Dumbest Insults & Names People Have Said to You
The Spectacular Professor replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
Aceburner, your post is a shameful testament to exactly what I'm talking about.
I know, I'm pathetic. My point is that these stupid arguments pop up, everyone thinks they're right and no one can convince each other otherwise, so there's really no point in trying even though everyone still does. I ashame myself sometimes with this type of thing.
DB, you haven't made me less of a KH fan, I did. You just made me, smarter and non-drony.
People like DB opened up my eyes to the horrendously evil deeds of a company known as 4Kids Entertainment. As much as I hate to admit it, I may owe people like him my life. (By the way, what ARE we calling you now? Is it DB or DeM?) Edit:
I wish there was a fun pun for fusing KH with retard like in Naruto's case. Though maybe someone with more wit than I can come help me out with that?
Easy. Kingdummies. (LOLHAHA) -
TOS 2 IS COMING SOON!!!
Thanks for reminding me! Knight of Rattatosk is gonna be great. Also, Soulcaliber Legends is going to include Lloyd Irving himself as a guest character. Onto the topic. I just recently picked up The Legend of Zelda: the Windwaker again. I haven't played in a while, so it feels fresh and new, but I still remember enough so it's not frustrating (I still can't remember where the fourth bottle is, though.) I'm at the Earth Temple. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is that pain-in-the-butt Triforce quest again (What kind of inhuman monster decided to force you to talk to Tingle?!) Edit:
(I always played Lloyd >_> what can I say? I mapped his attacks and liked to keep things that way)
Try Regal sometime. He's not very hard-hitting, but if you know how to use him, you can cook up an unbreaking combo string.

Gaming Coolest Video Game Sound Effects
The Spectacular Professor replied to BlueYoshi's topic in Noosphere
My favorite is the classic "You solved a puzzle!" jingle from The Legend of Zelda series. I wish that played every time I got a question right on a test.
Classic. That's my answer, too. Another good one is most of Link's grunts and yips, especially that fantastic shriek when he falls or dies. It's so unmasculine I can't hep but laugh whenever it comes out of such a cool guy's mouth. -
Dumbest Insults & Names People Have Said to You
The Spectacular Professor replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
Allamorph, once you've learned their ways, NOTHING is more fun than hanging out on the internet with angsty Kingdom Hearts fans. You want to hit them so bad, but at the same time, they're just too much fun with all their inability to make sense and mismatched beliefs about themselves.
True, it is fun to talk to some of them, but have you ever tried to convince one that Sora doesn't necessarily win a fight with Link for
splitting a building
once in the second game? I mean, I take it down to weapons. Master Sword, a.k.a. "blade of evil's bane": Legendary sword said to be the only thing able to eliminate the threat of the Evil King Ganondorf. Keyblade: Don't get me wrong, it's a cool idea and all, but the fact remains that at the end of the day, it's a KEY. A giant KEY. I'd post a meme here, but I'm lazy. Back on topic: Yeah, most insults never bother me. The few people who actually genuinely hate me enough to try very hard I can load with bruises given a good five minutes. I know it, and that's enough for me. -
Random Malicious Zombies Are Attacking Your City

