1.
I want a cute little femme boy that has silky, long hair and can pull off eyeliner and black clothes. XD He'll let me paint his nails and we can give each other make-overs and then go watch Teen Titans together. Someone who likes hugs over kisses and is willing to sneak out at three AM to go to IHOP with me. I want someone I can just lay around with and we don't really need to talk. They just understand what I've gone through or what I'm going through. Supportive and fun. Oh yeah, they have to be a major geek. Sci-fi, manga, and gaming guru all the way. : D
If I had a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend, I want him to be just like this. Then we'd be just alike and we'd be so cute together!I could just see us sitting together playing video games and stuff :D He;d have to be taller though. I want to be the cute one ~_^
2. I like them a lot, I do, but they're a bit too exciting. The tone of my story is sort of cold, snowy, like... think winter >_> The colors are good, maybe a bit fast, but still cool. I mostly just want much thinner text and more spacey I'll give you the first 300 OtakuBucks now, though. EDIT: Im cancelling this request. If anyone still wants to try, that's cool, but I'm forfeiting this request. You don't need to post again to notify people you're cancelling the request. You know that double posts are against the rules - Retribution
3. Hey, the middle was my favorite part of 1984! Even if the end did get me mad because I was ready to cry about them not living happily ever after v_v I agree that Romeo and Juliet sucks though. Their relationship was utterly stupid, and I was almost glad to see them die. At least they were spared their detestable future.
4.
Yeah, my name rocks. :o Anyway, I did what Delta said in her last post and I must say that the Anti-Aliasing makes it look much better. So even though the W in my name is a bit weirder with Anti-Aliasing on, it's still worth it. By the way, Tical. Why does it even matter? I mean, I'm the only active OB member with a capital W (and there aren't any active members with a capital V) right now. Plus, the light shade effect doesn't work on small case W's and V's. :whoops:
IUt does on my comp. Id noticed it in your name for a while, I thought you had used some magic to make the W a sort of white color to fit your name, but then I started seeing it in other names as well.
5. I aint seen much. Slipknot kicked some serious *** at the Big Day Off, but they're about all I've seen firsthand. The moving drumkits were sweet, loved the flames, and the big 666 signs were teh shiz. I have watched plenty of The Mars Volta on youtube and it's simply freaking amazing. They take their songs and stretch the crap outta them adding in just all sorts of stuff. There have even been times where they just went onstage and made stuff up and it worked. Their live CD Scabdates is great as well, wehre they took a frikkin 12 minute song and stretched it to 42 minutes! The Bulet In A Bible DVD by Green Day was cool as well. Coheed And Cambria is great live (on youtube) though Claudio screws up sometimes (prolly drunk) but others he's simply amazing. In one performace he yelled on of the lines into his guitar, it sounded awesome!
6.
(not to mention I was growing more attached to my penis and the amazing things it could do - something Transformers will never get to do) I gave up on that dream.[/color']
I wanted to point out that that's the funniest freaking thing I've read all week XD For this, I give you 700 OtakuBucks. I know I should PM him, but last time I tried it said he couldn't be PMed. So, to keep topic... I forgot to mention that at some point I wanted to collect all the Power Rangers, Beast Wars, Anime DVDs, Graphic Novels, comic books, RPGs, games which Gamespot gave above an 8, consoles, Prog rock CDs, and cool anime pics in the world. Also, at one time I had a goal to be the #1 favorite article writer for theOtaku, but that list seems to change at random.
7.
I am a musician. Therefore, I see things "differently" from other people... it's a proven fact that musicians basically don't think the same way as non-musicians.
...Im revoking your 100 OtakuBucks for your post. Numero Uno: Nothing is proven fact. *puts up Flamewalls* Nii-ban: Anyone can think in any way. It all depends on what they have learned. It is not musicians who think unlike others. It is people within the said mindset who become musicians. It is the way they find they express themselves. Number Three: NO 2 MUSICIANS ARE THE SAME. Musicians are only different from others in the fact that they are musicians, meaning every clich (sp?) s different from every other and every person is different because when you get right down to it, no two thought processes look alike. In the immortal words of Bill Engvall, here's your sign.
8.
Oh, oh. Here's another goal. I wanted to be a Space Pirate. And I STILL want to be a Space Pirate. Not a Space Ninja, a Space Pirate.[/color']
Damn, you always say the coolest things before I get the chance XD This thread is interesting. Acheron shall be awarded 300 OtakuBucks. I'm an entirely different person than I was as a child, and I can safely say all my dreams have been shattered XD I'm fairly certain I wanted to be a super hero when I was like 4. Never a policeman. I always thought the robbers were the best. I recall my first true dream was at 7. I was downright determined to become a Paleontologist after eccesive viewing of Jurassic Park and The Lost World. (it was so funny when I said this to others and they were like Paleo-what?!) I had memorized the height and weight of all the coolest dinosaurs. (I never liked T-rex, was always a raptor person. Still am.) After that I think I went a little while without much of a plan. Till I was 9. Now I wanted to "make my own video game." My plan was that all I had to do was crete a stroy, level designs, enemies, characters, weapons, bosses, and all that jazz, compile my ideas, and send them to Nintendo. After that I would be given exactly 2 million dollars. I recall my little and broter and I jumping on his badass racecar bed and saying what we'd do with the money. I wanted to buy all the consoles. I became OBSESSED with Nintendo Power magazine at 10. Until 12 I thought Nintendo was like a god and refused to touch a PS2 or Xbox. I'd surely be struck down by Shigeuro Miayamoto XD So, when I was 10 (and would turn 11 in August) at the beginning of Summer break I decided to write a magazine. Using a lightboard to trace images from NP, I sat down and worked nonstop through the whole break till I'd handwritten a 95-page Nintendo magazine. Complete with Bomberman on the cover. That dream of writing magazines died whe NO ONE read it. EVER.
