1. Well, honestly, I didn't think that Merik was too generic. I mean he was a photographer, but Oromis was just another head-hunter and I believe we started the game with about 5 of those, or at least 5 people with similar occupations... I suppose he was generic in the fact that he was a little pervy and horny, (which should be added to Katar's and Sastasha's personalities) but that wasn't really the creator's fault... Just the poster. In any case, he's dead now and we still have three hired killers on the loose in the Panopticon. :animesigh You dissappoint me Sandy. It seems I'll have to go and finish the job... :animeangr hehe, but you never know what I'll do! I like to be random... Maybe I'll get lucky and kill off the last of someone's characters.
2. As requested by Deathknight, here's a new poem. Keep in mind I'm very VERY new to poetry. (I wrote my first decent poem last summer. And I only have 6 or so that I kept. The rest gets trashed) I like trying out new rhyme schemes every now and then and this is my second poem without one at all. (I think I already posted my first one when I created it) This one's fresh off the presses. Political, Sacrilegious, Existential, and oh so wonderful, here 'goes... Traits and Traitors I feel like a cell in an ocean of blood, Circling the body, dreaming of bigger things But propelled by the pulse of a larger being Forced upon by oxygen to keep him alive A cell is just a drone and I wish to break free A heart is just an organ that couldn?t function without the brain The brain is just electrical impulses that couldn?t think without me If I am most important, then why am I so forgotten? What?s to be admired by a four chambered heart When no one even uses it? What?s the big deal with intelligence When violence is preferred over reason? Contradictions are at their peak; Betrayals of the mind that I shamefully control In the end the red cells die Eventually, The body?s pulse stops Who can say why either one ends Maybe we should add another chamber Truth shows that drones are soul-less So that?s what we must be There?s not much difference between the two Except that the body has a choice. After all, ?Traits? and ?Traitors? are really only separated by two little letters ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, and now for the snippet of my story. I haven't read the part that I'm about to submit in quite a while. (You know how stories get... You tend to get lazy and hold them off for long periods of time) So there are probably several editing session in store for it later, but try to look passed all that... It's easy to follow, I hope it's a good read for all of you. The moon was high in the night sky as it cast its silvery vale over the land of the once powerful Mayan empire. Of course, Adrianne didn?t know it was the Mayan empire. Perhaps it was the Aztec or the Incan ruins, but she never really paid much attention in history to know for sure. It was just one of those feelings that someone gets when they have a dream and Adrianne had been having this particular dream for quite some time. It was exactly the same every time: Adrianne was hiding in the shrub just in front of a forest that couldn?t survive in the area where the original Mayan settlements were built. However, Adrianne was too caught up in the dream to point out every false-hood she happened upon. In front of her, the forest cleared into a dry and cracked terrain, much like that of a desert. The tall, eroding mass of a pyramids lay in front of her with hundreds of narrow steps leading up to what looked like a sacrificial altar. All the while, the moon was slowly falling behind the summit of the pyramid until if formed a silver arch behind the blood stained clay bricks. And to the left of the pyramid, stood two dark metal cages that rocked back and forth ominously as some sort of beast spat in anger while two hooded men tried in vain to steady the cages. Adrianne had seen this a million times. In a few seconds, a beautiful young woman would be carried by four hooded figures up the steps of the pyramid to the altar where a fifth one would meet them. The fifth one, who was established as the leader by his golden-rimmed hood, would then call the two cage holders to let out the animals, or whatever they were. Adrianne had never seen what was inside the cages, because she always had to wake up, but with the way the creatures inside were growling, and grunting, and hissing, she was sure she didn?t want to. Almost as if her mind had signaled it, the dream continued and a young woman suddenly appeared from behind the pyramid being carried by four black hooded figures, each carrying one limb. She was much younger than Adrianne had remembered. Her dirty, blonde hair dangled freely as she writhed in pain. Despite the blood that had now dried and left her looking like she was wearing a mask of scarlet, it didn?t obscure her beauty. Her arms and legs were badly bruised and cut and she looked as though she had been running through the forest bare foot and her toga style dress was badly torn. They turned toward the steps and carried the helpless woman up the many stairs. The whole time, the woman didn?t say a word. She didn?t even beg for her life, which Adrianne found very awe inspiring. As the four hooded ones reached the summit, the fifth one appeared and, in a language Adrianne couldn?t understand, signaled for the other hooded men to open the cages. He was holding a book of some kind. Adrianne guessed it contained steps for a ceremony of some sort But this time, she could feel that something was different. Her mind was telling here that the dream was going to reach the end and she could finally see what was going to happen to the woman. As the two men opened the cages, Adrianne wanted to look away out of fear, but curiosity held her gaze toward the metal containers. The bodies of the beasts moved suavely at first, sniffing everything around in violent huffs that could easily be confused with a gorilla?s. The men held a strip from the woman?s dress in front of the black holes of the now open cages. The beasts suddenly and violently emerged from their prisons, spitting and barking in rage, but completely obedient to the hooded figure. The creatures struck Adrianne so off guard that she nearly woke up, but she willed herself to stay in the dream just a bit longer. Upon inspection, the monsters seemed to have the body of a hyena with fangs so long that they couldn?t fit in their own mouths. Adrianne also took notice that they had no eyes; just patches of film that covered where the eyes used to be. She wondered how the creatures were able to get around so easily, but then she saw that the monsters had a snake?s tongue and simply smelled out their prey. The monsters leapt up the steps and darted for the body of the woman, longing to tear her limb from limb as the dark figures stood idly back and watched. They looked much bigger as the as their powerful legs propelled them up the steps of the pyramid. Adrianne saw that the moon was set behind the pyramid just perfect. As soon as one of the hyenas came in range it lunged strait for the woman?s breast, aiming to tear out her heart, while the figures held tightly to her wrists and ankles. Adrianne had to suppress the urge to scream out and forced herself to watch. She didn?t know why she felt so strongly for the woman, but something wanted her to stay alive. An arrow came out of nowhere, piercing the cool night air, and landed in the creature?s skull, answering her prayers. The beast fell and hit one of the hooded figures causing him to lose his grip. In such a swift movement of athleticism and strength, the woman managed to free herself from his grasp and throw him over the side of the pyramid as though she were swatting a