1. AHHHHH!!!!!!! Arryanna_Mom at the beginning?!?!? Are you insane? A better question: Am I insane for attempting to compete against her? Hmmm, okay, just one question: Is this elimination? If so, single, double???
2.
That's a pretty lame attempt at flirting, there, Darren.I lol'd. Kiddin', I'm kiddin'. But yeah, here's some recent photos of myself, since its been a long ol' time since I last posted some.
I'm sorry, oh Zen master, I don't possess the ability to impress girls by not wearing a shirt! :p Seriously though, I think I've seen 1 picture of you fully clothed... I think I've seen your chest more than my own. (and that's no lie. I don't look at myself in the mirror) I think it could be harmful to my health...
3.
It's kinda small. But it's true. The world needs more love. Don't hate the huge camera. XD
I agree totally. And I don't hate the camera! You know what they say: "The bigger, the better!" =]
4. S'okay. I'll stay patient as long as I still get to be the team strategist. =)
5.
I found a pretty good website with some ideas for pranks here. Click Here.
Oh my god... I can't believe I fell for that... I hate you. And with these strange... errr... Dancing girls all over OB, I'm going to make sure NOT to visit here on the holiday ever again! (I'm used to it being prank free because it's my dad's B-Day. So I went all day without one prank... And then I get it in the form of online web traps. I suck at life.
6. The room was dark. A small reddish-purple glow illuminated the stage up front where some mediocre band strummed mediocre tunes in the Pink Eye which happened to be my bar of choice on most nights of the week. Smoke filled the air, filling my lungs with heavenly chemicals. I was actually beginning to enjoy myself, (whether it was from the alcohol or genuine enjoyment, was beyond me) when she walked in. It wasn't uncommon to see Kailen in the Pink Eye. After all, she was the one who had introduced me to the club. But it was rare to see her around OtakuCity after her hiatus. "Didn't know you were back in town," I said "Just passing through, Darren, nothing permanent." She slid into the seat across from me and removed the ponytail from her hair. "I see you know me better than I thought." "I know your hide-outs. We are married, after all. But that's not what I'm here to talk about." She said, removing her sunglasses. The fact that we were married meant nothing. I suppose our current status could be classified as 'separated.' 1 "It never is." I said, taking another long drag from my cigarette, "Is this business?" "Personal." She said bluntly. "I need to know everything you know on The Boss." The question was shocking. Kailen asking me for help about one of her friends. With all the interaction Mike and I had, I would hardly even call us acquaintances. He came to me when he needed info. The kind that no one but me could give, but considering Mike's profession, it hardly meant more than a meeting once a year. "You know him better than I do." "Obviously not enough to know what he did in his spare time."2 "The Boss' personal life is his own. I didn't know him better than someone I met on the street." "You're a hacker, Darren. You can find out about him, easy. Just like you hep him out when he needs it." You said it's personal, but I only hear business talk. How much money you have?" "Are you seriously going to make me pay? Your own wife?" I could hear he anger in her voice. Kailen was one of the first people I bonded with in Otaku City. "Man's gotta eat. I'm broke and unless I owe you a debt or you pay, I won't access that information." "You sound like a fucking robot. I'm broke too, that's why I'm only in town for a little bit. Can't you just do me a favor?" I knew she'd pull that card. Her hand drifted to mine, revealing her wedding wing that she still obviously wore, and she looked deep into my eyes. As I pulled away, she took the cigarette from between my fingers and took a small puff before putting it out in the ashtray. "You can't tell me anything?" "Sorry." She looked hurt. Like she was on the verge of crying. "Why do you protect him so much." "Because he's the reason I'm alive."3 She stood and headed towards the door. "Thanks for all your help, Pulse." 4 She'd never called me by that name. I wondered if that was the end of our broken marriage. "Sorry I bothered you. I'll call you for some real information when I have the cash." And then she left me to my drink and the mediocre band playing up front. ~~~~~~~~~~ 1) Kailen (Trigun 11) and Darren are married. But after experiencing public humiliation in court due to Kailen's obsession with Sephiroth, (The character, not the user) the couple decided that it was best to take a little break. She left Otaku City, returning every once in a while to check up on things. 2) The Boss (now known as Zen) is a very close friend of Kailen's. However, when she recently discovered his profession as a contract killer, she was terribly hurt. In fact, it was this knowledge that helped her decision of leaving Otaku City. 3) Zen saved Darren a long time ago when a DB's card game, went terribly wrong. HellsMinion6676, who was new to the area, believed Darren to have hacked the game, giving him an unfair advantage. Hells lost everything in that game, and blamed Darren without any proof. He almost threw him off a building before Zen jumped in and helped. Because of that, Darren takes care of any favors that Mike has. 4) Pulse is the name that most of Darren's clients know him as. Between two lovers, it is probably not a term of endearment.
