OB is healing from n00bishness, I thought. When I first joined, at the very very end of v6, there were like 50000000 n00bs on here constantly (including myself) but now there are nearly no n00bs. I almost miss those little misspellers.

Lately, I began my hunt for every Final Fantasy game, and I plan to beat them all, even the weird ones for Gameboy. So, in the last month Ive come up with 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Ive already beaten number 1, gotten to disk 2 in 8, and before my PS2 went kaput, I got nearly to the end of 10. My question is which one is best? Does #1s simple plot and addictive nature tickle your fancy? Do you like #2s adventurous confusingness? How about your pirated FF 3? 4, 5, and the legendary 6 for the SNES, or the even more legendary FF 7? What about the love story that is FF 8, the adventure that is FF 9, and the drama that is FF10? From what Ive played, Id have to pick FF 10 for my favorite, but it barely beats FF 1. I like the fact that 10s story isn't too hard to understand, yet not to simple. I like that its more like the classic Final Fantasies. Two of the past parts are the turn basewd gameplay, and switching out party members during battles. Im sure FF 9 will be one that I like a lot once I rack up a few more hours... Also, I thought Id note that FF 3 will be arriving for the DS this year!

Just because Serj sings doesn't mean he wrote the lyrics.... Ajeh, you should really check out their other albums. Personally I like this one the most, but that may be because Ive only heard it 3 times now. Toxicity: 83, SOAD: 75, Steal this Album: 59, my mom's special Rare Tracks CD: 37, the System of a Down soul concert live: 15, everything else that has any meembers of System in it or is under one of their record labels: 24. I blame my mom. I really, really like this CD because its so upbeat, fun, and different. Also, I don't know that Hypnotise will be too different, Daron quoted, "We separated the CDs so that the songs would be more individualized and therefore more appreciated." The second CD will have 13 tracks.

Ive been thinking of buying this game for quite some time now. Is it worth putting of Final Fantasy and Zelda for a while? Also, do you know anything about the online mode?
-
My mom is the biggest System fan on Earth, so naturally she got the Limited Edition CD the day it came out. After listening through it (its increadibly short) I must say, I think its their best CD yet. The lyrics were written by the guitarist Daron Malakian this time, and they are much different than Serj's lyrics. This time its less political, and more crazy. I must say, this is their most hardcore album yet. Six months from now, we'll be getting a taste of Hypnotise, their other CD. From this CD Id have to say my favorite songs are B.Y.O.B. and Sad Statue.

Ive never seen the old Mario show, but I saw the first episode of Zelda and I must say... that was the funniest complete and total piece of craappy awesomeness Ive ever seen! I loved it! It was so corny! Anyway, the Zelda, Mario, and sonic shows all had 7 episode each DVDs realeased a while ago in some classic cartoons series from some third rate DVD publisher, so you should be able to find them somewhere. That old Sonic show is still on late on Toon Disney, but god its aweful. An episode I saw was about Sonic and Tails babysitting three baby gophers while Eggman plotted some evil sceme. Sonic hates babies.

Im torn between liking and disliking this CD. I love some of the songs like You Know What you Are? and The Hand that Feeds, but others just suck. Then again Ive only ever heard around 7 NIN songs, so I wouldn't know how good they usually are.

Okay.... I read an article on it which said that its 4" by 2" and the screen is only 2" long. This causes minor problems with the text, but doesn't effect the action. Satoru Iwata said something to the effect of, "The GBM is meant for people who dont have a GBA or SP and want one. It is also for the image consience gamer, with its removable cover and custom skins. If you already own a GBASP, there is not much reason to buy this." And I probably wont. Also, it only plays GBA games, no GB.
-
Reggie Fils-Aim took GBM and compared it to an ipod mini, saying it was around a half-inch bigger. I trace an IPM and drew an approximate scale GBM, then traced a GBA. The Micro was around 3/4ths of an inch smaller per side. The screen, according to REggie, is smaller, but it is the the brightest screen ever. If its 50 bucks or less, I will buy it, despite having a GBA and an SP and my brother has a DS. I know some gamers who don't have the GBM who said they'd happily buy it if its under 60 bucks.

I don't gave a **** about the PS3 and 360, I just want to see more Revolution. They said they'd show the controller later, so I cant wait. I might watch the other press conferences, but I dont wanna waste an hour...
-
I was skeptical for a second, but then I realized something. With such a compact size and with technology as being at the DS level right now, I can't help but think, this thing is gunna be cheap. If this thing stars out at 60 or 50 bucks, everyone who doesn't have a GBA will, and I will have my third. If its 70 or over, it won't sell, but I have a feeling this will work in Nintendo's favor.
-
I just finishe dwatching the press conference, and Im frikkin ECSTATIC! WOW! Not only does that thing look sweet, but it can play any console game! Also, my money is on a DS player similar to the GBA one. Wow. Im amazed. I can't wait to see what new characheters they bring to the table, and I can see myself playing Super Smash Bros online (for FREE) for hours on end. Screw 360, screw 3, I just want 2.