El Dojo. Army of undead, meet army of Katana-weilding Karateka. Safeway's right down the street, so that takes care of that, too. -
Dumbest Insults & Names People Have Said to You
The Spectacular Professor replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
Usually I end up turning whatever insult is thrown at me right back at double speed. For example: "R U gay or sumthin?" "Why, are you asking me out?" It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it, since most people who call names don't have much imagination in the first place. -
How my post was construed to mean that anime makes up for Japanese brutality during WWII, I can't even begin to imagine. But I'll refer people to a previous post of mine that I think is relevant to the situation:
It didn't. I'm just a moron.
-
Anime does not make up for rape and torture. This is why everyone hates Japanophiles.
I wasn't saying that. I was saying that all things considered, after the adoption of their culture into our own, it would seem just a bit hypocritical to demand an apology. If one is made of their own free will, then I'm fine with it. Besides, it's more sincere that way. I agree that they probably should apologize, but with this much influence, it seems unlikely anyone will make them. EDIT:
A lot of schools in Japan still act like the invasion of Korea and China were for 'their own good', and Japan was trying to 'liberate' them.
Heck, that's Bush's excuse.
-
Tell that to the people who were tortured by Japanese soldiers. Or, you know, all the South Korean "comfort women" who were held against their will and raped on a daily basis. Sorry to put a serious spin on the discussion, but I think quite a few people would say that nothing makes apology a moot point.
True, but there is still Nagasaki and Hiroshima to consider. My point is that human history is riddled with countries doing ridiculously stupid things to each other, maybe we should just ignore whatever happened in the past and work hard to make sure it doesn't happen again. (There's no good way to voice my thoughts on this. Tust me, it doen't sound nearly as heartless in my head.)
-
Maybe it should be just "a" right answer. I mean, you're here all the time, but it could take DAYS to post new riddle if nobody got the right answer, and the point is to get people to think, anyway. MIRITE?
James, stop making Chiyo cry. :nono:
I'm gonna side with Des and say that their ingrainment in our popular culture makes apology a moot point. (Is anyone really gonna make 'em? How about Hiroshima?)
-

A Keyboard!
I R da winnah! Oh, and Ace... WRONG! On my riddle. You stroke me when you're bored. I can be small, big fat, skinny. Oh, I can smell awful aswell. I have hair and I can drip.
It's actually not what you think.

Well, I'll keep trying then.
A dog?
What do men do standing up, women do sitting down, and dogs do on 3 legs? (get your mind out of the gutter.)
-
Sounds like
bifocals
to me. Then again, I may just be a thickhead. I cannot speak, but you speak through me. I sit before you, yet you hardly glance at me. All you do is tap. What am I? (Bonus hint: Maybe it'll come to you while you reply to another thread.) Actually, this one should be pretty easy.
-
My second reply to Kodomo no Jikan thread has broken OB. From the outside, it still says the other guy posted and tat there's only 1 reply, even though I posted. Did I kill it? Do I get a prize?
Nope, Dagger's Lucky Star post kept me from seeing that thread until the other guy posted in it. Dagger did it. Actually, I think it's part of the server maintenance Adam was talking about.
And Aceburner: I hate iPods and iTunes, therefore I don't use either. So not EVERYBODY, even with caps. :p
Fine. All the cool people then.:smirk: Well, all I can say about the matter is that sometimes you just can't win. We need to stop stealing, but at the same time the RIAA needs to stop the policy of decapitation for burning a CD. The way I see it, we're just provoking each other. Soon, the switchblades will be out (or maybe I just live in the wrong side of town and an becoming ultra-paranoid.)

Anime Anime Out of Context (image heavy)
The Spectacular Professor replied to The Spectacular Professor's topic in Otaku Central
Don't bother calling, Roy. Unfortunately, it's not called "Flame Alchemist." (Does it not look like they're trying to locate him on their TV screen?) (Yeah, it's kinda lame, but all the other stuff I have comes from One Piece, since I got the idea from Arlong Park.) EDIT: A typical "as bad as it should get" picture. Implies something, but only to an extent. Plus, it's funny. -
Well, I just discovered a caviat of Spiralfrog. All the files are WMA. EVERYBODY uses iTunes, even people who don't have an iPod! What's their beef?

