Writing The Bikini Bandits Strike Back! [M-L, likely sexual innuendos]
2010DigitalBoy replied to Annie's topic in Creative Works
I really like this story, not so much for the plot itself, but for all the little OB jokes. I loved the lines about how OB 'usually ran smoothly' also 'who in the matrix would do that?' was great. I always hate it when people say something like 'why on Earth' when the're supposed to be on some other planet. And of course the lines about sendinga PM and getting on AIM. -

2010DigitalBoy replied to Drix D'Zanth's topic in Creative Works
. Is is ok if i save the second one? i wanna use it as a background for my desktop ^_^
I was gunna ask that! That is until I saw liquid flutter, and now I want that one! Wow, Drix, these pictures totally kick ***! You're awesome for a new guy. I had photoshop for a while and I couldn't figure out anything. -
About a year ago, there was a strange occurence that lasted about 3 months. Every single day I experienced a different strange coincidence. Just two days ago, during the golden globes, the strangest thing happened... First, it was when I was when I was upstairs on OB, and someone said "even Ray Charles could see" bla bla bla. About 5 minutes later, I heard the name Ray Charles on TV. Later on, I went downstairs and sat on the couch with my parents. There was a commercial break and my dad said something about a charachter from one of the commercials asking "is he related to Tim Robins?" At that EXACT second, Time Robins comes out oon stage! My parents were tripping out over how weird that was. I said "yeah, when I was upstairs I read the name Ray Chrales and then heard his name. I mean, how often do you hear Ray Charles's name tossed around?" And no more than 5 seconds later, Jamie Fox comes walking onstage!!!!! So then, I'm going to bed later on when my mom comes upstair saying "OMG ------- get this! I was watching the golden globes and they gave a lifetime achievement award to the guy who played Hannible Lecter and they showed a clip of him saying 'I had his liver with a side of chianti!'" Well, as it would turn out, at work that day (my mom is a manager at Spencers) they had been picking nametamgs which had names of wines. My mom had picked Chianti and said 'I had his liver with a side of Chianti'! Isn't that crazy??? 3 in one night!

Keyblade, I like your banner and avatar combo, the blue looks really good, and the charachters, who I cannot identify, are cool too. The text, though, is unexciting. 8/10. So, how do the critics like my new Mars Volta setup?

Hey, I haven't heard much music compared to a lot of you guys, but recently I've been searching for the perfect guitar solo. What's your alltime favorite guitar solo? My favorite is either the one from Rain, off the Cowboy Bebop album, or the one from Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold. Both are great, albeit not particularly long like some metal guitar solos.

I Need Music Reccommendations - Instrumental
2010DigitalBoy replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Noosphere
Woah, now, slow down. Just so you know, I don't know ANYTHING about... music in general. If it isn't on the radio, I've never heard of them. Even then Ive probably never heard of them, so before you startt comparing one strange band to another, please tell me what the first strange band is. So far, Ayeron sounds pretty cool. WTF is a didjeridoo??? -
Are we allowed to have multiple images adding up to 500X100?

This seems pretty interesting, I'll keep a lookout for chapter 2. You know, it's funny. When you said that they split up to run to the hideout I thought 'heh, reminds me of Final Fantasy 9' and then directly afterwards you mentioned a charachter named Biggs, and I was like 'OMG it IS Final Fantasy 9!'

Writing Otaku Club with Jiminy Critic! [E]
2010DigitalBoy replied to TheShinje's topic in Creative Works
That was interesting. Not really funny, but interesting. I think you should wait for the flood of OB based stories to die down before making another one. -
This is definetally ine of the best rhyming poems I've seen in a while. It is kinda blunt, but it's told very, very well. This is one of the few poems where I won't complain about it's shortness because it is, I think, the perfect length. Some of your rhymes, like all rhymes, are sort of cliche (heart and start) but you've pulled it off in a why that it is hardly noticed. The only line I didn't quite like was "Falling past the bar" as I'm not quite sure what that means, but other than that, it's excellent.

