No, it' just she doesn't know the name of the lead singer, Claudio Sanchez. I don't care about the shirt, she can go ahead and wear it if she likes the music or if she plain old likes the shirt. All I meant was that I'd be pissed because she got the singer's name wrong.

The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty: 07 Edition(Nominate or Die)
Aberinkula replied to Justin's topic in General Discussion
o yoWhat is it? Naps the Cat Why is it Nifty? Naps helped bring a small joke into a bigger picture that led to ULTRA-FUN. Naps was also the symbol of the Final Quest for Glory RPG, and the feline freind also became an OB mascot. I mean, if I were you I'd pet that *****. What is it? 2008Digitalboy Why is it nifty? Well, I'm not just nomitnating him because he's my friend, but I'm nominating him because he's part of OB. He's contributed RPGs, stories, anime discussions (semteimes about little girls >_>) and eh even doesn't care about those members that despise him truly. And for those of you who despise him without any remorse, why? What is it? Premonition Wy is it Nifty? IK, me abd DB are selfish, but I think I'm a valuable asset to OB. I mean I'm easy to burn and I'm easy to laugh at, hell, I can even make a new member look liek an oldie because of my sometimes horrible attitude and grammar. I like DB, have haters left and right, and I have pepople that treat me respectfully. Besides, you need a little Premoniton once and a while. What is it? The Banning of The Beast & Mitch Why is it Nifty? I hated that guy in all honesty. He was up for the RPG and that was all he should have been here for. I mean, how many times has he been banned? the same with Mitch, my god those two would ahve made a great couple. But their bannng were different. Mitch hated OB, and his views were vaguely annoying , and The Beast was a smart-*** trash talking moron. Excuse my language too, btw. What is it? The Super Utah Mod Squad & Their Mom Why is it Nifty? I've always wanted to call them that but never found the right time to. Anyways, these mods are some of the best members I've crossed paths with on OB. Indiff, Aaryanna, Rahc, SunfallE, Aaryanna_Mom (or Kathy as she is also known by) are great members, not to mention polite and fun.
Except when they poke... it's like death tapping on your arm.
-
Supposedly there's going to be the obvious Guitar Hero 4, along with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
Boy, I wish they'd make one for a non-classic rock band. I mean Aerosmith is good, but I don't much like the classics.
I remember one day when she wore a Coheed and Cambria shirt to school, and this really metal looking chick approached and asked her all these questions about the band: Metal girl:"What's the lead singer's name?" My friend: "Uhhhh..... Bon Jovi?"
Well, if I heard that I would be pissed cause I'm a huge Coheed and Cambria fan that it's not even funny. I don't have of the comics, but I'd be pissed anyways. Sometimes soemone like that can make someone, (I.e. me) POed.

Holly bull-fircken crap, but they'll probably end up being for the next-gen consoles. But ****, maybe this franchise should also stay in last-gen because the graphics aren't exactely piece de la resistance, and it could keep people like me, happy until I get Rock Band and a 360. Rumor has it they're will be one for the mobile phones too?

...I think pie comes before Kuja.
wasn't Kuja a pervert? Wouldn't that mean he'd come before a pie would?
Nerdsy maybe...
I'll kidnap him and give him to Kam. Yes? No... okay.

The Killswitch question has been covered [/I']now.
Pointed out for irony. Anyways, I've never really listened to Iced Earth so I wouldn't know about the album at all. But what kind of metal are they?
-
Killswitch is metalcore. If you listen to their newer songs, the only one lcose to metal is the cover of Dio's Holy Diver. I don't know if it's even metal at all, but it sounds like it it. The other songs are metalcore, while I hate metalcore a lot, Killswitch Engage is one of my favorite metalcore bands, and I think they're sort of unique in their gennre. However, they won a music award for best metal performance on MTV, shows just how much Music TV really knows about metal.