****ers >_>
Anywho, I then completed the enemy list for my game (Puzzling) but at this point I had figured ou it takes technology to make a game. So I started my new endeavor. To write a novel. The novel was Puzzling 2, a sequel to the would-be video game. Every day in the 20 minutes of free time I had in class, and in the times I was bored, i'd write. I had scheduled it to be 100 pages (hand written mind you) but around 94 I faded out of this obsession, especially as I learned that books are typed. Now I was into anime, but I was still striving for a novel career. Many, MANY attempts. As I began to get into videeo games early last year, I decided to write reviews for games. My goal was to write 100 reviews for GameFAQs.com. I made it to 22 before I lost interest. Simultaneously I was trying to become a well-known editorial writer for RPGamer.net. I won a contest, but stopped writing cuz I never got my damn poster >_> Then I found I had a 'knack' (I wasn't that good, but thought I was) for poetry. I spent a LOT of time writing poems. I wanted to become a poet. A little while in OB Anthology stopped that dream >_> Then just a few months ago i wanted to start a band, but now that dream seems far off as well. Well, there's my life in a nutshell. Toodles.
9. Okay I want an animated banner and avvi. Here's wha tI wnat them to look like Blue background, blue words. But, I want the shade to go up and down. Like it goes from light blue to dark blue. The words will get dark while the backround gets light and vice versa. Simple, I hope. The words should be centered in big letters it should say "Blue Eyes Staring" and below that, half the size "A Tale of Wandering Minds" The avatar should just say "Blue Eyes Staring" same effects, but put 'Staring' on the second line The font should be something thin and spacey. Or, if you have it, the font wher the letters are caps but lower case is small. I love that one :animesmil For this I will pay you 600 OtakuBucks.
10. I'm a writer. I find that it connects to my life. Okay, here's the thing. I noticed it when I was playing with the little kids at this birthday party. (I love little kids. They flock to me, and I always amaze parents with my ability to deal with them. Everyone wishes I was their babysitter :animesmil ) anywho, I noticed how I am always so sympathetic to parents. How I always want to try and help them, tell them something that'll make thier time easier. Sympathetic to the kids, who I always feel sorry for when their parents are strict, so I always try to cheer em up. When I look at a random person who's in trouble, I always want to help them. I only have very little courage and therefore only help in subtle ways, like maybe giving some advice or something. It seems I like to help people a great deal. It's selfish in a way. It's like I'm trying to control people... trying to give them the ending I want. When I see a story, I want it to end a certain way, and I want to help it get there. Luckily my endings are happy. This also explains why when I get to know a person well I have a tendancy to have feelings for them. I want to make sure they get a happy ending. I've become particularly involved in one story... but this is getting away from the point a bit I guess. My writing is inspired by a story which I want to go my way. I get involved with my characters and try to work them towards their ending. I think that's why I have such a hard time putting characters through trouble. It hurts me personally. When I watch anime or play games, I almost always want to write fanfictioin so that I can end everyone's lives. When I fall in love with a cast of characters, I want to know how they turned out. Make sure it's all good. With Tales of Symohonia (my alltime favortie game) after beating it I wrote fanfics covering about the next 7 years of the characters' lives, and would have wrote up to their deaths had the fic not died. I think the main problem I'm having in life is that I want to write my stroy in a certain way... with a certain person... in a certain place... but the plot twists have flung me around. My ending seems impossible. If I change the story now, it'll be like I didn't get 100%. Like I got one of the "bad endings". A post in this thread is worth 100 OtakuBucks
11. Papa Smurf I'm not jusdging you for being new. I'm kinda new really, at least compared to some of most of these dudes. I'm just wondering why you keep up your agression towards the story. While you carry a calm tone, the fact that you keep on with your barrage of finger-pointing creates the image that you are mad at this tory for some reason. I'm wondering why you care so damn much, when you are habing a negative effect, namely on the spirit of the story's creator. What reason have you for pressing on, long after proving your point? Are ou trying to change our opinions or something? The way you're talking is as though you want everyone to hate this story, and that's just mean. Also, DeadSeraphim, I know your plight. People tend to flock here a lot more when there's a parody up, but I guess it's just cuz they like to see themselves and their friends imbedded in fiction. Also, for the record, I never read your story because I thought it was a NOIR fanfiction, considering it carries the same title >_>
12. Papa Smurf.... what are you getting out of this? What reason have you to continue to press on your same point? WE GET IT. You've only said it a million times. The story wil continue, you've done nothing. You act as though you're unveiling some big mystery that it's a copycat story, but you aren't. You're just being annoying. Like that kid who always tries to start something with another kid and is always throwing out beef on him, while everyone else shakes their head and ignores him. Have you nothing better to do? You want to waste your time arguing about a story you don't even like? Why? How about doing us some justice and shutting the hell up so the rest of us can enjoy the film, or is that too much to ask?