7. So... When's it going to start?
8.
Darren, you look quite scary and angry in your picture, haha. Maybe it's just the blueness though. Who did you kill? =p
O_O Who told you??? Shhh, it was just this one person. No harm done though; no one will miss him, you understand right?
9. Neat. I'm stoked about this entire RP. I've wanted a Naruto RPG for quite some time, and this concept is certainly amazing. I can't wait!
10. Yay, I'm an alien! (Playing with some effects on my new macbook camera) "I'm blue da ba dee da ba die"
11. After returning from my hiatus, I'm pleased to find an RP that I can get into. I love both Zoids and Naruto. And I'm assuming that the type of jutsu a character uses is not just limited to what is typed in their description? I'm asking if they can't be moderately knowledgeable in other areas. After all, if they can only use jutsu to speed up their own body, but they have no taijutsu for hand-to-hand, then what's the point of just running around? If my guess is wrong, then I'll change my sign-up later, but for now: Shimizu Sayuri "Little Lily," as her mother had ingeniously named her. She had no idea just how ironic her daughter's name would be. The fact that she even wanted to join a shinobi academy was shocking for her family, but Shimizu turned into somewhat-popular name in the SBC as Sayuri proved herself time and time again. Newcomers to the SBC were referred to as fresh blood, a term which Sayuri found offensive. (Considering the only blood she intended to see was her opponent's) She had spent little time trying to get noticed as she worked her way through the rankings. It wasn't long before the talented girl was locally sponsored from a small business operating out of her home town. It wasn't the glamor of the S Division, but it certainly came with perks that her farming family came by rarely. With a bad crop season the past few years, it was Sayuri's intent to earn money for them by joining the SBC... She was well on her way to doing just that. She and her family hoped that today would be a rather large stepping stone in her process of getting to the top. "You ready, Shimizu?" Her manager had walked into Sayuri's training room, sporting his usual attire. Today was a big day for her. It was a day she had been training for. She was to compete against Sumiko Toru. Sure he was only ranked 50th, but in such a large division, it was a rather big step for Sayuri. She was, in fact, ranked 72nd. The match wouldn't have even occurred if it hadn't been for Sayuri's manager pressing it with the SBC. Plus, the battle was rumored to bring in quite a crowd considering a rivalry had developed when Sumiko began bad-mouthing Shimizu's process through the SBC ever since she first entered. And, of course, the rumors were right. Even though her division was less publicized as the larger ones, it still received moderate advertisements. Some even called it the battle of the year. (Obviously a hyperbole, but people have a right to their opinion) Sayuri was laying down on a worn bench in the corner room. She finished running laps about an hour earlier and thought to take a breather; give herself a chance to think about her strategy and her opponent's abilities. He was a master of genjutsu, something that could easily combat her stylistic fighting choices. So she had to rethink her strategy and learn some new tricks. She was confident, but as she brushed her golden locks out of her hair and stood to enter the arena, she couldn't help but have a few butterflies in her stomach. She walked into the sunlight of a small courtyard, just outside the battle arena, where her family waited to hug and greet her. "Good luck," her younger brother said. "You do fine, Sayuri." Her father said with a reassuring pat on her back. Her mother just hugged her and watch as the Shamizu manager led her towards the entrance, his glasses powerfully reflecting the sunlight. "Be honest with me," Sayuri said, stopping him at the entrance to the arena. "What are my chances with this guy?" He lowered his glasses, so she could seriously see his serious eyes, then cleared his throat as he always did before speaking about a serious matter. "It could go one of two ways. He'll be a merciless monster and wipe the floor with you or you'll take him out quick and easy. It's always hard with these types of battles. With such oddly ranked competitors, it's hard to compare skill until they're in the same ring." The comment frightened Sayuri, but she knew that the fight had only been arranged because of her. It was far too late change her mind. The doors opened and she was greeted by ravenous rock terrain, roaring cheers and applause, and