Emilia began walking in a random direction. She didn't care much, but she didn't like to be in one place for too long. Except for the futuristic Earth, where she spent almost a year. She didn't look back to see if Adam was following. He was a big boy; didn't need looking after. "Do you know where you're going?" He asked, catching up with her pace. "No. What gives it away? The American accent?" "Well, there's that and the fact that you're going in the wrong direction." He said. "Right. Well, you lead the way then." Maybe it was Emilia who needed looking after. At least in London. As they turned around, Emilia pulled out N.E.D., a handheld computer and one of her gadgets she got from her time on the future Earth. "N.E.D., I need you to create a new file for this reality." She told the computer It came to life with a blur of lights and buzzing noises. "Command received. Creating 'Reality #8' file. Downloading planet History. Wait time... six hours." She sighed at the thought of having to wait that long. If anything, it would certainly prevent her from finding out anything about the planet any time soon. "So, you've only been to seven realities before this one, huh?" Adam asked. Emilia guessed it was simply an ice-breaker. After all, she was the most recent member to join the group of planetary wanderers. And she figured that, as the unofficial leader of the group, he was just trying to get to know her. "Yeah." She replied. Blunt. Straight to the point. "And how old were you when our reality died?" "20." It was a fair question. Time moved at different paces in different realities, so for some of the travelers, very little time had passed by since the catastrophe, but for Emilia, she had been dealing with her new life for four years. "So, seven realities in four years? You don't travel much do you? Adam pried. "On the contrary. I was on six of those for no more than than a few months at at time." She wasn't annoyed with his questions, but she knew what his next question would be, and she really didn't want to go there. Not now, at least. So, Emilia changed the subject really quick. "Where are we going?" "Don't worry, it's just up ahead. There should be a lot of people this time of day." he said, completely blowing off the question. Then, "So you stayed in one reality for quite some time then? Why?" I knew it, she thought. After a considerable amount of silence, she sighed and said, "Story for another time. I see people up there." She picked up her pace a bit, putting some distance between her and Adam. Again, she didn't look to see if he was following. He can take care of himself.

Just posting here to let you know that I'm excited for the RP. I hope that lack of activity right now doesn't discourage anyone because I've noticed that, with it being summer and all, a lot of people simply aren't visiting the boards as much... But it will pick up. In fact, I plan to have my post up sometime today or tomorrow.

