I am eighteen years old and can sit through some pretty weird movies without so much as batting an eyelid, but this bastard still scares the hell out of me. Well done, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
 2.
I know I said no before but Wall-E actually has quite a nice environmental moral at the end which doesn't come across as forced, nor does it invoke the "Humans Are Bastards" trope.
Which is why it's still tied with UP for my favorite Pixar movie ever. Then again, Pixar is notoriously good at formulating a good story to go with their impressive visuals. I can understand why the former fell to the wayside here, but I have to say my enjoyment of the movie suffered as a result. It's hard to enjoy the scenery when you're too busy banging your head against the wall at the trained Ex-Marine bodyguard who just wandered into the alien jungle so he could poke things.
 3. > Bump into Banister Kitty BANISTER KITTY politely inquires why you were so rude as to knock her off her perch on the BANISTER. With her claws. You might want to shield your EYEBALLS with your HANDS. > Get attacked by Banister Kitty That's already happening, meathead. > Break expensive-looking vase In your haste to remove BANISTER KITTY from your face, you accidentally brush up against the EXPENSIVE-LOOKING VASE. You're actually becoming rather frightened at the number of WORDS THAT RHYME WITH VASE. The URN topples and shatters, revealing a REBELLIOUSLY CONFORMIST T-SHIRT. You add it to your inventory. > Run up Grand Staircase You blatantly disregard everything your MOTHER ever told you about ASCENSION PROTOCOL. You are now at the top of the GRAND STAIRCASE. There is a LARGE DOOR guarded by a HEAVYSET UNDERLING. He is standing next to a VELVET ROPE. You assume you will need to raise your OUTCAST CHARISMA to pass. > Slide down Grand Staircase banister Your MOTHER would be very disappointed in your RECKLESS SHENANIGANS. Your descent is suddenly halted by the SUIT OF DECORATIVE ARMOR. Both yourself and the ARMOR are scattered about the floor, as is the VIOLENT-LOOKING MACE and the BLEACHED JEANS OF CHAFING that were hidden in the ARMOR. In response to the noise, a CHARMLESS FOLLOWER enters the room from the RIGHT HALLWAY. Looks like he's cruisin' for a bruisin'. 4. Well, it started out feeling like bad allergies, but I think I might actually be sick right now. This sucks. Especially since I hardly ever get sick. Three times within the past year is way weird for me.
 5. Indeed they are. In fact, they're bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling. I just wish someone would learn to at least be subtle when wasting my 8 bucks to tell me I suck. It doesn't help that three months prior to the whole THEY KILLED THEIR MOTHER scene, Sully himself was completely on board with the "make the blue monkeys relocate or nuke 'em off the surface" plan and was effectively a spy, which pretty much makes him the King Kahuna bastard. heck, he wasn't completely on the Na'vi's side until the night before the bulldozers arrived, so I guess Quaritch had a point about him switching allegiance for alien tail. But I digress, I can see from the rest of the thread that poking holes in the story here is ultimately pointless, since you'll either facepalm at everything or ignore the plot to enjoy the Jungle of Sweet Rave Parties anyway. And yeah, it was all very pretty indeed. It just lacked substance of any kind. I guess it's kind of like the stereotypical blonde cheerleader of movies.
 6. Well, just saw it. You know what would be nice? If someone in Hollywood could make a movie with a pro-environment moral that doesn't spend an entire scene printing the words HUMANS ARE BASTARDS across the screen in six foot tall neon green flashing letters. I know it's a pipe dream, but I can remain optimistic, can't I?

 11.
That's a rather specific metaphor there Ace.
Well, it had to be the capture my intense, unbridled joy that someone I hated might actually go away for good, only to find out that everyone is going to be stupid and I'm gonna get punched in the gut with more OH SASUKE POOR BABY HE IS TOTALLY JUSTIFIED IN BEING AN OMNICIDAL DICKWEED FOR NO DAMN REASON. Also, what with Danzo gone, there's no chance of Sakura taking Karin back to anyone who thinks logically enough to go "hey, she might be that Uchiha moron's spy. Let's stab her with sharp things."
 12.
Haki.
Yeah, they pretty much established that Haki lets you touch Logia users back in Shabaody. Which reminds me, Rayleigh is a badass and I want to see more of him. Anyway, Whitebeard of all people should probably have that power. Strongest man in the world and all that.
Blackbeard's new posse should be interesting. The entire world is about to realize how dumb it generally is to erase someone from history.

 15.

I'm not going to argue about the magma vs fire thing its Oda universe and if he says it true u have to believe him.

It didn't gel with my Willing Suspension of Disbelief. The thing about the "it's the author's universe, don't question it" mentality is that it tends to let the author get away with a lot more than they should be allowed to. It's the same reasoning that lets Masashi Kishimoto pull a new Sharingan power out of thin air every time Sasuke starts breathing heavily, allows Tite Kubo to magically grant Ichigo five new powerups per fight and encourages Seth MacFarlane to turn Family Guy into an unfunny propaganda-loaded political agenda machine. Not questioning bad writing just encourages more bad writing. Not to say that you're not allowed to like this particular plot point, but you shouldn't do it just because Oda said so. I agree that he's an excellent writer and I enjoy most of what happens in One Piece, but he makes mistakes like every other human being and should be allowed to learn from them like anyone else. As for Shiki, he's actually reserved for the Tenth Movie, so he probably won't make many more major contributions to the main story unless it happens in the Strong World prologue he's still writing.

You take in your surroundings. 20. Aaron Dismuke is totally going to be one of Armstrong's gonk sisters. Just watch. But yeah, great dubbing. Vic's pipes just fit Ed way too well. I can't wait to see some of his crazy awesome feats of determination dubbed, such as
pulling a support beam out of his thigh and sealing the wound using his own life force,
or
punching open the Door of Truth just to tell Al's body that he'll be back.

 21. I played some Tales of Symphonia. Stop looking at me like that. After that I hung out with some of my friends (one of which is an actual flesh and blood human girl that I kinda have a crush on.)

 23. I agree with Al. Most of the popular stuff I enjoy I do on the basis of "Hate the fanbase, love the work." There tends to be a subculture of really, really annoying people in any fan community, so it's kind of unavoidable. Should that prevent you from enjoying something you like? No. Can it get on your nerves anyway? Oh hell yeah. I'm about halfway through Brave Story at the moment, and it goes a lot more in depth than the movie with some pretty important background info. It's an interesting take on a lot of stuff, and I like the way the story portrays divorce as a big deal (don't get much of that in US fiction since it's so common these days.) Even better, everyone's viewpoint is examined, so no one is fully the victim and no one is completely to blame. It's written mostly from the child's point of view, but you definitely pick up the hint that the mother he sides with isn't exactly innocent. My only real criticism at this point is that the book did take a little too long to fully delve into the fantasy elements. Most of the exposition at the beginning was necessary, but the author could have thrown in a few more mysterious happenings and such to keep things interesting until the plot actually arrived in Vision.
 24. This is the greatest LP ever. Bar None. I prefer the screenshot ones in general. The video ones tend to be done by amateurs with annoying voices. Text and emoticons allow you to get away with a lot more, plus you can narrate however you want, meaning you can have different genres of replays. I once read an Animal Crossing one that read like the diary of a prisoner of a false utopia. It was hilarious.
 25.
How did you manage to do that?!:animedepr
By holding an apple the wrong way and forgetting that knives tend to gravitate towards anything made of living flesh instead of going straight down like they're supposed to.