of course the ever-present Shuzuki film crew, Sayuri was delighted and terrified to be fighting in front of her largest crowd yet. She was looking all around the arena, searching for places of advantage or protection and as her opponent entered, she could see that he was doing the same. Sumiko was a big guy, obviously not very fast, but that didn't matter when he used his genjutsu; something that Sayuri hoped to combat this afternoon. The referee went through all the formalities; they competitors shook hands and then almost as casual as ordering a drink in a bar, the two opponents suddenly engaged in battle. Just as suspected, Sumiko immediately called on his arsenal of genjutsu techniques and Sayuri was immediately calling on her shunjutsu to avoid the attack. It appeared too easy at first. It seemed that Sumiko was playing with her; letting her run around as much as she wanted. Her energy was still at top notch, but she decided to hide behind a small boulder on the far side of the arena, to analyze her opponent. Perhaps she would get a better understanding of his strategy while standing still. She peaked from behind the rock to be struck by a searing pain in her stomach. Her eyes widened with shock as Sumiko's blast took effect. It seemed that his genjutsu, although missing every time, was waiting for Sayuri to run back into it. Like a floating illusion, waiting to engulf her. The rock was a fake and Shimizu cursed herself for not noticing it when she first entered the arena. As far as the blast that hit her stomach: It burned like hell. And it seemed that his strategy was to catch Sayuri in a trap and then slow her down. Even when the pain subsided, Sayuri found she couldn't move very well. It seemed that she would have to fight this battle without her signature jutsus. She couldn't move, but found a small crater in the earth to hide in that proved to be real. From there, the initiated her strategy. Using unfamiliar hand signs, Sayuri conjured her ninjutsu, and a thick cloud settled over the arena. It was only the first phase to her plan, but when Toru's illusion suddenly waned, she wondered if she would if it would easier than she thought or if he was playing wit her again. Still, she needed to make an attempt at something. Just letting this jerk prove her uselessness was not an option. She pulled back her sleeves to reveal a beaten up, old needle launcher. (The only thing she could afford) After casting the appropriate jutsu on the needles, she launched them. Watching a thin line of razor sharp wire follow, she used her jutsu to control the needles, weaving an intricate web of wire around Toru. His screams revealed that she was grazing his body or coming dreadfully close to it, which were her intentions. Sayuri put all of her energy into a powerful jump and landed, each foot on a different wire, perched directly above Sumiko's head. Then, she let the the cloud dissipate and the crowd seemed to be just as shocked as Sumiko at the site of hundreds of needle spread throughout the arena. It was dead silent as Sumiko struggled with wire and needles. It seemed that some of them pierced his skin entirely and as he fidgeted with the bloody wounds, Sayuri began making hand signs much to Sumiko's horror. "Withdraw," she demanded, hoping her facade of strength would fool him. "Withdraw, or I blow you out of this world." Her breathing was heavy, but so was Toru's. He knew that in the time it took him to free himself, Shimizu would have fired whatever blash she had readied for him. He held up his hand, as much as he could without being cut by the wire, and called out, "I withdraw from the competition." Sayuri let her control over the needles fade and she fell to the ground. She wasn't unconscious, but she couldn't bare to move. She laid with her eyes closed on the ground. Not even the audience cheered. At least not until the shock sank in. Her strategy worked. The referee closed the battle, at a surprisingly short 15 minutes, and the audience proceeded to leave with the excitement of what had happened. It may not have been the battle of the year, but it was certainly a shocking one. 12. I've received enough sign-ups, I think. Everyone's accepted. I'm starting this [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] either Monday or later. If there's anyone who is no longer available to play, please PM me so I won't have to cut you later once the game is started. EDIT: Okay... Seeing as Allamorph has got it in his mind to create a new death card series (obviously since he's come up with the notion that I have no intent of starting mine anymore) I had to revive this thread ONE LAST TIME! (Technically, you