1. Yep, I saw that on the news. Me and my mom just looked at each other and said in unison: "You've got to be kidding me" I can't imagine that much shoving. Although, the line at my local Target spanned the entire building and then wound up and down the parking lot. (It sure made traffic crazy too) But for my black Friday story, I was tackled by some huge woman. It was just like in the movies. There was one item left. We made eye contact and it was apparent that we both wanted the same thing. It almost turned into a sprint before she decided to trip/push me into the women's underwear section... Then she turned around and said, "Oh, I'm sorry" (like it was an accident) and without helping me up, she just grabbed the last one and walked off. Luckily for me, I found it cheaper at another place. Black Friday is BRUTAL! Never again!
 2.
Well, think this over for yourself. What I discovered over the night was that Darren is a Werewolf. So grab the torches and pitchforks because we're goin' hunting! :evil3: Lynch: Darren the Teenage Werewolf
Woah woah woah!!! Stop... I've let your little charade go on long enough Mr. Lrb. I didn't want to say anything before because I figured I would let you have the target on your back once the priest died, but Chibi, Tetra, I'm really counting on your for my survival and for the civilians to win: I'm the real investigator! At first, I figured that I would let Lrb slide with taking the title simply because I assumed he was a scared civilian. I didn't have enough to go on to accuse him of being a werewolf. And once the obvious priest, Mr. Blonde, had said he only trusted Lrb, I knew there was no point in saying it unless I wanted to be lynched. So I laid low and that's how I've survived this far. Remember how I said the last day cycle that I thought Lrb's first investigation on Drizzt was too convenient??? Well, I meant it! Only, now it's apparent that he's not a scared civilian; he's the werewolf! First night's Investigations: chibi-master (Civilian) Second night's Investigations: Tetra of sound (Civilian) So, I'm dead serious when I say that you're making a huge mistake if you want the civilians to win! It's just us three. That means Vicky and Lrb are the remaining two werewolves. Seriously, we have to take them out now, while we still have a chance! Lynch: Lrb
 3. Ever had one of those weeks, where you either just want to sleep or scream very loudly at innocent babies to make yourself feel better? (Okay, maybe not as far as screaming at babies, but definitely screaming at something) I feel like I've been stuck in a downward cycle for over a week now. Let me rant to you: I found out my significant other lied/cheated on me. Yes, we haven't really been together for that long, so the anger masked my depression for a while. I know it never would have worked out, but I just never thought I would get so wrapped up in a relationship. (This is from a guy who's never been on a real date before) So then I came home for Thanksgiving break, thinking everything would get better. My best friend decided to take my mind off things by setting me up on a blind date. I was apprehensive, but I did need the break from my family and I'm a hopeless romantic. I just want someone in my life. :animesigh Well, on Wednesday, (the day it was set for) they had to work. Then on Friday, they bailed... Then Saturday, they bailed again. And now, it's supposed to be today during the day, but I don't even know anymore. (Not to mention that I have to leave tomorrow night to go back to campus) If that wasn't bad enough, all of my friends from high school are busy except for one. I've been hanging out with her all week, but she has friends that I can't stand and I understand when she wants to hang out with them, I'm pretty much alone. The rest were away celebrating the holiday season with their families leaving me to fend for myself most of the time. (especially since my mom and dad still have to work) Then, I found out about a party on Thanksgiving night. One that I really would have liked to go to. (One where I probably would have had some fun) Unfortunately, no one told me. I'm glad too, because I later found out that my supposed friends didn't want me to come. (jerks) And then, to top it all off, I got a speeding ticket! I really do hate college, but I can't wait to go back. Now, it seems like even the little things make me want to scream at babies!!! I stubbed my toe, spilled cranberry juice on the only clean pair of jeans I have right now, and smashed my fingers in the door! So, have you ever experienced something like this? If so, talk about it so I know I'm not the only one.
 4.
Think about it, if I'm the only person who casts a vote for a different person, and that person turns out to be a werewolf, but they aren't lynched, they'll know I'm on to them and kill me!:animedepr
Or they'll know you're in the minority of those who suspect them and they won't bother.