Anime Samurai Champloo [from the creator of Cowboy Bebop]
2010DigitalBoy replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
Wow. I just saw the first episode on Adult Swim, and I must say, Im impressed. The battle between Jin and Mugen in the restaurant was one of the best I've ever seen. I can't wait for more! -
I just beat Fianl Fantasy one, hence the avatar, and I must say this is one of my favorite GBA games and RPGs of all time. I like that you really have to use the stat-ups for the tougher battles, since in most games you end up at such a high level it doesn't matter. This is almost true with FF, you do level up rediculously quickly, but then again, the dungeons get really strong towards the end of the game. Beating the game as fast as possible only takes around 20 hours, but beating the four secret dungeons, and getting a 100% on your bestiary takes at least 35 hours. I started on Final Fantasy 2 and 8. I don't really like 2, as its very weird, but 8 pwns.

Gaming The hardest game task you've accomplished
2010DigitalBoy replied to Sir Auron's topic in Noosphere
oh. my. frikkin. god. in final Fantasy 1, in the third Soul of Chaos dungeon, there is an insane boss. Omega. This ***** took me 35 turns to beat, on my 10th try, and it was crazy. I had my white wizard use Healaga EVERY TURN. I had my Black Wizard use Thundaga EVERY TURN. I basically had my fighter attack every turn. My Warrior just used items and upped my stats. Ive always been the kind of person who doesnt usually use stat upgrades, so this was fun for me. -
I just remembered my friend who read a TON of BS pertaining to games I had strategy guides to, and yet he still said he was right. Mostly it was SSBM. Ive heard so much BS about that its maddening. Pong WASNT the first game. It was Computer Space. Computer Space wasn't popular because it was too advanced. Pong was made by two guys with a college degree and too much time on their hands.

Thanks. You just spared me hours of researching on GameFAQS to find an Atari DK. I guess I don't know as much as I think DARNIT! Now I have to do even more research!!! Oh well, I enjoy it. Also, I remembered hearing some stupid comments. One of them was "Nintendo is an American company!" and "The PS2 was made in America!" and even worse "Pong was the first game ever!" Ive even hear "Donkey Kong was the first game ever!"
-
Oh my f'ing god. I headr the most retarded non-gamer quote ever today. In science class, we got this paper with king kong on it. My friend (well... if you want to call him that) says to me "oh yeah, like that Atari game Donkey Kong." My blood began to boil. Me and my gamer pal were like, "dude, Donkey Kong for no frikkin Atari!" he said "I have two Ataris and I have Donkey Kong!" I quickly wrote up a paragraph detailing that DK was Nintendo property and I named every Donkey Kong game. He argued "but I have it! The one where the ape jumps up the pillars and takes the princess!" I said "yeah, and you're frikkin MARIO!!!" I came to the conclusion that he actually has an NES and is dumb. Also Xy GGu I dought this idiots are doing illegal system transitions. They're just dumb.
-
Not quite what I meant. Everyone thinks Im weird, it comes naturally when you act like I do, but a friend will not judge you like that and treat you like some weirdo. My friends are constantly saying "(TOOD) you're weird" but they don't sit there and yabber on about it. IIts kind of hard to explain... just... forget I said anything.

Oh my lord... One day my brother came home from school and said that these kids had said all these dumb things about video games. I wrote a quite informal letter, beginning with the line "Dear Meatbags" but my brother never gave it to them. They said such things as "Master Chief was in another game before Halo," and, "Games come out in England way before here, next thing you know they'll have Mario Party 24 in a few years!" My lord. The other thing they said was really dumb, but I don't remember. In one millenium, I cannot even begin to list all the stupid things people have said about video games, especially since I make it a point to walk up to someone I don't even know, correct them, and argue them to the bitter end. People who know me avoid saying video game crap.

If someone isn't insulting me, chances are they are my friends. That's about 40% of what matters. I think a friend should share your interests, and not insult things you find interesting (unless its something political) 20%. A friend must not find anything you say or do abnormal, they must think of you always as their friend, never as some weirdo 10%. A friend must be willing to stick with you and not fight against you or it could turn out like the movie X 9%. A friend must keep in contact with you even after you move away, and not through frikkin chain letters! 8%. A friend must not be using you for your video games 7%. A friend must be willing to share everything. 3%. A friend must not hate your other friends 2%. A friend must not hate you 1%. Family=Best of friends, inermost circle of friendship.

Well, I think a good reason that these forums are so good is because everyone knows each other. I may have only been here for 6 months or so.. (man, Im the new guy everywhere I go) but these guys have been here for years. Also, we all seem to be literary geniuses, prodiges if you will... I would also like to thanks James and Adam for these great boards...

Fist of the North Star was pretty gory, but most of it was kind of semi-sensored. It would always have a colored background and some blood flying up. My cousin and I tend to watch the goriest anime and I would have to say Samurai X, Berserk (as I previously mentioned) and Spriggain. Spriggain is a movie which involves people getting sliced up by wire, a miniature war, a fat guy getting cut open with a machete then getting his gattling gun arm ripped of and fired at him, and a French guy who happens to know how to blow things up pretty well. Oh, did I mention the ten-year-old who can mangle things with his mind and the teanagers who strap dynamite to themselves and blow up? Also, Samurai X has some of the most gruesome deaths I have ever seen, and most of them Involve a Kill Bill amount of blood. And Berserk... well, doesn't the name say enough?

*rips the leg off a chair* EAT THIS BEOTCH!!!! *beats random people* Okay... this story was interesting. The chair leg has appeared in many of your stories lately. I think if Im talking to a primitive, their family members passing away constitutes a "cool" just because it will make them cry. Yes I realize my heart is black like the ashes of the primitive I burned with a flaming pencil.
