Gotta be the lulz. Made of wood. Oh, and Kishi drew a happy trail on that demon statue they've been feeding the bijuu to. Don't tell me that's not funny.

 3. Slightly less than a year old, let's see if we can juice a little more conversation out of this one. Dear everyone, If you do not cry at the ending of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, you are probably a statue. Which makes me wonder how you beat the game in the first place. -Ace
 4. Digimon Xros Wars: Combining Mecha, but They're Digimon.
 5. There needs to be a way to specify what method you're working with in those cases. I'm never going to bother with that level, how do I know Professor Layton's never gonna spring that trap on me? All the other maths tell you how to solve them. It's simply unfair.
 6.
Can someone please clue me in? Â What show is this from?
The show's name is in the thread title. It's the new Gainax offering for this season, and apparently it's being compared to the Powerpuff Girls on whatever it is the writers of Family Guy take. I haven't checked out yet. If I can find a streaming version, I might give it a shot, but so far it doesn't seem like the kind of thing I'd be willing to risk the time torrenting just to see whether I'll even like it.

Also FUUUUUUUUU I made a booboo in the thread title).
A mistake in the thread title? That's ridiculous! I see no such thing! 9. Slap some triangular shades on Usopp, he's earned it. He has achieved the absolute peak of Badass Normal. If the Usopp of today fought the Luffy of Water 7, he would indeed be Captain now. Best entrance was Sanji's. After two years of a ladykiller being surrounded by transvestites, I can't blame him for immediately reverting back to his skirt-chasing shenanigans. I noticed he's parting his hair on the other side now in addition to the filled-in goatee, so I guess he really did have an eye under there. That's gonna be a hard sell for pity-lovemaking, though. poor guy can't just go up to women and tell them he's been stuck on an island without a female in sight for two years. It just sounds made-up.
 10. 3DS Port Announced. Now excuse me while I slowly and tearfully come to the realization that Namco Bandai is going to be a bunch of lame jerks and not localize it, meaning I won't get my wish of a potable version of the best Tales battle system yet (Sorry, Radiant Mythology. I love you, but it annoys me that I can't use the thumbstick to activate Artes).
 11.
i wonder how the padded room would look if all your posts were removed... scary thought....
About fifty pages shorter. Dead serious, Chibi. You have slightly over 1000 posts in this thread alone.
 12. I'll recap this chapter because it'll be super short. Naruto 511 Nothing important happens in this chapter, except for the fact that Yahiko does the Dreamworks Face. Coming this Spring: How to Train Your Ninjas. The end.
So I'm working at a movie theater now. Megamind is coming out soon, and we have a giant cardboard lobby display for it, so for the past two days I've had two of those freaky smirks fixated directly on me for the better part of five hours.