could call this thread The Abyss 3.0) The premise is still the same... But now, you don't need any sort of prior qualifications to be a member of the special twist I've mentioned. Just PM and I'll take the best three. Trust me, it will be worth it. I've been looking for newer members to join this. After the disappearance of DB, this got delayed, (mostly because I was dead-set that he was coming back and that the RP couldn't continue without him.) but now, I'm ready to start this for sure... So here's the new thing, I'm going to post sign-ups AGAIN tonight. Even if you've previously signed-up, I need you to do it again. I'm sorry. However, if you've signed up already and would simply like to reconfirm your participation, I still have your old character cards if you would like to use them. Also, I know that since many RPs are coming to their end, that many of our veteran players will be available... *fingers crossed* Depending on the response, Sign-ups will be closed [strike]on Monday the 5th of May...[/strike] whenever I get enough sign-ups
13. How is this even possible? Charles asked himself as he headed back home. The previous day's funeral wear in complete dissarray. Not that it had been really nice anyway. (working on the railroad couldn't have done any more damage than it already had) Has Czenoble alwasy been like this or have I just been too good to notice? Charles felt like everything was going in the exact opposite direction. He came home to attend Leonhart's birthday and somehow, Rosengard and everyone in it became determined not to let him leave; Czenoble was like a prison to him. "And I'm not even a Almagest anymore." Charles chuckled to himself. He thought about his children. About Fauntleroy, Macey, and Daedalus. But for some reason, his lonely walk to the hospital only rendered more thaughts of the night before. The night when he should have been at Rosengard protecting his children. The night he spent with her instead. ~~~~~ "So tell me why you've returned to Czenoble?" she had asked. She poured charles some wine to make the night pass quicker. Charles rambled off some quick and awkward reply. He told her it was because of Bertram and Pearl, but neither of them believed it. It's not that Charles didn't love either of them. It was just that he saw too much of theri mother in them that it hurt. It certainly wasn't to actually see Leonhart or the rest of the 'family' although their hospitality was certainly welcome. "Why did you come with me?" she asked, "Why did you so willingly follow me to my home?" Charles was once agian, unable to answer truthfully, and too nervous to make up a lie. He opted to take another drink of wine. She leaned closer. Her hand now rest gently on his knee. Her head almost completely laid on his shoulder, as if testing to make sure that Charles didn't pull away. He was too stunned to even think of it. "Please Charles," she spoke again after some time, "Don't run away again. Tell me the truth. Let yourself hear the truth." She moved her hand onto his cheek, forcing Charles to look directly at her. He sighed for lack of words, feeling some sort of mental break on the verge. Tears were building in his eyes and then finally, "It's you," he answered, "You're the reason, Meredyne" She came close and kissed him softly on the lips after wiping the tears from his eyes. ~~~~~ The rest of the night was a blur. Charles assumed it was from the wine, or maybe he was just caught up in the moment. But no matter how happy - or lustful - Charles had been the night before, they seemed to work conversely for him this morning, and her certainly looked the part. Charles arrived at the hospital and noticed some of the locals stealing glances at him in his current state. By a train conductor's standards, he was dressed up. Nonetheless, it seemed that New Czenoble citizens seemed to take offense when you didn't wear your suit properly or have your hair combed down. A woman stood up upon his entrance and went to greet him. "I'm glad you came Charled," Nellie said, "I've been here for hours. It's nice to see that you could make it considering everything that has happened." Making a covert referance at Elizabeth. "Not at all, Helen. It was the least I could do." "Nonsense, we're all glad you came. Especially since Fonty's been asking for you." she said, pointing down the hallway towards Fauntleroy's room. Charles was shocked by Nellie's statement. Surely Fauntleroy hadn't wanted to personally see him. He figured that his sisters or or niece would be the first on his mind. "Don't worry" Nellie continued, "They're all fine. Now I suggest you go and speak to him before he gets irritated."
