It's been a while since I played Fusion so I don't remember the exact spot you're talking about. But I'll give you a tip that will most likely lead to the solution: If you shinespark horizontally into a slope in the ground you'll start running again and can then store another shinespark charge. Some of the items in the two GBA Metroids make you get really creative with the shinespark like that.
Yeah, I checked a guide. Never would have figured that out on my own. These games make you think, no doubt about that. I had to get a few tips before I got 100%, Prime seems a bit easier to piece together, though. Probably because if you put too many fake walls in a 3-D game without some way of detecting them, you're bound to get stuck permanently.

I said I would, and I am. Metroid Prime, baby. This game is awesome. I've only got a few upgrades to go before I'm fully powered up (minus the tank upgrades.) I like this game so much I went out earlier today and bought Metroid Prime 2: Echoes so I could play that too (Kind of stuck after that, though. Corruption just HAD to be on the Wii. Good thing I'm planning to buy one eventually.)

Here's a simple concept. Post things here that you find funny. Could be a joke, funny photo, image macro and now, for a limited time only, Youtube videos! Stick to the site rules and copyright infringement is bad and all that. Other than that, have fun. My contribution:

Prostitution, Spitzer, and other stuff
Saying one show sucks implies that he doesn't understnad what the concept of animation is? How does that work prem? It's just a show. Not even that revolutionary of a show. It's just a show. Sure it may be a good show(well that's subjective...) but that hardly makes a difference in his ability to understand what anime is.
Don't question Prem's logic. He's like the Yang of this site. Speaking of which, where's the Yin gotten off to lately?
Its all romance and all tht crap theres no adventure!!No people killing other people!
That is possibly the absolute worst reason I have seen for anyone to hate a show.
Aye, but then again us "Looney Tuners" never tried dropping anvils on our friends heads, or launching them from catapults. I know they were tryin' to have fun, but abandoning intelligence is just kinda ... well, unintelligent.
Tragic and all, but.... This. I'm not buying it. Too much doesn't make any sense. A 5th grader thought he could manipulate sand? I wish I was pyrokinetic. I wouldn't have set myself on fire in 1st grade. They thought he was playing when he started flailing around? That just sounds stupid. Finally, If he was imitating Gaara, could someone direct me to the chapter in which he purposefully buries himself in sand from the waist up? because that sounds an awful lot more like the way he kills people. I see they set up a memorial fund. I'll be nice and refrain from a "cure for stupid" comment. It depresses me that this happened, but the circumstances depress me more. (and I'm sorry if I come off as heartless, death can be hard on anyone. I just don't understand how all these things that shouldn't even occur can line up in such a perfect, deadly manner.)
This just in- according to my local news Spitzer may have spent about 80K on escorts
Holy crap, he's a player! 'Cept not, since he paid for it and all. Why does it seem like people like this are all we ever elect? Or are they just the only ones who get publicity? -
Dog breeds, your favorite and why...i
The Spectacular Professor replied to Akieen Cloud's topic in General Discussion
Something is very wrong with this: this thread has existed for 2 days and still no Aaryanna? Anyway, I gotta sat my mutt is fine with me, I like all dogs, really. If I get one after I move out of my parent's house, I'll probably get something either small and manageable or medium-sized. I'd probably get it as a puppy. -
So Haku got the game yesterday. I mostly play as Samus (mainly Zero Suit) since we haven't unlocked Captain Falcon or Sonic yet. ZSS isn't nearly as bad as people are making her out to be, IMO. She's pretty fast and her down B is weird but effective.
Fusion kind of slipped between the cracks in a big way I think. I never heard all that much about it even right after its release. The hype of Metroid Prime really overshadowed it since they released on the same day. Still, it's a great game, even if it is way more linear than other Metroids. I especially liked the deeper look into Samus's character, in her interactions with Adam.
Just finished. It is a really good game. I haven't really finished any other Metroids yet, despite owning the original and Prime. I think I'll pick up Prime again soon. I've been trying to get most of the canisters on this one, which is mind-numbingly difficult even for some of the ones I have found. One room I am particularly frustrated with. There's not enough room to gain momentum and I have to shinedash the ceiling. I'll probably use a guide.

I'm playing Metroid Fusion. Sure it's old, but it slipped through the cracks on me last time and I'm pretty much addicted. Once I beat this, I'm considering finally picking up Prime again and finishing it.

