I'm thinking maybe you've been reading that rule book a little hard...
Hey, at least someone's reading it. I just skimmed over it. I lost again. But as a bonus, I didn't think about it at all since I was last on. Yay for me!
-
I'm sorry, but I have no clue what you're talking about. More info on it would be nice...

White has a point. I lost three times since I last posted here. So: I lost x3. Yay! Yay! and Yay!

I'll tell you what brought this on: My dad comes home from work today only to tell us that our front porch stinks something fierce, and our dogs are all muddy and gross. We go outside and are killed by the stench. :animenose :faint: (Curiosity really did kill the cat!!!) Anyways, so my mom said that the dumb dogs must've been sprayed by a skunk, and we had to put them in kennel. :animedepr So I go upstairs and change into grubbies, and bugger a mask off of my mom. (She ended up ripping an old rag into strips; I used about three of them.) I go outside and snatch a stick, cause if they touch me I stink too, right? So I shoo the dogs into our wooden, homemade kennel, and they lay down and act as if I just screamed at them. My sister proceeds to hook up the hose and we spray them down. They run around frantically as if I'm getting them touched up for a killing, and finally I get the gunk off of them. I'm breathing deeply, trying not to smell the horrid rank in the air, and as I walk by the car I see myself in the window, and I look like some ninja wanna-be, with these rags over my nose and mouth. My mom is all ticked off cause the dogs rubbed up against the house, the chairs, the wooden posts, everything. :angry2: So she went to town to get some stuff for it. I won't let any of the cats out the front door, and I haven't been outside in hours. So. I was just wondering if you guys have had any experiences with skunks you'd like to share. Did you enjoy it as much as I did?

Anime Which Anime has your favorite artistic style?
musical_kitten replied to a topic in Otaku Central
I like how Clamp draws the Tsubasa anime. Its so simple, and I'd love to draw like that. Maybe its cause I suck at drawing details, I dunno. Oh, well. I'd like to draw nicely, though, like in Fruits Basket.... -
K sorry this is just the prologue I probably won't write anymore until I get my other story done, and even then I may not get to it. I have a long waiting list. Til then do enjoy, and comments are so welcome!!! ~*~ The thing loomed above her. She thought it had distinctive features, but this was just a fuzzy black blob with the exact same outline she remembered. She tried to scream as a bolt of lightning shot from the storm the enemy had created and aimed for her, but no sound came. Instead she gasped loudly as the bolt hit the ground right next to her; she could feel the heat radiating from it and the world spun for a moment. She regained her balance to find the huge shadow turning on her. It held up an arm-like section of its body, and it formed into a huge, uncurving claw, poising it above her. The claw plunged downward, and she tried to scream again, finding she couldn't move. Suddenly she was shoved away, and she heard the claw bite into something. Looking over her shoulder she saw the something was actually someone - someone she didn't recognise, but thought she knew him somehow. Clutching a badly bleeding arm the other person mouthed words to her, but no sound came from anywhere. I can't hear you! I don't understand! she screamed mentally at him. He winced in pain and barely managed to dodge the claw. He plowed into her, losing his balance, and she fell backwards. Go! he mouthed silently, and pointed behind her. She felt the sticky sensation of his blood on her arm and across her shirt, but she didn't care. No! she tried to scream at him. The claw came crashing down behind him; he twisted and managed to fall behind a large rock. The force of the claw's impact threw her against another rock;she felt a sharp pain up her arm, and she cried out silently. The rain from the storm mingled with her tears of pain and sorrow as she crawled through a break in the bushes. The storm raged aboce as she looked back; the claw had smashed her rescuer's boulder to pieces and was ready to strike another blow. A wave of tears broke loose and she turned away before she could watch the claw kill the one who'd rescued her. She climbed the stones - a small, two-foot ledge - and found herself on an unknown sidewalk made of hard grey stone. Still shaking with terror at the claw she could still see in her mind's eye and her new, unknown surroundings, she jumped in fright and ran into a darker, wider sidewalk. A pair of twin lights flashed, and something slammed into her. A white hot flash of pain crossed her vision for a split second before the world went black and- She screamed. She screamed long and hard. The door to the room flew open and a blond-haired woman in white clothes flew in. Another, dark-haired woman came rushing in seconds after the first. "She's up!" one of the women called. "She's awake!" "Call Mr. and Mrs. Fielding. They'll want to know." Voices filled the room, but she heard none of them. She kept on sobbing and flailing until one of the women laid a firm hand on her shoulder. "Calm down," she ordered. "You'll only make it worse." "Be nice, she's been through alot," one of the others retorted. "We have no clue what she's been through," the grouchy woman replied. "Well, what do you expect? She's been in a coma for weeks," came another softer, voice. She just laid there, sobbing. ~*~ So what do you think? Critique is good. Thank you so much for reading it.