Name: Emilia Rosen Age: 24 Gender: Female Appearance: Emilia Emilia stands at 5'8" and holds a very authoritative presence. She has long brown hair and piercing green eyes. Her slender figure generally misleads strangers; she's a lot stronger than she looks. Emilia is usually seen with her hair down. (if you ever see it up in a ponytail, she's pissed off) She wears very simple clothes. Converse, jeans, plain blouse, and sometimes a black leather jacket. Personality: Emilia could probably be described as the girl-next-door type. She's daring, adventurous, and many mens' idea of the perfect woman. She's a very social person, making friends with just about anyone. She doesn't like most women because she feels they act too emotional. (Although, even Emilia has her bitchy moments) Growing up as the only daughter of a single father, Emilia is very closed-off when it comes to her feelings and she doesn't really feel a genuine connection to many of the people in her group. She travels simply because she has nothing better to do. After losing her fiance due to the cataclysmic event, Emilia is a bit cold sometimes. This is further complicated due the sheer amount of death she's seen and she's convinced herself that it must somehow be her fault. This isn't to say Emilia can't be a warm person; she just doesn't open up to many people. Special Skills: Emilia didn't really have any special skills that she was aware of before the tragedy, but has since learned of her ability to blend in anywhere. While traveling, she has developed a survival instinct from being thrown into several deadly situations. She's able to improvise, almost without thinking, in order to get out alive. After visiting a planet where she was temporarily a police officer, Emilia discovered that she's a really good aim. Certainly not good enough to be considered a markswoman, but her accuracy with a gun is pretty good considering she had never touched one before that time. Weapons/Equipment: Energy Bangle CLICK Emilia picked up this nifty gadget from the first world she visited: The sand covered planet, Arelia. This reality was covered with carnivorous beasts that live in the desert. The people of the Arelia developed this bangle to combat the beasts. When worn, a single punch from a fully charged bangle, could destroy a creature as large as a building. However, it takes quite a while to charge and must be in the presence of flora to charge. Ray Gun CLICK Emilia Received this gun from her time as a police officer in a futuristic Earth. It is formatted to her DNA, and will shock anyone else to attempts to fire it. It comes with three settings: Stun, Pierce, and Kill. The gun recharges rather quickly on solar energy and Emilia has never experienced a shortage of ammo. However, if she fires the gun in a single laser for too long, it will overheat temporarily. N.E.D. CLICK Standard issue for all police officers of the futuristic Earth. A small personal computer. It's handheld, with a built-in AI and holographic capabilities. Because the future Earth was exposed to aliens on a regular basis, N.E.D. features a unique operating system which synchronizes with any technology that may exist in a certain world, instantly downloading as much information as possible to provide building blueprints, local fauna, national landmarks, schematics, important historical events, form of currency, local languages, etc. (N.E.D. comes built with a translator designed to instantly recognize a language, even it's never been heard previously.) Emilia likes to read as much information about the realities in her spare time. N.E.D. is solar powered. Light Orb CLICK On the planet of Noir, shrouded in complete darkness, the people developed these special tools to compensate for the lack of sunlight. Cities and farms possess massive light orbs in a light house type of building, while each individual also possesses their own hand-held light orb. The light emitted allows plant life to grow and it never seems to run out of power. It's limitations and restrictions are still unknown to Emilia. Protection Ward CLICK Constant meteor showers threatened the survival of this reality, in which the moon, Lunos, is habitable and Earth is not. The people of Lunos developed these protection wards and placed them all over the moon's surface. When a large object approaches the protection ward, it generates a forcefield that disintegrates the opposing object. Writing Snippet: Emilia landed flat on her back, completely disoriented. Her head was swimming and her stomach felt like it had been doing somersaults. She could still feel a resonating pain in her entire body, and not just from her landing, but from something else. She tried to think back, but could only remember darkness and pain. Fear sparked when she noticed a completely blue sky above. (It was raining just before everything went dark) She wondered if she had been unconscious for quite some time, but that wouldn't explain the uncomfortable heat or the sand in her hair. Emilia couldn't stand because her body felt too shaky, but she managed to survey the environment. She seemed to be laying in a desert. But why am I here? She thought. Just then she heard a voice from behind her. Oy! Get outta there! The man bellowed, but Emilia just wanted to pass out for a good eternity. In fact, she probably would have done so if she hadn't caught the last part of his sentence, "You're gonna get yourself killed, layin' out there!" Just then, Emilia felt something from below her. It was directly underneath her, but more like the presence of something close by. She lifted her head half-heartedly to see a large wave of sand approaching her very quickly. There seemed to be a low grumbling noise coming from whatever was in the wave, but Emilia decided that it was time to run. She leapt to her feet, fighting the dizziness, and started to run. She had never been a good runner and the sand mounds made it a lot harder to move. She knew that the creature was closing in and soon she would return to that black abyss of pain, and fear, and nothing... She finally reached the man, and he yelled something about her waiting for him on the stone, but she couldn't make it out due to the apparent screeching of some sort of monster in the sand. Emilia wondered what the man could possibly do to stop it and that's when she saw it: A giant worm-like creature, with what looked like fins, burst out of the sand. It had a several hundred rows of teeth and Emilia figured it could probably swallow her whole. The creature dove for the man, but he didn't move. Instead, he flexed his arm and swung with great gusto behind his punch. His fist landed right on the creatures eyes, or what Emilia thought were it's eyes. (If it even had eyes) The next thing she knew, the creature was in 20 different pieces and Emilia was covered in a disgusting green goo. "Alright there?" The man asked, approaching Emilia. "Fine. Thank you." She said, a little unsure of herself. Then, "Would you mind telling me what that thing was, how you killed it, and where we are?" She didn't mean to sound so mean or demanding, but the man seemed to understand: "That was a worm, for lack of a better word. I killed it with this here bangle," he said holding up his arm so she could see an elaborate bracelet around his wrist, "And how do ya not know where y'are? Did ya bump your head out there?" He asked. When she didn't respond for quite some time, The man said, "Name's Linus. What's yours?" "Emilia" she said. At this point, she was only looking at her feet. "Well Emilia, it's a pleasure to meet ya. This land here is called Arelia, and if you're goin' to be stayin' here for awhile, we best get you your own energy bangle."

