1. Know what, I'm bumping this. Nostalgia calls. Anyone else remember this show? Well, I went and watched the whole dub all over again. Apparently there's another whole season and a separate series out there, which no one has gotten around to subbing yet (I really want to see that. Too bad.) Te thing I love about this show is how it's more of a parody of the other shows of its type than anything else. Despite that, though, it still managed not only to hold its own as a franchise for a couple of years, but also come up with storylines that were often better than the stuff it was parodying. Other things I liked were Ikki and Metabee's dueling personalities even though they were such good friends, Rokusho and just about everything about him, the Rubberobos (even less competent than Team Rocket, but so much more entertaining) and Mr. Referee, who is basically the defining factor of the show.
 2.
Say what? o_O How does one play chess with... O_o
Well, we are all his pawns, except Indi, who is his overt sadist Queen. Sir Allamorph is a psychotic mastermind. Tainting the world with the evils of culture and good taste is his calling.
 3. Yeah, I know. Don't worry, though. It's not over yet. Besides, Jail time's on the line, too. Your lawyer has a plan.
 4. Part Two Ace’s face went white. An ice cream bar? He’d heard the commercials, but this was just stupid. He looked up for a moment, glared at whatever idiot introduced such a ridiculous plot device, and proceeded as if he hadn’t just shattered the fourth wall like so many baseballs through a neighbor’s window. “Hey, Ace,” asked Chibi, “What’s the matter?” “Nothing. I’m just wondering if it’s at all possible to switch to Prosecution now,” replied Ace. “Don’t give up yet! They haven’t even called the first witness!” Raiha’s questioning was now over. There was nothing Ace hadn’t heard before, so he was ready for the next witness. “The Prosecution would like to call Mr. James Wallace to the stand,” Announced Odin. Mr. Wallace approached the stand. He gave off an air of authority and common sense, with just a bit of mischief thrown in. “Name and occupation, witness.” “My name is James Wallace. As for occupation, you could say I run this city, though you might not think about it much.” “No way! You’re a mob boss?!” Ace seemed a bit surprised. “Please, Mr. O’Turney,” replied Odin, “Even you should be able to recognize our mayor. “Oh, this is awkward. No further questions at this time.” “Excellent. Witness, you may begin your testimony,” said Odin. “Alright, here I go. I’m the mayor of this city, as the young Prosecutor just said. I happened to see all this while out to catch a show. I couldn’t believe my eyes! This woman was taking a lion in to the theater! It was-” “OBJECTION!” Ace nearly threw out his lungs with that yell, “Do you, good sir, have any proof of what you claim to have seen?” “Objection!” This time, Odin was the one speaking, “Mr. O’Turney, you seem to have forgotten a few vital details.” “What do you mean?” “Duh,” said Chibi, “He means the defendant is guilty!” Ace was confused. “How do you know? I thought it was my job to convince everyone she wasn’t!” “ Not this time, Ace. She’s already confessed and even if you can disprove this witness, there’s eighty-three more eyewitnesses just waiting to get a crack at you! This case is pretty hopeless, unless she didn’t actually do anything wrong…” Ace’s spirit hit an all time low. Just as suddenly, however, it was back up. “Chibi, you’re a genius!” “What did I do?” “It’s all clear now! All I have to do is prove that she did it for a good reason!” Ace stood up. He was going to try it. “Your Honor, may I speak?” The judge blinked. “Very well, Mr. O’Turney, let’s hear it.” “Thank you. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, my client stands before you today accused of taking a lion to a movie theater. According to her, it was done in exchange for a Klondike bar. These accusations may seem very serious, but I wonder what any of you would do for a Klondike bar? Would you stand on one leg? Would you drive a Go-Kart in the Indy 500?” He glanced at the Judge. “Would you acquit my client?” “Mr. O’Turney, are you trying to bribe any members of the court, by any chance?” asked the Judge. “Would it work?” “Not in your lifetime.” “Wouldn’t dream of it,” replied Ace, taking his seat once more. “Worth a shot,” he thought. “Well,” said the Judge, “I don’t think we’ll be finding anything case-breaking in the testimony of this witness.. You are free to go, Mr. Mayor. Prosecution, please call your next witness at this time.” Not part of story: Well, here's part 2. Mostly filler and testing the water a little. Maybe not as good as the first part. Part 3 will probably conclude Case 1. I just need to figure out who runs the zoo here. The other thread is still open, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'll hear them over there. Thanks in advance. And yes, The last names are pretty much coming out of nowhere unless I can dig a fake one out of your profile.