I call it pop, but have to watch it cause other people don't call it that, so they get confused. Or my dad asks if I want one in the mouth. I personally like orange soda - I was on an orange soda run before school ended, and still like to drink it. But I also like root beer, and sometimes, if there's nothing else, I'll drink sprite or grape soda, or even lemon-lime, just cause its a cheaper brand of sprite. But I normally don't like pepsi products or coca-cola stuff either. My dad does, though... So.... does anyone have any soda?

I'm sorry, but I personally hate beef jerky. It tastes horrid to me. But I'm glad you like it. Alot of my friends do. But I'm just picky. Hope I helped. :)

This is one of those opinion threads, so mine is probably going to be ignored, but the problem with questions like these is that people think if they don't hear it, then it doesn't make a sound. They personally have to experience it for them to say it does. But if a tree falls in the forest, and you personally aren't there to hear it fall, then it should still make a sound, whether you're there to hear it or not. I'm going to assume that if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, it does make a sound because technically someone or something has to hear it because there are all sorts of animals and birds around to hear it, right? It is physically impossible for nothing to be around in a forest. So yes, it does make a sound. Right?

Actually, I lost again today while playing solitaire - by hand. (I prefer it on the computer.) I don't even know what brought it on. And White, dont worry, I probably didn't figure it out. And that's fine by me. :) So:
I lost x2. Yay and Yay!
-
If you lose you win.
Wait a second.... I think I've figured it out, though I bet someone else already has. If you lose you win. Sooo... If the point of this thread is not to lose, yet there is no way to win, then when you lose you must be winning because that is the whole point, to lose. Right? Anyways, we were going home Wednesday after our activity, and some random thought made me think of game, so I finally lost while not on OB. Yay! So: I lost x2. Yay and Yay!

Anime Recommended Anime of the Week ^-^
musical_kitten replied to MrsKakashi's topic in Otaku Central
If you like Cardcaptor Sakura, you'll love Tsubasa Chronicle. (but I can't think of any fans of CLAMPS's work who hasn't heard of this anime) xxxHOLiC is also quite good too.
I skimmed through and found that TRC had only been recommended ONCE. How sad! But maybe that's just me. I personally enjoy watching that series, even though I've only seen maybe thirteen episodes. I'm reading the manga too, and love it as well. For those of you who have read CCS, it has the same character, Syaoran and Sakura, along with Yukito and Sakura's older brother. They live in the kingdom of Clow, with Sakura being princess, and her brother King. Syaoran was adopted by Fujitaka, so its sort of the same people but not as I was used to them (I read CCS first). TRC is, like, the king of crossovers, with people from their other series appearing in some way shape or form throughout the series. Oh! The story line is about Sakura losing her memories, and Syaoran goes looking for them with her, along with Fai D. Flowright and Kurogane, who are all from different worlds. Fai doesn't want to return to his world, and Kurogane wants to return to his. So the time-space witch Yuko sends them on for a very high price. The series is so kawaii, and I recommend it greatly. It has humor and action, and is a very fun read. xxxHolic is the series that goes along with it, but you don't have to read (or watch) it while reading TRC. But its a good read too. Or watch. CCS is good too, and Fruits Basket, if you want some humor. Its about this girl named Tohru Honda who meets the Sohma family, who is cursed by the Chinese Zodiac. The books pretty much tell about her adventures with this unusual family. So there you have it. I'm not usually a lengthy person - whew! :animesigh -
Mafia Blk, I don't think there is a way to win..... You can win for a while, but in the end you will lose... Unless you manage to contract Alzheimers, and forget about the game entirely. Then I'm sure you would win, except that you wouldn't know it. Was that complex enough for ya? It was for me and I'm the one that thought of it. Oh well. Oh, and did I mention? I lost. Yay!
-
Bláse, I think you can decide winners now. Its been weeks... and I think the general public is ready for a new pic. Please? Or could someone do it?
-
I'm totally telling my friends about the game now.
I personally am afraid to tell my friends cause they love pointless games like this. Take the umbrella game for example. What does your mom, my shoe, and a highlighter all have in common? Anyways, now whenever I remember the umbrella game I think of the Game. So: I lost again! Yay! :p
I hate you Sara. You made me lose again, just when I was doing so well.
Would you believe that I was up at two in the morning and didn't get home until eight PM and never once did I think of the Game? It amazes me. You'll think about it when you least expect it, or you won't think about it at all. Oh, but this time I snuck onto OB cause I remembered it and wanted to post again. I like posting here. Cause guess what? I can admit I'm a loser! Yay! So: I lost! (Again!)
-
Hey guys! I'm back again. And guess what? I lost! Yay!