fly. The second beast was now in the air with its great claws extended. The woman continued her rampage and lifted her dress to thigh level revealing an object that was blurred to Adrianne. The woman moved so quickly that it made her seem as though she blended into the night air. The next thing she saw was a flash of light so bright, it reminded Adrianne of the sun. The light seemed to be resonating from everything in the world. It was so bright that Adrianne had to shield her eyes. When it had finally subsided, Adrianne saw five slumping figures on the ground, each one crawling around in agony. She also saw that the second hyena in mid-lunge was nowhere to be found. It was as though it had disappeared or been sucked into some other world. Still, beyond all of the mess, stood the silhouette of the beautiful woman, lit by the setting moon. It was at that point that the woman looked directly through the shrub and into Adrianne?s eyes. In the few seconds that eye contact was made, a lifetime of emotions were exchanged and it was the first time that Adrianne had really stopped to notice just how beautiful the blue eyed, blonde haired woman really was. The woman was both scared and brave. She was happy for being saved, but at the same time, she knew that her death was imminent. She wasn?t afraid to die, but she was scared of not accomplishing her task. She was also scared that she would never see her love again. Such wisdom was expressed in her gaze, like a brilliant mother who would die to protect her children. Adrianne felt safe in her presence In the next second, the gaze was broken and the woman began running down the steps of the pyramid three at a time. Adrianne wondered what emotions she transferred to the stranger, but she never had time to ask. The stranger simply ran through the shrub and into the forest without taking notice to Adrianne at all. With the way she kept looking back, it was like she was beckoning Adrianne to follow her and be quick about it. At first Adrianne was simply going to sit in the bushes and try to pinch herself awake; this was getting too strange, but then, she found herself running through the forest alongside her new found companion. She was so curious about this woman, but she was also scared to speak in to such a strong and powerful woman. When Adrianne finally summoned up the courage to speak, not only did the stranger not speak back, but it also seemed as if she didn?t know Adrianne was running right beside her. Maybe she wasn?t telling her follow along after all. In the distance, they could here the leader of the hooded figures shouting something in that same foreign language and Adrianne knew immediately what it meant. In less that a minute, the hyenas were running at their heels, attempting to bite their calves or trip them with their snake like tongue. The woman was very fast and if it hadn?t been for her injuries, she would have been able to outrun the creatures easily. As it were, she was running her hardest only to be met with the hyena?s merciless claws on her pearl white skin. She cried out in pain, but she was steadfast and fearless. Just like before, answering Adrianne?s prayers, two more creatures jumped out from behind the trees. Adrianne thought the young woman would never make it out alive, but then it occurred to her that these two new creatures were actually dogs and they were there to defend the woman. The dogs, who looked like some kind of hunting breed that Adrianne couldn?t tell, leapt strait for the bombarding hyenas and grabbed their neck and paws and wrestled them to the ground in a fury of animal blood and saliva. The hyenas were much bigger and there was no doubt that the dogs would be either injured or killed and Adrianne thought about stopping to help, but instead she kept running so she could keep up with the woman. The logs and low hanging branches made it difficult to get around, but the woman?s graceful run didn?t seem to be affected by this at all. She seemed to flow over and around the logs like an Olympic hurdler and though she was bare foot and limping from all the pain, she showed no signs of giving up. After all this running, the woman finally stopped just as the forest edged out and the land suddenly dropped off to reveal a cliff at least 100 feet tall. She backed up several feet when she saw the jagged rocks jutting out from the sea below. She turned, and once more, looked directly into Adrianne?s eyes. Her eyes were the color of the sea below and Adrianne felt that she could stare into this woman?s soul forever. The two women stood there for several minutes before they were shocked back to reality by the yelping of the two hunting dogs from earlier. Adrianne knew that those hyena monsters had probably killed the dogs and would soon catch up to the fatigued woman and finish their job. The stranger didn?t move and a cold, fearless fury took over her eyes. She kneeled down and tore off the bottom part of her dress, so she could move more freely, and pulled out a golden knife that was strapped to one of her calves, just below her knee. Then she stood up, took several deep breaths, and took a fighting position. Adrianne examined the flawless stance and assumed she had been trained in some form of martial arts. The hyenas emerged from the edge of the forest from each side so they could trap the woman, and shortly after, the hooded figures came out to make sure the woman died. The beasts didn?t seem to notice or care about Adrianne as she lay on her belly at the edge of the forest. There was a silence so intense, that Adrianne felt as if she were suffocating. The beasts began to circle around the woman, taunting her, but she stood there, completely relaxed. Suddenly, the silence was broken by a loud bark and the creatures dove for the woman; one for her legs, the other was in the air, aimed for her head. Once again, her swift movements were hard to follow. Adrianne could barely tell what was going on. The woman jumped slightly, to avoid the beast from below, and pivoted her torso to the right into some sort of spin, so she could stay away from the high creature. With her golden knife in hand, she thrust it into the back of the creature?s neck and removed it in the middle of her spin, to allow it to fly over the cliff. All this happened before she even touched the ground. Then, the woman dropped to her knees to meet the second creature?s spine, snapping it in two and with that same strength from before, she kicked the large body over the side of the cliff to meet the other. She relaxed a little, it seemed that she knew her goal was accomplished, but what that goal was, Adrianne couldn?t tell. The figures began spitting and cursing in anger. Adrianne laughed at their foolishness; they assumed the creatures would kill her. But now, they were mad, and the main figure, held up his hand and began speaking in that foreign language. The woman backed up to the edge of the cliff. She had lost her will to fight, and she knew it was all over. The woman looked right into Adrianne?s eyes for the third and final time and gave her a nod of assurance, almost like she was saying, ?this is all for the best,? and Adrianne was over come by the sensation of familiarity between the two of them and couldn?t hold back her tears. The woman, ignoring the hooded leader?s raised hand, looked up to the sky and muttered, ?Forgive me, my love.? And then, she fell backwards off of the cliff, eyes filled with tears, but her face filled with joy. She was happy to die for something she believed in. The leader?s hand dropped with some invoking force and a bolt of lightning struck the edge of the cliff, just barely missing the woman that had stood there seconds before. It didn?t really matter though; the beautiful stranger was already free.