 5.
Japanese dubs don't go well for serious movies.
Least not for Live Action, anyways. "Run! It's Godzilla!" (continuous lip flapping.) Yeah, sure. It's gotten better, but the fact is that many Anime mouths don't actually form words in the first place.
 6.
*Wipes off the dust* Inspired by Aceburner's fanfic on the Anthology (all props to him), I'd like to suggest an OtakuBoards Trial, where, like in the fic, different members would play out different parts (victims, suspects, attorneys, prosecutors, judges, investigators etc).
Alright, If this does go down, I want to be prosecutor. That is all. Thanks for the support, Sandy!
 7. You know what's common not only in anime, but everywhere? The seven deadly sins. You know, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Pride, Wrath and Envy? For those of you wondering why I just listed off the names of a bunch of FMA characters, that's exactly what I mean. It's actually starting to get pretty old.
 8.
That's the whole point though, if you have creativity, then you'll have no problem doing it. It's easy to confuse guidelines as restrictions when learning that - will later on make putting those creative ideas you have into a solid format that your readers will enjoy easier. Something you're already learning about with the story you are currently working on. :p As in notepad is evil and all that Jazz. Just like all those silly exercises for playing the cello made it possible for me to do so much more. I certainly would have never gotten to where I am now without all those countless hours spent practicing those rules that are often mistaken as a restriction.
Actually, I never got to add an extra sentence to my last post there. I was going to say something along the lines of "Never kept me from not only getting an A+, but also getting the stupid thing read out loud to the class by the teacher." I forgot though. You're right, too. Besides it being good practice, the true test is taking all those restrictions and manipulating them so that they not only fit in, but compliment your grand design. My most memorable essay involved writing an ending to a story called "The Lady or the Tiger." I went completely Deus Ex Machina on it (not the member.) I somehow got the protagonist to travel through time. When he came back, he was leading a clone army. One of the soldiers shoots him in the back, then the Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece entered the scene somehow and the protagonist's ladyfriend hooked up with their cook. Then the author got arrested for copyright infringement. My teacher passed me with flying colors. 8th Grade. Good times. I miss me from 2 years ago sometimes.
 9. So far, it's excellent. I only wish I could write like that. It's seriously amazing. This is gonna be pretty epic, in other words.
 10.
For your information, fellow writers... I don't know what to say after this. All I can basically do is let out my opinion. So here I go. I hate writing stories for school. Sure, I get full credit on all of them:catgirl:, but it seems to me that when my writing talents are required to show everyone else how good I am, I lose my skills, at least to me. I write better when I don't have to. That's all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know the feeling. They tell ou to write whatever you feel like and that you have total creative reign, then they're all like "no, you need to have this many words, your story needs to have a moral, paragraphs must be this long, no run-on sentences (irony:p,) etc.
p.s. Aceburner, I now understand why your avatar is a guy hitting his head on a computer. You are not alone, I have dial up, too.:animesmil
Actually, I don't have dialup anymore. I remember when I did, which is enough. I'm trying to get the avatar changed, though. Also, I actually started a story just for fun. The link's in my sig if you want to check it out.[/stealthy plug]
 11.
Well as for me, no duh I'm not a mother,
That would pretty much be kind of awkward. As for the online time thing, I imagine it would be pretty hard to juggle anyone under the age of 10 (and over in some cases) with it. It's important to relax under any kind of stress, though. If internet is how you do your relaxing, more power to ya!
