Pokemon was only good for as long as it was because it took them 2 seasons or so to realize how much they hate being reasonable.

About the appeal, it's more of an overall "feel" to the show. There's a unique charm it has that if you don't get it right away, it may just not be for you. I just want to reiterate that it is by no means "bad." I seriously have to watch more Bo-bobo before I pass judgment, but what I've seen isn't too horrible. I also have yet to give FLCL a try.

The reason it's still airing is because after they destroyed, shattered and violated it, they threw it away for not making them any money. If you just have a Wii, the better graphics aren't really worth buying a whole new system for. Plus the smoother transitions and frame rate don't really do much to change the fact that the male lead singer looks like a fish that learned to walk. I don't have any idea why they thought it was a good idea to give that sin against nature so many close-ups, but he's uglier than Donald Trump's hair. Other than that, good game. I might pick it up once I get a PS2.

It's a long and complicated story, but the short end is that the manga and anime experience a gaping storyline split around the Laboratory 5 incident. In the manga, the fuhrer is Wrath. Pride is Selim. The little kid who's Wrath in the anime doesn't exist in the manga.[/spoiler] Anyway, I haven't watched in a while and stopped around episode 25, but I think I prefer the manga storyline to the anime. However, I plan on watching the rest of the anime when I get the chance. I definitely like both.