3. Hmmm. This is definately an odd turn of events. I didn't actually think anybody would heal the infected, but I was proven wrong. It feels like a huge target has just been placed on Dafine and Sastasha, Like maybe Sandy switched Dafine with Sastasha to flush out whichever character owned him...
And I don't know why, but I've always had this vibe that Sastasha either belonged to Rachmaninoff or SunfallE, but there's really no telling with this post.
In investigative research, you're supposed to suspect the obvious, but at the same time, some things just seem too obvious to suspect. So either, this proves my suspicion of two characters and their owners, or else I'm thinking too much into things (again) and both SunfallE and Sandy are just trying to throw everyone off. *Grr* Now I'm frustrated and confused... Let me go and ponder the possibilities before I post.
4. I can't wait to see who else has the Body Trade card and who they use it on. And I'm also eager to find out what the other special card is. But seeing as I just poisoned Oromis, it looks like he's in the same boat as [STRIKE]Dafine[/STRIKE] Sastasha. Oh man if I had it, there would be something so completely cruel planned out... I can only picture it now. But seeing that I don't have it, I'll just keep it to myself and hope one of the three remaining card-holders has the same thing in mind... Oh man it would be so great, so I'll hold off on tell you after this round is over... Or at least until the other Body Trade card has been used.
5. Oromis couldn't think of anything else to say. "Hey, are you alright?" was the only thing he managed to ask. Obviously she wasn't okay, but at the same time, Oromis thought she could still be a trap. He was cautious. Not only about the obvious danger that this blue-haired girl could pose, but also about the situation. It wasn't the first time he'd been stuck like this, with an innocent, scared woman lying helplessly in front of him. However, last time was because she was caught in the crossfire and died just a few moments later. Oromis had alwasy known the risks of headhunting and always tried his best to keep things as quick and clean as possible without ever even coming close to hurting the innocent. However, he couldn't prevent it all the time, and the way this new female was sprawled out in front of him like this, nude and ashamed, it brought back memories of that unfortunate brunette back on Creitz. The only differnce was this woman had a chance. Oromis stood and helped the woman up. She had dark bruises around her wrists and there were several whelps all along her legs and back; there was no questioning what had happened to her. Or what had almost happened to her. "Here, take this." he said as he took off his big jacket and handed it to her. It still smelled of blood, but she seemed greatful for even the tiniest bit of clothing... Then Oromis noticed that while the jacket was large for her, it didn't cover a large portion of her legs, and in fact the blood soaked jacket was so overwhelmingly baggy on her body, that it actually drew the eyes to her legs. Oromis was willing to deal with it, as was the young woman, but Merik was gazing at her like a piece of meat. "And this too" he added as he took his shirt off, revealing his massive bronzed muscles in what little light the corridor they were in possessed. It was sweaty and covered in blood, (Not the best combination of odors, he thought) but once again, the yound lady took his shirt and tied it around her waist, covering her completely down to the knees. "Shall we get moving now?" They stood and continued without the presence of Julian, the entire time Merik was babbling away with a million questions about the CCC and how if he could meet the people, he would kill them all. Also about all the traps their group had faced so far and that they were the only ones left of the ordeal. He also metioned something about his camera and how he would like to take a photoshoot of her. Oromis didn't care either way. The woman was no longer helpless, although one could easily tell she wasn't wanting to engage in much conversation. Merik couldn't take a hint. Now, the straps of his sniper were rubbing his skin raw. He felt stupid for giving up the shirt, but was too much of a gentlemen to ask for it back, despite the fact that he killed people for a living. And maybe that was why he had let his guard down; He was too busy observing the young woman that he wasn't paying attention to his environment. The next step that Ormis took was not much of a step at all. In fact, the entire areay where his foot had been just fell through, suspending his entire left leg in some unknown hole that reached into darkness. The young lady and Merik tried as best they could to pull Oromis out of the hole, in addition to his own strenght, but they were no match. Something was holding him down and before long a piercing sensation was coursing through his leg. It was like a pain he had never endured in his entire life, feeling as though his skin were burning off at the site of contact. A moment later, he was free and his leg was out of the hole. Upon inspection, Oromis noticed a 5 point prick in his calf. It was still burning, but Oromis knew immediately that he had been poisoned. "Are you alright?" Merik actually sounded half-concerned. If he wasn't too busy inspecting the girl's breast. "It's nothing. Damn thing near cut off my leg." It was the first lie Oromis had told in his life, but one that he thought was necessary. He didn't want to alert either of his party members. They would panic without the guidence he provided. "Let's get moving." He stood up painfully and began limping at just as fast a pace as before which was quite a feat considering what was running through his blood. "My name's Lucia Travera. I come from --" She spoke for the first time since they found her. It was a pretty name, but Oromis had held his hand up to signal her silence. He wished that she hadn't told him her name. Names only made things more complicated. 6. I will do my best to shorten the posts, (not that it's a big deal) but I mean come on, it's Sandy we're talking about... If he can't catch up then nobody can. But the reason why I ususally like having longer posts (not that mine are as long as some people's) is because I'm limited in my internet access, so when I am able to get on, I have to write long ones just in case I'm not able to get back on for a while. Still, I'll try. EDIT: I love that body trade card. It seems like fun! [STRIKE]But I think I'll hold out on posting. Everyone that I wanted to post as has been switched, and I don't want to seem like I'm favoring just one group, so I'll wait...[/STRIKE] I thought of something. Let's just hope Rachmaninoff and I don't post about the same character since I saw that he was online. On the subject of Alcuin: There are only two reasons I could come up with as to why he would be imprisoned. I know SunfallE said she was going to keep her opinions to herself, but I don't think I will. Besides DB doesn't have to confirm anything. 1) Referencing the beginning video. (Which would have been my doing) 2) Taking or Eating chocolate. (It's the more likely scenario and would be Rachmaninioff's fault. It also seems to fit what DB introduced with the cafeteria.) P.S. I like what happened with Julian and Katar. It was funny. :D