 12. Alright, so I started that story I started. I've gotten positive feedback with it, so I figure it merits a logo for itself now. Unfortunately, I have no photoshop and am utterly talentless with paint. What I want is basically a parody of this: http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5208/pw4logohp9.jpg Guidelines: -I want the text to be the same color. I would like the silhouette to be reversed (black on white) instead, however. -I want the figure to be pointing with 2 fingers, the index and middle finger. I also want him to appear relaxed and almost cocky. If it can't be done, however, it's fine. -Instead of an open mouth, I want him to be smirking visibly with teeth showing. Like thems anni-may characters. -I'd also like him to have longish, wavy hair. About shoulder length, though slightly shorter. -The text should say "Until Proven Guilty". If you want to, you can add the rest of the title (The Court Records of Ace O'Turney, Ace Attorney). Good luck with that, though. Also, If you can, I'd like an avatar of the silhouette that matches OB's size requirements. EDIT: Also, it's a banner for the story, not my signature, so size doesn't really matter.
 13.
And then I set out to conquer OB and it's many members and ship them off to a desolate island. Where I rule as Captain and everyone is a slave. And then my plan usually ends up in failure and I walk off into the sunset only to come back the next morning with yet another evil scheme.
Yeeesss!!!
 14. Okay, it's been a little under a month since Ugamon was last on. Just a small thought: maybe we should have Kredion go off to search on his digimon and then set it up so Ugamon can come back and post a small backstory about what Kredion was doing while he was wandering alone. After that, he could just rejoin the group at any time. That is if he comes back, of course.
 15.
Just wait, Rach and SunfallE may become the second pair.
The looove shack is a lil' old place where *shot*
 16. You know what would be awesome? A new Earthworm Jim game. You know what is awesome? They're making one. Click Here. Anyone else remember Earthworm Jim? Fun and funny. This is gonna be great.
 17. Yeah, sorry about the formatting issues. That's just what I get for drafting with Notepad. Anyway, it's nice to get some positive feedback. To tell the truth, I was a bit nervous. I'll definitely be posting more before the end of the week. And not using notepad to draft anymore. And adding more speech tags. I almost got lost last time I read all that and I'm the one who wrote it.
 18. Special thanks to the awesome sakurasuka for the awesome banner. Until Proven Guilty: The Court records of Ace O'Turney, Ace Attorney - Record 1: The Cat in the Multiplex - Ace sighed with exasperation. "I can't believe I took this case," he thought to himself. He would be defending Raiha in court today. The charges were not only severe, but ridiculous. Taking a lion to the local movie theater*? This was the strangest law he had ever heard of! Apparently there were hefty fines involved, jail time if there were other offenses. He was sure there were. Considering the fact that he was pretty sure lions were not legal pets. On top of that, a wild animal in a public place is bound to cause trouble, if not death. And where on Earth did she manage to obtain a lion? "Hey there, lawyer guy." "Ack! Oh, it's you." "Yep, it's me. So, you ready for this?" "Not at all. Seriously, This is my first case ever and I'm pretty much assured to lose. Eighty-four eyewitnesses! Eighty-four! Why would you do such a thing?!" "You want a motive, huh? Okay, then. I did it on a dare." "A dare?" "Yeah. My roommate bet me I wouldn't do it. I did it partially to shut him up, but I got something else out of it." "And what would that be?" Raiha shrugged. "You'll find out." "Two more questions," Ace demanded. "Shoot." "Did your roommate know it was illegal?" "Would he have been that specific if he didn't?" "Fair enough. Now where did you get that lion?" "Zoo." He was afraid of that. June 13th, 2014 10:00 A.M. District Court Courtroom No. 4 Ace looked around the room. He was familiar with every single corner of it. He'd already been here dozens of times, assisting and observing his boss. He glanced at the front of the room. That was where the Judge would be sitting. He checked the desk across from him. That was the Prosecutor's desk. He knew it all, but he was still shaking in his boots. His first case, and it was totally hopeless! "Chin up, Ace! It's not over yet! heck, it hasn't even begun yet!" "Oh, it's you, Chibi. Don't sneak up like that! You know I'm nervous!" Chibi Master was Ace's assistant. While she was sometimes out there and a bit neurotic, she had a tendency to bring new light to a subject and make people think a bit more. Accidental or not, it was a useful skill. "So, whatcha thinkin' about?" "I'm just wondering about the bailiff over there. I hear his name is Dagger. Kind of makes me wonder where he got it." "Um, Ace?" "Eh?" "You should probably take another look." "Why's