Things I wish I could forget
The Spectacular Professor replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in General Discussion
And after all this you still call yourself his fanboy.:p Anyway, Strep Throat. I've had it twice and it doesn't get any more fun the second time around. Sure, you don't have to go to school, but here's the fun of that if you are in constant agonizing pain? I wanted to tear my own throat out because I was pretty sure it would hurt less. Also, today an acquaintance of mine threw one of my friends to the ground at church for no discernible reason. Said friend lay on the couch sobbing in pain for a good 45 minutes while one of my other friends and I tracked him down and told him not to come back (we've dealt with him before. This is his 4th stint of Church hiatus. The previous evictions were based on similar circumstances. If he comes back, us calm, peaceful Christians may just have to kill him.) -
Gaming Chrono Trigger: Resurrection
The Spectacular Professor replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Noosphere
Well, to start off, I hope I didn't get anybody excited like I was after first finding out about Chrono Trigger Resurrection - the PS2-Level graphic Chrono Trigger remake. I mean, I was never so happy in my life as I was that day (or 15 minutes). this WAS going to be a project that we would probably be playing on PC right now but, for some reason, the project was discontinued not too long after it was started. Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPGs out there and it was nice to think that there was going to be a remake but now that there's not, I don't know what game(s) I'm looking forward to now. So, why did I bring this up? I have no idea.
It's because it was an unofficial fan work and Square Enix have no idea what the term "flattery" means. All they care about is the money that they could have made off of this had they thought of it. Seriously, why did they have to send a cease and desist letter? They could have, I dunno, hired the people behind it and made twice as much money as any of their crappy Final Fantasy spinoffs will ever make. Way to think, big business. -
Astroboy. Not only has it been out for a VERY long time, it has garnered enough attention to be referenced in Freakazoid, which is one of the best American cartoons ever.

What is your opinion of waffles?
The Spectacular Professor replied to emo_dude's topic in General Discussion
;805758']What, were you just sitting there eating a waffle, and the idea occurred... "Hmm... I wonder how other people feel about waffles. There should be a thread about this!" I swear, that wasn't meant to sound mean in any way.
What? There's been cottage cheese and ramen. Heck, we've had a soda thread. Waffles are just the next logical step. Spinach thread coming soon maybe a little. -
Like ( finished) ------------ Fullmetal Alchemist
If you're open to reading, I highly recommend the FMA Manga. It's got a totally different (IMO better) story from around the 5th lab on. It's not complete yet, but I suspect it will be soon.
Even better:
Water ? 5 L Carbon ? 20 kg Ammonia ? 4 L Lime ? 1.5 kg Phosphorous ? 800 g Salt ? 250 g Saltpeter ? 100 g Sulfur ? 80 g Fluorine ? 7.5 g Iron ? 5 g Silicon ? 3 g And trace amounts of fifteen other elements.

It'll cost you an arm and a leg to make something out of that. Eh? Eh? -
And here I was thinking that this forum had degenerated into a den of debauchery and forbidden love. Feel free to make it so, one day... :p
Forbidden? Nay, this is a sign of encouragement!;) EDIT: Aww, it's gone. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted. -
Now I just need to borrow Aceburner's avatar and I'm set.
Not so much. Des provided me with the resize of this thing, you see. -
Oh, I see. I didn't even think it was in long enough for it to be called a subplot. More like a concept at that stage. Actually,
Magnadramon and Seraphimon in the movie were pretty nice, for all of the two seconds ther were actually on screen
. Would have been nice to see them get some proper action too. I guess that's what fanfiction and trading card games are for :p
If you want to see more of
Seraphimon,
he shows up a few times in Frontier (I recommend tracking down the subs of that one, the dub is pretty lousy.) No word on the other one, but Ophanimon, which is an alternate Salamon/Gatomon Mega, is also in Frontier.