The Substance Thread: Substance-Induced Thoughts [M (for Mature)]
Darren replied to Mr. Maul's topic in General Discussion
Steve Jobs?
Sure! If you know him personally and don't mind to tell him for me. Thanks! -
I think the reason for that Allamorph is because people knew that the war was wrong. There was a lot of support for the war until we invaded Iraq. That's when people really got critical of Bush But the debate on gay rights has been around for quite some time, so it's not like anybody really expects Obama to be able to accomplish something in a few months. As for me: I don't think much will change with Obama in office. At least not with his recently published views on DOMA, but that's just me. Really, I don't even care since I don't plan on getting married anyway.

The Substance Thread: Substance-Induced Thoughts [M (for Mature)]
Darren replied to Mr. Maul's topic in General Discussion
Drunk right now. Just commented on a thread that I probably wouldn't have paid attention to if I were sober. That's about the extent of it. And my grammar isn't so bad even without spell check, but thank someone for macs! Funny story though: I'm turning 19 on Friday, but I went to a bar tonight and they just started serving me alcohol without even carding me. Made my night. Can't wait to turn 21. -
No comment on Bruno Milk: Of course it got the message out even if the movie didn't portray his life properly. To a straight audience, (And I know, it's hard to believe straight people watch movies about gay men. But man, I swear they'll watch anything that's academy award nominated. At least my family does) this movie was very informative and eye-opening In response to the quote: When a president promises something, it's actually best to believe that he won't do it. That way, you don't get your hopes up and you're really excited if he does come through on the promise. I found a website not too long ago that has a list of all of Obama's promises that he hasn't come through/changed his opinion on since being in office. It's quite humorous actually.

