I wouldn't say that I'm part of the OB family... Much rather that I'm part of the community, simply because I haven't really befriended many people on this site. I guess you could say I'm one of these newer members (I'm coming up on 2 years in a few months) and I don't think I've befriended that many people. I really liked chatting to Vicky when I first joined because she provided amazing RPs for me to get acquainted with the site. Somehow, though, we just stopped chatting all together, but she's still my OB idol. Then I ventured into the lounge and made a lot more connections that the Theatre couldn't provide. That's also where I met Trigun 11, my OB wife. On all of OB, she's the closest, but she rarely visits OB anymore :animecry: I've come to know a few other members including Allamorph and DB, Mostly because of the Panopticon, and then Aaryanna and Anomaly because of the OB Survivor. Us three really had to bond and work together after we lost the first two matches consecutively. (Not to mention that we were the three youngest competitors, I believe.) I think that my time with the Mercs was the most fun I've had here. So I would definitely miss any of those guys if they just disappeared, even if we don't really speak all that much on OB, it's all about the memories. By the way, do you think it would be easier for me to be accepted in the family if I actually [I]used[/I] AIM???

I agree with Aceburner. Nicely done! I've posted my sign-up with Judith Liano, and left it entirely open to how you want to do it. I will say that for now, she'll just have to seem like the ignorant damsel in distress, but she's anything but that. Just try to avoid making her sound like a weak girl. And it's not like you have to actually find the Burgermon right here. Feel free to find other digimon or something of that nature.

We just need to stay quiet until he leaves."[/B] But it was too late, the flying digimon had already locked its gaze on Judith. [B]"Spicy Onion!" "Delicious Patty!"[/B] The Burgermon screamed as the attacked their winged combatant, but it was too fast and dodged. I came in close, knocking Mama Burgermon to the side, and landed right over Jude's body. It examined her as if it had never seen a digimon quite like here before. Whatever Flymon was looking for, he found it, because he suddenly grabbed Judith with its giant talons and carried the screaming girl away, over the edge of the forest and out of sight. [B]"Are you okay Mama?"[/B] Papa Burgermon asked. [B]"I'm fine, but how are we going to save Judith?"[/B] The female said as she rose to her feet. [B]"We need to find the other destined children. It's actually funny because, ever since I was in elementary, I've wished for a tornado to blow down the school... (at night, of course) And I was actually hopeful last week because I heard that there were funnels right over it, but it didn't touch down until after it was out of the city... Darn It seems like the weather is getting worse every year. It stays colder longer and the heat gets more unbearable each year... We had that really bad ice storm about 7 or 8 years ago, but ever since then, we didn't even have snow that stuck to the ground, until this year when we got up to 5 inches on three separate occasions. (The strangest part about it is that it was actually warm in between each snow. Warm enough to wear shorts and a T-Shirt) I hate tornado alley... (P.S. I was just joking about my dislike for Arkansas in that PM you sent me. :p)

Well, my only question now is how we'll deal with the continuity??? I mean, if the digidestined I create is paired up with Lopmon, how would we explain away Rem using Lopmon? Would we just have to go back through and edit the whole thing or are we planning to start it over from the beginning? And as for the crest: I'm thinking Temperance or Tolerance... They're pretty similar so I don't know. And I'll probably create a girl just to balance things out.

Well, like most, I go to bed around 11 or midnight during the school day. (Unfortunately, that's not my choice... I'm one of the few people I know who still has a bed-time... And I'm a senior in high school. :animedepr) Anyway, if I had the choice, I would be nocturnal... I really wish I could find a high-paying job where I don't have to deal with a lot of people and only have to work at night... But of course, this wouldn't be for at least another four years until I get out of college. However, I have my new secret called a laptop and I get a wifi connection all the way in my room... So on nights when I'm feeling particularly restless, (school night or not) I'll stay up all night or at least until 5 am... And since my parents leave for work at around 8, I can usually miss the first couple hours of school and it's fine. Everyone expects it with me. You could say I'm a modern day Ferris Bueller. (But not as cool. :animedepr) Anyway, it should come as not surprise that my grades as a straight A student are steadily dropping and I have to take a bunch of semester tests now (when I'm usually exempt) But, I guess it's a case of senioritis...