I really probably have a bad opinion of this. I personally hate the idea of paying for a game more than once, so no buying MMO's for me. I download the free ones. I only really have one which is Tales of Pirates. It's a fun little distraction but gets old fast, so I'm mostly a solo to 4-player gamer. MMO's can be pretty fun if you get the right one, though. (BTW: Don't get Pirates of the Carribbean Online. Even on the slowest servers it is ridiculously laggy and the game itself isn't fun enough to make up for it.)

What Will Your Tombstone Say?
The Spectacular Professor replied to Raiha's topic in General Discussion
Hah. Dates can't lie to me this time. That is a post by Chibihorsewoman made within the past hour! What? I'm putting that on my tombstone. -
Specifically Yu-Gi-Oh!, but any you like will be fine. For those of you who have been ninja training either in a cave, on Mount Fuji or in the sewers of New York City, the abridged series is a concept that has been around for a while now. The basic premise is to take an Anime, condense the episodes into 5-10 minutes and convey the basic idea through poking fun at the show a lot. This can be either extremely funny (i.e. Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged) or tragically misguided (i.e. most of the others.) My favorite is probably Yu-Gi-Oh!, but Naruto's abridged series does deserve some mention (As the creator of the first said, though, "It's just not as good as Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series.") So, what are your thoughts? Any series you'd like to recommend? Discuss your favorites?
I'm surprised you had any hope with me to begin with. I will admit that the new pokemon dub is ****... I was flippin through the channels and I stopped on Pokemon and thought "I used to like this show lets see where it has gone after all these years." "This is ****!" Is what immediately came out of my mouth. See that's something that goes beyond dubs. That is a direct insult to a child's intelligence.
Ironically, 4Kids isn't handling Pokemon anymore. That's okay, though, Digimon was better the whole time.:whoops:
Meh the differences are minor in my opinion. Neither is better than the other and they are both not very good. But whatever to each his own.
In this case I no longer have hope for you.:p

How to Deal with a Witch
The Spectacular Professor replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
******* the duck joke. I say throw her in the pond and see if she floats. If she floats she's a witch. If she's a witch, burn her.
Aren't there usually heavy chains involved in this experiment? And if she sinks she drowns? Either way, your only remaining problem would be the murder charges.:p -
Alright, truth to that statement, Allamorph. Here's a couple action scenes to mull over. Here we see one of the most epic fights from the original series being butchered like Barry the Chopper's wife. Note the delicate, subtle use of puns in every other sentence despite this scenes originally serious nature. Also observe the annoying cereal jingle playing in the background at all times. Oh, and blood edits and junk, too, but those are moderately acceptable. Here we see a guy get OHKO'd. admittedly not the best action scene the series has ever had, but let's break it down in style, yes? No puns. This scene is serious bidniss, after all. Colleen Clinkenbeard seems to have a wider range of emotion that the 4Kids VA's "surprised and excited even when angry or in pain." The original music is kept. Not only is this better in my opinion, but the change was pretty much pointless in the first place. Another strike for 4Kids. Did you see those knuckle imprints?! Admittedly they were deeper in the original, but at least you get the idea that getting punched will have an adverse effect on your health and appearance. Overall, not what you were watching before. Now that you know, go ahead and pass judgment however you may. At least you are more informed.
I thought both of those dubs were mediocre. But then I think that show as a whole is mediocre.
Well then in those terms the only difference is that mediocre doesn't even begin to describe the first clip.
Check the dates, bucko. That post was from almost four years ago. =P (In fact, how'd this thread get rezzed, anyway?)
You mean this thread has been... Necromanced!? I feel dirty...

Well, I decided to bump this. Because with the upsurge of new members, I'm sure there's someone who realizes how much this series doesn't suck. Because it totally doesn't suck, does it? Does it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Well, I really hate One Piece! It pisses the hell out of me just looking at it. And it is so God damn annoying!! I don't understand how people could stand it. It just makes pirates look bad. -_-' Nothing personal. Coco*
Alright, that's it. Time to make use of the freakin' Youtube button. What you have been watching is this: What I enjoy is this: By the way, in the first clip: Zoro was originally cleaning his sword. All I ask is that people watch actual shows and not pale insulting imitations before passing judgement.