Wow, I was thinking about something to this extent the other day. Not exactly, but something to this extent: I know for a fact that it is possible to imbed youtube videos on VBulletin sites. Not only that, but Otakuboards is VBulletin powered, no? Here is my thought: We post a lot of news articles and such, an accompanying video may be kind of helpful at times. Of course, there would probably need to be guidelines, but that could be easily solved by outlinking or content warning. Besides that, There's some pretty funny stuff on youtube sometimes, too. Just a thought. It may work, it may not, but I like the idea.
Ace are you insinuating I'm emo?
No, I'm insinuating that you posted an Invader Zim image. And Ikillion, I like whipped cream on waffles, though usually I also have some strawberries with it. -
This game is addictive. I would actually love to listen to the hit song "Leaving without that Mouse!!" If only such a crazy song were real.
If you're waiting for a concert tour, no such luck, I'm afraid. List of Acanthodians was annhilated by the terrorists, who were really just fulfilling their end of the bargain. Last tima an imityator sprang up, they detained the members until they could schedule an exorcism for all 7 members. But enough about them. (Title of album is from a Zoey 101 quote. I thought about refreshing, then I realized that the quote is almost pure gold to match with a Middle-Eastern political party. Plus, it gives us a chance to make fun of Jamie Lynn Spears and her pregnancy. Because, y'know, she's a Spears.) Moriah is an up-and-coming Jazz quintet. Their first album, "Both Under Dorm Arrest," deals a lot with the roots of the group's name. Indeed, it is thought that the title came from an incident involving American racism towards two arab college student inventors who walked into a classroom with their new prototype "Soda can sparkler" belts and were placed in an old, abandoned dormitory until such a time as campus authorities could determine that the belts were not, in fact, explosives, but a flashy birthday decoration. It should be noted that unlike stereotypes may dictate, members of Moriah are peaceful as opposed to extremist. A classic example of this is track one of the aforementioned album, "Mamas, don't let your Children Grow up to be Jihadists." They would also like to point out that Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant.

Invader Zim. Invading high schools, emo kid minds, and now Otakuboards. Just like an invader should. Now begone from my sight, Gir.
From here, one administers appropriate toppings?syrup (maple or pecan) and butter being the most common, but ranging to any sort of breakfasty item. Strawberries, for instace, or strawberry preserves/jam; or other fruits; or chocolate; or powdered sugar; or combinations of any or all of the above.
Allamorph, WHERE IS MY FREAKING PEANUT BUTTER!? *ahem* Waffles are great. They rate just slightly below pancakes in my book due to the fact that huckleberries don't fit into waffles very well (if anyone's curious, a Huckleberry is a wild berry found in the Pacific Norhtwest United States, particularly in mountainous regions. I consider them the 3rd most delicious fruit in existance. good luck finding any off of reservation property, though.) Gimme some maple syrup and butter, strawberries and whuipped cream (typing this is making my mouth water,) or peanut butter if they're leftovers. Yum. -
Haha, yeah. And what on earth was the
God of the Digi-deep about; that Cthulu-like thing randomly inserted at the end of one episode, but then never even referred to again?
Messy, messy writing.
That's what I meant by the vanishing subplot. "He will hunt you down, Kari!" He could have at least been a little more, you know, proactive about the whole thing. I would totally dig a Chtulhumon (Hey, that's kind of catchy! Probably wouldn't fizzle and die as fast as a
resurrected Myotismon,
either.) But yeah, the Armor designs were pretty cool, especially Magnamon. So was the DNA evolution (Though, as usual, the main Digimon got the most powerups.)

Alright, after finally finishing all of them in some form or other, Tamers is still my favorite. Also, I think people aren't giving Frontier as much credit as it deserves. Sure, parts were a bit weak, but I still liked it better than 02, which soffered from mondo plotholes, a weak start, an unfinished subplot and a terrible finale. Savers is worth a looking at. I enjoyed it quite a bit. However, speaking of bad finales, this is almost on par with 02's.
Looks pretty climactic at first, but don't be decieved. They just pull off that stupid overused digisoul crap and destroy the GOD OF THE FREAKING DIGITAL WORLD with an overpowered rookie. Not impressive. Not even a little.
Did I mention I don't like 02's finale? One of my favorite villains got owned by
emotions.
It made me sad. A review of all five seasons are on my MyOtaku page, if anyone's interested.

List of Acanthodians was a lesser known group, mostly because they never seemed to settle on any particular genre for any particular song. A prime example of this is the title track of the album pictured above, "Leaving without that Mouse!!" which horrifically clashes with itself on seven different occasions because of an abrupt style change. The song cycles through soft rock, punk, emo, classical, a capella and gospel thirteen times before finally ending with a jazzy feel. Seeing as how the song is only four and a half minutes long, it causes a fair amount of sensory overload. On a concert tour in Iraq, the band was captured by Jihadists. They then became the first hostages for Islam extremists to threaten to release if demands were not met (demands were promptly met.)

I could almost swear you did that on purpose, Prem. Anyway: John Lewis's debut album was the subject of much controversy around the time of its release. Although the cover does clearly say "VIP," these initials refer to the chicken painted on the store front and not the actual CD. The actual title can be found on the bird itself: "He is World Deep." Whether or not this also refers to the chicken is still the subject of much debate, although a slightly less popular theory involving the store owner has also surfaced recently.

So I hear you can't actually control Ganon. This disappoints me, but I still have Toon Link.
;805366']I know. I'm not a complete idiot. Just saying. At the rate that things are going, anything can become possible. My point was that if he COULD... yeah.
You have a point. If it weren't for that, he'd be set up almost exactly like James A. Garfield.