Discuss A Fantasy RPG Concept, with a Christian Twist
Aberinkula replied to Aberinkula's topic in Theater
Well, the church is finally realizing that the new generation is changing. Clothes, style, music. And they aknolwedge that. My character is going to be an emo, and his prophet is going to be a smart-ass spirit of an old Prophet silenced long ago. So this parring won't get good reception. Satori, I don't think a switch is in order, I have to hae those things the same so I don't get too off the ball. -

Well, I always use the same elements. Fire, water, earth, wind, ice, light, darkness, steel. Prpohets are more like things form Shaman King. You can fuse them to your weapons and bodies. I actually got this idea from Soul Nomad and the World Eaters where the main character has the soul of a deity in him. I'm thinking of a "god is the sun and jesus is the moon" to give it a more galactic feel instead of just saying god is up there with jesus.
Suggestions for possible elements: - Fire-based [duh] - Water-based [clearly we require opposing elements] - Wind-based [no fart jokes] - Wood-based [don't laugh at this one either]
I just wanted to say lol. And I'm not thinking that. Light is god, and darkness is Satan, it jsut goes that way. -
I've been listening to Vicarious by Tool... a lot. Lately I've been into Mastadon's Bladecatcher, and Colony of Birchmen. Also, I've been lsitening to Amon Amarth. But I've also gotten into a song called Nothing for me Here by Dope, which is an awesome, yet emo, song. If anyone hasn't noticed yet, it's on GHIII. Also, every mornign I feel depressed, so I listen to Coheed and Cambria on the bus cause it gets out my emotions.

Discuss A Fantasy RPG Concept, with a Christian Twist

If anyone's played Final Fantasy X, then you know that every different faith is about a different element. I've decided that there will be Super-Churches where people can pray and obtain new prophets. The prophet you start out with, is your character's Destined Partner, that chose your character at the age of 16. BTW, Stonehenge will play a big role in this world for it's mysteries are a little more solved in Terraprim. And, all religions will undergo different names then the ones now so people won't get offended. -

To answer your question 8bit... you'll just have to wait. But for now, there is one god, God. You can use your mind to figure the rest out. Well, all the religions in our world that don't use magic, use magic in that one. So, say your Wiccan in the RPG, well ebcause of Terraprim's oposition to Earth, Wiccans arten't allowed to use magic. It's vice/versa here. This is also a way of looking at religion in a new wya, not just the way we are used to. But there will be religiions that don't even exist here at alll these religioins might use magic. And your other Q 8bit, yes, these new religions would use different magic. Well, does anyone have anymore ideas they'd like to add? Maybe a religion of your own perhaps, I'm open. Oh, in the new Underground thread, I'm going to put excerts from the Prophetism bible for people to read, instead of swamping them at the sign-ups. -
Open to plot ideas, eh? I was thinking about the return of Kuja or something. It would go like this: Kuja, with a group of vagabond layers and prosocutors, would come back to OB to slap lawsuits against all members during the celebration. However, after a clash of action, Kuja surrendors, and gets arrested by the admins. And maybe a cameo appearance from our old mascot Naps the Cat?

That's a good idea, it wouldn't hurt the RPG at all to cahnge the name, considereing I ahven't started it yet. As for Shyism... no :p But it will take me a while to decide. Thanks 8bit for "breath of fresh air" if I get what you mean. But yes, this is about an RPG, not a religion debate thread, and let's keep it that way. -

Aberinkula replied to Aberinkula's topic in Theater
No, it's not an 'undercover' flame. This isn't just some RPG where you can go, "I liek hate chiristians, they are liek total douche's." BTW, I believe in the god stuff, I'm Christian. I just don't like the church at all, or the bibles which are flawed. Plus, with te priest situation that's been popping up, it's hard to belive the teachings anymore. If this RPG is a problem for some, ignore it. If not and you want to join, be my guest. But don't go into the underground thread amd flame you can flame real Christianity. -