Hello, all. I'm bored and there is currently little activity in this forum, so I've decided to start a new game for us all to play. The idea is to post images that seem innocent, but can be taken very wrongly by themselves. (this concept does include akward captions.) Rules: 1: They can be weird, but not too dirty. This thread is NOT clothing optional. 2: [strike]Don't talk about fight club.[/strike] Keep it somewhere between G and PG-13. Hints of kissing is okay, any kind of actual sex (implied or otherwise) should be handled tastefully and conservatively. 3: Anime images ONLY. It's the anime forum, for crying out loud. 4: If you are going to post, please post an image. No "ROFL! more!" posts. Also, if you think the OOC part of your pic is hard to "get," enlighten us. 5: Don't doctor your photos. Find something that already looks weird. Without further ado: The game! A little One Piece Yaoi fun! (Mods, feel free to kill the thread if you think it's too much. It was born out of extreme boredom.)
This current topic has become tiresome. Your new topic? Discuss the literal presidential race. If Rudy, Hilary, and Obama were to compete in the 100-meter sprint, who would win, and by how much?
Obama's the only physically fit one. That's a terrible way to decide an election (though my favorite would probably win :animesmil.)
As I said though, there are many kinds of democracy. America’s is one kind, Iraq’s is another and Australia’s is yet another. They all have pros and cons, but ultimately I think most people would tell you that self-determination is better than autocratic rule.
I'll just clear this up right now. This is a common misconception. Remember this, everyone: America is NOT a Democracy. It is a Democratic Republic. Therefore, while we have many traits of Democratic states, we are, first and foremost, a Republic. (Not that this affects the discussion much, I agree that any political system can be horribly corrupted by the right[?] people.)

Alright, lets just put it this way: we won't be worrying about this too much anymore. http://www.spiralfrog.com Here, for your pleasure and convenience, is a website where you can legally download music free. The industry gets money via advertising. There's not much there now, but it's a pretty snazzy idea and is bound to catch on sooner or later.
And in regards to this, I hate anyone who takes physical appearance into deciding why they should vote for.
Relax. I kid. However, I will say there's just something I don't really like about her. She seems a bit overbearing at times. I'll definitely be rooting for Obama this time around (from what I've seen this year, Giulianni doesn't stand a chance. It looks like the Republicans don't have a chance even if Jesus announces that he's running. Also, don't regard this comment as anything. As far as I'm concerned, the party system needs to go bye-bye.)
Clinton has momentum and generous face time. I have the opinion that it is not her issues that turn people off usually. I hear some people who think her platform is too centrist, or that she is playing to republican angles too much. The majority of the time people simply just don't like her. It's either her personality they hate, her using Bill's spotlight, and sometimes it's the concept of Bush-Clinton-Clinton-Bush-Bush-Clinton that worries people.
Her generous face time is what turns most of us off, methinks. Manga Naruto Manga [Warning: Spoilers]
The Spectacular Professor replied to Ryo the Tactician's topic in Otaku Central
 EDIT: Is it weird that in this manga titled "Naruto," that I seriously just remembered Naruto was in it? I don't even remember what he's doing right now... >_>;
Not at all. In the entire series, spoilers included, the main character is the only one I hate. Hyperactive little ADD... But I digress. They really might as well call it "Sasuke." When was it ever about Naruto after the first 3 chapters, anyway? -
XD they've been out... saw v 1 at the store. My favorite part is how embarassingly not-manga it is XD
Agreed. Last year, pseudo-manga invaded our high school in the form of our school agendas. These consisted of horrible stereotype pictures that made me wish to perform acts of violence upon furry, cuddly rodents. Long story short, I spent more time graffitiing those things than I did scheduling stuff in them. It's depressing, too, because I've seen some great western works with manga/anime influences (manga Shakespeare. If they translated the Bard's own speech patterns a little, you'd get some big fans there.) I know it's possible, but everyone in charge of this kind of stuff are lazy morons who want money. Now. Luckily, 4kids isn't into the manga scene (Al Kahn sez kids don't read!) (Db, did you need to get a new account today? I already have a headache.)

American cartoons are being eaten alive by the sharks and have been since Animainacs was dened its 100th episode. Avatar is viewed widely as an exception, but there are 2 reasons I disagree: 1: It has far too many Eastern influences for me to consider it purely American. 2: Whatthefrick?! Aang has hair now?!?!??!