14. Days Away They're pretty good. They're an indie/experimental rock band from somewhere up north. (I forgot) They sound like a cross between Jimmy Eat World and some other harder rock band, (I haven't quite figured that out yet) Only they're better.
15.
Muse? Sakura? Darren?: Any chance we'll be hearing from you guys again anytime soon?
It's not that I don't want to post, Shy. It's that I can't really think of anything to post about. And now that I've gone so long without it, and my character hasn't even been mentioned, I've got a lot of catching up to do. I still need to catch up on all the posts, plus come up with something that Charles was doing during all this time... Fortunately, I do have maybe 1 idea that I hope to follow up on, but I don't know how proceed without making it confusing. Just bear with me, and I promise I'll try to post it within the next day or so.
16. So... It's been a week. (Well actually, longer than a week since I posted this last Saturday) I had a total of 8 sign-ups. There were others who said they'd take a stab at the game, who never signed up at all. Not to mention that 3 of the players that did sign up haven't even submitted their characters to me yet. So, I really don't have much of an option but to postpone The Abyss until I get more sign-ups, because five simpy isn't enough. :animesigh So the thread is open as of now, but I understand that since there isn't a definate starting date for this thing, that some of you might have conflicts preventing your participation. Therefor, if you have to pull out, I completely understand. So, let's give this another week, and if everyone that signed up could get me their characters, it would be great appreciated.

That and the brutal manner of my own death in the story still creeps me out to this day.
I agree whole-heartedly... Not to mention the fact that we won the challenge with that.
18. Darren

Juno

I loved the movie. Granted, I don't remember teenage pregnancy being that funny, but it was really good. And memorable one-liners: "Honey, Doctors are just sadists who like to play god and laugh at lesser people's pain" Seriously... I liked it so much, that I've seen it twice, and I really haven't stopped thinking about those really funny moments of the movie. I think one the really great things about the movie is that it's real in an unrealistic way. Like, I know a lot of people from my school who remind me of the characters in the movie, but at the same time, the characters seem to manipulate the plot to make it comedy. It really makes you think how funny real life could be if everyone was just more laid-back. :animesigh A+ (And in my top 3 movies of all time)
19. Actually, there already has been a "Golden Compass" thread quite some time ago before the movie was released. It even inspired Rachmaninoff to create a thread about censoring because of the whole protest of the movie. Anyway, I agree with just about everything you said. And if they plan on the next two movies to be just as watered down and horrible, I hope the project is never green-lighted. BTW: I love His Dark Materials
20. It hasn't hit me... Mostly because I have a strong-willed mother who will totally beat the ******* out of me if I even make a B... Plus, I've alwasy really hated school, so I'm anxious to leave. I can't have a bad transcript or class ranking effecting my chances of moving far far FAR away from this black hole of a state. IT SUCKS! So really, I can't be lazy or else my dreams will be crushed (Doubly crushed, actually. And anyone who has over-bearing parents who are really good at guilt trips will understand what I mean)
21.
They sound as if Adam Duritz developed acute autism, joined TV on the Radio, and then convinced the band to play every single generic radio hit single by every pop-punk band in existence simultaneously.
Well, I'm not here to defend my band... Just to question why you think they sound generic? generic adjective 1. relating to or common to or descriptive of all members of a genus; "the generic name" With their unique style, I would hardly call them generic... But, it's all opinion. I tend to favor experimental styles, so mewithoutYou fits me. Really if you can get passed his talking all the lyrics, it's really easy to enjoy the rest of it. Anyway, on to the question: "Jesus Christ" by Brand New. It's not as good as some of their old stuff. (In fact, it's a lot slower than what I'm used to) But again, the lyrics are amazing. So much so that I decided to post one of them: "Jesus Christ, I'm alone again. So what did you do those three days you were dead, 'cause this problem's gonna last more than the weekend..." :p
22.