It's been over a year. I would just like to post up this thread again, reminding everyone of the creation of The Abyss, the 5th installment to the Death Card Series created by Sandy. I don't know how many new members will look at this or how many older members will know what the death card series is. Feel free to click on the names of former death card series below and it will take you to the main thread. I think I've summed it up in the sign-up thread. I've changed some of my ideas from the last time I tried to create this RP. So now, all I need is a few participants. (or victims) The Labyrinth created by: Sandy Winner: SunfallE The Maze created by: Rachmaninoff Winner: Indifference The Panopticon created by: 2009 Digital Boy Winner: BKStyles The Ragnarok created by: Sandy Winner: Rachmaninoff Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. DISCLAIMER: I was bored today, browsing the interwebz and looking at some of my old posts when this came to light. It's been over a year since anything from this series was made. So I thought I would give it another go-round, seeing that I've been so close before, but last minute difficulties interrupted me from starting it. I'm confident that OB has seen a significant number of new and upcoming RPers, and I hope that I can finally start this damn thing. Please, if you foresee any complications in the near future that would prevent you from signing up, don't. I only want dedicated Role Players. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the remnants of the Panopticon imploded in a beautiful display of colors, the ESP programs rendering all of their powers to the universe, It’s sister project several light years away, was preparing for its very first test run. Interruption Program… 100% Slaughter System… Online Preservation System… Online Genetics Program… Initiating Darkness. . . Awaiting Transport … “Is everything ready?” Matthew asked as he entered the office. It contained innumerable television screens portraying gruesome scenes of rape, violence, murder, and death. Matthew had seen several of them before, but it was impossible to see all of it in a lifetime. There was simply too much brutality. “The Abyss is running its final programming.” The reply came quickly, startling Matthew. The man inside the office stood along a section of monitors, all of which seemed to be playing a rape scene. Matthew recognized one of them as Katar Dakit and Lucia Travera. Of course the actual rape never occured, but his motives seemed to be enough to classify him as a rapist. “Make no mistake about this program,” the man’s deep voice continued, “As the leader of this new project, any success and…” He paused for the full effect, “…Failure fall on your head. “Never before has there been a monitoring system like the ones you have employed. Are you sure this is going to work?” “No,” Matthew replied after some time. “But I believe that the other programs failed because there was some aspect missing.” “It’s true,” The man said, still staring at his TV screens, taking in all the violence. He was unnervingly calm, “Not one run-through of our prior tests has managed to prevent the disaster the SEER has predicted.” He wasn’t telling the Matthew anything new, but rather stating the dire situation that the universe was supposedly in and reiterating how much The Abyss needed to be successful. “In fact, enlightening Davis had the reverse effect, making the disaster even more imminent.” It took Matthew a while to figure out exactly which Davis he was talking about. But then the Name Davis Henderson registered and he recalled that this man was responsible for the self-destruction of The Maze. “But sir, The Maze wasn’t intended for prevention, only preservation. I can hardly see what that has to do with the future.” He put emphasis on the last word, not completely convinced that there ever really would be a “disaster.” “Yes. And the Labyrinth wasn’t intended to be turned into a United Galactic Program. But it seems that all good ideas these days come from terrorists.” The Man laughed a bit at his own joke. “I understand the severity of the situation,” Matthew replied, returning to the serious air from before. However, Matthew had never seen the man so upset at just a prospective experiment. It only made him even more nervous. “And you’re sure you wish to proceed?” It was a little late to be turning back, but Matthew knew it as a test of confidence. “I am.” “And you’re sure of your choices for the monitoring system?” He asked. The Interruption Beam was at 100% meaning that the onlookers were already functioning and, that it too, was unable to be changed. “I am.” “Very well. Inform the staff that we’ll begin the countdown to initiation in two hours. After that, it’s all in your hands, Mr. Thomas.” Matthew Thomas exited the office filled with TV screens of past subjects, excited that his project was about to begin, but worried of what might occur if something goes wrong. If there was one tiny factor that he’d forgotten to take into account, it could all fail, and Matthew would most likely be killed. But what was presently on his mind was his contact, Al, who was waiting in the club to hear the good news. If everything went according to plan, Matthew and Al would have a nice stack of money to start over. He picked up his inter-wav and stated Al’s name before small buzzing noise occurred as the signal connected. Seconds later, Al’s elderly face was on the small holographic screen that the inter-wav projected. “Tell me you have good news.” Al’s rough voice, although plagued with throat cancer, still demanded respect from even Matthew, who was quite higher on the social ladder. “The Countdown begins in two hours,” a wide grin spread across his face, matching the one that Al displayed, “Are the investors there?” “134 and 612 are here. I’m still waiting on the others.” Al replied in between coughs. “What about you?” “I’m headed to the complex as we speak to meet and greet the onlookers.” “Good luck to you, then. I’m glad I only have to deal with the nice ones.” Al laughed at the word nice, before thrown into a fit of coughing. Humor was never kind to the old man, and it was such a shame that a cure for cancer hadn’t been discovered. It was even more of a shame that the SEER showed one of the test subjects some years ago had to potential of finding a cure but was killed during a run-through. “Yeah right,” Matthew knew in his heart that no matter how many died, the future was just as unclear as it was 2000 years ago. The SEER was a fraud, and he was determined to see its predictions fail. Lucky for it, the SEER miraculously made predictions only on the subjects who died during run-throughs. And even then, the predictions were made after they had been killed. “Good luck to both of us.” Matthew finished before turning off the inter-wav device. Then, after informing the crew of The Abyss, he stepped onto the transport vehicle and took off towards the complex where everything would unfold. Welcome, all, to the sign-ups for the fifth installment of Sandy’s “Death Card” series, The Abyss. Don’t know what that is? Don’t worry, I’ll brief you. Unlike most RPGs, the Abyss is a competition of strategy and wit. There can only be one winner, and it’s a long but fun process. Here’s the mechanics. There are a number of characters that will be at your disposal. (Two of which will be your own) The owners of these characters will remain a secret to everyone but the owner. Your job is to kill off everyone else’s characters and be the last one standing. How do you do this? Simple: with a death card. During each round, players will receive death cards, (or a number of other possible cards, which will remain unknown and will be explained when they are introduced) Once you have reached the requirements of the round, then you can use your card. (For example: In round 1, everyone must make at least one introductory post before any killing can occur) How exactly do you post the death? Just like this: That means the character is killed. And there you have it. That’s how you play. Once the twists are revealed, the game becomes even more interesting and difficult at the same time. So be prepared. And now, on to… The Sign-Ups All I require is that you post in this thread first to show interest, and I’ll be able to see how many are planning on signing up, so I can wait for all the PMs to come in. After you’ve done that, please PM me with two 100X100 animated avatars to act as your characters. (You can see my example above, but I require one male and one female) With your avatars, I will need the following information (Also via PM): Name: Anything you want. Age: This can be just about anything depending on the race of your character. (Obviously if they’re human, it should be reasonable. However, if you have a ninety year-old woman or a toddler, don’t be surprised if they go first) Gender: There’s only two genders… Just because you invent a race of people doesn’t mean you can invent a new gender as a loophole to the rules) Race/Origin: Human, Centaur, Sphinx, or some personal creature directly from your mind. Just about anything works. Origin includes both their home planet (which can be made up) and the time period they are coming from. (Past, present, or future, it doesn’t matter) Occupation: Anything you want. (Keep in mind, I have the right to edit any of the information you provide me in order to better suit the style of sign-ups and to avoid any contradictions) Now, you might be asking yourself, ‘Why isn’t there a spot for personality?’ And the answer is quite simple: Because you don’t develop the personality; your competition does. One of the key aspects to the Death Card game is manipulation. Because every character is a secret to the players, it’s all about strategy in how you use the characters. Perhaps you could make one of them a murderer or a rapist. It’s all up to you. And as their personality develops, (or doesn’t develop which has been the case with some) it will sway people to like or dislike that character. Obviously, everyone needs to die except your own, but based on how you post could determine how soon a character dies or even how long it lives. OUTLAST the competition. WIN the game. So, here’s where it all starts. Feel free to post in this thread to show interest or ask any questions before sending in your avatars.