that?" "Dagger's a girl." "Now I really don't want to know where the name came from." Just then, Dagger spoke up. "All rise for Justice Kathy Anna!" As the Judge entered the room, everyone fell silent. Just by looking at her, all in attendance could tell that there would be no biased rulings in the courtroom today. This Justice gave an unmistakable air of fairness. She sat down behind the bench and spoke. "Court is now in session for the trial of State vs. Raiha Nuevo. I will accept no badgering of witnesses or perjury in my courtroom. This trial will be handled in a fair and just manner. Is the defense ready?" "The defense is ready, Your Honor," replied Ace automatically. Funny, he didn't feel ready. "Is the prosecution ready?" "The prosecution is ready, Your Honor." Ace looked at the prosecutor. He hadn't noticed him yet, but now he was surprised he hadn't. The Prosecutor's name was Odin M. Yggdrasill. He was also a rookie, but already he had an amazing presence in the courtroom. There was no possible way to ignore him. "Very well, Mr. Yggdrasill. Your opening statement, please." "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the woman you see before you is unmistakably a criminal. Not only is there a specific law against what she has done, but thaking a lion to a place as public as the movie theater is extremely risky. Therefore, her various charges also include reckless endangerment, the ownership of an exotic animal and possibly theft depending on the identity of the lion in question. That is all." "Well," thought Ace, "I'm toast." "Before calling any witnesses,” began the Judge, “I would like to have the defendant speak. Get the story from the horse's mouth, as they say." "WHAT did you call me?!" "It's an expression. Does the prosecution have any objections?" "No objections, Your Honor," Replied Odin coolly. "Very well. Defendant, please approach the witness stand." As soon as Raiha sat down, the questioning began. "First of all, I would like to know what possessed you to do such a stupid and random thing," inquired the Judge. "Alright," said Raiha, "I did it for a Klondike bar." *It's illegal in Maryland. I swear. Look it up.
 19.
Okay.:animesmil *puts away various weapons* How 'bout bailiff, then?
No, wait, I have a better idea! You'll like it, I swear. Alright, I got the opening done with. I'm just going to get some courtroom action in and then I think I'll post it. EDIT: Well, Here it is. Lemme know what you all think.
 20. Oh, gee. Garfield minus Garfield. I suppose I have to share my favorites now. O_o
 21.
Call me crazy, and God knows some of the oldies probably will, but instead of having all the established members being the main characters, with the newbies getting whacked and we saving OB as per usual, why don't we do the reverse ? Oldies getting killed off and it's up to the newer members have to step up to the plate and show off their own skills ? The oldies themselves could pop up every so often maybe to give a bit of a help, but they're all mostly in hiding for fear of their lives.
Actually, that was just gonna be one case. I'm thinkning right now I probably won't have a serial killer or anything in here, no strings, just one crime each. They don't even all have to be murders.
You know Ace, if you try this, you're basically proclaiming yourself the new member version of DragonWarrior, those are big boots to try and fit into. Not discouraging you or anything, I'm sure whatever you do will be great to read.
Now you've scared me! I'll do my best, then. And Raiha: You'll find out. You will find out. This is the part where the lightning strikes and I laugh maniacally.
 22. Okay, so I should probably let people know. Raiha didn't kill anyone. I thought about it and no. You will not be the murderer. You're actually my first client. The first case is not murder. Instead it's a bizarre misdemeanor. I looked around for some obscure laws and found one that I just couldn't resist using. Expect the beginning up sometime this weekend.
 23.
Aww, now you ruined the "whodunnit" part! XP You should approach people (or at least the killer) via a PM, Aceburner, and write the fic so that everybody could guess. Bring in suspects and new evidence and witnesses and such. Like a community driven Phoenix Wright, or something. ;D ... Wouldn't it make a great event, though?
The thought had occurred to me. I'm really disorganized here. Well, I'll just mix some stuff around to keep people guessing. The event idea is awesome, though. Who's the current event master again? Someone should pitch this. I'll keep this one as a fic, though. EDIT: Oh, boy. I have some ideas for Raiha's crimes. These should be fun. At this point, I don't even know what the verdict is. Therefore, there's still a surprise ending to the first case. I expect to have it started within the weekend. Maybe even finished.
 24. After some thought, I'm definitely doing multiple cases. Maybe not all of them even being murder. Raiha will be guilty of something. You won't be killing Sabrina, though.
