1. Dude, I don't even know anymore. Well... what do I look for in a girl... well of course I'd like it if she's pretty, but I think most girls are pretty... not to say that I'm like a super pervert or something, I'm just not that picky... perhaps simply desperate. But looks aren't as important as personality. I'm a huge debater, so if we don't see eye to eye on major issues I couldn't stand her. Perhaps a girl who was less opinionated... but (and I don't mean to stereotype) most girls who aren't that opinionated tend to not be that smart... let's just hope she's a girl who's thoughts are a lot like mine. But I'd hope she's someone more... adventerous than me... someone who can "peel me off this velcro seat and get me movin". Alas, I have only seem girls like that in anime and novels... but here's hoping there's some real girls like that, eh! *quote taken from Green Day, Longview
2.
I was born an amputee inside here Who can't turn and pledge allegiance We just fall inline + we just fall behind We default your procreation We default your assassination Paralysed We're paralysed We are born from you-we've come to Calvin Klein's the killer They want to - look like you Calvin Klein's the killer This fashion is a warning sign You were shot for your division We just fall behind + we just fall inline Paralysed We're paralysed Cause Calvin Klein's the killer Versace now is the killer Calvin Klein's the killer Versace now is the killer Paralysed
Now that that's out of the way, I think it's quite obvious that I have fashion clothes lines. Making you feel like you need to wear those clothes, you NEED to look good and fashionable or everyone will hate you, you NEED to have top-knotch accesories or you're uncool... and it's them telling you to conform or be cast out that makes it so people really believe that they NEED to throw away their money on something as totally irrelevant as a clothing item. It's just another example of overbearing advertising.
3. I didn't want to have to use this one, but here goes. "Do unto others what you wish done unto yourself" or however that's meant to be worded. Ew.. I can't believe I live by the golden rule... but still, it is a great quote. And it's in a Tool song... but in different context.
4. I am always thinking about how bleak my generation's future is. Because no matter how much I try to convince myself that there are enough smart people out there to pull through... I'm totally convinced that we are all doomed. Things are going through an eternal downward spiral that will result in total destruction. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but, my point is clear, right? I really wish that our generation would be intelligent and right the wrongs of the world, but no one seems to care about anything nowadays. Most teens I've been around don't even care about themselves much less others. Some people wouldn't want it any other way. Personally, I see the future as bleak. Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but when I stare out at the world I see darkness.
5. The quote I live by? Hmm.... that's a difficult question. There are a lot of quotes I use to describe my life... picking a specific one isn't easy. I'll just use one of them for now. "Don't justify your actions with the actions of others" I just thought of that. Obviosly, it means just because someone gets away with something doesn't mean it's right.
6.
WEll, honey, apparently you have no life to begin with[/b'] if all you're doing is picking on people who want comfort. So what if they're immature? Some of the most interesting people in history were/are the goofiest, most possibly insane people in the world! So get of your rickety little soap box and take a look around. If you haven't got something to be really passionate about, don't shoot down other people's passions. Got it?
No need to get so damn jumpy, she didn't say anything near what your implying. that was good solid advice, and I don't think she was making fun of the thread starter. Anyway, by saying something like that you NOT ONLY are doing nothing to help the problem, but only creating tention. No need to start SOMETHING for NOTHING. Now, as for your problem, ilovekyonichi, the key is to find someone in the real world who you love even more than kyo. In fact, another thing that helps is to look at kyo's personality and your own and try to figure out what it would really be like if you met. You'll probably find that there's no way it would ever wprk out.
7.
I definitely miss Sailor Moon and the old school Pokemon. No more of this Emerald crap. I miss all the old anime.. D:
Thank you! That's why I'm lucky I taped most of the origional episodes! *holds up sign that says 'kill may and max, bring back Misty' and another that says 'while your at it, make it so that guy in the green shirt never existed'*
8. I was too young to enjoy Tenchi Muyo and Outlaw Star when they were around... now I may never know their glory... *cries* I'm just glad Robotech came out on DVD so even though it's before my time I can still witness it's awesomeness... thank Japan for Robotech.
9. yeah! U don't know what u r saying! Anyway, at my school (now, mind you, I've been here 2 months) everyone seems to get along, regardless of what they're into. The otaku slide right in with the goths and the juggalos like one big happy family. Unlike my old school where everyone hated people from other groups. I have noticed bitter relations between some groups though... perhaps otaku is a subdivision of the subdivisions here.
10.