I Forgot What You People Look Like (Image Heavy)

I haven't posted here in what seems like forever... So, I'll just give a few updates. 1st, I've decided. Vicky, if I ever meet you, you're going to be my hairstylist This is me at Invisible Children's "Rescue" event. I was caught unawares, but I like it. But speaking of A-Kon: A-Kon #1 This is me and some of my friends before the rave. Mostly, I uploaded this one because... Well, I mean, how could I not? Booty dancing is my favorite thing to do. (And again, I love the goofy faces. Although, this one was unintentional. I scares me to know I make this kind of face when I dance. I feel sorry for anyone who had to look at me) P.S. I just realized I was the 777th reply. Bow down to me! -
Seriously? I think you're just making these up now...

Actually yes, Captain_Aidoru. You're about five years too late for this RPG. As you can see, above Artmasta's opening post, this sign-up was created back in May of 2004. Here on Otakuboards, a good rule of thumb is to only search for sign-ups on the first page of the auditions page. [CLICK FOR AUDITIONS] But don't worry. There are several RP sign-ups that are current. And if you're not satisfied with any of them, you can always create an RP of your own for others to join. However, before you proceed, I would recommend going over the rules first: [LINK 1] [LINK 2] I look forward to seeing you in Otakuboards' future RPGs! Have fun Thread closed