7. Thank you so much. I didn't see any inconsistancies when I read over it, so it should be fine. I feel so stupid for not checking the "who's online thing," while I was posting. In any case, I actually think our posts fit together pretty well. How 'bout you? Because if you don't think it's as good, I could probably edit mine a bit to fit yours more... I just feel awful... :animeswea Sorry :catgirl:
8. Hold on Rach... I skimmed over yours. Tell me, do you think it can work out if you just posted yours after mine? I mean there may be a few inconsistancies, but we can both edit those... I think it could work seeing as Dafine was very critical of Sastasha in both posts... Just throwing out ideas so neither one of us has to scrap posts.
9. Well, I posted... But it seems that I did it at the same time as Rachmaninoff. About the same person! :animecry: And I really liked my post too! Okay, enough whining. I'll go delete it, but I've never done that before, so I should start now. And after all that time and effort I put into it!
10. Dafine Hecata was in shock. The once young and beautiful lady that she was carrying on her back when the lake was still water, had suddenly transformed into a man? She bounced back on all fours, hissing wildly at the true face of Serena. "Uh... What just happened?" he spoke. How dare it speak in the prescense of its superior and violate rules of her people's contract. Dafine could not take it anymore. "How dare you speak in front of me? You, you..." Dafine had never actually met face to face with a shape changer, but she knew the stories of her world. If Serena was actually this person, then her entire group was in danger. She had never been so angry and never learned to speak any of the vulgar words from her planet. Grasping for something to say, "You shit!" It sounded awkward, and almost a like a question, but the shape changer seemed to understand what she was meaning and he backed up in defense. It was now or never. If Dafine wanted to save the lives of the group, she had to end this one's right now! She struck, her lightning fast reflexes caught the changer off guard. Her claws were fully extended now at an amazing 7, inches. More than enough to slit the enemy's throat. Out of nowhere, Etamet appeared, his arms outstretched; he was defending the enemy. Then he must die, too. She didn't retract her claws nor did she back down. She was planning on two powerful swipes to kill the obstacle and the enemy, but she had not expected the speed of the powerful dark-skinned hunter. He dodged her swipe, grabbing her wrist, and throwing Dafine to the side. She would not fall so easily, especially to a male. Her claws sank into his forearm and pulled him down with her. They rolled over each other a few times, excelled by the slight slope the area they were in, before they reached a stop with Etamet's knife at Dafine's neck and her claws at his breast, ready to pierce his heart; they were in a stalemate. "Can we just talk about this a bit." Delita spoke up. Dafine realized her hastiness, but already the changer could be twisting their minds to its will. "We must kill it now before it's too late." she screamed, and felt Etamet's knife press closer to her neck. He didn't like her tone and Dafine knew she must calm down. She retracted her claws and stood up and then helped Etamet up. She made sure to look the changer in the eye and hiss wildly so as to warn him not to move. Etamet spoke, "Would you mind telling us why just attacked this man?" "That is no man. Nor a woman. It is nothing but my people's mortal enemy; a shape-changer." "Me? No my name's--" It started to speak, but... "QUIET YOU!" Dafine roared loud enough to make him step back a few steps. It even reminded Etamet of the wild beasts he used to hunt. He wondered if she was more in touch with her primal instincts than the rest of the group. "A what now? Come again."Eliana spoke up. The tone in her voice really upset Dafine. How dare they mock me? She thought. Her blood was practically boiling. "A shape changer! They come from my home planet and they are the sworn enemies of my people. We have thousands of bodies and a 200 year long war to prove it. And what do they have?" Now addressing the man, "Nothing, but a black clound of dust where they have been vanquished. They have no sould and does not know what it means to experience loss. It must die before it bends your minds." "Dafine," Etamet spoke again, "You must have endured a lot during the war, but I can assure you that this man is not of your planet, nor is he called a shape-changer." He was calm in such a fury. Dafine admired that, but it even made her angrier. "My name is Sastasha," the man began inching towards the group, hoping that the feud had passed. "I am a human and I don't mean to cause any harm to anyone." "And why should I believe you?" She roared again, sending the man back to his original position, too scared to speak up. "I can think of a few reasons," Alcuin stepped up. He had remained silent this entire time, so why can't he just stay silent? Dafine was even more annoyed, but let him continue nonetheless, "I may have been slightly out of it, but wasn't this man's face one of the pictures that showed up on the video when we first woke up here?" "That's right." Dileta said, "We were all on the video. And that means--" "That Serena must have been switched with this man." Eliana had taken over where Delita left off. "Are you guys talking about that video with the creepy voice and threatening message? It had all those pictures on it, right?" The changer was calling itself Sastasha now. "It is the same video. So you mean that you saw it as well?" Etamet stepped closer to him and patted his shoulder. "Come to think of it. I do remember seeing all of your pictures on there as well. I don't know why I didn't come across it earlier, but I guess it's only logical that there are others. After all, we found that girl." "There are others? So Serena's safe then?" Eliana approached him as well. "I suppose that if I'm where she was standing, then she's probably where I was standing." "That's wonderful news, don't you think Dafine?" Eliana approached her and gave her a hug. "Serena's okay and we know that there are other's. That means if we can find them, we should incraese our chances of getting out of here." "It would seem that is our only option." Etamet took the lead again, "we cannot afford fool-hardy assumtions. We must assume that this man, Sastasha is telling us the truth so we can address the issue at hand." "And it doesn't look like you guys have it any better off than we did." Sastasha finally said with some confidence in his voice. Then addressing Dafine, "I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. I hope we can put this behind us." He put his hand out to shake, but Dafine could not bring herself to do it. Instead, she looked at him and gave this awfully fake smile, but the others didn't seem to notice. Perhaps they assumed she didn't greet by shaking hands on her world. It seems that the changer has already bent their mind, she thought. In fact, her hatred was blinding her and she could only imagine the changer dying by her hands. But I must wait, lest the group lose their trust in me. I will wait until the opprortunity presents itself. Then, she rejoined her group and the task at hand.