No. Never. Franz Ferdinand have, apparently, gone to mainstream to be Indy. I mean, they were on MTV! Totally not Indy. No. Way. You're lucky I got to you before the [strike]term rockin' cool[/strike] Indy Vultures man. Those things are vicious. Their rhetoric is almost as great as their egos. Which are big, so you do the math. I'd do it for you, but, you know... I hate math. It's just so... so... NUMERICAL. Shockingly, disgustingly, numerical.
Well, on the commercial for the Franz Ferdinand/Death Cab For Cutie tour, it was declared "The most indie-licious event of the summer"
11. DW... you are the man. The Bermuda Triangle (AKA Devil's triangle or dragon triangle) has always been one of my favorite worldly mysteries. that's where I think dragons and unicorns live. And it's made by you, so it MUST be awesome. I will follow you on any voyage, mon capitan! *suddenly wonders if Lost takes place in the Bermuda Triangle* EDIT: Will our characters speak Puerto Rican? Well, with the little around their speech I mean?
12.
I've only read the Newsweek article about this whole thing (that was when it actually was released, so I've forgotten some things), so I'm just here to ask a question. I'm not stating any opinions on the whole thing, because I really don't have a strong one. Why are Christians denying it so heavily?
Because the church always denies stuff like that... Also, how did Judas even have a gospel? Didn't he kill himself after ratting out Jesus? ANyway, the only thing I'm interested in involving Judas is Judas Priest. They kick metal ***!
13. I was born August 8 (thats 8/8) I weighed 8 pounds and 8 ounces. When I was 8 years old I was in room 8 at school. My favorite number is 8
14. I've been banned 3 times AND IP banned. I guess the mods took pity on me after a while because I am here now.
15. Slow down a minute. Where do we get the videos?
16. - TOOL (slightly more known) - Coheed And Cambria (also not totally unheard of) - The Mars Volta ( On about the leveel of CoCa) - Bad Acid Trip (Close friends with SOAD as well as my parents... and probably our backstage pass to Ozzfest) - Amen (I think they're more popular in UK) I think that's all the indie bands I really like... does Franz Ferdinand still count as Indie?
17. Ah... well it used to be Somewhere I Belong... but I think I've completed that mission (another story for another time) Anyway, as a result of that accomplishment, I now have two theme songs. Well, actually one is Live And Learn from the Sonic Adventure 2 soundtrack, which isn't so much a theme song as a message to those in need. But my theme song I'd have to say is AEnima by tool (see my sig). Cuz I'm praying for rain and... I'm praying for tidal waves... I wanna see the ground give way... I wanna watch it all go down...
18. So this time it was his lover that killed him? But it seemed like he wanted it. Ah... I'll never understand why all my favorite poetry is the most cryptic stuff, when trying to figure it out just confuses me...
19. Well, I only just recently picked up a guitar and began learning, and in 2 weeks my little brothers get their very own drum and bass guitar. The plan is: start a band since I've written like 100 songs. If my brothers can't learn to play, I plan to master all three instruments and be like Trent Reznor. Name: Moon Tan (tentative) Genre: Prog rock, metal, punk Location: Somewhere in Virginia Influences: Tool, System Of A Down, Bad Acid Trip, The Mars Volta, Green Day, Coheed & Cambria The songs I've written usually deal with: how bad society is, how bad government s, injustice, and some stuff that I just thought sounded cool.
20. I think people need to stop making such a big deal about his controversial lyrics. I think he's smart, very creative, and his music is pretty cool. (except encore... just seemed like more of the same). So he says bad stuff... doesn't everyone?
21. I HATE GENRE-WHORES (also known as genre-bitches, classification-junkies, or average teenagers) People wearing their little ICP t-cshirts and calling themselves "juggalos," then they go steal ****... most of those kids have never LISTENED to ICP. BTW, ICP is a christian rap band... ALSO, all people who say "I'm emo" then automatically have to buy Hawthorne Heights and crap. Supposed "goth kids." Have I gotten into 'music fights' with them? You bet. Every chance I get. And it's always disheartening to know I'm right.
22. Robots, right? This is so friggin awesome (as are all your works :catgirl: ). I can't help but read it as though it were a song... *can hear it being sung by Coheed and Cambria* so cool...
23. For 2 years and 8 months I've been coming to OB at multitudes of different times. At first I was alays her, then only sometimes, then I left for a month, came back for a while but didn't post as much, left for 4-5 months, came back and only posted a little, started posting a lot again, then lost internet for 2 months, and now I'm here.
24. Wow... that was pretty darn good! I'm not quite sure I fully understand... did the guy kill himself from insanity over lost love? You'll have to tell me what it'a about. I'd really like to see more by you.