 13. I'm going to spend the next few days getting used to standing for hours on end. I clearly need more practice with that.
 14. Yep, confirmed to be fanmade. In fact, here's the original trailer in all its hammy, melodramatic glory. Kotaku found it before I did, so credit where it's due.
 15.
Thing is, all they're taking down are screenshots. Small pictures. It's not worth getting in a tizzy over. If people want visuals that bad, they can either download the ROM themselves, import, or wait 'til the game is released in their language. Screenshots are still fairly easy to find, too, so people are blowing this up way bigger than it really is.
This makes it sound like this measure is going to end up resulting in exactly what Nintendo was trying to prevent in the first place by implementing it. As for me, I'm just kind of baffled as to why they feel the need to do this now. Posting screenshots, sprites and the like hasn't been a problem for the last four generations, why is it suddenly detrimental to their income now? It's not like Serebii is handing out free ROMs to every visitor of their site. He's doing exactly what he did for the last two major Pokémon releases and probably more before that. It's not like seeing one cool screenshot is going to suddenly make you decide you don't even need to play this game anymore because you've already been satisfied by the one screenshot. Honestly, if I hadn't already heard about Famitsu giving this game a perfect score, I'd wonder if this was the video game equivalent of not being screened for critics.
 16. I'm afraid I'm going to have to not love you anymore, sir. It pains me greatly, but you clearly do not have proper admiration for the legend that began in the 12th Century.
 17. Yeah, Smugleaf is definitely gonna be my starter as well. Little punk is just so adorably cocky I can't help but love him. Admittedly, Pork Roast's typing isn't a dealbreaker for me. I'll still buy the game and play it and probably love it. I just wish they'd come up with some dang variety for once. I wouldn't mind if it was just another Fire/Fighting hybrid somewhere else in the dex. Heck, Oddish and Bulbasaur have shared a pokédex since the first generation. There just comes a point where recycling the same type combination for the same purpose gets a little old, and then there's a point beyond that where you do it THREE TIMES IN A ROW. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good opportunity to experiment. Fire/Dark, perhaps? Fire/Ghost? Fire/Electric? There's a ton of possibilities. This just kind of comes off as lazy. I will admit that I love Boarbecue's design, though. He looks positively monstrous. Way better than Infernape.
I've nicknamed the Pokabu line Pork Roast>Hambustion>Boarbecue, in case anyone cares.
EDIT: Oh frig, I just noticed there's only one Ice-type this gen that has a dual typing and it's a Legendary. This could potentially screw over the usefulness of Ice-type in the main game, since Ice has a whole slew of weaknesses, most of which are very common. Usually these are offset by dual-typing, but clearly that won't be the case here. I suppose I could just teach a willing Water-type an Ice move, but I sure do hate to miss out on STAB, particularly against Dragons.
 18. HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT THE FIRE STARTER'S EVOLUTIONS ARE PART FIGHTING TYPE! THIS IS A NEW AND EXCITING TYPING THAT HAS NOT BEEN DONE TWICE IN A ROW ALREADY WITH THE LAST TWO GENS' STARTERS! BRB flying to Japan to punch a GameFreak exec in the face.
 19. Yeah, I get that something had to be done, I just don't see why it didn't happen more effectively. I mean, he can literally tear the ultimate evil into nine sequentially less powerful pieces, so why not just keep it all bottled up in one form and seal it in the Earth's core or whatever crazy junk all the other fictional precursors do to secure their ancient foes? At least that way it wouldn't be everyone else's problem until Madara came along and went "hey, anyone remember what happened to that ultimate evil we had lying around here somewhere?" It would also keep the whole issue from being passed on to his descendants, who can't seem to grasp that the whole childbirth thing is a lot harder to do for someone whose testicles are sort of blocking that exit.
 20. Yeah, I'm actually totally cool with that particular development. All it means is that the extremely HAX and overpowered EMS actually does have a weakness. It's not a big weakness, like the regular Mangekyou, which blinds you after a while just from using it normally, but it's still there and it can be a giant Achilles heel against a more powerful opponent. But anyway, does the Sage of Six Paths strike anyone else as a selfish, douchey God-Mode Sue? He can literally make stuff fly out of his imagination and he's responsible for splitting Ten-Tails, so yet again an ancient conspiracy that just really wasn't that well thought out could have prevented every problem this series has. That's at least two of those now.
 21. Yes please, even if it does become another Dragonball: Evolution, this is bound to be either made of win or so bad it's good. As a sidenote, I hear Robin Williams once said he'd audition to be Professor Oak if this ever happened. Make it happen, funnyman.
 22. Oh joy. At the rate we're going, this series is set to climax in a cosmic staring contest between emos and gingers.
 23. You all remember that Speed Racer movie? That one we all thought was going to suck? I caught it on cable several months ago and it turns out it's not half bad. It doesn't try to explain why the show was stupid and weird, it doesn't try to take the ridiculous premise and make it serious and it doesn't aspire to be anything more than exactly what it is; a goofy sendup to an extremely campy and bizarre anime series. And it is glorious. It also has this:
 24.
I know I'm harping on the point, but as far as I know, nobody here is suggesting that book burning is right. On the contrary, we all acknowledge that it is stupid and unnecessary. I thought that was so self-evident that we'd sort of moved beyond that point by now.
Yeah, I didn't even intend to imply that anyone was, really. I probably should have dropped that last sentence, but I watched Firefly recently and I couldn't resist dropping a good quote in there.
Even if Jubal Early was a total creep.
As for the rest, at this point it's clearly just a matter of opinion and since I've said my piece and let my take be known, I'll just go ahead and bow out right here. Fun talk, guys. I should make a note to do it again sometime. :B
 25.
You are making it sound like atrocities are the only reason to protest by burning books (again, not supporting book burning). A group could choose to burn bibles to protest the Catholic church's practice of protecting pedophiles or protesting the fatwa that forces women to wear a niqaab.
My point still stands in these cases. The Bible doesn't just represent Catholics who protect pedophiles. It represents all Catholics, as well as Lutherans, Baptists, Mormons and countless other denominations of Christianity who have absolutely nothing to do with what's being protested. It's like bombing an entire city to exterminate a small crime ring. If you want to protest the Catholic church's policies, picket them. It's more direct, tells them exactly what you think they're doing wrong and doesn't involve a disproportionate amount of unrelated people. Same with the flag burning. it doesn't send a message to anyone other than that the burner is a distasteful rabble-rouser. If the government is doing something they don't agree with, it's a citizen's right and responsibility to bring it to someone's attention in a coherent, respectable manner. Heck, the system is full of ways to do that, from proposing bills to public protest. No need to disrespect everything about something you only disagree with a tiny little portion of.