11. Jeez people, I go away to work for 6 hours and you leave me an entire page to read. I agree, we nee more action in the main thread. Funny enough, I don't recall a link to the main thread or underground in anybody's sigs except mine and DB's, and his is to the underground probably after BK suggested it... Hmmm. Okay, just to get this out of the way, (even if it is a bit of rehashing) And this is just for the sake of getting my opinion on the matter... In fact I haven't even had a chance to read the main thread yet. (I alwasy read underground first) 1) Apparently Lucia and Sastasha had sex. I'm going to take Allamorph's stand on this and say "Roll with it." We can't come up with personalities for every single character and get upset when it doesn't follow exactly how we wanted it to happen. I know that in The Maze, I was PISSED when Alden started having sex with basically everything that moved, and when someone wrote him out to be a criminal... I don't understand how a mechanic can go to a criminal/rapist, but that's how his character led up to be. The same way that Lucia may have been a caring person, but with DB's new post, she now seems to want to have a little sex now and then. (once again I haven't read DB's post) That's just how her personality has turned and we have to deal with it and move on... But addressing Sastasha: I think his occupation was a rock star... Yeah, that's enough for me to assume that during his whole being nice to Lucia and Mary, was all flirting. (Flirting towards Lucia, that is) And I know a lot of rock stars who are sex-adicts (not personally, but that's the sterotype) so if that's what DB assumed, then once again: "Roll with it" 2) Nadia: Listen guys. Regardless of wether you think she should have lost her will to live after she was raped, doesn't matter. Even though BK has finally made his intentions clear, he left it open once she was released from her punishment... Therefore, without clarifying in your post, BK, you allowed for someone else to decide if she was the type of elf that would come from Tolkien's stories... Since you did that, it's not fair to DB to clarify after he's already made the post. (and I know, you didn't really seem to have much of a problem with it, I'm just trying to address everything.) 3) The psycho-killer: I havent' even read the post yet, but I can already figure out what DB meant... He said "A psycho killer, The CCCs own newly reprogrammed something, and..." (forgive me for not being exact, I'm too lazy to go back and get quotes. I just want to finish this so I can read the main thread) Psycho Killer = Meredith Taylor CCC reprommed subject = Brittany Cossentine And... (whatever came after) = more than likely referred to Delilah Rousseau. 4) DB, don't back out completely. I can understand you backing out a little to just before and after round posts, but to back out completely is really, kinda selfish. (harsh but true) Once again, I take Allamorph's and BK's stand: Learn from your mistakes, don't run from them. (paraphrasing) So, that about sums it up, I believe. And just so everybody knows: Your complaints are making me want to kill them more than DB's posts. It makes me think that you're all so upset because the characters aren't going in the way you had planned out. Which then leads me to the conclusion that they belong to you... So it can go both ways: You see DB putting a target on their heads, I see you guys putting targets on their heads. Whatever.
12.
What part of 'not everyone has to die' does no one ever understand? XD Oh well. Even in the Maze I always preffered the posts where I actually didn't kill people, so I guess that puts me in the perfect position here, lol.
Hmmm, well, while that may be a tempting offer to not kill anyone, I just can't break away from traditon... Besides the more I kill, the better chances mine have of surviving. I feel like it's time for a list, just because I'm bored but I don't want to go to bed yet... Or the extended list of who killed who... Like I said, I'm bored. *shrugs* Besides, it might help some of you figure out which character belongs to who... Also, it looks like the girls outnumber the boys by three, in case anybody cares.
13. Well, I have to go to work in 30 minutes, so I dont' have time to actively post today, but I'll try my best to make one after I get back tonight. I just hope HellsMinion posts today. Oh well.
14.
