If there's anyone doing killing on OB, it's me. Everyone's seen Little Deaths here right? I'm just a killer. A murderess. Mistress of mayhem and mischief. Destroyer of all that is good. That or I could be a judge. I mean I've only been here since the original OB went live and theotaku.com was still just Adam's little DBZ fansite.
Why must you be so perfect for this role? Murderer is prolly gonna be Raiha, folks.

Okay, so yeah. Sabrina's definitely up for consideration here. Besides having friends in high places and all that, your logic makes some awesome sense. Man, I even get a motive already! As for you, chibi-master, sorry, but having been here only slightly longer than Sabrina yourself, you have no motive. ;) However, you could still be a witness or something. Is that okay? As of now, nothing is final. I'll still consider anyone who wants to die (in the story, that is.)

Writing A Crossover of Epic Proportions
The Spectacular Professor replied to Doublehex's topic in Creative Works
Okay, 2 quick questions here: 1: Which Kratos are you talking about here? Tales of Symphonia? God of War? Actual Greek Mythology? 2: How exactly were they planning on lynching Kitty Pryde? -
Okay, so I've been mulling this over all day. I was thinking about it when Crystia IM'd me, so I pitched the idea. She thought it was good, so by golly, I'm gonna do it! So here's the basic idea. It's pretty much a courtroom dramedy. Murder case. I haven't fully gotten a plot set up yet and I need some character suggestions. I need: A victim (anyone out there willing to get whacked?) A defendant A prosecutor (I'll probably be defending here.) Some witnesses A jury (maybe) A Judge A murderer Assorted others Also, any suggestions for evidence will be considered. The only actual requirement is your suggestion for characters should be an OB member. I may accept a few random characters from elsewhere, though. So. I'm open to ideas. This thread will probably also come in handy even when (and if) I get this thang off the ground. EDIT: Oh, and a head of the law firm. EDIT 2: And an assistant. Can't do much attorney-ing without someone to handle papers and keep me in line. EDIT 3: And a bailiff. Man, I need to organize my thoughts here.

Are there any author's here?
hey aceburner. question. why do you only write for school assignments? do you ever write for fun?
Mostly yeah, it's just assignments. I try to write for fun sometimes, but it's hard for me to come up with an original concept. I usually have to get an idea from the outside. When I get an idea that works, though, I get pretty crazy. Maybe I'll poison the anthology with one of my shenanigans some day. -
Well, it's a bit belated due to computer problems, but happy birthday you two, it obviously goes without saying that without you two, OB would be around for us to congratulate you on.
:p Anyway, I up and greeted James on AIM last night to wish him well, belated though it was. Then I had to go to bed, because He was hogging my sunlight over there on the other side of the world at the time. And now I have stolen it back. I must harness this concept. It will be key in my conquest.
Des, you should give yourself a small golden triangle. :p
Along with 2 other, slightly darker golden triangles, arranged in a triangle. Just don't set it upside-down! -
Okay, so with the uncut DVD's coming out in the US in less than a month, I thought it would be a good time to bump this thread to share the leaked official FUNi dub version of We Are: My impressions: The intro is terrible. 4Kids managed to portray Gold Roger better. 4Kids. The stereotype people. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, the actual song is just as good if not better than their version of Hikari E. The lyrics fit, the song sounds great and Vig Mignonga is singing again, which is basically instant win. Top notch job excluding the intro. Looking forward to the DVDs. I'm going to try to get them at my earliest convenience. This is gonna be great!

Discuss Digimon: The First DigiDestined

Right, great. I already talked to Darren, but I just wanted to make sure you weren't planning to either, Pyrus. Thanks for that. So I'm having fun. I really should do this more often. -

The Spectacular Professor replied to Lunar's topic in General Discussion
I don't daydream that often anymore. I do write, though. Usually it's just a school assignment, but I'm told I'm super awesome at it. My imagination is pretty much off the deep end at all times. As for genres, I'm mostly into comedy, satire and action/adventure. -
Man, I need to get in the loop. Happy B-day, youse two! Keep on keepin' on! April 30... Gotta make a note of this.