If I may, I'd like to point out to our little Rick, how childish he acted in the days, by using parts of the otakupedia article he's complaining so much about.
By this time Rick Hunter had severed ties with Adam after Adam refused to give him greater control over theOtaku.com. Adam was not pleased with Rick Hunter?s work (he had to heavily edit his reviews and could not even use other) and he did not feel that his contributions would be a big loss for theOtaku.com. Rick Hunter, at this point, became vengeful. Instead of aiming to create a successful anime website, he became obsessed with ?beating? theOtaku.com and its network of successful sites. As a result he demanded that all of his content be removed from theOtaku.com.
So Adam didn't give you a greater part in the site? So you severed ties with him? That's pathetic, I'm sorry but it is. Maybe you should have worked for it and showed respect for OB, however you did not. You can't just ask for greater control, you have to earn it.
Regardless of this falling out with Adam, Rick Hunter held on to his OtakuBoards staff position hoping to destroy the community from the inside. Eventually, Rick Hunter became weird. His obsession with Babygirl had by this time completely ruined their friendship and it was starting to affect others? perceptions of Rick Hunter.
Trying to destroy the site form the inside huh? That's low man, even though you said you've matured, which I don't' See anywhere, you definitely shouldn't be forgave for this imo. Furthermore obsessing over Babygirl isn't weird, it's creepy and not to mention wrong. And this changed the way people thought of you, and now you say that this article is "defamation of character." That still doesn't make up for trying to destroy this site. You defiled your own character by acting in such ways.
He made an announcement on AE Boards thoroughly insulting OtakuBoards and its administration. James saw the announcement and de-modded Rick Hunter because it didn?t make much sense to keep him on staff when he was publicly insulting the ?hand the fed him.? Nevertheless Rick Hunter was allowed to remain an active member. At this point, Rick Hunter had an insatiable thirst to ?beat? Otakuboards.
I have to take back what I said about your site, I said it to sound nice... however, I would never join your site. The forums don't look that good right now. Your just using this thread as a ploy to get people over to your site. And, I would never even trust joining that place, with the thought that someone who acted in such ways, was there.
Despite ?hating? the site, he would still visit OtakuBoards daily, often leaving nasty messages directed at the site and its members. Although James believed in taking the moral high ground, Charles was not so classy; he created a thread in the art forum, in which he encouraged members to use an avatar that featured the ?AE? logo being shot by bullets, which resulted in a stream of blood spelling ?OB.? Many OB members immediately began to use the avatar. Of course, Rick Hunter saw the thread and completely ?lost it,? which lead to him being banned after making several insulting threads/posts. He would come back several times to the forums under new user names and accounts, but he never again received much distinction.
Oh, and you didn't threaten to sue for suing the AE boards logo then? But now we use it once, and it's time to act all tough and mighty? Honestly, you leak childish, no, you embody it. In the end, it would just be best for you to leave with your pride in tact. If you hate this place, leave. If this article bothers you, leave it as well. And if you feel like picking on a young teenager, be my guest. I can stand whatever you can say.

Panache, right now your probably just covering your tracks. Honestly DON'T EVER do anything like you did to insult old culture, especially Norse culture. THey didn't sit their ***** on toilets smoking joints, they did work, they did battle, they did more for themselves then you could I bet. I may not be patriotic, but that would be like me saying ''**** the forefathers of the revoloution, dirty bastards." That would be desecrating the past hardships they faced to make the US. You need to respect history imo. Even if you were joing, obviously we didn't think so at all.
Electric Wizard is STONER metal.
Well, it's a waste to do joints on the toilet, it's called the shitter, not the high-machine.

Actually, by the end Chirstiany won't exist for this poor world. In the RPG, the point is to bring down the church, because deep down all the beliefs have became tainted -
I know for a fact that DigitalBoy was making a break for the girl’s side when Athena caught him and put him in an anvil weighted suitcase before kicking him off a cliff. Poor bastard.
Good thing I wasn't there, otherwise I'd be falling off the cliff with him. :p Rick's luck seems to be running out even more. I don't feel sorry for the guy though, pervert is what he is. >_>
So this is essentially another world in which the term 'Christianity' is applied to a religion with only somewhat similar beliefs to our own but is plagued with magic and technology? And I don't mean plagued in a bad way.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head.
