What Will Your Tombstone Say?
The Spectacular Professor replied to Raiha's topic in General Discussion
Okay, I thought of another one. "Here lies Ace. Boiled alive by his latest attempts at pyrokinesis." -
What Will Your Tombstone Say?
The Spectacular Professor replied to Raiha's topic in General Discussion
"Here lies Ace Moron had it comin'" or... "Not a restroom. Thank you." Speaking of which, I just remembered a horrific spawn of my imagination. If I were a tombstone maker, I would shape the markers of all dog haters to be fire hydrants. -
Wahoo, here it is. I was just about to go looking for you. I'm currently midway through a fit of nostalgia and the only cure is more [strike]cowbell[/strike] Digimon. After having rewatched the first 3 seasons, I'm about to move on to Frontier. It may have been the dubbing, but this one was originally my least favorite season. That's part of why I'm watching it Subbed (the other being that Disney dubbed it instead of Saban and since Disney isn't out of business, it's really hard to find the dub on teh internets.) Tamers is definitely my favorite. I've only seen about 1/3rd of an episode of Savers, but I plan to watch it like the others after Frontier. What little I did see I wasn't too excited about, but I won't make a judgment based on a fraction of an episode.

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
The Spectacular Professor replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
Heh, I'm so weird. I'm rewatching the Saban dub of Digimon at the time. The reason is a mixture of wanting to take part in a discussion on another forum and nostalgia. I finished Tamers first because it's the best, then I moved on to Adventure 01. I'm about halfway through Adventure 02 now. This one is pun-ridden, but it's not too bad other than that. I guess I'll have to catch Frontier and Savers as well, but I'm not really looking forward to it. -
Phoenix could be in as a support character- he could 'Object' to someone's last move or KO or Final Smash and reverse the last few seconds of action. That would be interesting.
Sure, I'd be fine with support. Makes perfect sense. I just can't think of a full movelist for him. Then again, Captain Falcon sat in a car in all his games, so it may work.
Hanna Montana - I don't want to even talk about it. she is very talented, but annoying as all hell.
Her biggest problem is the fact that her last name is "Cyrus." This should have automatically given her a good reason to be a non-cut of the mold annoying Disney tween pop "star." Of course, guess what genre she chose. I mean, come on, her dad is flipping Billy Ray Cyrus.

Just about anyone who has a record deal with Disney. [/thread]

Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon Well, I've pretty much been a Harvest Moon fan for a while now. I started with A Wonderful Life on Gamecube, and have basically enjoyed most of the series since then. I think this one may be my favorite. The basics: If you've played Harvest Moon, you know what's going on here. You run a farm, try to make money, chat up the locals, maybe even get married. Nothing really groundbreaking here. Well, except the multi-floor dungeons chock full of monsters. That's right, a Harvest Moon dungeon crawler. so far, I'm enjoying it a lot. My only qualm is that you can't just buy your "Livestock." You have to befriend violent little critters in the dungeons to milk and shear. However, this is more than made up for by many things, chief among them is you don't have to collect 60 freaking seemingly random items just to get married. I like that.
Beyond that it's a lot of fun and, at least personally, I prefer the actual track listing. As far as I'm concerned Deep Purple's Highway Star makes this game.
Yeah, but can you play it while simultaneously reuniting a lost pug with its devastated owner? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOfwEaihDWM In all seriousness, though, Rock Band looks pretty awesome. If I had money to burn, I'd probably own it. I've only heard a couple of bad things and those were just word of mouth. (And songs, buddy, if the game measured octave, how on Smurf would people like me ever get past the first 5 levels?)

Hmm, looks interesting. Digging the theme music, plus the fact that practically everyone wears glasses (don't know why, I just like glasses, I guess.) I'm a total tech nerd, too. Looks like I'm actually branching out for once.

Anime The anime here in america...is it getting childish?
The Spectacular Professor replied to Humaru's topic in Otaku Central
Fox had Pokémon, Digimon, and a few others on their FoxBox thingamajigger, assuming I remember right. (I think Yu-Gi-Oh! GX was there for a while, too.)
Fox never had Pokemon, despite the fact that it's a 4Kids license. Digimon hasn't been on Fox for about 5 or 6 years, if I remember, back when it was still Fox Kids. About the time Saban went out of business and they sold the block to 4Kids. Yu-Gi-Oh! was on FoxBox for a while, unless it was already 4Kids TV at the time. Now stop making me type "4Kids." Jerks.:p -
I have very little life outside of the internet. If I'm on hiatus ever, I'm usually not home. Protip, folks: if you know where I live and notice I've stopped posting for a few days, you can probably pull off a more or less successful robbery. And now we lie in wait and hope DeadSeraphim pops up in this thread somewhere...

We're talking legit ninja, right? Like stealth attacks and black costumes, as opposed to hyperactive people who run around in bright orange jumpsuits while yelling really loudly and using bargain bin Hadokens? 'Cuz if that's the case, I might be in on this.

Delay.... EEEEEYAAAAAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAAAAAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!1. *deep breath* Hope not. That would seriously be unfun. There's only two characters I would forgive another delay for. Cel-shaded Link is doubtful and Earthworm Jim is next to impossible. By the way, anyone got some seriously strange character recommendations to report? Phoenix Wright seems to be getting a following, but the most combat I've seen him in is getting owned by a corrupt CEO and being on the business end of a whip and a
tazer.
Alright, sounds great! I'll keep this one in mind once I get a PS2.
-
Sounds interesting. I'm planning on getting a PS2 sometime soon, but I had no idea what I wanted aside from Tales of the Abyss and Guitar Hero. DDR is probably a must, too. Anyway, I like what I hear about this one. RPGs with active battle systems are always a plus for me. I like space and I like pirates, so that's there, too. One question, is this voice acted? If so, are the voices annoying and can you turn them off? I don't really care too much, but quality voice acting is something I tend to enjoy in games.

Oh, yeah, Foster's is okay, I guess. We're getting off topic here. We should probably start a separate thread in the Ampitheater or something.
-
^Yeah, but it's eras like this when I miss Amblin. At 7 I was watching Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, stuff like that. I can still enjoy that stuff now. WB's current lineup: Loonatics Unleashed. Oh lawdy.

That's [AS]. I mean their children's programming. Can you think of any of those you wouldn't have any moral qualms subjecting another human being to?