My grandpa served in the military and my brother is currently a marine on base at Camp LeJeune. (Not sure if that was spelled right) He's one of those people who are happy to serve. He hates being cooped up, not being able to do something. He would rather risk his life over in Afghanistan (which almost just happened) than to be here. For people like that, I take Rach's stance and say, "More power to you." However, for people who only go to pay for college or, back in the days of drafting, didn't have a choice, I really feel sorry for them. I know a lot of people who couldn't pay for college and were forced to enlist. People who's parents refused to help... (What can I say, a lot of families are bums around here) Anyway, the perks are great, should you decide to take the risk. As for me, I can't stand the thought of being tied down. A mandatory four years??? AHHH, I would lose my mind. I even know that I would go into journalism. However, that requires a lot of front-line action, and I don't think I could handle it. Personally, I think it takes a really strong person to enlist, and I definitely look up to someone who can serve our country like that...

Gavin! The last stanza was AMAZING! It was all very good and I really liked it. The only thing that frustrated me, (which really doesn't matter. Just one of my pet peeves) is your rhyme scheme changed in every stanza. It went from ABBA, to ABAB, and then AABB... Allamorph, you are truly a poet at your very core. I love it that this round had to geniuses put in it... Hardest decision yet, and while I absolutely loved both poems (especially Gavin's 3rd stanza!!!) I happened to favor [B]Allamorph[/B]'s poem more

I guess I'll break the mold here and vote for [B]Aberinkula[/B]. You said you were inspired and I could see that. The references and personification was great. The first stanza was a bit rough, but it got way better. And I know what it's like to have too much info to cram into a little space, and I think you pulled it off fine. Aaryanna's was just as good, don't get me wrong, but I was just really caught up in Aberinkula's that I had to go back and re-read yours to make sure I remembered it correctly.

I'm too tired at this point to critique the poems. I liked them both. They flowed very well. They were on topic both in two different ways. I vote [B]Raiha[/B]

Well. 8Bit's poem flows better... I can't help but love that... But I simply like the content of Treble's, although, I may not be reading into it enough... (I don't suppose I could give .5 to each, could I?) Ultimately, I have to vote [B]Treble[/B] just because his poem seemed to connect to the topic more... And that was the only deciding factor.

Okay... Well, I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. I like them both and there really wasn't anything wrong with either poem. Obviously, I can't gauge who's was truly better, just because it's all opinion.... Such a hard decision, but [B]SunfallE[/B] gets my vote

Maybe, on a Mexican cruise, I should ride To entertain my friends with hysterical riffs. But, to me, what would be the most fun of all Would be visiting Europe for a month or two. Oh man, I don't remember the Salt Lake City Tornado, but apparently 1999 was not a good year for big cities, with Utah first, and then OK city a month later. I remember I had family in OKC for that one. If I'm not mistaken, it was the strongest winds ever recorded. (318 mph) But yeah, I know what you mean. I hate having to deal with tornado season every year. It always scares the crap out of me. Last night, the tennis ball sized hail hit so suddenly, it sounded like a bunch of firecrackers going off on our roof all at once. It was so loud, I couldn't here my mom screaming in my ear. I can't wait to move out of here... But then I'll have to decide whether I would prefer lotsa tornadoes, really bad earthquakes, or terrifying hurricanes... I'm not sure which is worse.

So last night was the worst storm I've ever been in. I thought I had it bad once when I was on the road with a tornado, but this storm last night scared the crap out of me. Anyway, if you didn't hear about it, there was a large storm traveling from Texas to Illinois last night. Several tornados touched down, ripping houses apart. (Doing their usual tornado thing) Anyway, death toll was low, so that's a great thing. Still, it is creepy the way this storm attacked. I live right on the border to Arkansas and have to cross the Arkansas river anytime I want to go into the city, and apparently half the city is flooded. Buildings are blown apart, windows shattered, damaged cars, etc. In my town alone, we had two funnels and a very brief tornado just outside city limits. Luckily, it only touched down for a few seconds over some farmland. So, what's you scariest storm? Hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes... I know there are OB members all across the US, (and some are even in different countries) so this isn't just limited to Tornadoes.

I already PMed 8Bit asking if I needed to wait for my decision for the digidestined partner, since I posted last, but if there's a problem or a conflict, I can always change my decision. I will choose Rem (8Bit's character) as Lopmon's partner.

I haven't commented since it's start, but I just thought I'd say real quick like, that I love the story so far. It's very entertaining, and your fight scenes are more coherent than the first time around which makes me very happy
