiro stood up and replied "Sure, together we can make some pretty kick ass spaghetti" 47 nodded and they began cooking.
21. Marty strolled threw the forest he had seen thousands of times from over head and grinned to himself. He knew he was only an hour or so's walk from the town. He walked and thought about the noblewoman, and what she would or could look like. Then he smiled again. As he was walking he heard a rustle in the bushes near him. He looked at then cautiously and kept walking. Then he hear another louder rustle of bushes. He walked over two them and inspected them slightly from about 4 feet away. Then his suspicions was confirmed. A large reptilian creature lurched out of the brush, it had a shield and a crude mace made of a stick tied to a rock. The thing had glistening yellow eyes and rows of razor blades seemed to line up neatly hiding behind his lips. This was one of many. The lizard folk. Marty had encountered them before and tried his best to avoid the meetings. Lizard folk tended to hate everything that was smarter than them, and in thus, they basically liked rocks and some plants. The reptiles spoke in a raspy chalk-like language that most called terran. Marty spoke many languages and this was fortunately one of them. "Garesth verder vosk!" said the lizard man. Marty translated that into roughly "You die now!" so he took a step back. The lizard man swung his mace and it narrowly missed Marty's jaw. Marty didn't want to waste time so he quickly drew his sword and struck. The lizard tried to react but it was too late. Marty's sword was already plunged into his chest. It had cracked threw the lizards thin scales and thick rib cage alike. Finally piercing his heart and one of his lungs. Marty gave some sympathy to the reptile, but it had tried to kill him first so he had no choice. Marty walked a few more meters and saw some smoke. He continued to the smoke and found four teenagers, he still had his sword drawn. The sword itself was named 'Darastrix'. An elven word for something or other. The sword gleamed and reflected the sunlight like a mirror. it almost looked liquid as if it had just been dipped in mercury and was still wet in itself. The teens looked at Marty with astonishment. He was wearing bright red armour. with a dark red sheath at his waist. As he approached them he resheathed his sword and looked them up and down. There were two fairly tough looking young men and a couple of pretty girls. Marty didn't mind their strange clothes as he had seen thousands of cultures and styles in his time. But the teens seemed scared a little of him. "Who are you? what do you want??" asked one of the men as he walked out of the lake nearby. One of the girls was sleeping and was swiftly woken up by his worried voice. "Can you tell us why we're here?" asked the already awake girl. Marty thought for a while. And decided to just pass on by. He didn't want to start any trouble. He'd feel bad for hurting such young unarmed, unarmoured, and apparently lost, nomads.
22. 47 blasted a man's head off, spattering the man behind him with blood. The second officer screamed but his chest was blown out before he could draw his handgun. in seconds the whole station was in complete havoc. The officers guarding Aaron heard gun shots, and tried to radio for help. But the system was down. "Ha you're fucked now!" Aaron laughed as the guards ran out of the room. Hiro was waiting for them and shot each of them three times in the head. Then he ran into the cell room. "Hiro!" Aaron said happily "You came to save me!" Hiro smiled back and they hugged through the bars. "We came to save you." 47's vice cut from behind as he pulled Hiro away from the bars and shot out the lock. Aaron ran out of the cell and hugged Hiro again. "I was so afraid I would never see you again!" she cried a little. 5 more guards ran in the door way and 47 shot one in the face. It was a pepper round. cayenne pepper extract flew hard into the mans eyes mouth and nose. He fell to the ground screaming in pain and the other guards looked down at his for a second. 47 then hit one in the right temple with his shotgun and drew his baller. "That was my last round" he explained as Hiro shot the three standing guards. 47 then shot the two on the ground, one shot to the head each. "Come on" he said as they all walked out of the room. Hiro noticed a number of compressed gas cylinders around the station. "Methane!" he exclaimed. 47 simply cracked a slight smile in the side of his lips and said "Hurry." They walked out of the station hiding their guns, after Aaron had retrieved hers. 47 took out basic emergency flare gun. Hiro and Aaron smiled at each other and 47 shot into the station. The entire building was blazed into an inferno. Broken bricks and glass flew everywhere. 47 looked at the other two and said "Well what now?" they just laughed and said Aaron , "I don't know you're the pro. at this stuff." 47 thought for a second and said "You can work for my business. We need to get to new jersey though." Then they all began walking to the airport casually.