13. Pfff.... hell, no way dude. I will not pay no 70 dollars for a game unless it is The ****. In fact, that better be the title of the game >_> as if 600 dollars for the console weren't absurd enough already. I dunno how this is gunna work, but Im a bit aggrivated. Smaller game developers shall be destroyed.
14. I've noticed that when you look at someone's name in a post, if it has a W in it, the W is a shade lighter than the rest of the letters. Is it just my computer, or is this some sort of strange OB easter egg?
15.
You know what's funny OB? We all talk about the perfect person (I posted also.) and all, but do you guys know that you can't control love? Love works it out 'all by itself'. I mean lets get real Otakus, We talk about this perfect person we want and all (And sometimes people's wishes come true. Kudos to you guys. ), but when you fall in love with someone, you fall in love, and [sorry to say] these lists you were creating [for that perfect someone] will seem to get edited or 'thrown out the window' (I know from experience). I created 'The List' too, just like all of you posting on this topic. But when I met my wife (Just another girl back then) my list sorta... 'vanished'. And the weird part is that when I had my list and while I talked to her, she was the exact opposite of my flawless list. Ugh... :animeangr ...But my heart wanted her in my life. To sum it up, Up4Anime says it best in her signiture: Don't settle for the one you can live with, wait for the one you can't live without. *Hope i'm not taking focus away from the topic at hand.* Acheron~
You're right. But these are lists for a dream girl, a fantasy. Something that doesn't need to exist for happiness but would bring it in surpreme. Or, like mine, it describes someone whom I already have strong feelings for. Blase I gotta say, I really like your dream guy though. He's awesome.
16. This has been one of the funniest chapters of anything I've ever read ever. A lot of things are funny, but not many things can make me burst forth with laughter. There were many scenes which did that, namely the scene mentioned by the Boss. I also loved the guard who kept saying 'thats bitchin' and the whole Sauron thing. Exuberantly awesome. I just love you increadibly random humor, and how nearly every single sentence is funny.
17. - short. I don't do tall girls >_> I myself an about medium-height - more cute than sexy. Better for cuddling =^-^= But can still be sexy, too ~_^ - good fashion sense. I like to see all the cute outfits she can come up with ^_^ - neautral. I can't stand overly-opinionated people on any subject. - likes to spend lots of time together - open minded. VERY open minded. You'd have to be to last 1 conversation with me - creative and smart - understands me and is a lot like me Of course, I happen to be talking about a certain someone ^_^ Although if I could give her bonus traits they'd be-- - super-loving - lives close by
18. I'd outlaw automobiles. They suck. Of course I'd also form my communities in a way that lack of automobiles wouldn't be so bad. Then I save people mone, save the invironment, and cut a huge cause of death.
19. Im totally with Prick Wizard, it's rediculous to think that these things are impossible. Anything is possible, humans are proof of that. Anyway, after watching that Discovery Channel special on dragons im inclined to believe that they once existed. I want to think that all magical creatures exist or existed at some point. BTW is the Bermuda Triangle still a big mystery or what?
20. - knowing there are others like me - the sense of accomplishment when I ACTUALLY do something - the little things which for the big picture - getting complemented
21. I liked this chapter a lot more, especially the part with the narrator confusion XD The 'sand which' was good as well, and how the crystal was right there in the basket. The 'coo' part was very reminiscent of another OB parody...
22. I'm with Itachi, it's just a stupid *** ad idea. I mean how on earth di dthey not think this would be takien negatively? Seriously, why is the white one like crushing the black? This ad might actually BE racist O_O
23.
It seems to me that none of you guys really have a view of emo from within it. People don't cut themselves because they want to die. If they want to die, they get guns. They cut to make them look the way outside as they do inside. I don't cut myself, I'd call myself emo. Its not a fashion thing because I match precious few of the claimed fashion things. I AM emo too. People classify me as emo. They are not always sad. Its emotional extremes, I think.[/COLOR']
There may be some people like you who are really emo. Maybe you're where the whole thing started. But... I know that the majority of emo kids at my school - many of whom I've talked to - are 'fakes'.
24. personality has nothing to do with emo kids. Its 100% fashion trend. Anyone could be emo, they just wanna be in that croud >_>
25. I duno abput the black, that isn't all that emo. They usually wear blue jeans with white belts. Jackets often as well with either really short or tucked-in shirts. Most emo kids aren't as emotional as the music. I like tojoke about them :P although most emo kids could probably kick my ***.