Writing A Battered Green Notebook [G]
2010DigitalBoy replied to Ailes de Velour's topic in Creative Works
*Bows to the almight poetry master* I don't know how you do it! Do you give lessons? Anyway, I love the sort of system you have here. The first, third, and fifth stanza have 6 lines (except the fifth with the sort of "finishing line") and the other two have a small ampunt of repitition. The whole thing is beautiful, with awesome imagery and great vocabulary. It's.... just... perfect! -
I think I've determined who the killer is, but I won't say anything cuz if I'm right, I'll spoil it. Anyway, holy hell, that is some crazy stuff. Just picturing it fills me with disgust, I meen... ew. I can't wait to find out more about the case. Crusifixion eh? Hmmm....

Then we'd also have to give them the right to smoke, and we don't want that. I say no.

Average Saturday: wake up hella late, sit around on the computer till late night, complain about not having cable and missing adult swim for the past 4 months and write poetry until the wee hours. PERFECT Saturday: First, this requires that I never slept Friday night. 1 AM to 7 AM would be all spent playing Phantasy Star Online with my two brothers. Then, I'd watch the Saturday morning cartoons till 12. At the exact second that One Piece goes off, my mom would take us to the mall to spend whatever money we have. After 2-3 hours at the mall, including lunch in the food court, we'd go home. I would then play one of my best games for 3-4 hours and actually make progress. The cable would magically start working again, and by some miracle I will automatically know everyhing that happened in every episode I missed of each show, or the season will have restarted. We'd also be having pizza for dinner. I will watch until 2 AM then come here and check out everything for about an hour. At 3 AM, I'd start writing poetry until 4, when it would be right back to PSO.

Writing Return of the Alyssa's Poetry! {E}
2010DigitalBoy replied to Zhara's topic in Creative Works
I'll review this one stanza at a time... 1. A good basic introductory stanza, though you start with "chocolat and vanilla" and "love and lust" but only the first gets used throughout the rest. Perhaps instead, "love and lust" could be replaced with "red and blue" so that both are repeated. Or, to go more extreme, the first two stanzas could become. "So different, You and I (something else) Love and lust. They say we're like chocolat and vanilla so strangely different But when they say that, I remind them How good chocolat vanilla swirl tastes" Or something to that effect. That way you would eliminate the strange repetition. 2. I liked this stanza, though the last line is a bit longer than the others, which threw me off at first. It is good, though as I said, that repetition feels a bit strange. 3. I really like this stanza, the "red and blue don't mix" line I thought was really cool. 4. The first three lines, I thought, were really pretty and don't need to be changed, but the "I love you" at the end seems like you just threw it in for the sake of having that there. -
Flame me :)[/SIZE']
YOU HAVE A CORN COB PIPE AND BUTTON NOSE AND TWO EYES MADE OUT OF COAL!!!!!!! But seriously, I don't think this is a good idea. Why on earth would we want to flame each other? Even if it was just friendly stuff, we get enough of that in the funny OB stories in anthology.