P.S. Besides just look at the drama going on! The underground thread is seeing more action than the main thread! :p
AMEN! I don't know what is wrong, but it truly does seem like this was a bit underdeveloped... I was wondering how the imprison cards would come into play, but the second I heard about it, I sort of knew they would be a disaster unless your rules were very specific and they wouldn't have been very easily recognizable when they were broken... But at the same time, that might have made them too hard to break and then the cards would have become pointless. I think you went the right way when implimenting them, so don'f feel bad. I feel for you DB, I really do. After The Maze, I was planning on starting one myself, but since you jumped up so quickly, I thought I would let you have it while I took the time to prepare mine... And in the process of coming up with some really unique and new cards, I've been constantly thinking and re-thinking how it could negatively harm a character in the game or give someone an unfair advantage... It's a hard thing to follow in the footsteps of this already great series, (I hope that's an okay statement) but you've been doing great. And now that you've seen your mistakes, (that's a part of it, too. You get to make mistakes, DB because you're the host and no one would say anything unless you said it first) you can back up and try your best not to make the same one again. Don't worry, the RP is going great in my opinion. I like the changes that you've implimented, and at the same time, I've been getting a lot of ideas for what I can do with mine. I don't see why it shouldn't proceed smoothly after this round.
15.
My smile waned when I saw this. "Captain Planet, he's our hero, gunna take pollution[/i'] down to zero, gunna help us put asunder; bad guys who like to loot and plunder!"
:animeshy: Awww. Now you've made me feel bad. But It's not like I've seen that show in years... :( I think I'm gonna go litter now! :animecry:
16. Wow. I liked all of them and yes the first one is very entertaining. The one that really stuck out to me was Star-Dust Covered Cake... I don't know what it is, but there' s something poetic about it, what with the words you chose. The last line gave me chills and I'm not quite sure why... I loved it, but I don't know why. In any case, you should keep writing... Now, just so we don't break away from the poetry trend we have going on here, (and the fact that my only story I have typed up is literally 21 pages in Word, and that's just chapter 1.) I think I'll post this poem. It's the shortest one I've ever written, and it was in response to a friend. I think it's also the most confusing poem I've ever written and it's those types that no one will every figure out exactly... To pinpoint it, you'd have to be me! :D A Puppet's Poem [E- I guess] Cold, hard wood. The way a puppet?s skin should. Frosted white glass. Its eyes are blinded from my class. Strings that stretch into the sky, Should I take hold, its emotions fly. Scarred and shadowed, heart and head, Devoid of thought, it finds light in bed. So cold it was and blinded it saw, Assumptions ran. My word became law. I grasped its strings inside my fists. I drew it close with flicks of my wrists. Its head and heart are no longer there; They belong to me and you don?t even care.
17. So DB, What's the deadline now? I know you've got one planned out in your head and once again, we're waiting on HellsMinion... I really hope he posts tomorrow! I want to move onto the next round. And Beth practically set it up for a horrible death... We need to do something soon.
18. uhh, duh... It's Captain Planet. It even says it in the opening song. "Captain Planet... He's our hero. Gonna take those bad guys down to zero" Jeez, I thought that would be obvious. But a close second would be Rocky DeSantos, the 2nd Red Power Ranger! or Squee from JTHM! To endure all that hardship from psycho neihbors, evil grandpas, butt-probing aliens, and even worse, Squee should be everyone's hero. (after Captain Planet of course) But in all seriousness: My role model (not so much hero) is Robin Williams and a close second as Johnny Depp. I love them both as actors, (As an aspiring actor, it's good to have inspiration) and I will literally watch anything they play in. Even if it's porn. (I have yet to see that, but I stand by my word) KIDDING! However, if what they play in is god-awful/terrible, I won't hesitate to tell them. (But they never seem to hear me)
19. Well, my name is Darren and it's not exatly a common name like my brother's, Michael. So every time we would go into an amusement park store, he would always find those keychains with his name on them, and what would I get? A stupid shotglass? What kind of parent buys their kid a shot glass anyway? I mean, yes, it had a picture of the roller coaster, but come on... At least buy me a toy or something. What could I even do with that? Pretend to have a tea party? Or maybe, I could take shots of root beer. That would be fun... Okay, sorry. Moving on to the actual question. I've seen my name spelled many different ways and, before Rachmaninoff here on OB, I've never met someone who shared my name, let alone spelled it the same way, so that's kind of neat! When I give someone my name, I'm just in the habit of spelling it regardless of whether they ask or not. If I don't, this follows. "Is it 'I-N'?" "E-N. And there's two Rs." "Oh, okay. I got it." "D-A-R-R-E-N" (That's alwasy just for clarification) "Oh, it's an 'A?' I was using an E. I'm so sorry." But the only thing worse than misspelling my first name is misspelling my middle or last name. People don't usually need my middle name, but when they do, I always tell them. And to be broadcast all across OB, it's Kenlee. (It's a mix of my two grandfather's names) I understand that it's pronounced the same way as a Keniley, an uncommon girl's name. (I know of three girls to have that name. One is even my 2nd cousin) So when someone tries to spell it, they immediately think that my parents were dumb enough to give me a girl's name! And so it always comes out either "Keniley" or "Kenniley" or "Kenilee" But now the really sad one: Last name is File... Seriously, like a file as in reference to computer files or a filing cabinet, whatever... I understand that most names can be spelle different ways, but after reading the majority of this thread, I see that it's better to just assume the easy way and 3 out of 4 times, you'll be right. Maybe more. Even so, people still spell my name Phile, Phyle, Fyle, ect... In fact, it did used to be Phyle, but one of my great great great (however many generations back) changed it when he moved here from Germany... I guess he did it to be simpler for the Amricans, but now, if I could go back in time, I would slap him. Curse him for causing so much confusion to the simpletons of modern day!