I read all four books and thought they were pretty good. It has a nice plot even though it is confusing at times. I had to reread some parts to get the entire idea. But I would recommend them to anyone looking for something to read. The art is pretty, and is almost ingenious. I haven't seen any of the anime though, but I bet its just as good.

As usual, I never lose until I go to the lounge. XP this is fun. I like this game. Its fun to post over and over again, and its also fun to see what stages of denial people are in. In a sense you can see each others personalities. Oh, and did I mention? I lost. :)

If they don't give you a checklist, they aren't the brightest bulbs in the box, now are they? Sorry. Now, I would definitely bring extra clothes (but not a whole lot) because if your camp is anything like mine, then you will get wet. Without changing into a swimming suit. And it also depends on where you're going to be. The motto "Prepare for the worst" is always good to go by. Don't rely on the fact that you should be staying in a cabin - make it seem like you're gonna sleep in a tent. Everyone else who's replied has stated the main stuff, but I would recommend a rain poncho. Alot of times it'll rain, and pretty much no one thought about that, even though it was on the checklist. Those poor people (suckers) ended up wearing a garbage bag or going wet. Deodorant is good, as is sunscreen and bug spray. Cards are good too, and any possible extras you can bring - I tend to get bored easily, so I brought all my writing and drawing stuff with me, if I had room. But that may not apply to you. So I hope I helped. :) Have fun at camp!
Considering making photocopies of the rules, and leaving them in public places whenever I lose. Losses must[/i'] be recorded.
That's a good idea, actually. I made it all the way from the last time I posted on OB!! Yay! Somehow I finish posting here and promptly forget all about it. But that makes it easier, although I still lose all the time. SO: I lost! And so did you cause you're reading my post!

My bedroom was half of a couch for months, then became a cot in a tent. Soon, I had to share one of two bunk beds with my cousin (the other was for my brothers) and now, finally, I have my very own room. Unfortunately, I was in our school's musical when i got it, so my siblings were in it more than I was. My room has white walls and dark blue carpet, although I had wanted green. (Don't get dark blue carpet, it shows every bit of gunk you put on it.) I have a blue chair to match, blue nightstand and secretary, and white set of shelves. My nightstand holds all my notebooks and stuff. My secretary holds whatever my nightstand and my shelves won't hold. I have no curtains yet, though I want them to be green. And that's all. :P

I never thought of this, and I play four instruments. I'm not entirely a band geek. I (while in my own special world) consider myself a "cross-breed" if you will, because I'm in band and orchestra, and end up spending my time half and half. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very musically talented. But, in band, I play the trumpet - and am very good at it, if I may say so myself. Unfortunately, while trying to keep first chair, not fail orch, and play in the school's musical, I found myself incredibly bored playing second part while in third chair. So everyone figures I'm going to get into symphonic band (the higher band of the two upper classmen bands) on trumpet. Now, just for kicks and because I was bored (and apparently I wasn't doing enough already) I decided to learn the oboe. Oh, what a joy. Going from brass to double reed, even. So now I'm wanted in concert band on that. AND I still have to go to orchestra. And my band teacher wants me in marching band. To me, a wonderfully accident-prone person, marching band is like a giant game of dominoes. And the other band teacher wants me in jazz band too. What the heck is going on? I get the vaguest of feelings I'm going to be fought over when school starts again.... *sniffle* So, yes, I'm a band geek. And dang proud of it. But I don't have my own band, and I plan to keep it that way. And, for those who must know, I play the bass (that's right, the huge monstrosity) in orchestra, and I also play the piano.

Hey guys! I just lost again! I think my record is like two days, but then out of nowhere I remembered it and was like, Dang, I lost again. I don't even remember what I was doing. And then I promptly forgot about it and didn't remember until now when I saw the thread (again) so.. I lost! and: I lost! This is fun. XP And did I mention I lost? And that I like losing?