That made me laugh harder than anything all day. Wow, that was one of the randomest things... like... ever.
The reply was slurred and hurried, and roughly resembled Glopdiddly's favourite phrase - "Bleh". In fact, had the listener been particularly attentive, they would have discovered that it was, indeed, "Bleh".
That had me reeling. I just love how, and this applies to the whole story, it was told like a normal story using excellent narrative skills, and yet it was totally absurd and hilarious.
With that, Glopdiddly shot back out of sight, "bleh"ing as he went. "Mr Sh-" "No raisins! No deal!" "Couldn't you just-" "No!" Such tension! Such suspense!
I hadn't yet realised that the last part wasn't with the rest of the story, so as soon as I hit "Such tension! Such suspense!" I was on the ground. Very nice story.
Ya know what, if you want to run away, just go. If you really truely wanted to go than you wouldn't come to some random internet site to ask for advice knowning the kind of response you would get would not help you even a little bit. It's obvious that you really don't want a 'Dont do it!' response, so why did you come to a site like this when all you'd end up doing is argueing with people about your motives and the like. Unless you knew this would happen and really just wanted a chance to tell somebody, anybody, about how ****** your life is, you really aren't going to find what you're looking for here. All I can do at this point is shake my head.
Look, I don't know how long you've been here, but this is, in my opinion, THE place to go if you have problems. He did get good advice from some people on how to get away, but I think that in his heart he also wanted people to give him working alternatives. Sometimes what's on our mind doesn't come out in our words. Personally, I like when people come to us for advice, and he's gotten some. Hearing Starwind's arguement, I have to agree, you should really go to court. There's no use not trying, I mean you never know until you try, right?
I'd enjoy killing him, to be honest. I am a patient, kind person, but this guy makes me want to castrate him with a sledgehammer. I'm planning on doing it during the summer, lot more convienient that way.
*Slaps 'Matt' in the face* not good! You don't want to kill your dad! Oh, wait, you meant you were going to run away in the summer :animeswea I feel dumb. But still, why wait that long? You said you were staying with a friend, right? Yeah, well running away isn't so bad when your 15. You can get work and stay in a hotel, anythings better than being with that sadistic freak bastard. Yknow I always thought it would be fun to live on the streets. I plan on living at least 6 months like that... Id like to experience that.

I will never ask a girl out again. Horrible, horrible results *shudders* Anyway, I think that if a girl likes someone that much, they'd ask. Personally, Id like that more so I know how they feel about me.
-
If my dad was like that, Id ******* kill him. No hesitation whatsoever. Run away. Do it tonight if you can, just run. Nothing is worth staying with a **** head like that. It makes me angry just hearing stuff like that. Where do you live? Il come over there and give the bastard what-for.
-
Take me with you!!!!! Seriously, I always think about sleeping in the basement so my parents will see Im not in bed and freak out. Then they could find me and ask why I did something so dumb and I would finally be able to talk to them. Or, I could just run away with you. Sounds like fun! Then I could live up to my name. Tips: Do it when their asleep, geez that was so hard.
Most of Metallica's better stuff isn't played so often. Songs like "Blackened" or "...And Justice for All" or "Sanitarium" or "The Four Hoursemen" and on and on don't get much airplay at all, I've noticed. Perhaps it's just the stations I listen to, but I definitely think you should give Metallica a bigger chance. They honestly have some of the best guitar instrumental work I've ever heard, and I think they are truly deserving of their title as "the Gods of Metal." Their newer stuff is quite a letdown from their older stuff (I'm talking stuff from their first album, Kill 'Em All here, as well as Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All, and so on in comparison with something like St. Anger[/i']). Their older stuff is quite awesome, in fact, if you give it a chance.
My best friend has a bunch of metallica CDs Ill ask him to hook me up next time I see him. Also, I looked up Mindless Self Indulgence on Dogpile music... other than the song titled "kill yourself" every title had a cuss word like the song "Bitches" "stupid MF" and the like. What the hell do they sing about??? -
Writing The First Page - 5 of Tical's poems [PG]
2010DigitalBoy replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Creative Works
Wow, thanls man! I had never been told about that *shoots down crappy Writing Workshop teacher* I have many that arre more fitting of the title 'poem' I now see what you mean and I agree that they are a bit loose in that they don't really slap an image or thought in your head. These ones are just the first in each book, though, I have better ones (though upon rereading all the books, I pretty much destroyed most of them. I'm glad no one has seen some of them). -
The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty of 2005 (Nominations Thread)

The Anime Smilies I know tha many people hate them, but I use them so often it's almost a cruth. This is the only site where I can sigh :animesigh and sweatdrop :animeswea and, though less used, :animedepr Desbreko I wasn't going to nominate him at first because I wasn't sure what he'd done this past year (hey, I was gone for like 6 months) but then I saw he was a site admin now, so I use that as an excuse. The real reason for this nomination, though, is because back when I first joined I thought he was some golden god of gaming and the uber Zelda knowledge guy and I was like "ooo shiny triforce banner" so I thought he was cool. I was so disappointed when he changed that banner...
