Gaming Video Game Villains Contest - Nominations <Watch out 56K users>
2010DigitalBoy replied to PWNED's topic in Noosphere
I change my mind then. 1. Dr. Nefarious- Ratchet and Clank- Hahaha! I love this guy, so evil, so funny, so many things wrong with him! Crazy fool can't even keep himself from playing soap operas. I think he may be gay with his assistant, though. 2. Gannon- The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I know hes in most of them, but he's particularly cool in this one. He definetaly made me hate him. The dude not only froze all of the Zoras under the ice, but he tried to sacrifice the Gorons to the maghty dragon Volvaiga. 3. Seymore-as I said before, the guy is a psychopath!
He eliminated the Ronsos for no reason, and tried to marry Yuna.
Please somebody nominate Eggman! -
At the expense of sounding like a total n00b, I have a question. What do I need to play this game? I looked at the minimum specs, but I need to know the names of the things I need to buy.
Getting a GBA SP at this point would be pointless for one key reason: GameBoy Micro. Other than the concept of shielding the screen, GBM generally trounces GBA SP as a portable product. And it has a higher quality screen, to boot. .
I have to dissagree there. The Game Boy Micro, in my opinion, is a piece of crap. first of all, the screen may be higher quality, but the screen is smaller, and it even has some text problems. When playing a text-heavy game like golden Sun, this is a problem. Also the game boy micro cannot play origional Game Boy Color games. As a person who is still wanting to get the GBC Zelda and Draagon Warrior games this is also a problem. Also, is emulation not ilegal? Even if you have the game, its still illegal to emulate it.

Im not saying the PSP is necessarily bad, just not as good as the SP. And I do not by any means think that better graphics means worse gameplay, I just personally prefer to play handheld games with bad graphics, because Im used to that. The PSP throws so much at me at once its hard to grasp it. Ill probably get a PSP for Christmas anyway, as I want certain games such as Death jr. , and the new Final Fantasy 7 stuff, but if there aren't more good games by then I wont buy it. (if only they hadn't cancelled Makai Wars)

tch. This is no contest. I could buy a CD player, a DVD player, a GBASP, and up to 5 games for the price of 1 PSP. The GBASP is my favorite gaming console ever. It has a huge selection of games, mostly RPG and Tactics which are my favorites. The graphics aren't "amazing," But they're still damn good at doing what they need to. Take a look at Wipeout Pure for the PSP. Is that game any better than Racing Gears Advanced or F-Zero in terms of gameplay? Sure the graphics are great, but if the game sucks, who cares? So far I have heard of 1 good PSP game, and thats Lumines. Being someone who doesn't even like Tetris, I dought that I would ever pick it up. The main problem I have with the PSP is the battery life! Why am I playing a game that will cut off after 6 hours? My SP's batteries tend to last between 15-16 hours, and considering the fact that I often play between 5-7 hours at a time, the PSP would be no good. Personally, I think that better graphics often mean more problems.
Its been a long time, but if I remember right, each disk ran a little over 20 hours if you unlocked everything on the disk. As for gameplay, its pretty good at first, but it starts to get repetitive after a while. (for me, I got a little tired of it about half way through OUTBREAK) Each game is just basically the last one, but harder. Enter field, clear field, enter dungeon, clear out dungeon, grab special item with statue thingie behind it, sometimes defeat boss, return to town, repeat.
Not quite. 18 hours was the minimum amount of time for beating them, getting 100% could take around 30-35 hours. COMING SOON: .hack//GU (announced) .hack Online (announced) both will be released in Japan by December.

Gaming Does GameCube Have Any Good Anime Games?
2010DigitalBoy replied to EVA Unit 100's topic in Noosphere
Wait! Don't bother, I found out I was wrong. I thought that Gamespot was talking about the American release, but it was the Japanese version. I have the August Nintendo Power and they have no plan to release Naruto for any of their consoles. Import Away. Im going to check for the PS2 version... Im sorry. -
How did you find OtakuBoards?
2010DigitalBoy replied to Darker Alucard's topic in General Discussion
To tell you the truth, it all started about one year and 11 months ago... My cousin and I were searching for anime forums, after giving up on our old one since no one ever replied to it. I came across OtakuBoards, he came across AnimeForums. I started out in the RPG section and got addicted and ended up finishing some poor guys RPG when I hadn't even signed up for it! (He didn't care) Of course at the time I hadn't read the rules and posted a bunch of crap. I was banned after I tried to ressurect a bunch of 6 month old threads. I stayed away from OB for a while, but it's lure was to strong. I LOVE THIS PLACE! So now I'm here again. -
There's a secret boss? How do you get to him? Looks like I need to go back and play it some more. Anyways I beat one more game today riding down to Virginia Beach today. Mega Man Zero - I finally beat this game after having it for almost 2 years. The game is the hardest GBA game ever. It was fun but hard.
If you beat the first really big boss, and beat all the levels, it reveals that theere is a final level that you need a rediculous amount of emblems to get, and once you beat him, you really beat the game. 23: Devil May Cry: This is by far one of the best action games that I have ever played. all of the swords and stuff have awesome powers, and the H*** you unleash on your enemies is rediculously awesome. I will definetely buy the others, if just to know the rest of the story.