I just wanted to post here and say that I'm definitely up to judging, and if this is okay with Omega, I wanted to add a little bit more to what I'm personally looking for in your posts. In addition to what Omega has said, (which I had already figured as a given) creativity, which falls into keeping the reader interested, is extremely important. Not only that, I want you to accurately portray the environment. Omega gave each of you a general skeleton of the battlefield, but feel free to invent and expand upon those. (Without godmodding of course) Also, I want character development. Even if these characters have no reason to be fighting, (since technically, they were just born) they believe they're fighting for a reason. I want to see their conviction, their quirks, their fears, their weaknesses, their insecurities, etc. Lastly, balance is a good thing to keep in mind. Don't be afraid to hurt the opponent character in your post. Just make sure that the opponent character hurts you back. If it's all dialogue and no action, I will show no mercy when I vote for the other person. And with that, I'm out.

If I remember correctly, there was a statement released that showed Oklahoma was the only state in the U.S. that saw an increase in smokers after 2007. All the rest went down... But I wonder how much that's actually changed since the tax increase... I'm not worried about it. The increase brought my brand up to 6.10, but the store clerk flirts with me and gives them to me for the old price of 5.75. (I don't complain, and he'll probably get in trouble, but it's not my problem) Of course 6.10 still isn't that bad... I usually have enough money, and if I don't, I just smoke less until my check comes in. However, I will quit if they ever go above 7.00. That's where I draw the line. Gotta have your principles... Yeah

Hi, Sayaword and welcome to OtakuBoards. I'm very happy that you've ventured into the Theatre forum filled with many RPGs. However, I'm afraid that this thread has been dead since 2002. Success! Sorry, it's a little long and boring and pointless. You won't miss anything if you don't read it. (Except for James and Aaryanna. You only need to read the very last part of it...) I was just trying to tie everything all together since I've been gone for soooo long! Anyway, if there's anything wrong with it, just let me know, and I'll change it.

