Ok, I hope this is legal... I am an ecstatic poster in the Otaku Lounge and I've noticed that alot of people (myself included) enjoy the fun little games where you usually end up posting next to nothing at all, or talk about incredibly random things. I've always wondered why these threads get closed because, though they are spam, they are also very fun. So, here's my resolution: Why isn't there a Spam Lounge or something made just for these spammy little games? After all they are very fun, and alot of people like them. Input? Output? Yes? No? Or am I just plain Dumb?

I am going to pretend to be my friend "Bob" for a while cause this is her kind of question. If that's ok. (Just so ya know, I would choose neither.) "Bob" would choose false diplomasy while you killed your enimies with assassins so no one else knew about it because she likes that sort of thing. Would you choose to have an awesome career and an awesome family and an overall awesome life Or... Would you choose to give it all to charity, leaving just enough for you to live off of? (That's a hard question, even for myself)

Crushes and relationships [PG-13]
musical_kitten replied to Dragonboym2's topic in General Discussion
I have issues at school cause the secretaries at my dad's work are always telling me how cute I am (at age 15, even) so I've got guys everywhere who like me. But I do like one of them back because one time at school I got a little overly-stressed, so I ended up cryin in the hallway. Alot of my friends looped by and gave me a little reassurance, but they left soon afterwards. Well, along comes this guy who I happen to see every day and he stayed there with me the whole time. Not joking. Soon like everyone was gone, and its just me and him in the hallway and he walked me back to my class a little ways. (Two hours earlier I'd had a really bad reality check and I didn't say a thing until the incident in the hallway.) He is soooo nice.... I hope everyone can find someone like that someday..... -
You Just Won "Insert Expensive Item Here"!
musical_kitten replied to Dhampir's topic in General Discussion
I personally enjoy the weird stuff you have to do to get the "insert expensive item here". Like, shoot five ducks and win "I.E.I.H." or tickle the fat dude! But then you usually have to fill out a form, so I just mess around with it and am done with it. I never believe those things, and I'm actually quite a gullible person. -
Those kind of authority problems rise from nowhere else than lazy upbringing. It's apparent that those kids have always gotten their way in everything, and it's their parents' blame.
I personally hate it when parents spoil their kids, then decide they've had enough of their tantruming and send them off to preschool/daycare/daycamps. It bugs the crap out of me. If your going to spoil your kid, do it and take care of it yourself.
Rewards and treats should be given only when deserved, not to make tantrums stop or to get the kid to shut up.
And see, people don't understand that. They just get a headache, and so they give their kids whatever just to make them shut up. Then the kid knows that all they have to do is throw a tantrum to get whatever they want. Hence the how-to-recognize-a-spoiled-kid thing. So, in conclusion: Do not spoil your kids and send them to wherever just to let others handle it. Its your kid. Love it like its your kid. Else the relationship will just be rocky when you do decide you want to step in. And besides, when you let your kids bring toys from home, its just another thing to step on. :animeangr
More seriously, kid you need to grow up. Elves do not exist in any shape or form, they're simply for storytelling purposes, and if you can't accept that, well you need to talk to a professional and quick.
I don't know, I thought that Prick Wizard was just being funny. But then again I tend to take things like that the wrong way.... You know from anonymous sources I have heard that the boogeyman lives in Wyoming... And for a while there I believed it, until I came to my senses. (As in, until the sugar wore off... wee....) And Gavin, if you think that elves are only for storytelling purposes, then I have reason to believe you have no imagination. But maybe you do - my imagination just overpowers my logical thinking often, soooo... :animeshy:

Um... not recently. I had pizza instead. :catgirl: TPBM uses abbreviations a lot.
This encompasses many different things, such as: -Are you male or female? -Where do ya hail from, stranger? -How old are you? -Do you have siblings?
-I am a female (if that wasn't obvious enough) -I currently live outside of Hermosa, SD -I am fifteen -I am the oldest of five kids, and somewhere near the top of the food chain out of currently 32 Grandchildren on my dad's side of the family. (Aw, heck, I believe I am the second-oldest out of them all.) I play four instruments, which would make me an "orch-dork", to quote all my orchestra friends, and a "band geek", again quoting my fellow dork friends. I call myself a "half-breed" because I'm incredibly insane to be playing four instruments. (And just for the record, I can't really sing.) I write stories for the heck of it (and because people say I'm good) and I do draw anime pics. My family currently has fourteen pets, although our record is 21. I'm in love with cats (As if that wasn't obvious as well) and I love posting on theOtaku, but I am computer stupid. (HTML? Yeah, right. You may as well just ask me to blow up your computer. But I do know some tricks of the trade...) Sooooo... Yep. That's me! :catgirl:

Since Gavin managed to do Oblivion's extremely long acronym, I shall try not to be quite as random as I usually am.
GAVINRULES
Let's see....
Nope, I have absolutely no idea what that even is. The person below me has played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
I'm assuming its a video game that I've never heard of, so no. I don't play video games. But whatever. Let's move on. TPBM is having hundred degree weather wherever they are. (Up here where I live we are... :animestun)

I must mention Chobits because Clamp has a way with pairing people up! They do it so well. Manager and Yumi were so kawaii because she cared so much for him, though at first I must admit that I thought Yumi was in love with Hideki. Chi and Hideki were also cute, but I must admit I sort of saw that one coming, so in a sense I spoiled it for me. :animedepr Oh well.

I must admit I haven't actually cried at any anime-related thing, but I've come close, so I hope that it counts. It takes alot for me to cry over books.
For me, it was Chobits, even though it had a happy ending. No, it's more like because it had a happy ending. It was so cute how all the couples worked out their differences. Just the part when Hideki admits
how much he felt for Chi, even though she was neither alive nor a Chobit... it was really ironic because Hideki was the one insisting all along how persocoms weren't the same as people, and yet he fell in love with one.[/spoiler'] The story of Freya and Elda was pretty heart-wrenching, as was the story of Minoru and his sister. That series really makes a person think. Hard.
I also have to agree. Not only was Chi incredibly cute, which added to the effect, but the fact that she seemed to know nothing and yet she knew everything was just sweet. The story of Minoru and his sister was also very sweet. I also must mention Fruits Basket, where Tohru finds out about Kyo's true form. (Beware: this next part may or may not be a spoiler.) It was sweet how she kept on going back for him and begging him to come home. That was so kind of her, even though Kyo wasn't exactly at his best in that situation. Then again, it may just be my weirded out mind... but I loved that part and read it over and over again.
TPBM enjoys amusement parks.[/COLOR']
Um.... gee, I'm kinda dumb and don't know if I've ever been to one (to me there's no difference, unless you count a fair with rides an amusement park) so I... we'll go with maybe. TPBM saves theOtaku Boards for last when they get on the computer.

How'd you become an Otaku member?
musical_kitten replied to PaganAngel's topic in General Discussion
I was looking under google for anime pics and came across the fanart section of theOtaku and I clicked the link for OtakuBoards and fell in love. I guess you could say I'm addicted! It's been a loooooooong time since I've found a place like this that actually didn't shun me just cause I'm a little loopy. I have fun here. :babble: -
Yeah, I have fun with my sibs too. The other day I was in my brother's room with her and we were supposed to be cleaning it but we ended up laughing and joking around about some stuffed squirrel my brother has. It was sooooo funny! I would miss my sibs if they left but sometimes its good to have a break from them.

All right for the record I must mention that cute (unofficial) couple from Clamp School Detectives. Since I read that book eons ago I don't remember names, so its the blue-haired guy and his adorable little friend. They were absolutely kawaii. And if I did have to say anything about Fruits Basket, I would say it is a toss-up between Tohru and Kyo or Tohru and Yuki. I think its so cute the way Tohru has a weird effect on those two and how they both care for her.
Quite often they are so obscure that only a practicing member of the religion would find it amusing. (For example, there are actually books published with titles like "you might be Lutheran if..." They're written by Lutherans, sold by Lutherans, and bought and read by yet more Lutherans, all in the spirit of capitalism and good fun.)
Oh, yeah, there are books like that toward Mormons too. But books like that are usually bought by people with that religion. My aunt and uncle have a book like that for Mormons, and from what I've heard from my cousin its very funny. But one who wasn't a Mormon probably wouldn't understand the jokes in it - In fact, one who wasn't a Mormon probably wouldn't even be thinking about reading a book like that. I know I haven't even thought of reading a "You might be Lutheran if..." books. So, "to each his own."
its tough being the oldest.
You've said it Mythology. It is tough. The other day I was trying to talk to my sister and we constantly end up fighting so I try not to fight back when she leans in my face and is all like "And I'm not listening cause you keep putting yourself down!" or something like that and turns around and walks away. Then to top it all off she goes and tells my mom so my mom comes and puts me back in this long talk about how I'm not perfect and someone will always be better than you and all this junk and I'm just like Quiet? Please? I wanna leave... So it is very hard to be the oldest. You never can get your two cents in.