 5. Sounds like Tetra's got it out for me... But I would seriously like to find out what Lrb discovered in his supposed investigations before I make my well-informed lynch. Seriously, think for yourself.
 6. :animedepr I recede all comments defending Ace... But that doesn't mean I'm still not suspecting Tetra. Time for the night cycle.
 7.
I'm sort of on the hunt for some good romance songs, but I'm no real music whiz. I like everything, mainstream included, but here are some of my favorite love songs: - Hold You in My Arms by Ray LaMontagne - Slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer - Engine Driver by The Decemberists - The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice - Run by The Snow Patrol - I Can Feel a Hot One by Manchester Orchestra (er...don't really know if this counts as 'romance' lol) - Dancing by Elisa - Your Song from Moulin Rouge - Forever by Chris Brown Those were completely off the top of my head, but I guess it will give people a sense of what I like. Or just list your favorites, whatever, anything that'll get me listening to new stuff.
Strange... Except for the last two (and the Manchester Orchestra one) You pretty much named all of them. If not the exact song, then the artists responsible for the song. I would post them again, but your list is too perfect and I don't want to muck it up.
 8. Well now, I don't want to pull a Tetra and start freaking out now that someone has directly mentioned me in their suspicions... "Oh noz. The end of ze wurlds!!!" (just kidding) But yes, thank you Mr. Blonde for putting a huge target on my and Vicky's back! (although I can't really speak for her) Did you ever think that maybe the werewolves will keep me alive to divert attention??? Dang you... I would do the same to you, but I'm a nice person. (AKA: CIVILIAN) :p If that's not a hint, I don't know what is. And actually, I'm curious as to how you came to your conclusion that we're the three werewolves... As far as I can tell, the only thing we have in common is that we voted the same way, and if that's the extent of your deductive logic, than I can easily call any combination of the four of you that voted for Ace. :animesigh Explain yourself!!! Please? :animesmil
 9.
Guys can we keep the OOCness in this to a minimum please ? If it doesn't directly involve the game itself discussion needs to be confined to PMs, IMs or just not posted here. I'm going to try to avoid posting here if possible given I'm not a participant but I do keep a regular eye on this and I don't want to have to step in further than this one warning.
I was under the impression, Gavin, that it was part of the game. I thought we were supposed to make idle banter in addition to our strategies and voting habits. Not to mention that Sephiroth asked us not to communicate via PM unless we're werewolves... I'm confused.
 10.
I think everyone should vote one more time, because people seem to be changing their minds quite often.
Nah. Other than Tetra's little confusion at the beginning to vote for me, you and Chibi are the only one's who have changed your minds. :p And I don't know Mr. Blonde. Whenever I play mafia, I get some pretty deep players who even go as far as to sacrifice one of their own to send out confusion. One particular scenario, which is the source for my doubt against Lrb, one of the mafia came out as the detective early on and started throwing out accusations as to who the "real" mafia members were. Later, when the game was over, (and the mafia had won) he told me about his strategy. He explained that by throwing around accusations, it forces the real detective to come forward. Then, after presenting enough false evidence, the mafia hoped that they had casted enough doubt on the civilians for the priest not to protect the real detective. And then, the real detective would be dead the next day... I'm not saying that's what's happening here. I'm just saying that strategies are too hard to dissect and I certainly wouldn't want to come forward at the very beginning if I were the detective. It just seems a little fishy.
 11.
YESSIR! What do you mean it was the point of his post?
He was saying that the reasons behind your voting tactics can't be easily determined. Just like the reason for why anyone does what they do on here...
 12.
Or maybe I'm just laying low so that the werewolves don't kill me.
I think that was the point of Ace's post... And sorry if anyone feels like I'm spamming this thread. I'm a bit restless right now and I'm trying to find something to keep me interested... So, if any of you get online, spam the thread with me!!!