20. 1)Every Day. Sometimes I have a 2nd lunch. My metabolism moves so fast that if I don't have at least three square meals a day, plus a bunch of snacks, then I'll die!!!! It usually consists of a can opener and a microwave oven. Most usually Spagettios or raviolli. But on the days I'm feeling like something different, but am low on cash, I just go to subway where I can get the sandwich but pay at a later time. Also, every day I work at subway, I get a free 6" with chips. Plus, a drink with as many free refills as I want and all the delicious subway cookies I can consume (as long as there's plenty left over for the customers) 2) Subway Pizza Sandwich. I don't know if all Subways have it, but it's six pieces of pepperoni and then I top it with motzerella cheeze and toast it in the oven for 25 seconds. After that, I add veggies if I feel like it. When I feel like a meat lovers style pizza, I put sausage on. (Because our subway started a breakfast thing so we alwasy have sausage) Today, I felt like a supremem pizza sub, so I put green peppers, onions, and olives on there... 3) Nope, but I'm positive that I'll be eating Subway on the days I work... I guess that counts. Mostly it's a 'fend for yourself' enviorenment at my house during lunch. My parents have a week long schedule of meals to eat for dinner, but I don't guess that counts except when we have leftovers and I eat that for lunch the next day... 4) Not unless you count every lunch I have at school or work. Dates are for dinners... It's just so traditional, why change it? But the halfway dates I have for lunch with friends and co-workers usually end with someone saying something extremley sexual or gross or both, after which everyone gets up and leaves regardless of whether they've finished or not. Seriously, it's a tradition; I've never finished my lunch at school in six years. (maybe that's why I'm so hungry come dinner time.)
21. Well, since this is the first summer I've had with a vehicle, I'm kind of happy that I won't be having a vacation this summer. My family ususally takes one each year or every other year. (I went to New York City in '02, London and Paris in '04, and a cruise to Calica and Cozumel in '05) So for this year, I think I'll just work a lot, save up some money, so I can rent a bunch of movies. (or watch them in theatres. I know I want to see Transoformers, Fantastic 4, Harry Potter 5, The Invisible, ect.) My friend owns this huge canyon out in the country and it's got tons of cabins and caves nad fun stuff. He said that next time we go camping out there, we're bringing buddies, girls, and booze... *crosses fingers* and I might spend a week or two with my friend who lives a couple hours away or even with my cousin in KS. (or she might stay with me, IDK) But at the end of summer, I'm going to California. It will the most western sate I've ever been to, (passing Colorado by a long shot) and since I want to go to college at UCLA, it will be tons of fun. We're actually going because my bro's graduating from the marines on August 18. But we'll leave that Monday night and drive a full 24 hours to L.A. We'll spend Wednesday and Thursday in L.A. (It's mostly because my parents want to be on "The Price is Right" They're so embarrassing) Then, on Friday, we'll go and visit Hollywood. On Saturday, we'll head down to San Diego and watch his graduation, and then we'll come back Saturday afternoon and drive for 24 hours back home before I go back to school the next day. Crazy right? The best part is that I get to miss the first two days of school! Other than the end of summer, mine will be pretty much work, movies, maybe camping... Nothing big.
22. Well I work at Subway *eat fresh* as a "Professional Sandwich Artist." (seriously, that's what the ad in the paper said.) And I have this one co-worker who's a sophomore and started just before I did. She's not very bright, but not stupid enough to be considered mentally ill; a ditz, if you will. (ha, that rhymed) So one day, this customer walks in, orders a sandwich, and I call for her, (cuz she was in the back and she needed to do the veggies) and all she did was stand there and stare at me... Our boss told us that we should never discuss individual jobs in front of customers, (I guess because it makes us seem like we aren't prepared to make their sandwich on the spot and God knows how customers hate waiting) so I simply point to the box of gloves while I put the man's sandwich in the toaster... I don't know where the girl got this, but I guess she thought I was pointing to the word "Rubber" because the box says rubber poly-somethingoranother gloves. And she turns to me and says, "Yes: Rubber... Are you asking me what I think you're asking me?" I'm still not sure what she was thinking of, but I'm sure it had something to do with sex. I was completely embarrassed and the customer looked confused and mad at the same time. I ended up doing the veggies and needless to say, I requested not to be put on the schedule with her ever again.
23. I'll give this a shot, but I do have a question about how long it will last... Surely you don't intend for a tournament to last as long as a full-length RP because I just don't have the time for that right now... But I'm willing to let mine die if I get too busy, (if that's the extreme you were looking for in "losing") I'm going to throw one out there. Here's a picture of him. (I'm not that great of an artist, so I'm going to provide an extended description.) Name: Hikaru Han (Left) Age: 19 Appearance: Typical kimono-style top with protective underlining. Green Pants. Orange Scarf. Has guards over his forearms made of bamboo. His eyes are green and his hair is brown. wears a brown strap over his shoulder which harnesses his three summoning scrolls, and also bears the symbol of the village hidden in the rocks. He specializes in Taijutsu, but any other tecniques he knows of genjutsu or ninjutsu are extremely powerful. Rank: Jonin Kekkei Genkai or self-designed jutsu: (Keep in mind, none of these are self-designed except for the summon. These are just his most commonly used, but there are still the more simple and basic tecniques.) NINJUTSU Twin Rising Dragons Tecnique: A variation on the normal Projectile Weapons summoning, this jutsu uses two of Hikaru's weapon scrolls to summon twice as many weapons. As a distraction, the scrolls emit a large smokescreen when activated, after which the scrolls shoot into the air concealed by two smoke dragons. The dragons circle around each other after reaching a certain height. Hikaru then jumps into the middle of the scrolls and summons all manner of weaponry to throw at his opponent. He can also use strings to lift and rethrow the weapons if he misses. Dance of the Crescent Moon: Typically a sword technique, Hikaru uses a bamboo staff in which he creates two clones that attack simultaneously to confuse the opponent. Ephemeral Vengeance: This jutsu uses a large amount of chakra to create four firefly-like chakra wings on Hikaru's back. For the duration of the jutsu, Hikaru can fly and even teleport. Its main purpose is to create a single, massive blast of chakra to kill an opponent with. Summoning: Earth Release - Keikuma (Panda Family): With this Jutsu, Hikaru uses his other summoning scroll to bring forth Kaikuma, a six foot tall panda bear clad in feudal samurai aromor and a katana. Kaikuma aids Hikaru in all aspects of battle and is able to grow an entire forest in mere seconds. GENJUTSU Demonic Illusion: Tree Bind Death:With this jutsu, Hikaru can make himslef disappear, allowing him to approach his target unnoticed. Once completed, a tree and roots will grow at the target's feet and restrict their movements. Once the opponent believes that they are captured, Hikaru can then appear above their opponent from the tree's trunk and kill the target. In addition to the disappearing and tree-growing effects of the jutsu, Hikaru can produce flowers, seedpods, vines, and multiple trees. Temple of Nirvana Tecnique: This jutsu causes everyone within a specific area to fall into a deep sleep. From the target's point of view, it seems as if feathers are falling from the sky, which serves as a distraction to allow the jutsu to take effect. TAIJUTSU (Too much of a pain to describe each one. Descriptions will come in the story when Hikaru uses them) Styles Achiever of Nirvana Fist Strong Fist Attacks Weapon: Circular Battle Attack Leaf Great Whilrwind Shadow of the Dancing Leaf Lion Combo Peregrine Falcon Drop Dynamic Entry Leaf Ferris Wheel Bio: After becoming a Jonin, Hikaru became the personal body guard to the Tsuchikage. One day, the kage prescribed him to attempt the Sannin tournament. He didn't believe that Hikaru had much of a chance, but as a final task to complete before becoming the next Tsuchikage, the reluctant Hikaru joined the tournament at his master's request.