Liana sat quietly behind her counter at what she though had to be the most boring job in all of LeMonde. Bijoux, the antique jewelry store she worked for part-time, hadn't seen a single customer all day. Liana was so bored, she actually felt the urge to open up one of her textbooks and do homework. She pushed the thought away quickly. For one, prudence wasn't her style, but also, her rather harsh manager was watching her like a hawk to make sure she didn't slack off. Liana took the glare she was giving her as a clue to polish the jewels for umpteenth time! She sighed, opening the cabinet and pulling out a random piece of jewelry. Her mind drifted to the beautiful wedding and the amazing people she had met. If only I were born into such a fabulous family... Guilt overtook her as she thought back to Marcel. Her adoptive grandfather had taken her in and given his entire life to raise her. Perhaps Marcel was right when he said the reason she doesn't have friends was because she doesn't allow for them. ----- "How did you like the wedding, dear?" he asked upon arrival back at their home. "It was lovely," She paused, thinking of how to put it delicately, "Although the Almagests seemed a bit eccentric." "I tried to warn you," he laughed through sips of bourbon. "They're not all bad though. I really liked Victoria Ann. I only wish I was able to make friends like her at Lumière... She sighed. "Don't let a little thing like distance intervene." He said, standing up from the desk in his office to approach her. He led her over to a set of comfy leather chairs by a fireplace and had her sit across from him. "I know it's been very difficult for you. Me and your grandmother, before she passed, are all you've ever known. And maybe it's our fault for thinking we could raise a child--" "Don't be silly!" Liana interrupted him, "You've been great. And I would never have traded my life for anything." "I'm glad to hear you say that." He said, finishing off the bourbon. "But look here: Ever since your grandmother passed away, I've seen you slowly recoil into Bijoux, Lumière, and even Silverworks. You spend less time with your friends than you did before and you've occupied yourself with nothing but work." Liana frowned and stared at her feet. "Don't make the same mistake I did, Liana. I thought of nothing but my future in the company. I even put it before your grandmother, and not a day goes by that I don't blame myself for her death. If only I could have been there..." He paused. Liana figured he was trying to think of something else to avoid crying. After clearing his throat, he continued, "I see that you're doing the same thing. You need not worry about me. I'm fine working at Silverworks. Even though I love seeing you at the office every chance you get, you don't need to worry. I think you'll have this company under your thumb before you turn 20. Because you're so passionate like me." Liana smiled, still looking at her feet. Marcel pulled her chin up to make eye contact with him. His eyes were full of light, despite his age. Liana knew he was right in his assessment of Silverworks. He didn't have much time left in him, and that thought tore her up inside. "You need to promise me one thing." Marcel said quietly, wiping away Liana's tears. "Promise me that you'll go to the Grimoire fashion show tomorrow with Gustave and Victoria." "But grandfather, I'm supposed to work in Silverworks tomorrow. There's still so much that needs to be done. We're several months behind on our --" "No excuses. Silverworks isn't your job just yet. I'm more than capable of handling it all myself." He said with a booming confidence she hadn't heard since her grandmother died. "Your job is to live your life to the fullest, so that when I'm not here--" "Grandfather--" Liana interjected. She hated hearing of Marcel talking about his death. "No. Let me finish. I want to know that when I die, you'll be taken care of. That's how you will make me happy." There was a long silence. Marcel was still holding her chin, and she looked into those big brown eyes of his and tried to push away the thought of his death. She agreed to go to the fashion show and then Marcel said, "Good. Now, you'd better be going. You need to get to Bijoux for work." ----- "Liana!" her manager scolded her. She came to, looking up to see a customer had just walked in. She put her jewelry back in the glass case and approached the man who had walked in. "Hi. Welcome to Bijoux. Is there anything that I can help you with." "Yes," The man said rather rudely, like Liana should have known he needed her help picking out tacky antiques. "I'm looking for an anniversary present for my wife." "Well, is there any specific material or jewels that your wife is fond of." "I don't know." He replied. And how long have you been married to this woman. Liana suppressed the urge to sigh and put on the biggest fake smile possible. She got through the difficult part of helping this man. After she heard that his wife liked pink, she pointed him to a collection of some of Bijoux's finest pieces that contained pink in them. He couldn't seem to decide between a silver necklace with pink diamonds or a white gold bracelet with pink pearls and a heart shaped tag on it for inscription. He settled on the cheaper bracelet. Figures. She though. As she was going through the paperwork for inscribing the bracelet, her locket fell out of her shirt and seemed to dangle in between both of them. "Oh what is that?" the man asked. Liana quickly tucked it back into her shirt. "It's an antique silver locket I received for my birthday." she said with the happiest voice she could muster. "Not that," the man scowled, "I mean the symbols on the locket." Liana pulled the silver locket out once again and saw what he was talking about it. It's funny, she hadn't noticed those before when Marcel gave it to her. "I'm not sure," she said, completely dumbfounded that her eye for detail had completely missed them. "My wife really likes strange things." He said with disdain. As if he couldn't understand her taste. "Do you have any other jewelry in this store with those symbols." By this time, Liana's manager had come over and forcefully inspected her locket's symbols. Then she disappeared in the back for at least 20 minutes, searching for something similar. "I'm so sorry sir," She said returning with numerous pieces of jewelry that she thought looked slightly similar. In actuality, they looked nothing like the designs on Liana's locket and all three of them knew it. "How much for the locket?" he asked. "I'm sorry sir, it's not for sell." Liana was taken aback at the man's obsession with her locket. "You wouldn't want it anyway. It's broken. It doesn't open." "It doesn't matter. I'll find a way to fix it. My wife would really love it." The man pulled out his wallet, which was bulging due to the massive number of bills he had in it. Liana could feel her manager's eyes burning a whole in the back of her head. But in the end, "I'm sorry. I can't sell this to you." The man left... Without buying anything. Liana's manager sent her home for the day. She sighed, walking through LeMonde in her designer apparel and a signature bow on her blonde hair. "Stupid man." At first, she went to buy some coffee and lazily flipped through some of her textbooks for school. She didn't comprehend anything that she read, however, as her mind was constantly drifting back to the symbols. She glanced at her locket once more and then to her watch. She had time to make a stop before going home. Liana headed straight for the library. She wasn't sure if she could find anything on the symbols, but she remembered that the library had served her well for all her questions on architecture. It couldn't hurt. Upon entering the massive wooden doors, she saw Gustave and Victoria Ann emerging from one of the lower levels. They looked quite tired and a little beaten up. Liana waved and called to them. "Hey!" Victoria said with a bright smile, "What are you doing here?"