 13. I agree with everyone else. Especially the part of EMO = DEPRESSION... I mean, emo didn't even start out as a style or "way of life." It started as a style of music which stereotyped the word "emotional" with people who are often sad (aka crying, depressed) emotional people can be overly happy, you know? That's why I hate so many different tangents to music. It becomes a bit confusing and really influences people in a negative way. When someone asks me what kind of music I listen to, I always tell them rock. If they want anything more specific than that, I'll tell them the artists' names. If they don't know them and they're interested, then they can go and look them up. But I digress... Everyone is "emo" (for lack of a better word) every once in a while. I am right now, and people can tell without me wearing skinny jeans, capitalizing on the "nerd glasses," or having the signature emo hair cut... And I definitely agree with Lunox in saying that it's just a fad, for the most part. The only thing that makes it so easy to follow is that most middle/high school kids don't know how to deal with their depression in a healthy way. Downplaying all the good things in someone's life and giving in to lyrics of a song is just sad, in my opinion. Join an organization and stop ostracizing yourself from mainstream society and your life will be a whole lot easier. Now, that doesn't mean that there aren't some people who simply like the clothing style... That's fine; no big. As long as they aren't giving up themselves to be part of the "I-feel-sorry-for-myself" crowd, then I'm okay with that.
 14.
Though I could go Johnny Cochran on y'all if I really need to defend myself.
Oh no... The dreaded word. That is all.
 15. I'm feeling a bit emo right now... And angry...So whenever that happens, I always revert back to my boy Damien Rice. Particularly, his song "Rootless Trees" Nothing expresses my feelings when I'm mad better than: "**** you, **** you, **** you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it There's nothing in you And did you hate me, hate me, hate me, hate me so good That you just let me out, let me out, let me out Of this hell when you're around" It's actually strange how closely this applies right now. And it feels so good to scream this at the top of my lungs while I'm in my car, driving down the road. :animesmil
 16.
You seem awful desperate yourself to get us to vote for her. Protecting your werewolf buddy there, Darren?
Desperate? Nah... In the end, I know this is just a game... Whatever strategy the werewolves are using, it seems to be working since I'm still at a loss. Like I said, I have hunches, (Tetra being one of them) but my statement about betting money really doesn't signal desperation. In the end, people will vote how they want to. There's nothing I can do to change that and just like I'm doubting that Lrb's the "Detective," I'm doubting that Tetra is a civilian... I mean seriously, how convenient is it for the person Lrb investigated, to be the one who was killed... I don't know, all I'm saying is that no one here is without suspicion. I'm just going with the easy vote since Tetra seems the most obvious. You said it yourself that she seems too crazy... This is true, (also, no offense) but she didn't have the option to be a werewolf or a civilian. That was all random so it's possible that she is a werewolf and just gave herself away too early.
 17. I would change my vote if it weren't for this:
You have been warned. Farewell. If I could Lynch you all, I would.
That's a bit personal... And to be honest, a lynch crazy civilian is just as bad as a werewolf. It doesn't really matter that you're a civilian if you're dead... And seeing that Tetra just decided to throw out a random lynch name the first day cycle and is seeming really desperate now, I'm willing to bet money that she's a werewolf in disguise as a lynch crazy civilian... I guess we're only waiting on Lrb to cast his vote... I wonder what happens if no one gets the determined majority???
 18. Wow... I was under the impression that this thread had died ages ago. (I really should visit other forums more often) I was also under the impression that I was completely caught up with the story... Apparently not, because I have no idea what you guys are talking about. After reading Allamorph's spoiler warning from way back when, (and ignoring it since I was positive I was caught up) I regret doing so... It's really hard to stay updated when the books come out several months apart... I'm going to have to go out and get number 19. Now I'm excited!!! (Even thought it's pretty much been ruined for me. Blah.
 19.
But my instinct say someone else... and I won't say who. Simply because I don't have enough evidence to go on a gut instinct right now - not until things really start to get tough. Therefore, by not saying who, I'll go by logic. And that says: Lynch: Tetra.
You know, that's exactly what's been running through my mind as well. I have a hunch on two of the werewolves but it's just too risky to start pointing fingers and risk getting killed during the night. I was actually waiting on either Tetra to give some sort of defense or Lrb and Mr. Blonde to come in with their votes or suspicions... Seeing that neither has been done, I'll stick with logic: Lynch: Tetra of sound
 20.
And would someone remind me why logic says Tetra? Until then, I'm afraid I can't decide yet...