24.
Oh, Darren, thank you so[/I'] much for not posting about Three. I was incredibly worried there for a second, especially since I took my time with the playing of my card. From now on, I shall abandon invisibility when posting in the game thread. It caused minor confusion once before, I think, and I fain would have it again.
Hey, no problem... But I was tempted since three is still not being used much. I just figured that to bide my time, I would play with one of the prisoners. Anyway, with your post out of the way, it seems only BK and HellsMinion are left to kill, and unless anyone else has a duel death card, it looks like 12 will be leaving in round 1. (due to the deletion of Premonition) I wonder if anyone will be eliminatied in Round 1? Oh wait, I know DB said that you could keep playing even if all your characters were eliminated, but if they were taken out, would you tell us they were eliminated and show us their characters, or would you just let the game continue and wait until the end? Because, personally, I'd like to know early on; I'm very impatient most of the time. (But I really have no right to talk since most of you were waiting on me during The Maze) :animesigh Here's a list! Marius Stratums Shilos Krieger Angela Godspeed Eloris Renten Lillathica Desmond Sykes Damian Legion Claire Montoya Marcus Fenix Penelope "Penny" Archess I don't feel like giving all of those in 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well as the imprisoned. Just refer back to Rach's list and take Penny out of it... But I will give you a release date for both of the imprisoned. Thanks to Allamorph for that bit, because I know I wouldn't calculate it; I'm too lazy. I'm just happy that we're in the same time zone: Brittany Cossentine: 3:55 pm Today US CST Nadia Dylenda: 5:06 pm Thursday US CST
Alright alright, time to put the hostility and tension behind us and move on once I've commited my murder later on today, hehe. However as Beth has probably found out, throwing popcorn is quite the therapeutic activity, so if anyone needs to bring themselves down a few notches, jus toss some Orville Redenbacher at our good friend Sandy :).
Will do! *Throws popcorn. And sometimes large objects* P.S. I know it was deleted on account of spam, but thanks Allamorph... Delta is great with banners, I knew I couldn't wrong by asking her. ***EDIT*** I forgot to ask, when Brittany gets released today, assuming that she survives, who posts her release? Will Indifference do it or will we have to? Also, when she is released, does she automatically go back to group two or can she be transported to another group or even all by herself?
25. Brittany Cossentine was huddled in the corner, praying to God that she would make it. Well, she as close to the corner as she could get, given that the spikes coming out of the walls would easily pierce her skin. Pain and fear were taking hold and Brittany hadn't been able to stop crying since she had arrived in this terrible room, resulting in her eyes practically swollen shut and an even more serious case of dehydration. Only a few more hours... She told herself. But as she had learned since her time in the room, even 10 minutes seemed to last an eternity. The room seemed to slow down as well, not wanting to actually kill her but simply to torture her until no end. The room realized that she wasn't moving as fast and so to compensate, it allowed her to get a little closer to the walls than before, it closed a few of the pits, and the electricity was coming down at slower intervals. This was a good sign to Brittany, but she didn't know that the room was designed to fit her stamina; when she got tired, the room accompanied her to remain equally harsh. Brittany had faced several direct hits from the electricity, and she could already tell that her joints and muscles were deteriorating. Even if she made it out of this entire place, there's no way she would ever move normally again. Her skin was so fried in some parts that it was actually peeling off. She had even almost fallen into the pits, escaping by just the tips of her fingers being able to hold her up. Brittany was grateful that she had fallen in earlier instead of now because she wan't strong enough to even move. Another electricty bolt shot out of the cieling and made a direct hit on her thigh. She screamed out in pain as it continued damaging her nerves and muscles. She began crawling, in too much pain to actually get up and walk, to the other side of the room and into another corner. She hoped that she would have the strength to make it to another corner because she felt very tired and knew that she would probably not wake up if closed her eyes for too long. She wasn't sure what type of snakes were in the bottom of the pit, but she was sure they were poisonous. This room seemed to be made of everything she hated, and poisonous snakes definately topped the list. Just... a few... more hours... she told her self as she inched across the floor, watching the countdown move ever so slowly. Tears were still running down her face.