Discuss Digimon: The First DigiDestined
The Spectacular Professor replied to Ellerby's topic in Theater
Also... I'm going to try to get a post in tonight, assuming that Aceburner messages me back, but if not, I might not be back until Thursday because of a state competition with my school.
Gotcha. Your suggestion is actually a really good idea, come to think of it. I expect total ninja ownage to follow. Where is Ugamon, anyway? I can tell he knows his stuff when it comes to Digimon. I miss him. EDIT: Okay guys, try not to take it too personally, but I have a special request coming up: Do Not Kill Renamon. Yet, at least. I have some very vague plans, but I know I don't want her to go down too soon. At this point, I'm pretty sure she's not going to be on Boogeymon's side when the group finally confronts him. She may or may not die after that, but I want her alive for now. You can go ahead and injure her or scare her off, though. If you want to allude to her alliance shift, that's fine, too. -
I mean, I was told last week that sleeping in pants is bad for your circulation. How does that work?
And yet you get arrested for running around nekkid from the waist down in daylight. You just can't win.
You're probably thinking of the newest one out that's called Splenda, that has a sweet taste that I find a bit sickening. It tastes quite a bit sweeter than aspartame.
Actually, I've tried both. My parents went Atkins-crazy a couple of years ago, so all I got was diet for a couple of months (they eventually let me have normal food.) Since then, I've popped open a diet from time to time when there's not much else to drink, so I've tried diet Splenda coke as well as the other kind. I still think they're both sweeter. It's funny, I've noticed that Kool-Aid made from Splenda tastes about the same as the regular stuff. Then again, I hardly even drink Kool-Aid anymore.
So, the caffeine fix I get comes from soda, like diet Coke or diet Dr. Pepper -- diet because the syrup for regular soda leaves a nasty taste that I don't like. Though maybe that's why I don't like sugar in coffee either, I've never liked my drinks to have a strong sweet taste to them. Sugar shock is not something that I enjoy. XP
That's kinda weird. I actually always considered diet soda to taste sweeter than regular. Maybe it's just a different type of sweet I'm getting. Anyway, I'm personally not a fan of diet soda. Don't know why. Probably has something to do with the whole childhood "good for you=bad taste" thing (though oddly enough, I can never get enough milk.) I've just never been fond of the taste. Besides, diet soda uses aspartame. I'd rather be fat than have cancer.:p