I'll try this out, it seems like fun, but if I can't handle it I'll just say something. I'll have my characters in soon Darren.
Prem, I don't know if I can handle you not being able to handle it... Like I told DB, if Hells doesn't post enough or up to par, (quality-wise) I see him on a daily basis, so I can just bop him on the head... But you... I might just have to kill you for real. (YaY! A whole new twist to the death card series!:catgirl:) So, Prem, I don't want you to say something if you can't handle it. I want you to be absolutely 100% sure that you can handle the RP throughout the duration before you send your characters to me. Oh also, if anyone happens to know anybody else who would be interested in playing the game, feel free to invite them...

It contained innumerable television screens portraying gruesome scenes of rape, violence, murder, and death. Matthew had seen several of them before, but it was impossible to see all of it in a lifetime. There was simply too much brutality. ?The Abyss is running its final programming.? The reply came quickly, startling Matthew. The man inside the office stood along a section of monitors, all of which seemed to be playing a rape scene. Matthew recognized one of them as Katar Dakit and Lucia Travera. Of course the actual rape never occured, but his motives seemed to be enough to classify him as a rapist. ?Make no mistake about this program,? the man?s deep voice continued, ?As the leader of this new project, any success and?? He paused for the full effect, ??Failure fall on your head. ?Never before has there been a monitoring system like the one?s you have employed. Are you sure this is going to work?? ?No,? Matthew replied after some time. ?But I believe that the other programs failed because there was some aspect missing.? ?It?s true,? The man said, still staring at his TV screens, taking in all the violence. He was unnervingly calm, ?Not one run-through of our prior tests has managed to prevent the disaster the SEER has predicted.? He wasn?t telling the Matthew anything new, but rather stating the dire situation that the universe was supposedly in and reiterating how much The Abyss needed to be successful. ?In fact, enlightening Davis had the reverse effect, making the disaster even more imminent.? It took Matthew a while to figure out exactly which Davis he was talking about. But then the Name Davis Henderson registered and he recalled that this man was responsible for the self-destruction of The Maze. ?But sir, The Maze wasn?t intended for prevention, only preservation. I can hardly see what that has to do with the future.? He put emphasis on the last word, not completely convinced that there ever really would be a ?disaster.? ?Yes. And the Labyrinth wasn?t intended to be turned into a United Galactic Program. But it seems that all good ideas these days come from terrorists.? The Man laughed a bit at his own joke. ?I understand the severity of the situation,? Matthew replied, returning to the serious air from before. However, Matthew had never seen the man so upset at just a prospective experiment. It only made him even more nervous. ?And you?re sure you wish to proceed?? It was a little late to be turning back, but Matthew knew it as a test of confidence. ?I am.? ?And you?re sure of your choices for the monitoring system?? He asked. The Interruption Beam was at 100% meaning that the onlookers were already functioning and, that it too, was unable to be changed. ?I am.? ?Very well. Inform the staff that we?ll begin the countdown to initiation in two hours. After that, it?s all in your hands, Mr. Thomas.? Matthew Thomas exited the office filled with TV screens of past subjects, excited that his project was about to begin, but worried of what might occur if something goes wrong. If there was one tiny factor that he?d forgotten to take into account, it could all fail, and Matthew would most likely be killed. But what was presently on his mind was his contact, Al, who was waiting in the club to hear the good news. If everything went according to plan, Matthew and Al would have a nice stack of money to start over. He picked up his inter-wav and stated Al?s name before small buzzing noise occurred as the signal connected. Seconds later, Al?s elderly face was on the small holographic screen that the inter-wav projected. ?Tell me you have good news.? Al?s rough voice, although plagued with throat cancer, still demanded respect from even Matthew, who was quite higher on the social ladder. ?The Countdown begins in two hours,? a wide grin spread across his face, matching the one that Al displayed, ?Are the investors there?? ?134 and 612 are here. I?m still waiting on the others.? Al replied in between coughs. ?What about you?? ?I?m headed to the complex as we speak to meet and greet the onlookers.? ?Good luck to you, then. I?m glad I only have to deal with the nice ones.? Al laughed at the word