23. Hiro an 47 were well away from the hospital when Hiro finally said "Wait! Where's Aaron?!" looking at 47 in shock. 47 was still as calm and relaxed as he normally was. "I don't know." he replied. "What?! You don't know?! You mean you lost her?!" Hiro went to punch 47 in the jaw out of anger, but 47 caught him by the wrist and twisted his arm behind his back painfully. "No, We lost her." said 47. Still with his arm behind him Hiro said "Well we have to go get her!" "I agree" replied 47. 47 then released Hiro's arm and took out his black gps-like device. "What the hell is that?" Hiro asked, thinking that 47 was wasting time. "It's how we'll find her" 47 explained "The same policemen that took her must have taken my lap top, I can track my lap top, and in thus I can track her." Hiro took a second to process it then said "Oh, well good, you do that." feeling slightly irritated that he couldn't do something to help. After about 3 minutes 47 said "Got it!" with almost a little sign of happiness in his voice. "We need to go here. Fast!" 47 told Hiro, while pointing to a small police station on a mini-map. "They'll keep her here to question her before actually taking her to court or anything." 47 explained. "At best if we hurry, they'll be arguing with the fbi as to who gets to keep her." Hiro was glad and said "Great let's go" 47 grabbed the back of his shirt and said "Wait, we're just going to burst in and kill everyone?" Hiro answered "No we're going to walk in kill everybody, except her, take her out. Then blow up the building and any evidence we were there." 47 was slightly content with it so he let Hiro go. Then he said "First we cut the power, that way there's no chance of them calling for back up and no chance of a video camera giving the feed to another station." Hiro nodded in reply and they both began walking to the station. 47 had hidden his shotgun in a guitar cased "donated" by a random bystander.
24. About 4 miles south east, and 30 miles up: Marty was soaring atop Karaglen. "I'm kind of bored." said Marty. "Then why don't we land and find something to do?" Kara asked him telepathically. "Ha and make some poor town believe we're there to destroy it, not a chance!" Marty replied. Then a thought struck him. "It's summer." he said excitedly. "Yah so?" Karaglen replied, confused. "That means the Alabaster cup tournament will be on soon!" He explained. "Oh that old thing? A bunch of overly confident men gather to prove their ego's are bigger than their abilities. Sounds like fun." Kara criticized. "Hey that's not fair." Marty answered. "First of all: there are men and women. Secondly: It's a fantastic tournament where people from all walks of life go to test their valour." "Right" Kara replied sarcastically. "It's a great way to meet interesting people and see new magic?s and powers of will and body." "Is that what they call, overly masculine wrestling contests, now a days?" Kara asked mockingly. "There's only one wrestling challenge in the entire event." Marty defended. "Well why don't you explain exactly what goes on in these things?" Kara asked "My memory of human games is somewhat foggy." Marty had a smug look on his face as be began to recite the events exact details, from the posters usually around towns. Marty went through every event and date acuratly, recited the rules and events in the tourney to the letter, all while smiling at his idea of being smarter than his dragon. Kara sighed and replied "Whatever, if you really want to we can land somewhere and you can go find your little game." Marty smiled again as they landed. He hopped off and told her to go to a near by cave for a while. The Alabaster cup only lasts 3 days so he wouldn't be too long.He decided to only take his longsword, and left his shield and lance with Kara. Then he went off towards the nearest town to find a holding of the tournament. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ O.O.C.: The town Marty is heading to is also the town nearest the four students.
25. A few tears ran from Aarons eyes as she left the room. She looked down and slowly walked down the hall. When she finally looked up she saw 47, holding a very strange looking shotgun at her head level. "Holy shit!" she screamed and ducked. 47 fired one round. it was a flamethrower cartridge. A ball of flame nearly filled the hall and incinerated a police officer standing just behind Aaron. She looked back and saw the horribly burned cop. "What the fuck was that?!" she screamed some more. "No time" 47 replied "I'm here to help." He extended his hand to her and she stood up on her own. "No! you tried to kill us! I have to warn Hiro!" She started down the hall back towards Hiro's room. 47 was bigger and faster than her, in seconds he was in front of hr again with that big shotgun once more. Aaron began to cry and she pleaded "Please don't kill us! I'll do anything just don't kill us!" 47 grunted and replied "I am here, to help you" slightly louder than the first time. Aaron didn't believe him so he went to see Hiro. When he got to Hiro's room, Hiro was already up and fully dressed. He had loaded his pistols and was currently thinking about what to do when 47 walked in. "Holy shit!" Hiro yelled and pointed his guns at 47. "Wait!" 47 responded. "Why shouldn't I kill you right now?" Hiro asked still aiming at 47 "The logical reasons are that I'm here to help and because you might not make it out of here alive. The obvious one, is because I'd kill you too, then she'd be totally screwed" 47 answered gesturing to Aaron, who had come in the door right after him. Hiro looked at 47 then at Aaron, who looked scared and sad. And he decided to trust the man who tried to kill him not 24 hours ago. 47 aimed his shotgun at Hiro and said "Don't try it" calmly. Hiro then slowly lowered his pistols while looking at Aaron. 47 said "None of us will make it out if we don't have a plan. as he sat on Hiro's bed and took out a device similar to a day planner.