Gaming Does GameCube Have Any Good Anime Games?
2010DigitalBoy replied to EVA Unit 100's topic in Noosphere
I love my gamecube so muchies!!! But its really hard to find anime games... The best ones I've found that are at least anime -based are: Tales of Symphonia (Totally awesome in every way!) Baten Kaitos (Ok, but card based which bothers me) Final Fantasy: chronicles of time or somethign? (Only a kool game when there are at least 3 people playing) Rave Master (mainly just battle, battle, battle, but u can pick of 4 char. story lines to follow.) Pirates of Arcadia (kinda an older game but fun and prettiful.) thats all i can think of right now... there are A LOT more anime based games for Playstation of PS2 tho. That's prolly the best game systems to get.
Um... Im assuming you mean Skies of Arcadia, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Other than Rave Master, none of those games are actually anime games, just games with anime-esque animation. I can list some anime games for Gamecube, but I know nothing about them, or even if the animes are any good. Cubix D.I.C.E. Dragon Ball Z F-Zero (anime based on game) Kirby (same thing) Gundam Medabots Naruto (american release, unconfirmed) One Piece Pokemon Rave Master Robotech Yu-Gi-Oh! Zatch Bell Zoids -
Oh, man! I have to print that out and give it to all the fanboys I know. I remember back when I was a Nintendo fanboy, always bashing the PS2 and Xbox, until I finally bought them and loved them. I'm always saying stuff like the things in the leter to fanboys, but they are deaf to those words. If only that letter could reach them...

Sc2 is my favorite fighting game ever and my favorite charachter is Seung Mina. I love to use her spinning spear attack and stab attack, because they're the only ones I have memorised and the rest of the fight I just button-mash. Not to mention she's undeniably hot.

Holy crap, I was about to start this thread... I know several games that deserve more recognition, but there are two action-platformers that really deserve more credit. Metal Arms Glitch in the System, and I-Ninja. Metal Arms Glitch in the System- This is a very great action-platformer, very reminiscent of Ratchet and Clank. It has you finding awesome weapons and blasting the crap out of tons of enemies. Sounds boring, eh? Well, it requires a lot of strategy. Even though there is an easy, medium, hard, and nuts of steel mode, even easy mode was insanely hard. One of the most interesting things is hacking into you're bigger enemies and recruiting them with grenades. This is easily one of my favorite games. I-Ninja- A very fun game that can be called nothing else but a platformer. The game is based on three things, jumping, killing, and doing fun mini-games. There is no real way to describe this game other than fun and easy.

There were two basic shows that dominated my childhood. The first was PowerRangers, which I still think was cool up until the second season. The one show, though, that had me buying every action figure and got my whole family obsessed, and even eventually helped me get into anime was Beast Wars, the fully computerized sequal to Transformers. The action was cool, and they had a lot of kiddy jokes. This was, along with the origional Transformers, the best Transformers series.

Gaming Does GameCube Have Any Good Anime Games?
2010DigitalBoy replied to EVA Unit 100's topic in Noosphere
Now hold on, didn't Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament come out for Gamecube? Didn't it suck completely and was considered one of the worst fdighting games of all time? I do know that there are 3 fighting anime games coming out for Gamecube. Zatch Bell for GC comes out later this year, which will be interesting because you actually fight with the mamoto and their human companion. Theres also the One Piece game coming out soon, which I can't see being good, especially if it uses the same voices as the anime. I know that the Naruto fighting game series is coming out after the anime hits Cartoon Network. There is one anime fighting game I know of that is already out for Gamecube. Rave Master. I've heard that it isn't bad either, but it's not so much a fighting game as it is a party game. -
Gaming Series jokes (from Tingle to Biggs and Wedge)
2010DigitalBoy replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Noosphere
Ratchet and Clank has a running gag involving the plumber. In the first game after you meet him, he just kind of runs off saying see ya later. In Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, after you buy the quark trophy from him, he says, "I have a feeling we'll be meeting again soon" as a hint to R&C 2. In R&C 3, after you sell him all of the sewer crystals, he walks away saying, "see you soon" and sure enough Ratchet Deadlocked is coming up and Ill be damned if he doesn't show up. -
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat- one of the shortest, easiest games to beat in the history of games. Glad I didn't spend $60 on it and the controller. The game is like 3 hours long
Hold on, what? Did you beat the secret boss? That took me and my brothers well over 10 hours just to find. 22: Star Wars Episode 3 (DS): This game is surprisingly good, and the space levels rule, but it took me 2 hours to beat both storis.

The first manga I have ever owned was King of Bandits Jing. I was pretty much an anime n00b at the time, as me and my cousin who were best friends began our anime collections, we found out about something called manga. Shonen Jump had just started coming out, and I started to get into it. After a while I learned what manga was from reading Shonen Jump. I began to do research on a show called king of Bandits Jing which had its first DVD and manga coming out right before my birthday, and thats when I bought volume 1. The first manga I had ever actually read was a few months before Shonen Jump. It was Tokyo Mew Mew, because my (other) cousin was into manga and had it. I actually kind of liked it, though I was confused about how to read it.

Alright, its been well over a month, and I know you guys have beaten a few more games by now... at least I have! 20. Final Fantasy 1: Now this is what I call a classic. Awesome battle system, addictive gameplay, and four of the craziest dungeons that drove me ******* insane. Its fun getting 100 percent. 21. Zone of the Enders: A really great action game, but really short-lived. I reccomend it to anyone. I still haven't beaten most of the games I need to... Im working on Devil May Cry and Star Ocean 3.

Gaming How do you prefer racing games: realistic or wacky?
2010DigitalBoy replied to BlueYoshi's topic in Noosphere
I hate realistic car games, as they just bore the crap out of me. Why the hell do the rims on my car matter when im blasting through the streets?! F-Zero is the only racing game I've ever really gotten into. Mario Kart is pretty cool, but Double Dash just wasn't as fun for me. F-Zero, with its unrealistic speed and awesome course designs totally won me over.