nice, before thrown into a fit of coughing. Humor was never kind to the old man, and it was such a shame that a cure for cancer hadn?t been discovered. It was even more of a shame that the SEER showed one of the test subjects some years ago had to potential of finding a cure but was killed during a run-through. ?Yeah right,? Matthew knew in his heart that no matter how many died, the future was just as unclear as it was 2000 years ago. The SEER was a fraud, and he was determined to see its predictions fail. Lucky for it, the SEER miraculously made predictions only on the subjects who died during run-throughs. And even then, the predictions were made after they had been killed. ?Good luck to both of us.? Matthew finished before turning off the inter-wav device. Then, after informing the crew of The Abyss, he stepped onto the transport vehicle and took off towards the complex where everything would unfold. Welcome, all, to the sign-ups for the fourth installment of Sandy?s ?Death Card? series, The Abyss. Don?t know what that is? Don?t worry, I?ll brief you. Unlike most RPGs, the Abyss is a competition of strategy and wit. There can only be one winner, and it?s a long but fun process. Here?s the mechanics. There are a number of characters that will be at your disposal. (Two of which will be your own) The owners of these characters will remain a secret to everyone but the owner. Your job is to kill off everyone else?s characters and be the last one standing. How do you do this? Simple: with a death card. During each round, players will receive death cards, (or a number of other possible cards, which will remain unknown and will be explained when they are introduced) Once you have reached the requirements of the round, then you can use your card. (For example: In round 1, everyone must make at least one introductory post before any killing can occur) How exactly do you post the death? Just like this: That means the character is killed. And there you have it. That?s how you play. Once the twists are revealed, the game becomes even more interesting and difficult at the same time. So be prepared. And now, on to? The Sign-Ups All I require is that you post in this thread first to show interest, and I?ll be able to see how many are planning on signing up, so I can wait for all the PMs to come in. After you?ve done that, please PM me with two 100X100 animated avatars to act as your character. (You can see my example above, but I require one male and one female) Also, with your avatars, I will need the following information: Name: Anything you want. Age: This can be just about anything depending on the race of your character. (Obviously if they?re human, it should at least be between nine and ninety. However, if you have a ninety year-old woman, don?t be surprised if she dies first) Gender: There?s only two genders? Just because you invent a race of people doesn?t mean you can invent a new gender as a loophole to the rules) Race/Origin: Human, Centaur, Sphinx, or some personal creature directly from your mind. Just about anything works. Origin includes both their home planet (which can be made up) and the time period they are coming from. (Past, present, or future, it doesn?t matter) Occupation: Anything you want. (Keep in mind, I have the right to edit any of the information you provide me in order to better suit the style of sign-ups and to avoid any contradictions) Now, you might be asking yourself, ?Why isn?t there a spot for personality?? And the answer is quite simple: Because you don?t develop the personality; your competition does. One of the key aspects to the Death Card game is manipulation. Because every character is a secret to the players, it?s all about strategy in how you use the characters. Perhaps you could make one of them a murderer or a rapist. It?s all up to you. And as their personality develops, (or doesn?t develop which has been the case with some) it will sway people to like or dislike that character. Obviously, everyone needs to die except your own, but based on how you post could determine how soon a character dies or even how long it lives. OUTLAST the competition. WIN the game. So, here?s where it all starts. Feel free to post in this thread to show interest or ask any questions before sending in your avatars.
24. Mewithoutyou Yep. Anyone heard of them? They're AMAZING!!! My friend introduced them to me, but I wasn't to crazy at first. (He tends to shout through the song. Not like screaming or metal stuff... Just sort of talk/shouting) But the music was good, so when he invited me to a concert, I went. They were sooooo good live, that it gave me chills (I love it when a band does that... It means they're really good!) so I got online and read some of the lyrics... They're sooo deep. It was just amazing... So even though his voice annoys me in some songs, I love them! Mewithoutyou. (Just one word) You should check them out!