The logic was just that Drizzt was the only one who suspected Tetra and now Drizzt has been devoured... So perhaps the werewolves were nervous that someone was catching on, I don't know. But glad to see you've showed up to make a decent post. :D I withdraw my statement.
 21.
Vague post is vague. Also kind of emo. I am going home. Since I'm in college, taking the week off to go see my grandmother in SC isn't possible for now, so I'll content myself with my immediate family and my cats. Man, Shadow is going to go frilling nuts.
Yes it was a little emo. I tend to do that from time to time. I supposed the only good thing that's come out of it, my mom isn't making me go to the big family reunion thanksgiving!!! So, it looks like I'll be spending Thanksgiving at home, but I'll be alone. :animesigh
 22. To make things even more unbearable... Thanksgiving now officially has a reason to be hated... My plans have just gotten a million times worse...
 23. Wow, Tetra... I was a little shocked that you had said that. I mean, how do you think we reached 8 votes in the last day cycle? Everyone had to post at least once, y'know? Anyway, I'm not so sure who I'm voting for just yet. I just figured I should post so I don't get any strange accusations *cough* Tetra *cough* against me... While I do think it's a coincidence that Drizzt was the one who voted to lynch Tetra, somehow, I'm not sure. And then there's all the rest of you!!! (Not to mention that Chibi-Master hasn't posted except once and it was a simple 1-liner) IDK, but I'll be back soon enough with my vote.
 24. Time for some random fun in the lounge. Hopefully Harry Potter fans will recognize the title and give this thread some attention. So, I believe it was in the 6th book, where this love potion was introduced. I'm not going to ask who do you use the love potion on. But, according to Hermione's description, the potion smells different to everyone. It always smells like the things that person loves. So my questions are: 1) What are some scents that you love? 2) What do those scents represent to you? (besides the obvious physical object that emits that scent) 3) What do you think that says about you as a person? 1) Just a few: I love the smell of campfire, herbs/spices, fresh stationary paper, and certain types of cologne. 2) With campfire, I always imagine Fall & Winter night times. I don't really do a lot of camping and never had a chimney in my home, but the holidays always come to mind when I think about that. Herbs & spices always remind me of different places like Africa or Mexico. I'm not really sure why on that one either. Stationary paper reminds me, of all things, cucumbers (which happen to be one of my favorite vegetables. (Am I the only one that thinks paper smells like cucumbers. Paper also reminds me of success. Weather that has to do with money being made out of paper or just the prospect of achieving wealth due to something on paper, I don't know. And there are certain types of cologne that remind me of the ocean or the sky. Obviously, I love skydiving and I love the ocean so just getting that feeling of being on the beach (even thought I'm not fond of it) or flying through the air is always a nice sentiment. 3) Maybe I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but I think it means I'm a person who likes to travel. I know I want to see the world some day and places like Africa are definitely on my list. I think it means I'm an adventurous person who has a calm and sensitive side. I think it also says I'm very communicative through many different mediums, and I love the prospect of wealth. (As long as it's achieved through fair and rewarding means) But I also think it says that I'm more of a loner... I don't know. Lastly, I think it says that I'm a person who loves his family. Even if I don't get along with them, being reminded of night time holiday seasons makes me think of relaxing evenings at home just being happy without having to do anything special. Okay, so go ahead... And don't be afraid to state what you love. (Trust me, my cousin loves the smell of gasoline. I kinda worry about her for that one) I've heard just about all of them.
 25. I actually just want money... I know, "How lame," huh? But I understand my family is running a bit low on cash this year and I don't want to ask for something out of their price range and make them feel bad that they can't get it for me. Plus, What I actually asked for was clothes, but my parents don't even begin to try to understand what my clothing style is so they've opted just to give me money. And then the Christmas party. My family decided that since this year is so tight, we're just going to go with a 50 dollar spending limit on Dirty Santa and not buy presents for any specific person. Which is good for me, seeing that I'm a broke college student. So, I actually already know what I'm getting for Christmas: -a random gift of the game's choosing (under $50) -$150 to spend as I wish. (American Apparel, here I come!!!)