I know I've been saying that I'll post as soon as possible, but spring break and this new week back at school has been a bit more hectic than expected. If I survive this week, I'll make a post ASAP. If I don't, it's probably best to assume that the stress drove me to madness and I jumped out my window. :catgirl: But I seriously have no plan on quitting this! So don't count me out yet!

Hi there, WhoamI134! Welcome to the Otakuboards' Auditions Forum. Unfortunately, the thread you've posted in was created back in 2007 and is no longer taking sign-ups. Because it is a "dead" thread, this is what we refer to as gravedigging. In the future, if you feel you would like to join an RPG, please limit your searches to auditions that are posted on the first page only. In addition, I will send you a link to the audition rules page. Please look over it before posting again: CLICK Thanks again! -D Thread Closed

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!! I suck at life. Been so busy with school and all. But for realz, expect a post tonight! EDIT: ...And fail! (I'm working on the post right now though. Hopefully by tonight!)
Also I might as well jump in and mention that my next post is about 2/3 finished... and it's pretty long. And it includes Aaryanna's character (but not Darren's - I don't know whether he wants Liana to be included or not). So maybe Aaryanna you can post when mine is up. I only mention this now because it's fairly long and I'd hate to have to wind it back haha.
Yeah, sorry about that. I just really busy with a couple of my papers since they were due last week, go ahead and post and I'll figure something out with Liana.
Nothing at all. I don't drink, and I usually never wear green. If you do pinch me, I will punch you in the face. Or kick you in the face, either or. I never liked St. Patricks Day much, as a kid I always thought it was pointless, lol. Although I do remember having a St. Patricks Day party at school with cupcakes and other goodies, all green of course. Plus my teacher placed little clues around that a leprechaun had come.
CHIBI! I think your official OB title should be Queen of Holidays or something. Seriously, you've created like all of the holiday threads for forever now. It's crazy. And I don't own green, but if anyone pinches me, I'll punch them in the face.
I know that Malkav is going to at least get it started. And depending on where he leaves off, I'll just go from there. So as soon as that's up, I'll post as well. Though at this rate, since they know more, the Church is going to get there first. =P Also, I suspect that Fonty's headache will increase exponentially upon realizing that either Victoria or Liana must have the compass.
Yes, I would imagine... But what about Leonhart and Cole??? They won't even know who took it to begin with. Oh, this is interesting. Sorry about the delay. I'll try to have my post up by tonight.
Darren - you don't like the loft? I've never had one, but I always thought they looked spiffy, and it made more room for everything. Is this not the case? Why don't you have a roommate? =(
Oh no, I love the lofted style... I just hate having to climb up in bed every night, but I can deal. I'm very much a minimalist and I have to have everything organized, so the loft gives me a very nice space to organize without taking up a lot of room. It's great! And the roommate: Long story short, I was supposed to have one for the fall semester, but he decided not to come here. Then I was under the impression that I might get one for this semester, but I guess not... So, I the place all to myself!

Ever since my soul has been saved by "Under the Radar" magazine, I've been listening to a lot of extreme indies. (Not to mention that, since I bought tickets to Bonnaroo, I've been trying to listen to as many of the unknowns as possible in preparation for the concert) Some of them, I was already familiar with, but there are a lot of new ones that I'm equally pleased to add to my iPod... Just to name a few: Jenny Lewis Now Now Every Children Andrew Bird Zach Nichols Neko Case Every Good Boy Faded Paper Figures Bon Iver etc... These past couple of months have really been a musical awakening for me!