Writing A Crossover of Epic Proportions
The Spectacular Professor replied to Doublehex's topic in Creative Works
Well, I am only up to Volume 11 (or is it 12?) Its when they first meet the whale, so I don't understand Luffy 101%.
Oh, right. I should probably try not to spoil it for you. Try to get to Alabasta as soon as you can, though. Most epic arc in the entire series. -
Writing A Crossover of Epic Proportions
The Spectacular Professor replied to Doublehex's topic in Creative Works
So far it's awesome. I feel the need to say that Luffy can't die, however. After Alabasta, I think the only reason I'm convinced he's not a ghost is the fact that he's beaten the crap out of at least half a dozen other guys afterwards (kidding.) -
I pretty much feel required to share this now. Allamorph pwning me in theory due to Skittles powers. Aceofplaces (1:20:09 AM): I have a friend who used to soak warheads in water to take away the sour. Allamorph (1:20:16 AM): Pansy. Aceofplaces (1:20:25 AM): that was also super-effective. Allamorph (1:20:35 AM): No duh. Allamorph (1:20:51 AM): I would eat Warheads back to back Aceofplaces (1:21:03 AM): it was like a vanilla hard candy when it was done. Allamorph (1:21:19 AM): Then the sweet would make the ensuing sour taste even worse, Allamorph (1:21:30 AM): and then the following sweet would be like heaven. Allamorph (1:21:52 AM): But! Allamorph (1:21:57 AM): Starburst. Aceofplaces (1:22:32 AM): I hear they're really good. Aceofplaces (1:22:37 AM): BUT. Aceofplaces (1:22:49 AM): Can you turn your desk into them? Allamorph (1:22:58 AM): Green Apple (good), Tangerine (good), Blue Raspberry (best of the whole pack!!), and Strawberry. Allamorph (1:23:03 AM): Why? Allamorph (1:23:07 AM): I like my desk. Aceofplaces (1:23:28 AM): I shook a man's hand on the bus. Aceofplaces (1:23:39 AM): He'll never see his family again. Allamorph (1:23:59 AM): You .... evil person. Allamorph (1:24:10 AM): Use your ripped-off Skittle powers for good! Aceofplaces (1:24:21 AM): Never! Allamorph (1:24:29 AM): Besides, that's technically cannibalism. Aceofplaces (1:24:54 AM): global domination via skittles alchemy is too much fun! Allamorph (1:25:23 AM): And that's why we have sniper rifles. Aceofplaces (1:25:42 AM): I ate the skittle-skittle fruit. Aceofplaces (1:25:56 AM): I can turn to and from skittles at will. Aceofplaces (1:26:04 AM): I win. Allamorph (1:26:07 AM): Oh, good. Allamorph (1:26:24 AM): Then I get to toss you in the ocean instead. Allamorph (1:26:29 AM): Allamorph (1:26:52 AM): Skittles are weak to Water-types. Allamorph (1:26:58 AM): Or didn't you get the memo? Aceofplaces (1:27:17 AM): yes, but I'll turn you into skittles as soon as you touch me. Allamorph (1:27:29 AM): And besides, a grape Skittle a high velocities will still be very much pain. Allamorph (1:27:59 AM): Sorry, Charlie. Allamorph (1:28:18 AM): You is playin' against Holmes and Moriarty combined. Aceofplaces (1:28:20 AM): water pressure is one of the strongest forces known to man. Allamorph (1:28:23 AM): Ain't no way you can win. Allamorph (1:28:39 AM): Water also dissolves you. Allamorph (1:28:41 AM): Aceofplaces (1:29:09 AM): Isn't it enough that it would just immobilize me? Allamorph (1:29:16 AM): Nopers. Allamorph (1:29:25 AM): I never kill bag guys half way. Allamorph (1:29:28 AM): Bad idea. Allamorph (1:29:32 AM): (*bad) Allamorph (1:29:39 AM): (Bad guys) Aceofplaces (1:29:59 AM): Hey, the straw hat crew never kills! Aceofplaces (1:30:24 AM): apparently beating the crap out of everyone they meet is deterrent enough. Allamorph (1:30:31 AM): Thirdly, once you activated your Skittles transformation, I'd not only be able to contain you in a space small enough to ensure that you remain in that form, Aceofplaces (1:31:01 AM): what would you contain me in? Allamorph (1:31:25 AM): A cage made out of melted and reforged Skittles. Allamorph (1:31:33 AM): Prefferably Orange. Allamorph (1:31:41 AM): But Green will do. Aceofplaces (1:32:31 AM): wait, if it's a cage, I'd be able to slide through the bars with my Skittle powers. Allamorph (1:32:34 AM): I know what you're thinking, and that ain't quite how it works. Allamorph (1:32:41 AM): First, solid walls. Aceofplaces (1:32:48 AM): darn. Allamorph (1:33:03 AM): Second, metal reinforcements, so gears still function between the walls. Allamorph (1:33:16 AM): Third, you cannot absorb Skittles, you can only create. Aceofplaces (1:33:27 AM): and become. Allamorph (1:33:39 AM): That means that you are limited to the Skittles that comprise your body mass. Allamorph (1:33:50 AM): Once that is done, it Aceofplaces (1:34:03 AM): which I can repeatedly pelt the walls with. Allamorph (1:34:17 AM): Not in that small a space, my naive friend. Aceofplaces (1:34:33 AM): and I suppose I can't turn anything into skittles that's already skittles? Allamorph (1:34:34 AM): Ain't no room for movement, 'cause you're already in Skittle-fomr. Allamorph (1:34:41 AM): (*form) Allamorph (1:35:01 AM): And I ain't tellin' ya how I trick you into doing that for me. Aceofplaces (1:35:20 AM): which means I have no mouth to eat m surroundings with? Aceofplaces (1:35:43 AM): Seastone seems so much less complicated... Aceofplaces (1:35:52 AM): *my Allamorph (1:36:00 AM): Once that's done, it's a simple matter to time-release your Skittle particles few by few into the ocean, where they will either dissolve or be eaten by various wildlife and digested. Allamorph (1:36:23 AM): Thus, you will suffer one of the most drawn-out deaths possible. Aceofplaces (1:37:15 AM): curse you, L. Allamorph (1:37:25 AM): And since you are limited to your Skittle body mass, you cannot regenerate by merely touching other Skittles, plus you must also have all your Body-Skittles in close proximity to reform. Aceofplaces (1:37:47 AM): No way for a murderous bastard to win against a genius like you, eh? Allamorph (1:37:49 AM): You will die unless you change your evil ways, bay-bee. Allamorph (1:37:57 AM): *sings&* Basic gist is I'll never win against the guy. He knows his hypothetical stuff. Also, I've got a jar of dirt!: Here's a hilarious one. We got to watch it in driver's ed yesterday. Warning: stray middle finger near the end. Wait, I just realized I haven't mentioned
Leomon
of Digimon Tamers yet. That was totally harsh.
I consider it to be one of the main catalysts of the season, since if Leomon hadn't died, Jeri wouldn't have gone over the edge in despair. In turn, she wouldn't have been susceptible to the D-reaper, which wouldn't have made it to Earth without its Jeri scout. Grani wouldn't have made a reappearance, meaning no Gallantmon Crimson Mode. In conclusion, even if they did destroy the D-reaper in the finale, it wouldn't have been as epic and emotion-filled as it was. It was very well done, but it was a terrible loss at the time.

