Discuss The Almagest Expedition: Backstage
The Spectacular Professor replied to Shy's topic in Theater
You're out of luck my friend. He lives so you can't continue to be lazy. :p
How unfortunate. :p In the meantime, I just cut the rest of my catching up down to a single page and since it's 12:30 AM, I'm gonna go ahead and continue to be lazy for the next 8 hours or so. I can't lie anymore. I have free time on my hands, I'm just lazy. Gonna try to catch up now, though if I find out Ivan's already been killed off, I really can't blame you guys. -

In all seriousness, though, he needed to be called out long before this. The man's got a track record of being an egotistical dick. Hell, he once said that if the Bible were being written in modern times, he'd be in it. Also, it was deleted shortly afterward, but here's his apology, ripped right off his blog. I'M SORRY I WAS A DOUCHEBAG BY THE WAY I WAS TOTALLY RIGHT BEYONCE SHOULD HAVE WON PLEASE FORGIVE ME. -
Fix'd. I also changed up the backstory a bit, since I figure immigrants are going to have an even harder time leaving Sinnoh than Pokemon are. Changed the Grotle to a Quilava, but I'm assuming that won't be a problem since starters aren't exactly unique.

Name: Cam Roland Age: 17 Gender: Male Appearance: On the tall side, mid-length messy red hair, green eyes, freckles, usually seen in blue jeans and a green t-shirt, almost never seen without his favorite blue denim jacket and black headband. Allegiance: Protester Status: Freelancer under Claire. Bio: Former Saffron citizen who moved to Blackthorn with his parents 7 years ago, bringing only a few household items and his childhood friend/starter Pokemon, Ruby the Cyndaquil. Rubbed Claire the wrong way upon first meeting her (being ten and all,) and has been trying to surpass her as a Trainer ever since. Personality: Easygoing and lazy sometimes, but stands for his beliefs and is especially passionate about battling. Also a bit eccentric, spouts odd non-sequiturs from time to time if left alone. Ruby seems to understand most of them, though. Primary Pokemon: Ruby (Quilava, female): Cam's starter. She evolved about 6 months after they arrived in Johto and Cam has been trying to get her to do it again ever since. Considering all the training, it's probably not going to take much longer. Atlas (Larvitar, male): A recent acquisition. When Cam was about 16, he accidentally stumbled off of the beaten path to Mt. Silver. He managed to capture Atlas, then nearly got himself killed when Atlas' mommy arrived. Albi (Dratini, Male): Received from the Dragon Master, whom he somehow mistook for Santa Claus when he was ten. The kindly old man took it in good humor and presented Albi as a gift, which Cam's parents immediately confiscated and turned into a family pet in order to keep it from getting too dangerous for their young son. The lack of battle over the past 7 years has kept it fairly docile, if a bit lazy. Cam supports the general six-member party guideline, as it assures that each Pokemon can get the attention they deserve. He hasn't really decided what else to add to his party yet, but he's had his eye on the Sneasel population in the Ice Path.
Ace, the title itself sounds like a warning anyway. Why the heck did you watch something like that?
It was on the CW and I was bored. Then again, they've shown Batman & Robin twice since I've had the channel. Man, I need to pay attention to context clues used outside of grammar. -

I take my earlier comment back. This conversation is the nerdiest thing I've ever done. Also, my wife here says I should stop discussing other fictional women.
Ariel is pretty hot. Belle is better. I thought you were going to say that you thought the font "Arial" was named after her.
Belle's main appeal is the fact that she frequently wears dresses that defy gravity in a way Star Trek women can only dream of. Personally, I prefer Jasmine. I dunno why. I like her pants, I guess. -

Church enlists Satan in advertising campaign
The Spectacular Professor replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in General Discussion
"Hey guys! Someone dislikes us! That makes us AWESOME!" Prince of Darkness or no, I'm thinking there's something wrong with an ad campaign centered around a fallacy like that. -
Screw that. Bros before incredibly mundane diseases being prosecuted on trumped-up charges, yo. The high fives shall still continue and as a matter of fact, I think it's important to let sick people know how much you don't detest them. So they'll be getting the most high fives of all. As for the caption, the only good ones I can think of are either offensive or DO NOT WANT.
The atmosphere has changed because you are unable to hear as much from the nice members on TheOtaku; I have nothing against any of the members on TheOtaku and MyOtaku. The main reason that I'm still on TheOtaku/MyOtaku is for the company of these people.
Personally, I have to disagree with this point. Though I was a very frequent user of MyO before VV and I did get feedback on my blogging from plenty of pleasant and interesting individuals, I have actually noticed a huge upsurge in communication between myself and other members since switching to the World system. Granted, it might be because I spend a lot of time casually conversing with my friends on the Chat system and in general make a better effort to get to know other people and make myself known now, but I consider it a lot easier to communicate through the Worlds. The ability to have multiple worlds dedicated to whatever you want is a great way to get known, as you can make one essentially a shrine to whatever you want and showcase it for all to see. On top of that, the Guest Poster function allows you to better collaborate with friends and share your likes and dislikes with each other. tl;dr: The Worlds can seem limited compared to MyO's functionality, but there's plenty of stuff you can use them for that MyO can't do, too. Personally I prefer the World format, but to each their own.