It's not a racism thing in the sense of White-on-Black, because one of the firing officers was a black man himself, the issue is police brutality and, what I believe is, the general 'criminalization' of black men, seeing as how this isn't the first time the cops just assumed that a young black male was packing heat.
Actually, two of the officers were black. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the other is totally white, either. Kind of funny, with all the people standing outside the courthouse chanting "KKK!". Yeah, uh, people, that's the white supremacist group. Like Allamorph said, dragging racism into it is about as stupid as it gets. It was what it was: police brutality. Maybe there was a personal thing, I don't know. Apparently the guy used to hang with drug dealers and other shady types and attempted to run over one of the officers at the scene. Still no excuse to load him with 50 rounds. All anyone really needs to know is excessive force was used in a populated area. I've heard of another incident where a swat team loaded a speeder with everything they had. I didn't have too many qualms about that because by that time he had sstolen a car and killed an officer and dog on top of speeding and they were in the middle of a forest with no other humans living nearby. It was still a bit shocking that authorities would ever feel the need to unload an entire weapon on a single target, though.

I drink soda when I can get it. That's really the only caffeine I get since I dislike the smell of coffee and energy drinks don't taste that great to me, not to mention have about 30 times the amount of caffeine in each can than I'll ever need in a lifetime.
Fix [fiks] n.
6. Another small problem I have with this concept art: I don't care what her name is. Drop the Neko thing now. It's stupid and it's going to bother people. She goes intangible. The only person who should sprout furry ears and a tail is Beast, and you're obviously going for the wide-eyed flying child abductor look for him.

You know what's kind of irritating at times like this? Double Jeopardy. Can't there be some kind of clause for when the judge is obviously full of it?
